We're three days into our first official space flight,

I'm struck by its beauty.
I'm struck by its very existence.
The incalculable number of atoms
that had to converge in this tiny patch

This nebula was once a star.
It could not have evolved into this present

It makes me think of all of you, my cadets.
The paths each of you has taken,
