The heist was pulled off.

RICK: Who's gonna think there's a fake idol at Tribal Council?

Like, who would be stupid enough to do that?

Someday, my son, Michael, is gonna see this.

But if we go into a swap,

we have to be ready for battle.

So, I was thinking about this,

because in case we swap,

any one of us could end up on a tribe with Aubry.

-Yes. -The four of us.

And the idol-- I'd rather

it protect all of us, if possible.

-So, I want to get a plan together. -Okay.

So, I had two thoughts. One:

do we loop in the rest of the four?

Do we loop in Emily and Cirie?

I-I think that secures the alliance for sure.

But, like, I pretend

like I'm learning at the same time as them, right?

-Yes. -Like, you didn't tell me early, obviously.

Yes. Uh, or you found it, and you're telling us.

-Okay. -And-and-and look,

it's believable coming from you

-'cause you're the idol guy. -Yeah.

CHRISTIAN: The point of telling them that Rick found

the Billie Eilish Boomerang idol instead of me

is that, one, it's believable.

Rick is well known to find these idols.

And Rick already knows Aubry.

I don't know Aubry. It also keeps

the stink of being an idol finder off of me.

And, uh, I can pretend that I don't know about the idol.

I mean, does that... I don't want to do that

if the captain's not comfortable with it.

No, listen, I'm... I'm comfortable with that.

I love Christian's plan, and now

we're just trying to find a way to get that information

to our other two tribemates--

Cirie and Emily-- because we think

there might be a tribe switch today.

So, yesterday, after the Joe thing, I go out there.

In that big tree, like,

close to the water well, there's this idol.

You got it?

-Shut up! -But

it's not a normal idol.

It's the Billie Eilish Boomerang idol.

What?

RICK: I know, I know.

It's got very specific rules. I can't keep it.

I have to send it to someone on another tribe.

CIRIE: And who would you send it to?

-Aubry. Aubry. -Oh!

Devens said he sent his

Billie Eilish Boomerang idol to Aubry.

It made me, like, look at Devens like, "Okay,

we really are locked in."

I am with you 1,000%.

This four is my home.

RICK: Christian and I are able to fill Cirie in on the idol,

which is great, and then it's like, how do we tell

Emily about the Billie Eilish idol?

We were trying to get her, but Ozzy walks up.

It's like, we can't do it now. Then she's back

in camp with Joe and it's like, we can't get her alone.

So Emily does not have that information yet.

CHRISTIAN: So it turns out it's a switch.

And I'm panicking. It's, like, this is

my last chance to tell Emily, "Hey,

Aubry has his idol."

PROBST: Seventy-eight percent

of the fans who voted on a switch said,

"Oh, yeah, we want a switch."

So that's what we are doing today. Take those...

EMILY: Christian leans over to me and he says,

"Aubry has an idol."

And I am just dumbfounded.

Why are you

just now telling me this? I thought we were an alliance.

I thought we were working together.

And now, I'm sitting here panicking, about to get

put on a new tribe, finding out the people that I thought

I was working with may not have given me

the full of information.

-PROBST: Drop your Buffs. -[cheering, whooping]

PROBST: Everybody's fate is about

to be tossed up in the air.

We are switching tribes.

So, we are still early, Charlie,

in this season, so there's still a lot of uncertainty about

what kind of game the fans voted in.

What does a switch tell you, if anything?

I got to say, I'm kind of pissed at the fans right now.

I really thought

we were gonna have rice. No rice.

-Mm. -Now I got to be, like,

great first impressions all over again. It's, like,

every single thing the fans have voted for so far

is kind of pissing me off.

-CHRISTIAN: Charlie? -Huh?

Did you vote for a swap?

[laughing]

Tiff, talk to me about the new Kalo tribe.

Everybody here I was excited to work with on day one,

and now I'm getting a second wave of people that I wanted

to work with that I didn't get an opportunity

to work with the first time.

PROBST: All right, now let's go to the new Vatu tribe.

Christian Hubicki, Mike White,

Emily, we've got Ozzy,

Steph,

Q and Angelina.

-Christian, random draw. -CHRISTIAN: Yup.

You end up with three people

-Yup, I do. -Don't be scared. I don't like them.

-PROBST: No, well, is that... -Yeah, we hate each other.

-We hate each other. -PROBST: Is there

concern because of the optics?

Oh, there's always concerns about all kinds of things.

I-It could be a threatening thing,

or, you know, people could be like,

"Hey, you know, maybe they don't get along so great."

They did try to vote me out four times each,

so, you know, there is that.

-There's that. -PROBST: Wow. All right.

It's a brand-new game on Survivor 50.

other than you spending the day getting to know your new tribe.

KAMILLA: Wow.

GENEVIEVE: What I've surmised

from the fan voting

thus far is... the fans want us to struggle.

