Episode 6

Are you... are you Doctor's Son?

Answer me!

Turn around.

Turn around!

What are you doing?

- You aren't going to finish it? - Me alone is enough.

Killing police officers...

- Are you really serious? - Really.

I really should have finished him. I regret it now.

They have your montage now.

Turn around!

How did you know where to find me?

You knew I have a friend in the special unit.

Call the imaging center and schedule a MRI and a CT scan ASAP.

- You should wait outside. - Yea... yes.

Mr. Ji, Mr. Ji Hyung Min. Do you know where you are?

Director Min. Was it your order?

Did you reverse my order to pull out the team?

- Yes, I did. - Hey, you!

We arrested the leader of Scale, Meth Kim.

and discovered the one who's been leaking the inside information.

We have such good results from this operation.

So what was so urgent that it required the team to pull out from the scene?

It's a complete mess!

Are you saying that catching some druggies

is much more important than the chain of command and the order of rank?

Fine. After that...

what would you be able to do with the destroyed organizational structure?

You want me to go out there and arrest drunk drivers or something, huh?

What happened?

What?

Gyung Mi.

I'm doing the right thing, right?

Gyung Mi.

Gyung Mi.

No.

Can you hear me, Mr. Ji Hyung Min?

Mr. Ji Hyung Min.

I'm going to open your eyes.

Mr. Ji Hyung Min, do you know where you are?

Do you remember why you came here?

They said he had a concussion, but it was fortunate that he had a nosebleed.

Were you able to confirm Doctor's Son's face?

No, I got there after he'd fled the scene.

Why do you recklessly leave your traces behind?

Because I need to let them know

that I did not kill Gyung Mi.

I'm going to find out everything.

Oh, Deputy Commissioner Kang.

How can you take care of things like this?

Oh my, you scared me.

Are you screaming at me now?

You should have wrapped up everything nice and neat.

What are you going to do if Suh Yoon Gyung talks?

It was my understanding that it was the Deputy Commissioner's

job to stop the special unit. Isn't that right?

That's not the pressing issue now.

If something happens to me, you won't be safe either.

I'll text you the location of the hospital where Suh Yoon Gyung is.

You better take care of things.

This is a win-win deal.

What? What did he say?

Amongst our guys, pick someone relatively new.

Someone who doesn't really know us well.

You go and thoroughly interrogate those bastards we arrested from the scene.

Yes.

- What about you? - I should stay here.

- I need to answer this phone. - Wait for me. I need to eat something.

I said okay. How could I do that now?

I'm working now. Okay. I'm going to hang up.

What was so serious?

She says the kid needs one more after school program.

You mean Hye Sun?

She's in the ninth grade now. The college entrance war has just begun.

So, you want me to help you out?

What?

I mean, I don't have a family. And I have no big expenses.

Send me your account number. I'll take care of it.

[Suh Yoon Gyung]

Whose order was it?

Who was it? Tell me.

Who sent you here?

Team Leader!

I'm sorry. I should have caught him in front of the room.

Did you see what happened?

Who did this?

- Some man. - Where did he go?

He went that way.

Detective Suh.

- Who are you? - Who do you think I am?

Who are you? Who are you?

Someone who could drop you from here.

Can I hear more details about that day?

Where is Doctor's Son?

- You mean he's Doctor's Son? - Where is he?

Even after seeing this, you still want to be silent?

I really don't know anything.

They sent him to kill you.

It's Deputy Commissioner Kang.

What?

It's Deputy Commissioner Kang Min Sup.

I'm not sure what you are talking about.

- I told you to delete it. - Excuse me?

I'm telling you to delete Detective Lee's cellphone location record.

Make sure Ji Hyung Min can't find Detective Lee Gyung Mi's location.

Do you understand what I'm saying?

Yes, Detective Suh. What happened?

It's me, Deputy Commissioner.

Oh, that's right. Team Leader Ji. What's going on?

Detective Suh has just...

revealed everything.

Would you like to get caught and be humiliated

or would you like to turn yourself in and keep some fragment of your dignity?

If I were you, I'd choose the latter.

Why?

Because if I catch you now, I might kill you right on the spot.

You won't understand why.

Why Scale turned himself in.

Why I had to make such choice.

Why we have to get Doctor's Son.

You know nothing about that.

Now that we're here, I think you are quite a good cop.

