[The snowflakes on the seventh night bloom and wither. Like a short reunion and a permanent separation.]

[Snowy Night Timeless Love]

[Episode 14]

When I was dying,

I know

Chief Xue

saved my life.

I'm guilty.

I don't deserve this.

It's all my fault.

I was too stubborn.

I feel guilty towards Chief Xue.

Zhanbai.

Tell Chief Xue that

I’m willing to reveal

my crimes against the Mo Family Village

and accept my punishment.

The people from the Sword Sect are here too.

Okay.

But

before they

take me away,

I have another

important thing to do.

It's me.

I'm sorry.

Death is not enough to atone

for the sin I've committed.

I'm willing

to go to the Sword Sect

and accept my punishment,

and expose my sins

to the public

to be criticized by the people.

I only hope your souls in heaven

can rest in peace.

Master.

Chief Qiushui.

We'll get the horse ready.

Zhanbai.

Do you remember

when you were nine,

you said you'd be

a hero in the future?

I asked you then

if you knew

what a hero was.

How could I not remember?

I was young and ignorant.

You patiently explained things to me.

A hero

does good deeds

and upholds justice.

Because of my greed,

I committed a huge sin.

That is already unforgivable.

Then I wanted

to cover up the evil deed

and intended to harm someone.

Fortunately, Chief Xue

and you

stopped my evil thoughts.

Zhanbai.

I know you value relationships and bonds.

Don't blame yourself for this.

I won't blame you.

Rather, I'm glad that

you made up your mind

to hand me over to the Sword Sect.

Remember,

no matter what happens,

you must put justice first.

I'll keep that in mind.

I'm afraid

I have to break my promise.

I must trouble you to seek

the herbs yourself now.

Let's part here.

Seven, don't worry.

We'll take good care of

Chief Qiushui.

When we reach the Sword Sect,

I'll send you a message.

Thank you.

Xiao Cheng.

This horse loves

the grass here.

Xiao Cheng,

prepare more for it later.

Look, its fur is dark and bright.

Chief.

Chief.

How is it?

Almost done.

By the way, Chief,

you spent a small fortune

on this horse a few years ago.

It’s a pity to just give it

to Mr. Seven.

Yes, Chief.

This horse is very smart.

It's a good horse.

Such a good horse.

It would be a pity

to keep it confined here.

I seldom leave the valley.

I might as well

entrust it to a good master.

You're right.

Besides, this horse

knows the way back to the Apothecary Valley.

If Mr. Huo is really injured,

this horse

will bring him back to the valley.

It’s almost time.

Send it out of the valley.

-Yes. -Yes.

By the way.

If Mr. Seven asks,

tell him the horse was a gift from a patient.

Why?

Yes. Why?

Why, Chief?

There’s no reason.

You talk too much.

Come and work.

Drinking when you're upset is the most harmful to your health.

Have some ginger soup

to warm yourself up.

Thank you.

In this world,

beyond right and wrong,

good and evil,

there's also emotion.

He is your master after all.

I should thank you instead.

Chief.

-Mr. Huo. -Mr. Huo.

A patient didn't have enough medical fees,

so he paid with this horse instead.

Chief said

the trip to Qingling for Snow Poppy

is long and far.

You can ride it.

This is obviously a prized horse

from the Western Region.

It's highly sought-after.

Who was willing to use this horse

to pay the debt?

Someone who isn't shameless, obviously.

Unlike someone

who doesn't even think about paying off

his long-overdue debt.

Aren't I working at the orphanage

whenever I'm free

to pay off the debt?

Your work

isn't enough to pay the interest.

It is said that this horse can travel a thousand miles a day

and connect with its master's feelings.

If it can help you

avoid some danger,

it'll save me the trouble of healing you.

And you won't have to incur new debts

before you settle your old debt.

Thank you.

I told you someone else used it to pay the debt.

Feng Lyu.

These are the herbs

for Brother Meng.

And this.

This safety lock

is for Chu's child.

It's so precious.

I’ll thank you

in Chu's place.

That's enough.

It’s late. Why are you still here?

[Ping'an Inn]

So pretty.

Brother Meng.

Here.

The friend

I mentioned to you last time

said she drank Chu's wedding wine

and liked it a lot.

So she got me to bring some gifts.

She's being too polite.

Father.

This gift box

is from Brother Huo too.

I heard that

the cold medicine from the Apothecary Valley

is very effective.

All sects give this

to each other as gifts.

It's getting cold lately.

What a timely gift.

Thank you, Brother Huo.

It's my pleasure.

Bring the wine over.

Go now.

Okay.

Okay.

The wine I gave you last time

was brewed by my wife.

She can brew as much wine

as you want.

If your friend likes it,

you can bring her along.

Unfortunately, she has a cold disease.

