Because of the money that Marion spends

on gowns and jewels and expensive parties

and flying trips all over Europe, that's why.

You've completely spoiled her, Dan.

The plain truth of the matter is it's about time

that Marion quit spending money

and came home and made herself useful.

She's been a great expense to you, Dan.

An expense you couldn't afford.