But I wonder how long you could stay that way.

Hello.

Have you found anything that might give us clues?

Just as in the gunshot residue analysis, they said it was definitely a suicide.

Why Scale turned himself in. Why I had to make such a choice.

Why we have to get Doctor's Son. You know nothing about that.

It wasn't a suicide. Definitely not.

Team Leader!

- Welcome. - Give her anything she wants.

Let's play. Here I come.

Roll down the window!

Roll down some more!

Are you paying attention to the road or not?

I'm so sorry.

Who are you?

Who are you?

Nice to meet you. Put your clothes on and have a seat.

This asshole is... how dare you tell me what to do?

Sit down.

Out of all the suspects you indicted, do you remember Lee Jin Sook?

So what if I do?

Lee Jin Sook, you'll pull her out and she won't be indicted.

You asshole, who do you think you are telling me to pull her out or not.

Do you think the prosecutor's office of Korea is some kind of valet parking?

How many narcotics cases do you get in a year?

You won't have to do anything for several years.

What are you talking about?

Doctor's Son, I'm sure you've heard of him.

- So? - I'll help you get him.

You want to sell your friend?

Some would choose to do drugs if his close friend does drugs.

Some would choose to call the police instead.

Out of the two, who do you think is the true friend?

Out of the two, I wonder who the true friend is.

Think hard about it.

Lee. Jin. Sook, you're not going to indict her.

Ah! Your new girlfriend wanted me to give this to you.

It's cocaine with the purity over 90 percent.

Don't worry. It won't harm your health.

What kind of friend I'll be...

will be entirely up to you.

You shouldn't be moving around so soon.

You must rest, you know.

If I stay idle in a place like this, I may really get sick.

Team Leader Ji.

We're from the internal affairs. You'll need to come with us.

You wire-tapped your colleague.

In addition, you injured her by shooting her leg.

As I heard, you are incredible. What was the reason?

If she was under suspicion, you should have

followed the standard procedure to investigate her.

Team Leader, I know how you are. You are the ace in the police force.

You need to tread carefully on this one.

If you insist on being uncooperative, there's no way I can help you.

I don't need any help.

Team Leader.

You may think you don't need help. But I'd like to help.

So, you found out that

Detective Suh Yoon Gyung's was involved in an illegal conduct.

Detective Suh...

has never done that.

Long time no see.

You need to entertain someone or something?

Want me to make a call and find you a room?

I'm about to reinvestigate your case.

I'm Min Byung Ho, an attorney who will be defending your case.

This is attorney Min.

Why don't you talk to him?

- Just listen. - Okay.

You'll be released soon.

Thank you.

You don't need to thank me.

Jin Sook, you need to promise me one thing.

What?

You should leave this business.

It's hard for me to watch you living this life.

Please.

Okay, should we practice our lines now?

You had a meeting with your regular customer

Jung Sam Duk at Flora Hotel.

Wait a minute.

Go ahead and continue.

Flora Hotel, room 1403 was communicated incorrectly

by Jung Sam Duk who was intoxicated at the time.

Hence you mistakenly went to the room 1503, where the narcotics deal was being made.

Lee Jin Sook has no connection to narcotic organizations.

This is the detailed summary of the incident.

Request granted.

Due to insufficient evidence, the prosecution will drop the charges.

You can sign the paper and leave.

- I can really go out now? - Make sure you reserve a room for me.

Where are you going?

You should call me 'big sister' next time, okay?

See you later.

She must be leaving now.

Soo Min, it's such an honor.

Such a great person like her letting you call her 'big sister.'

You must be thrilled. Let's go.

Answer the damn phone!

What's going on? You wanted to see me and all.

I'm not going to beat around the bush.

Not that I have the personality for it.

I heard you care about Ji Hyung Min.

Currently, I feel that the things are not quite going the way it should.

I heard Ji Hyung Min is detained at the internal affairs.

I'm wondering whether you have a way to get him out.

I guess you don't.

Everything that's happening right now.

What would the reporters do if they found out?

I think the police would look a bit ridiculous.

Okay, let's do it this way.

Let's say nothing ever happened.

There was no one leaking information.

Deputy Commissioner had been suffering from depression and chose the wrong path.

The female detective was shot in the leg by a drug gang during the investigation.

Do you understand what I'm talking about?

Here. Why don't you have a drink.

