Doctor's Son... Are you Doctor's Son?

- Who are you? - Answer me!

Don't move!

I'm detective Lee Gyung Mi from the special unit.

You are under arrest for the possession and the trafficking of illegal substances.

Shi Hyun?

That hurts. Mister!

I told you I don't want to go there. Let me go back!

You're Shi Hyun, aren't you? Nice to meet you.

Are you really leaving?

Do you want to come with me?

Then I'm going.

- Shi Hyun! - Auntie!

It's been such a long time!

What? Did you leave something behind?

No.

Hey, Lee Gyung Mi.

Come here.

You crazy bitch!

Hey, Lee Gyung Mi.

I'm not asking you to really go out with an old man.

I'm saying I just want to use your good looks.

I don't want to.

You get a room and just need to lure an old fogey in. That's all.

And we'll take care of the rest.

I'm saying you don't actually need to do it.

I have to get to my part-time job. So get out of my way.

How dare you.

Get lost!

Are you okay?

You want a drink?

Let go.

Excuse me. I'd like a bottle of beer.

If you're gonna drink, you gotta do it right. Here.

Don't laugh.

What is this? Why show up out of the blue after three years?

And you had to show up at such an embarrassing moment...

Hey, aren't you glad to see me? I'm really glad to see you.

- What is it? - It's something you need.

It's time for you to become independent.

How much do you have in here? Is it about 200,000?

Take it back and use it as your spending money.

Do you know how much I earn in a month?

I have at least 20 misters, who are my regulars.

I deal with older men, you know.

My mom was a hooker.

A hooker in a brothel...

When she was pregnant with me, everyone told her to get rid of me.

Because she wouldn't be able to work for 10 months while she was pregnant.

But still, my mom didn't give up on me.

Until the day she died from a drug addiction

she never once gave up on me.

What about it?

You want me to cry with you?

I don't remember it well but...

I guess my mom was good looking. I heard she was very popular.

She was so popular that there used to be long lines outside the brothel...

There were so many customers that...

I don't know even know who my father is.

Don't you want to take revenge?

Don't you want to take revenge on your parents who abandoned you?

I'm going to take revenge...

on my father.

- But you said you don't even know who he is. - My father is...

the world.

The world that made my mom like that.

Gyung Mi.

The world is like a mirror.

If you spit and curse at it...

the world will spit and curse back at you.

If you laugh... I'm sure the world will follow and laugh with you, too.

So don't be so serious and...

just laugh.

You're pretty when you laugh.

Wow!

It's really nice. It's really nice!

You've had this all along?

I'm sorry. I really wanted to get you that exact same house.

I couldn't find a house that was exactly like the drawing.

You should have paid extra attention to your drawing.

It's not the drawing. It was probably the the money that was the problem.

I'm sorry. I'll get you exactly the same looking house later.

I'm just kidding.

Forget about all the unpleasantness and make a fresh start here.

- Thank you. - Then do your best. I'm leaving.

Shi Hyun.

- I've made up my mind. - On what?

I'm going to become a police officer.

- You look great. - Thank you.

You look really good. Very cool. You're the best.

Thank you.

Why isn't he answering?

I wanted to show this to him.

- Gyung Mi. - Soo Min.

Who did you want to show this to?

Oh, there's someone I really want to show how I become a police officer.

- Who? - Just someone.

A boyfriend?

It's not like that.

- Let's go. - Gyung Mi.

- I'm right. It's your boyfriend, isn't it? - I said no.

- I think I'm right. - Let's just go in.

- Is he good-looking? - It's not like that!

Congratulations.

[Gyung Mi]

Shi Hyun.

Why are you... here...

Gyung Mi.

I've got him. What should I do?

Yes, I understand.

You can't be...

Doctor... Doctor's Son?

Gyung Mi. Let me...

- Eagle two. Enter! - Eagle two. Enter!

What's the situation?

Gyung Mi.

Gyung Mi.

Wake up, Gyung Mi. Wake up.

Wake up, Gyung Mi.

Wake up... Gyung Mi. Wake up. No...

Wake up. No, Gyung Mi.

Gyung Mi! No! Gyung Mi!

There is a sniper.

Three o'clock!

Gyung Mi... Gyung Mi... Wake up...

Gyung Mi.

Team Leader Ji!

Hyung Min!

Soo Min!

What the heck?

Get in!

Okay, okay.

Cheers to the bloody gang!

Stop talking about that, now.

It's so embarrassing.

Really? My waist still hurts from you hitting me that time.

Okay. Stop it now.

- Do you remember? - Huh?

Whenever we were taken to a station, Gyung Mi always used to bail us out.