The fans want chaos.

And struggling and chaos is something

I'm not looking forward to, but I think that's

what the next 19 days are gonna be all about.

So, I think this is gonna be

a very crazy season.

-COLBY: Oh. -COACH: Oh.

-Wow. -So nice over here. -Yeah.

AUBRY: Wow.

CHRISSY: We're a new tribe, so don't

feel like you're in somebody else's home.

-Okay. -[indistinct chatter]

First of all, speaking of the new tribe, I think in the, uh,

Buff lotto, we did pretty dang good.

What's cracking?

[laughs]

JOE: We have muscle,

we have some brains, we have everything in between.

Everybody looks great.

I was literally, pregame,

hoping for a couple of names.

I was looking for Coach, I was looking for Colby.

I feel like they have some good core values.

And so I'm like, "All right, we could be

a good alliance and help each other out."

-Good to see you on this beach, man. -JOE: Yeah.

COLBY: Joe seems like a guy I would

easily get along with, connect with, bond with.

What I won't do-- I promise you this.

I won't lie to you.

And I'm not trying to scheme.

We're tracking each other exactly.

And then Coach Ben Wade.

We were onHeroes-Villains together.

And right out of the gate, we got

pitted against one another on a challenge

that Coach bested me on.

PROBST: Coach now dragging Colby!

COLBY: One of the toughest pride pills

I've ever had to swallow.

In spite of that, I never had issue with Coach.

He's a hell of a strong player.

I want to thank you.

Honor and integrity.

And you started saying it in 48,

and that was one of the reasons why I'm here.

I'm not kidding you.

Joe has magnificently

set the table for pillars

that I believe in:

honor and integrity.

We're talking about the warriors code.

And I initially wanted to work with Colby

because he's of the old guard.

And then you got myself,

but then you got Chrissy.

We got four. That's the numbers.

This is frigging epic!

Best tribe swap in history.

But before the swap,

if the tribe would have gone to Tribal,

Chrissy would have gone home, and I didn't want that.

So, if I can coach Chrissy

to last another day in this game, it's good for her

and it's good for me.

Chrissy, I just want to give you something.

-Just don't take this the wrong way. -Yeah.

CHRISSY: Coach tells me today after we swap, like,

"Chrissy, you talk too much."

AUBRY: Mm-hmm.

CHRISSY: Like, I get it.

The last time I playedSurvivor,

I was really aware that I was not well liked.

The only reason that I'm just

seriously having a breakdown is because

I just feel like whenever I come out here,

people just don't like me. [sniffles]

I have such a great life

that I'm like, "Why do I choose to put myself into this?"

Like, in real life,

I don't react to big things like this.

Two years ago,

I found out that I carry the BRCA gene, which means

that I was 85% likely to develop breast cancer,

25% likely to develop ovarian cancer.

And eight weeks after getting that call,

I was laying on the operating table,

having my breasts, ovaries and fallopian tubes removed.

Like, no part of those surgeries

ever got me down.

AUBRY: The swap might be

-exactly what you need. -Yeah.

I hate that you're meeting me and I'm crying, because

-No, that's okay. -I seriously don't cry on Survivor,

and here I am sitting here bawling.

Day seven of Survivor has hit me like a brick.

But at a tribe swap,

everyone needs to change up their game.

So perhaps this information from Coach was

the perfect timing for me to change up my game.

♪

CIRIE: Welcome home, guys.

Okay. Let's go.

We have a spare bedroom over there.

RIZO: Oh!

This place is nice.

KAMILLA: I was scared when I saw that I got

swapped onto the beach that had no flint

because I had been swapped onto the losing tribe before,

and it was horrible.

This tribe swap is, like, the complete opposite.

We actually have a shelter here.

They've managed to get fire going, and they've

kept it going.

JONATHAN: How'd y'all start it?

CIRIE: With my glasses

-and the sun. -Wow. Wow.

I'm not in the minority. I'm in the majority.

So this is just way better

than I could have ever imagined.

[Cirie laughs]

Yeah.

I know.

CIRIE: All the work I put in

for the last seven days just

blew out the window with the swap.

Because I end up on the tribe

with four Kalo members,

Devens and I from Cila,

and one Vatu member,

RizGod.

Okay? [laughs]

RIZO: So you want to hear a funny story?

I met you when I was 18,

at a casting call.

Are you serious?

[laughs]

CIRIE: It's like

when strangers come to your house.

Sometimes you ain't feeling

in the mood for company, right? And you got to put on that,

"Oh, I just stopped by,

I wanted to bring you something."

And you got to be like, "Oh, great. Thank you."

And inside you're like,

"I didn't want nobody to come over.

"I didn't need what you have, I didn't

ask for it." So I'm kind of feeling like,

"Aw, hell." [laughs]

Oh, my God. I love her.