Let us know whenever you need us.

I guess he's your father after all. He got you out.

I'm sure his motive wasn't as innocent as that.

You can tell by looking at the fact that he took Meth Kim.

What Deputy Commissioner had said is still bothering me.

Why Scale turned himself in. Why I had to make such choice...

Why we have to get Doctor's Son. You know nothing about that.

Then does that mean there is is someone else behind Deputy Commissioner Kang?

Whoever that is, we need to find him.

The prosecutor's office has made a move.

Nothing happened.

Nothing.

And you.

You leaving the special unit was one of the conditions.

You are going to be on standby for a while.

Chief Yang will be leading the special unit.

Congratulations.

- I'm sorry, Team Leader. - Don't worry about it.

Would you give me some time to sort out my things?

Let's go.

The unfortunate incident that occurred on the seventeenth.

The death of Deputy Commissioner Kang Min Sup has been determined as a suicide.

We've confirmed the hospital record

that he suffered from depression due to a domestic trouble.

We suspect that this situation drove him compulsively to make the choice he made.

Team Leader!

I'm sorry. I'm late so...

Hyung Min.

Where are you going with all your stuff packed up?

You need to remain in the special unit and continue with the investigation.

If you keep this up, I'm going to think you are trying to interfere with things.

You are right. I'm trying to interfere.

I can't be reporting to Chief Yang and receiving orders.

Don't worry. I'm going to continue with my investigation.

It might tough doing it alone but...

The only person one can trust is oneself.

Deputy Commission Kang, it definitely wasn't a suicide.

The suicide thing was the only way to pull you out of internal affairs.

I know.

So he said he'll help you catch Doctor's Son.

- Yes. - However...

You know nothing about him other than the fact that he's called President Jung.

Prosecutor Ahn, aren't you an upperclassman now?

I'm sorry. I'll look into it in more detail.

Yeah, you should.

I dropped all the charges for Lee Jin Sook and let her go. What should I do?

- Watch her. - Okay.

And also...

The police special unit...

Find a way for us to control them.

Why would you...

You know the Director Min.

He seems to know how to play a game of masquerade.

Shi Hyun. So why did you get black bean noodles?

Drink some water.

Black bean noodles. So uncool.

Shi Hyun.

Try this one.

Don't forget. If you pallet becomes low class your life will become low class, too.

Deputy Commissioner Kang didn't commit suicide.

I know.

I'm sure it was either Safari's or Pusan's doing.

Man, I should have caught him first.

The one who killed Gyung Mi and tried to kill me

could have been Deputy Commissioner Kang.

- What is it? - Money.

Surprised? Open it.

Your last one was too old.

That's why I shot it.

[The Director of the Detention Center]

Yes.

Lee Jin Sook was not indicted?

It's me.

Congratulations on your graduation.

Thank you.

And...

What you said about me leaving this business.

I've thought about it.

I don't think it'll happen.

Because there's someone who's after my head.

Shouldn't we get that bastard and kill him?

Ji Sook was released.

So, have you guys become sworn sisters or something?

I'm waiting for the right time.

Do you really want me to cut you open and make you spit everything out?

Okay, I'll do it.

Shit! God dammit.

Excuse me?

We need to celebrate. Pick up some outfits and shoes and send them over.

Yes.

Ah, really.

Let me get out of here, now.

What?

Have you forgotten that you are here for the special robbery?

Fine. Even if I get you out of here

what would happen if Lee Jin Sook found out?

A pro like Lee Jin Sook will figure it out in a second.

Then that'll be the end of it.

Either you become an undercover and catch Doctor' Son...

Or you can forget about avenging for Gyung Mi.

Hand my case over to the prosecution.

I'm going to go to trial and prove that I'm innocent.

To be precise, your case is an attempted sexual assault case.

You did hurt him. You can make him get punished but...

if you aren't careful, you can be charged with excessive self-defense.

If you are lucky and just get fined...

that prison record will permanently left on your record.

It happened during my police duty.

- If it weren't for that... - You're not police, yet.

Not until you get Doctor's Son.

Then I'll get him.

Why? You think I can't do it?

Park Eun Hye tried to kill Lee Jin Sook?

Yeah.

- And you stopped it. - Yeah.

Park Eun Hye was moved to a different room.

And I was subjected to solitary confinement.