I wonder what would have happened to us without Gyung Mi.

Tell me about it.

I miss you Gyung Mi!

Detective Lee.

Detective Lee.

Hey, what's this? Huh?

Hey, detective Lee.

Hey, Hey, stop! Stop right there!

Congratulations! Registration number 814...

Name Yoon Soo Min has been admitted.

What's going on? Did a war break out?

Joo Young!

- Joo Young! - What? What?

- I got in. - Got in where?

The police academy?

- Really? - Yeah!

You crazy chick! You did it!

A phone call.

Maybe it's Gyung Mi.

Oh, Chief Yang.

What about Gyung Mi? Let me talk to Gyung Mi.

Why not? Is she not there?

Where is she?

What are you talking about?

Hey... you shouldn't joke like that.

[Visitors' Room for Families]

Detective Lee... Let's have a drink.

Do Hoon, what are you doing?

- Why are you taking me away? - Let's go.

Why are you...!

- Gyung Mi, why are you here? Get up already! - Do Hoon...

It really is unfortunate.

Why did you have to send such a young female officer

into such a dangerous mission and create trouble?

I've spoken to the Commissioner so...

you don't need to worry about the special unit.

Apart from this incident, with whatever that happens from now on...

make sure you report that in advance.

I'm going to manage the special unit myself.

I'll hear that directly from the Commissioner.

Call everyone in the special unit for a meeting.

Just a moment ago... we were at Detective Lee's burial.

Well... I do have something I need to tell you.

Detective Lee...

was pregnant.

I don't think even Detective Lee knew.

That's why she volunteered for such a dangerous...

I'm sorry... that I have to report such news.

I was going to...

propose to you in a really romantic way.

But it's too late, now.

After this mission is over...

let's have the potato stew and soju we couldn't have because of Soo Min.

I'm sorry.

Who is it?

Package delivery.

It's all scratched up.

Gyung Mi...

Does it make sense that you did this just for a cellphone?

They started it first. They said we were orphans without cellphones.

But that's the truth.

An orphan without a cellphone... isn't that true?

But that's not your fault.

That's the fault of your irresponsible parents who dumped you off at an orphanage.

Because of your parents...

because of your parents, who abandoned you...

because of your parents, who you despise...

you drink, skip school, get into trouble, and get sent to police stations...

What's the meaning in that?

If you want to fight, don't fight for them. Fight for yourself.

Don't you want to buy a cellphone with your own effort?

Don't you want to take revenge on the world that made you an orphan?

How? How are we going to do that?

How the hell do we take revenge on the world that has no interest in us!

The world is like a mirror.

If you spit and curse at it...

the world will spit and curse back at you.

If you laugh... I'm sure the world will follow and laugh with you, too.

If you can make this shitty world follow you and laugh...

you've taken your revenge.

Soo Min. Happy Birthday!

I didn't think I could give it to you in person because I'm about to get real busy.

So don't be disappointed.

But this is the latest model. Very pricey.

You've been very good lately so I am very pleased.

This is your reward.

So you did buy this with your own effort.

Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday to my Soo Min.

Happy birthday to you.

Love you, Soo Min.

Because it was you, I could relax.

I thought you'd protect her and make her happy.

But then why?

Why did you send Gyung Mi there?

Gyung Mi... I promise that...

I'll definitely catch Doctor's Son with my own hands.

No... I'm going to kill him with my own hands.

I'm sorry.

Now... I'm going to have to... fight the one you loved.

So if I do as you tell me, what would you do for me?

Huh? What would you do for me?

It's been a long time.

You've aged quite a bit.

You... haven't changed at all.

What brought you down to the interrogation room?

- Were you going to interrogate her? - Yes.

- Make sure you are thorough. - Yes.

Stupid... what the hell.

If you know anything about Doctor's Son, why don't you tell me everything, now?

Actually, I heard that name for the first time myself recently.

Is that right?

I thought that area was your expertise.

It's been such a long time since I left field work...

Earlier today, I got a call from the prosecutor's office.

They wanted us to send Lee Jin Sook over to them tomorrow.

It means they are going to do the investigation.

Are you going to send her to them?

Is there any special reason why we have to hold on to Lee Jin Sook?

- No, there isn't. - That's right.

We have no excuse to hold her.

But the important thing is...

I'm just curious as to why Commissioner Ji called about Lee Jin Sook himself.

- What do you think? - Well, I'm not sure.

Hey, Director Min.

This thing won't end with just some druggies.

I mean we need to be faster than the prosecutor's office, no matter what that is.

If we aren't careful, we may end up feeding

the neighbor's party with the cow we slaughtered.

