I am so psyched about the coaches.

As a pianist myself, my biggest musical influences

It reminds me of what I want to do with my career.

I'm just curious. I do play trombone.

It's kind of my third instrument.

I did audition Season 28.

I really focused on the performance aspect of it,

and I did not get a chair turn.

I was kind of trying to hold back my tears.

I kind of lost hope for a second,

but the moment that the coaches started giving me advice,

the phrase "rejection is redirection"

kind of came into my head.

Try it again, maybe with a different type of song.

Niall: You need to give yourself

a little bit more room to do your thing.

Since my last audition,

I have been performing nonstop with my dad.

We are a cover band.

And I've been making sure to really work on

connecting with every song I've been singing.

That was a skill that I really haven't had for most of my life,

'cause I'm only 16. Man: Turn, turn.

Liv: I'm still trying to get my driver's license.

Man: Stay in between the parking spaces.

Liv: I parallel-parked perfectly,

but, then, when it was time to park into the parking lot,

I was kind of all wonky, so it was really embarrassing.

But you know what?

I'm really gonna work on trying to get a license,

just like I'm trying to work on getting a chair turn.

Go get them.

The first time around,

I was really, really sad and kind of shocked

that I didn't get a chair turn.

And there was a moment there, I was just numb,

and I was like, "Okay. What am I gonna do now?"

I'm ready to go out there

and have the coaches really hear the connection

and hear the emotion.

and I hope I get a chair turn.

As an 18-year-old kid,

I moved to New York City.

Mary Ann: Within, what, a couple months or so.

he booked the tour of "Rent."

And I couldn't believe it.

I also did "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" on Broadway,

and then I got the role of Jesus

in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar."

It's crazy.

And, then, I end up doing that for three years

in front of thousands of people every night.

But I think at this point,

I'm really interested in exploring

my heart and my soul as a solo artist.

And "The Voice" offers such a unique opportunity

that I just can't believe I'm doing this.