JONATHAN [quietly]: I love Cirie, but I feel like

-that's a bad thing. -Because everybody loves her?

Before coming out here, my best friend looked me straight,

dead in my eyes and said, "Dee, if you're in a tribe with Cirie,

you got to get her out. Get her out."

And I go, "Damn, Mel, but I feel like I like her."

And she goes, "No, you don't get it. You have to get her out.

That's her game."

So, that is just a constant reminder that

I got to follow that intuition.

Imagine just getting blindsided and be like...

Yeah.

-I don't want to look back at that. -No.

-It would be the one opportunity. Wow. -Yup.

So just think about it.

JONATHAN: Everybody loves Cirie in this game, so,

if we lose, Cirie is gonna be the target

that we take out of here.

'Cause if we let Cirie get to the merge,

we're all in trouble.

-CHRISTIAN: Vatu. -MIKE: Hello.

How you doing?

-Mike. -Hi! It's so nice to meet you.

[indistinct, overlapping chatter]

ANGELINA: Do you guys want to

-sit around or go to the beach, or... -Q: I mean, we can.

I'm the only... Whatever. What was I?

-Kalo. -Kalo.

I'm the only Kalo here.

I'm the only one from my tribe that's on

the Vatu tribe, and I'm like, "Am I screwed?"

-Hey, we're all Vatu now. -[overlapping chatter]

OZZY: Listen.

We have, I think, the most well-rounded...

MIKE: But, like, I realize

every single person that I know in the game

prior to the game is in my tribe.

The well's that way.

MIKE: Angelina and Christian

I played David and Goliath with.

And, you know, that bonds you.

-How did this happen? -I don't know, dude.

-That's crazy. -I'm so happy.

MIKE: Ozzy, I just happened to know

through L.A. Like, he was a manager of a restaurant

that I used to go to.

And we've developed a friendship.

I feel like these are people that I want to work with.

And I was hoping that, at one point,

I would end up on a tribe with them.

MIKE: And so, like, it's a little bit

of an embarrassment of riches.

You hang the bags just here?

Man, you guys, you're campers. I love this.

Q: Right now, I don't have a vote.

So, as soon as my feet hit the sand, I have to get to work.

Ozzy got an idol, but

he don't know where it came from.

So, I'm excited

But now the job is not done.

I don't have time to play. I need to make sure

and she can be a number for us.

EMILY: I'm not super close with Ozzy, but

at the same time, I just want to work with him.

I want to get closer with him.

And I get really good vibes from Q.

I know he has a good relationship with Ozzy

because they had to spend the night together on Exile.

So I'm thinking to myself,

maybe if Q really wants to work with me

and Ozzy really wants to work with me,

that could be a tight threesome.

And I don't know if I can trust Christian.

I shared the information that Christian shared with me

that Aubry has an idol because I want them to trust me.

And while I do really like Christian,

and I have been working with him, I'm here

to play my game. I'm not here to play Christian's game.

I get it if you want to go after Angelina.

EMILY: I'm initially okay with this idea

of working with Q and Stephenie,

but at the same time, I'm like,

"Okay, the more I'm talking to them, the more

"it seems like they're just driving

"a lot of this conversation.

I'm just here for the ride."

So I'm trying, still, in my starved brain

to kind of, like, piecemeal this puzzle together.

And I'm suddenly starting to get the feeling

that I don't know if Q and Stephenie

are really being genuine with me

when they say they want to work with me.

ANGELINA: When I saw you on the mat I was, like,

-really excited about it. -I was excited, too.

-Okay. -Like, really, yeah.

No, my-my whole mentality out here is, like,

I want to play differently than I did last time.

And it's, like, it's not that I don't want to.

It's, like, I am different than last time.

It's been a long time since I've been out here.

How are you feeling about Q and Stephenie?

We had a loose group of six.

They said that Rizo would be the first to go if we had to go,

and that Genevieve would be next. That was kind of the plan.

So, I find myself alone with Angelina,

and because I am so terrible about

keeping information to myself...

I just want to be honest with you, 'cause actually,

I really like you and I feel like

-we can vibe. -I do too. Same.

I just tell Angelina everything.

Q and Stephenie-- they said I shouldn't trust you.

-Me? -Yeah.

It's probably the most intense, like, first conversation

I've ever had with somebody, 'cause it was just, like,

right to the point, and that's how Emily is.

That's how people know her as a player.

Wow. I'm so thankful for you.

I'm... I'm so happy that I... 'Cause this is, like, genuine.

ANGELINA: In this game, you're trying

to find genuine connection.

And I think it was the first moment

in these seven days that I've truly felt

like someone was being straight with me.

Sometimes I feel like I share too much information,

and I get myself in trouble.

You can trust me. I mean it.

and Emily is willing to work with Angelina,

that's a couple of my greatest fears...