Puss usually fills up in a sensitive area that you can't really touch.

You have to get it treated but you are too embarrassed to have a doctor look at it.

That's where your family comes in.

It's still embarrassing but it's better to show it to a family member than a stranger.

You and me... no matter what, at the end of the day...

we're family, aren't we?

Leave me alone. I said I'll go.

I look like Gyung Mi.

I'm relieved... because I look like her.

Come on in.

- Take it. - What is it?

She didn't tell me but... I'm sure she'd have asked me to do this.

It'll be enough to become independent.

I blamed you.

You... failed to protect her.

But... I'm sure you're suffering just as much as I am.

There's nothing you could have done and you can't predict anything that far out.

So... you have to promise to listen to my request.

Instead of Gyung Mi, I'll do it.

I'll finish what Gyung Mi couldn't finish.

- So help me. - What are you talking about?

Doctor's Son... the one who killed Gyung Mi...

I'm going to get him.

I'm not sure where you heard this but...

I heard everything from Chief Yang!

I'm a police officer now.

I was accepted into the police academy.

After I briefly summarize the incident on the 25th at the mannequin factory...

we'll talk about the direction of our investigation.

First...

Let go of me!

- You've got a problem, huh? - Hey, hey...

You could have stopped her but you didn't. Why?

Because catching Doctor's Son was more important than Detective Lee! Why?

Because the only thing you care about is a promotion.

If you can't handle it, let me know any time.

I'll send you to the traffic division.

- Detective! - Hey, Do Hoon!

Stay right there.

Don't breathe. I'm going to shoot.

With such lousy skills, you were going up against the druggies?

Huh?

What's wrong with my skills, you bastard!

Come on, that's enough of that! Stop it you idiot!

You bastard!

One more shot?

This character called Doctor's Son...

who was gutsy enough to war against Scale, appeared but...

this guy just disappeared before we even asked him out.

In the midst of everything, one of ours was...

Anyway, they're doing that because they're hurting.

You mean detective Lee Gyung Mi?

- Total silence, okay? - I said okay.

How many times do I have to tell you?

This is unfair.

Can you treat a good tax-paying citizen so roughly like this?

I know. This time you're out of luck and fell for the trap.

- I'm telling you that's it. - I wonder who?

How would I know that.

- Go and get on that pervert's case. - No.

The one behind you...

It's a trap set throwing away three kilograms of methamphetamine.

90 percent purity... About 9 billion won's worth...

I just need one name from above.

The organization chart? Not even hoping for that.

Are you saying you're going to let me go?

I promise.

[Dad]

I have my dad behind me.

Then we'll need to investigate your dad first.

Then your mom... is also in this, too?

This is for your eyes only.

Even on my way here... I still wasn't sure.

But...

it became certain after I saw your reaction.

The one who you're trying to hide...

The one who's hiding behind your back is...

Doctor's Son.

Don't expect any visits. Why?

Because I'm going to get him and kill him.

At your age... you made Team Leader in a special unit?

You won't be able to do it.

Because you can't learn about that world in a book.

You'll... never be able to catch him.

Team Leader.

Here it is.

MSG 90, made in Germany...

Our special squad also uses them for sniping purposes.

If they can bring in drugs, this won't be a problem for them.

There's a difference between bringing them and using them.

It was precise.

It was the work of a pro.

- Be on standby here. - Excuse me?

Why... did you let me live?

At your age... you made Team Leader in a special unit?

You won't be able to do it.

Because you can't learn about that world in a book.

You'll... never be able to catch him.

Doctor's Son... the one who killed Gyung Mi...

I'm going to get him.

I'm a police officer now.

I was admitted into the police academy.

How could all these bad things happen all at once?

At times like this, companionship usually helps.

Do you need some money?

Drink it.

Go ahead. Drink it.

Where are you going? I was just getting started.

Okay. I'll be there soon.

Drink it.

Take these off.

I thought I'd given you enough money.

Why? Was it not enough?

The finger prints on the weapon... the testimony of the victim...

and based on the witness account, you're guilty of special robbery.

Of course, your acceptance to the police academy will be revoked.

- Why did you do it? - The money is...

I just took enough for the hours I worked there.

Because I knew I wouldn't get it.

If you saw the CCTV, you should know...

what happened to me!

Why doesn't anyone believe me?

The CCTV was not being recorded.

That son of a bitch...

If what you're telling me is the truth...

then the owner must have stopped the recording on purpose.

But there is no way to prove that... unless the owner confesses.

Now, you listen to me carefully.

I have no intention of sending you to jail.