She can't leave her house for too long.

You're here, aren't you?

If she likes it,

you can send it to her.

You are right, Brother Meng.

I warmed the wine.

It's perfect to drink now.

Pour it for him.

It's okay.

I'm not a stranger,

no need for formalities.

Alright, off you go.

Okay.

Okay.

Enjoy your wine.

I'll go check if the mutton my wife

is cooking for you is ready.

Okay.

The valley has a suture contest every year

and Shuang Hong is always the winner.

Chief,

why don’t we change the contest

next year?

What do you want to change it to?

How about knife skills?

We'll cut the tofu here.

After you master suturing,

we can have the knife skills contest.

Stop.

The stitches are skillful

and tidy.

Feng Lyu was right.

The first place this year

must be Shuang Hong.

Thank you, Chief.

Shuang Hong.

This box of silver needles has been with me for years.

Today, I'll give it to you.

I’ll entrust you with the valley's suturing work

in the future.

Thank you, Chief.

Check out this hand warmer.

Take it.

Okay.

Hand warmers for sale.

Steamed buns.

Miss, come and take a look.

Let me see.

Hand warmers for sale.

Newly-made hand warmers.

Sir,

you look strong.

You don't need a hand warmer.

Are you buying it for someone else?

Is it for someone you like?

It's for a friend

who is more important than normal friends.

I apologize.

The four of you together

failed to kill Qiushui He?

Doctrine leader.

This time, that Huo Zhanbai

who pretended to be my father

intercepted again.

If not, I alone could...

I don't want to hear

your excuses anymore.

I didn't do my job well.

Please punish me.

Ming Li.

Miao Huo.

Go to the Snow Prison to receive your punishment.

Yes.

Eye.

This is your second failure.

I'm willing to make up for my mistake

and make Qiushui He disappear forever.

No need.

Qiushui He has entered the Sword Sect.

The Sword Sect is heavily guarded.

It's not easy

to kill him.

Then I will go south immediately

and wait for the chance

to kill him.

Eye.

I have the final say

on who you must kill.

Understand?

Reflect on yourself under the sun.

Yes.

I have something important to report to you.

It's about the Mo Family Village.

Tell me.

During the Mo Family Village massacre,

apart from the survivor we know of,

there was actually another survivor.

Who?

Xue Ziye, Chief of the Apothecary Valley,

When Xia Qianyu and Zhou Xingzhi, the fourth

and eighth disciples of the Sword Sect,

took Qiushui He from the Apothecary Valley,

they didn't seem to be asking him

to participate in something important.

On my way back,

I carefully investigated

and found out what happened.

I didn't do my job well back then.

Please punish me.

Looks like another one

got away.

Now the whole martial world thinks

that Qiushui He massacred the Mo Family Village.

Then we'll let

Qiushui He

take the blame for us.

Feng.

Rise.

Thank you, Doctrine Leader.

You brought back

such interesting news.

Consider it making up for your mistake.

Rise.

Thank you, Doctrine Leader.

Do you need me

to get rid of her?

No need.

She managed to save Qiushui He

from Eye's grasp.

As expected from the martial world's

miracle healer Xue.

We'll let her live for now.

One day, I will make her regret

that she didn't die on that New Year's Eve.

[Young Miao Feng]

Emissary Miao Feng.

Are you regretting it?

Do you regret that

you took

so many lives back then?

Do you regret hurting

your chess friend?

Emissary Miao Feng.

Don't forget that

the reason you can

learn the Spring Breeze mental technique

is because your mind

is extremely simple and pure.

Besides the Doctrine Leader's safety,

you have no distractions.

According to the Doctrine Leader,

you have to watch the sun for 12 hours this time.

If you fail again in the future,

I'm afraid the time will be doubled.

Eye.

Aren't your most proud

of your eyes?

But eyes

can't fight against the sun.

Enjoy it.

Didn't you want to make up for your mistake?

Xiaoyao Villa

refused to submit to Yuan Yi Palace

and heed the Doctrine Leader's orders.

Go

and get the head

of the Xiaoyao Villa's chief.

Mr. Li?

Mr. Li.

Why are you here?

My body is hopeless.

My head

is hurting again.

Let's go.

Enter the valley.

Okay.

Mr. Li.

Seriously...

Let's go.

Next time,

just ask Long or someone else

to come up and call for me.

Don't come up here alone again.

Also,

your sweet potatoes

are really delicious.

Shuang Hong and the others love them.

But

don't give us more next time.

Otherwise,

I won't treat you anymore.

Okay.

My son

who passed the exam

sent me a letter.

How is he?

It's been a long time since you saw him, right?

Yes.

It's been three years.

He said

he was sent

to Qingling for work.

It's far away.

But in my heart,

I'm happy.

So happy.