My fears being that Emily would

be spooked by the fact

that we have the David vs. Goliathtrio together.

Well, guess what-- she needs us.

She can't be mad about that.

So, get us together.

CHRISTIAN: This gives me more power

because if we have all these people,

and they are, in fact, rock solid,

we can run this tribe.

GENEVIEVE: And I hope,

for you, that it is, like, cleansing.

Yes.

GENEVIEVE: I was really happy

on the Vatu tribe.

I had an alliance,

believe it or not, a majority alliance.

Very different from the last time I playedSurvivor.

And that's because

I hit the ground running.

I would love the opportunity

to play with you, if you're open for business.

GENEVIEVE: The fact of the matter is,

the first people that make you feel secure,

you're gonna attach to.

I would love to work with you.

which is great, because

And there is something

particularly delicious about voting off Q,

just because

I genuinely think he thinks he's pulling one over on us.

I genuinely want to work with him moving forward.

I am kind of the critical swing here, and I'm torn

between a couple of different sides, because, on one hand,

I don't feel like I actually have any strong,

particular loyalty to Angelina.

And while I feel like maybe I'm leaning towards

maybe voting out Q...

Why does my gut instinct tell me that?

And why do I keep ending up at Tribal Council?

And every time I've played, it's gotten harder,

a second or third or fourth time on Survivoris

you have to decide "am I going to bring that same game

or am I going to bury that game and birth a new game?"

ANGELINA: Yes, it's definitely something

for me that I thought about a lot.

You know, it's like, I'm a different person.

I've had these life experiences

that have grown my capacity

in every single way.

And so I'm back as myself now,

not the Angelina that was last time.

Of course, there's still elements of her.

I'm still fun.

But it's been really awesome

and full circle to come back and try it again this time.

PROBST: So, Mike, when you hear this idea of

coming out to play a different version, is that even possible?

Or are we, at our core, always going to

play the same kind of game,

'cause it's who we are?

You know... Like, right now,

I'm having a low. Like, just hungry

and, like, kind of miserable.

And I'm like, "Why am I back here?

"Like, what is the itch that I'm trying to scratch here?

Like, am I crazy?"

But then I realized that the highs

are because of the lows.

It's all a package. I didn't come back here

for sitting in the mud and being miserable.

But you realize

that part of it is why you feel so great

when you get an English muffin. You know what I mean?

And so that's very difficult to approximate that

in my life, you know?

CHRISTIAN: I'm sorry to interrupt, but, like,

you're talking about life.

And even here,

everyone's gonna have this death in this game

and then rebirth.

Whoever comes through at the end and wins this

is gonna have that fall.

Not to step on your metaphor, Mike. I'm sorry.

Stepped before, you'll step again.

I'm just kidding.

PROBST: Hubicki, let me just say, you should not

second-guess interrupting

one of the world's greatest storytellers

-who's dealing with a metaphor. -[laughing]

When you have an idea, you should always go there.

This is what I hoped for with Survivor 50.

Fun, layered conversation,

good-natured banter,

even at Tribal, where death is about to happen

-for somebody in this game. -All right. Yeah. Yeah. -Dead.

But one thing that's consistent, Ozzy,

this season: we still have challenges.

You, remarkably, are winless.

This is not a world that you're used to.

Is that not fair, Angelina?

-No, it's just, I didn't... -STEPHENIE: I didn't realize, yeah.

-I didn't put it together. -PROBST: Yeah.

Ozzy's been to every Tribal.

-It ain't his fault. -OZZY: But not only

have I been to every Tribal,

but I've been to a fight for supplies.

I've lost there.

So, I am hoping that we're gonna

flush out the losing out of our system eventually,

and we're gonna be on to greener pastures.

PROBST: So, Q, big stakes.

How would you describe this afternoon?

Ultimately, this Tribal here is a test for this group

so we don't end up here again tomorrow.

And somebody's gonna fail and somebody's gonna pass.

But in season 50, that also makes it difficult

because we respect each other enough to say

it's part of playing the game.

You cannot win this game without coming to this place.

So, fill in your bubble sheet,

take your vote,

and hopefully, you pass.

Wow. Emily,

part of the fun of Survivor is the vote.

There's got to be a little bit of fun and celebration

happening inside, even if you don't want to show it

out of respect for the person

who's getting their torch snuffed.

Yeah, there definitely is. I will say,

I learned the hard way through my previous season

that the impacts that you have on people

and their feelings here-- they're real.

You can't make them disappear

with a hug and a "good game."

That being said, every single person out here

actively signed up to come to a game

where they were going to be lied to

and backstabbed and ultimately have their torch snuffed.

But at the same time,

you don't need to be a sore winner

if you're still sitting here at the end of the night,

because ultimately, we can all sympathize,

'cause we're all likely going to be in that position.

PROBST: All right, it is