As Lee Jin Sook was leaving

she told me to call her 'big sister.'

Just when I thought I had finally become closer to her.

I can't stay here.

Do you still have the record from the Yoon Soo Min's case?

Wrap it up and send it to the prosecution as soon as possible.

Just do as I tell you!

No, come to the prosecutor's office right now with her case record.

You just need to tell them the truth.

- You understand? - Yes.

Remember. If you make me come again

then I'm really going to cut it off.

I got it. I'll definitely turn myself in.

Thanks.

Why did you hold on to this case for so long?

I thought it was a simple special robbery case.

But when I looked into it...

the convenient store owner was actually the culprit.

I was trying to figure out the detailed circumstances, so it got delayed.

- Thanks. - Buy me a drink later.

Okay, see you later.

Ji Hyung Min.

You should come to our class gathering.

Even though you went back to the police, you are still part of our class.

A wallet and a cellphone. It's correct, right?

You've been very good lately, so I am very pleased.

This is your reward.

So you did buy this with your own effort.

And this.

You know Ms. Lee Jin Soo.

She gave this to you so you wouldn't look so dumb when you get out.

Congratulations on your graduation.

Ms. Jin Sook.

I told you to call me 'big sister.'

What would you like to do?

Guys?

Let's go.

As soon as I came out, this was the first place I hit.

What do you think? Don't you feel like you've become a woman again?

Don't be careless because you're young. You'll get there very soon.

Thank you. I had no idea you helped me out.

I told the continent store owner I'd cut his thing off if he didn't turn himself in.

He was begging me with tears and snot.

You should have seen that asshole's face.

That's the only thing that's regrettable.

I don't think I need this many.

One of the three big lies is a woman claiming that she doesn't need clothes.

If I can't do this much for someone who saved my life

my life would seem real cheap. Wouldn't it?

Then, can you do something about the driver?

This is an underwear shop.

Can't be helped, because the world is so freaking rough.

You job must be dangerous.

Why? Are you interested?

No, I was just curious.

Then stop being curious.

Looks good. Take this one, too.

Because there's someone who's after my head.

Shouldn't we get that bastard and kill him?

Who are you?

Sit down.

Who was it?

Who hired you to kill Lee Jin Sook?

Excuse me?

I called you earlier.

I'm Team Leader Ji Hyung Min from the special unit.

Ms. Park Eun Hye is currently talking to her attorney in the special visitor's room.

What's the name of her attorney?

It's attorney Min Byung Ho.

Min Byung Ho.

The attorney who defended Lee Jin Sook.

Wait a minute!

- What is it? - Did Lee Jin Sook send you?

Who?

Ah, Ms. Lee Jin Sook.

But who could you be?

I'm Ji Hyung Mi from the special unit.

I'm not sure why you are mentioning Ms. Lee Jin Sook but

I'm here for the Ms. Park Eun Hye's appeal case.

The lawyer whose retainer alone is over ten million won

is defending Ms. Park Eun Hye?

Ah, from time to time, I do take on pro bono cases.

Is that a problem?

Delete all those CCTV records.

Yes, I understand.

If you understood, hurry up and go now.

The CCTV record?

There is no CCTV in the special visitor's room.

Let me see.

I'm Ji Hyung Min from the special unit.

I'm investigating the incident that occurred on the fifth.

What the hell are you doing now?

I'm resetting the tape.

Play it from the beginning.

Stop.

Ji Hyung Min from the special unit appeared out of the blue and...

I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Why did he have to come in right at that moment?

Stop this whole thing right now.

Lee Jin Sook started this first.

So, you want to take it to the end?

Let me ask you one thing.

What's there between you and Lee Jin Sook?

You didn't do it. Jin Sook got me out of there.

Were you going to leave me in there?

Did you forget?

Lee Jin Sook is the part of Doctor's Son's organization that killed Gyung Mi.

You are an undercover agent who's supposed to try to catch her.

Never forget who you are.

We do have something to talk about.

Come back down right now.

You said you wanted to talk to me about something?

- I'd like a job. - A job?

So he tried to kill Lee Jin Sook?

Are you covering for him because he's your friend?

Have you developed a real friendship?

He's just one of the ones you need to catch.

I heard you have the CCTV record from the visitor's room.

He is the only one who came to visit her before the incident.

You probably know who he is.

I've never seen him before.