Thank you so much.

If it weren't for the

funds you provided for him

to take the exam at the capital,

we wouldn't have...

I told you, it's a loan.

Yes, yes.

You said

your son went to

Qingling for work.

How is the weather there?

Cold.

Very cold.

It's extremely cold.

In his letter, he wrote that

there was a snowstorm that lasted for days

and even an avalanche.

Many people died.

Is your son alright?

He’s an official now,

he must go to the scene to help.

I know him.

With his temper,

whenever something happens,

he will be the first one to rush forward.

I'm always

worried about him.

Don't worry.

He will surely come back safely.

Yes.

You're right.

He will surely come back safely.

Let's go.

Back to the Apothecary Valley.

♫Longing etched in my heart, but all it brings is parting♫

♫Plum blossoms are about to fall; I'll see you here♫

♫Why are you late and why is it about to snow again?♫

♫Warm stovetops and green film in wine, like an eternal farewell♫

♫Don't stop drinking; keep lingering and enjoy the long night♫

♫After all these years, my yearning for you is still as clear as the bright moon♫

♫Looking into the distance, speechless and sleepless♫

♫Warm stovetops and green film in wine, like an eternal farewell♫

♫Don't stop drinking; keep lingering and enjoy the long night♫

♫After all these years, my yearning for you is still as clear as the bright moon♫

♫Looking into the distance, speechless and sleepless♫

Chief.

Did anyone enter the valley?

No.

Huo Zhanbai.

Huo Zhanbai?

Chief.

My eyes...

My eyes!

I can't see!

I can't see!

Calm down.

Calm down.

This is snow blindness.

It’s just temporary.

Chief Xue.

I…

I thought you were

planning to tease me

and tell me I'd be blind forever.

So,

I was playing along.

Looks like

you not only hurt your eyes

but also your head.

By the way, Chief Xue.

Planning to ask how long it'll take

for you to recover and go herb-seeking again?

I just wanted to ask

what day it is today.

After getting the Snow Poppy,

I fainted on the horse

and don't remember anything else.

It's the seventh day of the first month.

It's already the first month?

Now that I think about it,

I have to thank your horse

for knowing the way back to the Apothecary Valley.

Without it,

I would have died on the way.

By the way, Chief Xue.

I left the Snow Poppy on the horse.

Did you see it?

Shuang Hong and the others

have put it in the ice cave.

Okay.

That's good.

That's good.

I heard there was an avalanche

in Qingling.

Good thing I'm good at martial arts

and the flying technique.

I rushed down the mountain in time.

See?

I'm completely fine.

I think it's all because of luck.

Luck is a part

of one's strength as well.

What about next time?

Will you be so lucky next time?

Can't you hope the best for me?

Stop looking for the herbs.

Why?

Have you found another way

to cure Mo?

No.

Then...

I told you before that

I cannot confirm

the effectiveness

of the prescription.

You're risking

your life

for an uncertain prescription.

♫As the wind blows and the snow falls, the scent of plum blossoms sighs♫

What if one day

you really lose your life?

♫You nestle close, your whisper slow and tender♫

No matter what,

♫In the shadow, the stories of the heart remain untold♫

as long as I'm alive,

I can rush back to the Apothecary Valley.

I trust that you,

Chief Xue,

can drag my life

back from hell, can't you?

♫The bright moon in clouds reminds me of yesteryear♫

♫Drifting like smoke, I journey into the long night♫

♫In so deep, I'm trapped in the whirlpool of fate♫

Chief Xue?

♫In this world, light takes your form♫

I'm sorry.

I thought you left.

♫Following your direction, together we tread this path♫

♫Joy and tears blurred the line between love and hate♫

Is something bothering you, Chief Xue?

You can tell me.

Yes.

I think you're planning to

♫Eyes reddened, love etched on the heart♫

become a freeloader here.

Although your previous debt

has been settled,

I just

saved you again.

Judging from what you said just now,

you want me to save you a few more times.

The price is 100,000 per visit.

Are you really going to pay back with your body?

My ear suddenly

can't hear anything.

What’s going on?

Please show mercy, Chief Xue.

Please show mercy.

Your temporary blindness

needs three months

to recover.

After that,

I will come to give you a massage every day

with medicinal wine

to boost blood circulation and disperse clots.

It takes three months?

I guess my injury this time

isn't just temporary blindness.

Of course.

Although your blindness is temporary,

your head injury

is caused by blood stasis in your head.

If you can't wait,

there is also a fast way.

I can use acupuncture to forcibly

restore your sight

and temporarily

suppress the blood stasis in your head.

But after you recover,

if you fight again

during your herb search

and receives a concussion,

the blood stasis in your head can move at any time.

If you're lucky, you'll be blind forever.

If not, you will die.
