these golden colors, which is then what we chose for our tablecloth. If you

remember, we chose this fabric first.

Yeah. And from that, then we made a stripe. The long tables are all in the

brocade. And then the round table, the darker one, is the wide stripe. The

lighter one is the narrow stripe.

Chef Chris's menu begins with a golden egg and caviar. And so this is

how it will be presented.

And this is the first course.

So the whole weekend, if people have come to several of these things, there's

one continuous theme, white and gold.

Which is, I mean, white and gold's you.

When will you start to build all of that? You start Saturday?

We start on Saturday the week before.

We're going to talk about the transition, January 20th, is that how do

I think there was not a lot that was changed out.

There are many key elements to consider when deciding the interior design of the

White House.

As First Lady, I honor the importance of the White House and its very special

place in our nation's history.

During my last term, I restored the Rose Garden, built the tennis pavilion,

redesigned the bowling alley, the Queen's Room.

and upgraded Camp David.

Everything that is in orange is basically in the house currently.

And the yellow marking is something that we have to find from the White House

inventory. We need to decide what kind of night.

Stents, night tables, cabinets.

I will ask my husband what he likes to.

And also for Farron's room as well.

The last time he came in at age 10 and now he's a young man.

He said that he would like to kind of have the same.

When he left, he really liked it.

So I think maybe we will just need a bigger bed because he's much taller now.

be a little bit different this time because, you know, my mom will not be

They have only five hours to change all furniture, whatever we

America because my family wanted opportunities, equality, and everything

The only thing we can do is cherish the moments we have with our family and

loved ones while they are still with us.

Today we meet with the Carter family, and tomorrow we will attend the funeral.

So I had a great mother -in -law. She was a spectacular woman, a beautiful

inside and out. And today is the one year anniversary of her death.

And we miss her.

And I don't want to say it too loud because this one had a hard time with

Her patience and skill taught me that beauty comes from dedication and that

the smallest detail matters.

The love my parents shared for over 60 years was

the foundation of our home.

It saved me and taught me what lasting love looks like.

I cherish all the incredible memories I have of my mother. There are moments

that happen every day that remind me of her. Not a day goes by that I don't

My mother passed away in the evening.

I'm planning to go to St. Patrick's Cathedral when I'm back in New York.

We were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th, 2023.

Today we are attending a wreath -laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery and

visiting the graves of three service members who died during an attack as

worked to evacuate people from Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.

Arlington is not just a sacred burial ground.

it's the soul of our nation american soldiers from every generation and every

walk of life forever together making our way towards the tomb of the unknown

soldier i think about the families of darren hoover and nicole g at the marine

corps and ryan now of the army their memories are being honored here

today at this tomb that holds no name but speaks for all who never came home.

Each headstone tells a story of courage, of love of country, and of a life given

in service to something greater than oneself.