But I have no intention of getting you out of here either.

What are you talking about?

Because... you are going to become an undercover agent.

Didn't you say you wanted to catch Doctor's Son?

The only key to finding Doctor's Son is now at the detention center.

You are going to be sent to the detention center where Lee Jin Sook is.

- You need to become her confidant. - Wait a minute.

So you're saying... I should go to jail while I'm innocent?

That's right.

That's ridiculous.

- How could I... - From the beginning...

I was going to plant an undercover agent near Lee Jin Sook.

I've been looking for the right one.

I finally found her today.

You were raised in an orphanage. And you assaulted someone for money.

But I can promise one thing.

If you do this, there'll be a chance to become a cop.

If not, you can live as a criminal.

Choose now. As always, you are free to choose whatever you want.

You can't.

You can never do that to Soo Min.

This is the only way... I can help her.

You know that she's innocent.

You can just get her out of here.

Soo Min will choose.

- She could die. - I'm not going to let that happen again!

Have you been waiting for this?

You seem as though you were waiting for this kind of thing to happen to Soo Min.

I'm sorry.

Excuse me.

I'd like to make a phone call.

Okay. I got it.

You listen to me carefully now.

You're going to drop all the charges and we'll think nothing happened.

Do you understand?

I can't do that...

This was the drink you gave to your female employee.

In this can, we discovered a new type of drug called GHP.

It's also known as 'water meth'.

Do you want to take this to the end?

Detective! I was wrong!

Please, please spare me this once.

Your horrendous crime...

Don't you ever think this is over.

Because I'll be watching you for the rest of my life.

Yes, yes.

So Lee Jin Sook is connected to the Doctor's Son?

- Yes. - So...

You want to plant an undercover agent to get near Lee Jin Sook?

Not just anyone but a complete newbie?

If we succeed, we'll get Doctor's Son and

at the same time, we'll gain a good cop.

If we fail?

I'm thinking about going into mushroom farming.

Yoon Soo Min... what is she like?

So you want to keep her background sealed?

I'm sorry.

The Commissioner has signed the approval.

Thank you.

Don't be too thankful.

It means he'll only approve her as a cop only when she produces a clear result.

Don't you think Doctor's Son is enough?

- Probably so. - That's fine then.

Doctor's Son... we'll definitely catch him.

The Commissioner has signed the approval letter.

You are going to be sent to the detention center for special robbery.

You'll be put in Lee Jin Sook's room.

Once her sentence has been announced...

you'll be immediately sent to her penitentiary without a trial.

Your record will be completely cleared once you get out.

I'm going to ask you once again.

Will you be able to do this?

If you can get Doctor's Son...

you'll receive a diploma from the police academy

and be promoted to a detective.

That's only after you've caught Doctor's Son.

Until then... you have to live as a criminal.

You have two minutes to shower and change.

One minute and 59 seconds. 58 seconds.

1217, enter. Go ahead.

Currently, only Lee Ji Sook holds the key to finding Doctor's Son.

You really don't know where he is?

Ever since I saw him earlier today, I'm not sure where he went.

The damn wholesalers have been nagging me for the stuff.

I really can't figure out what Doc's been thinking.

He's not even thinking about taking revenge for you.

- Is your head all healed? - Ah, yes sir.

- Then put your head down. - Excuse me?

Please forgive me.

Do you think Doc is your friend?

If you utter any more nonsense...

I'm going to cut your mouth up so you can't talk.

What are you doing?

I said, what you are you doing now?

I don't know.

I don't know.

Yes.

Yes. Where are you?

Why did you send Gyung Mi there?

Why?

Why Gyung Mi?

You know very well that... I wasn't the one who sent her there.

Who was it?

Who killed Gyung Mi?

We're currently investigating and...

you are the prime suspect.

I can kill you here now and finish everything.

Okay, I know how you feel but...

keep this in mind.

The fact that you are police... the fact that you are an undercover agent...

No one knows that other than me.

If you kill me now...

you'll forever be the murderer who killed two police officers.

Forever.

You are... a police officer.

The cellphone was on at 22:35. But it's not on the record.

Were you really certain that it was Doctor's Son who did it?

Let's start after I get my Aunt out.

You want to get Lee Jin Sook out first in this chaos?

You swallowed the money in advance but...

Do you really want me to make you spit out everything?

Okay. I'll do it.

Anyway, you've become the target of the entire police force.

We don't have much time.

We need to get Safari and Pusan.

Long time no see.

Goddammit!

The one who killed Gyung Mi and tried to kill me...

may be a police officer.

If something happens to me, Soo...

do not come near me.

I beg you.
