to look over all the evidence again

and assess whether there are grounds
for new inquests.

Well, sir, incomplete evidence

would be the first thing
we'd want you to look at.

Not just from PC Bruder
and WPC Martin,

but from members
of the Ambulance Service,

reputable pathologists...

all of whom had their evidence
ignored,

or misunderstood, too.

Following on from this
is the coroner's decision

to deem evidence after 3:15pm
irrelevant and inadmissible.

We strenuously resist
the 3:15 cut-off, sir.

It means evidence Kevin might
have been alive after that

has not been properly considered.

Dr West says Kevin died

from damage to the airways

providing oxygen to the lungs -
it's treatable.

Treatable if the necessary
medical resources are available.

We contend that Kevin could have
been saved, summary.

So what Dr West is saying is
if a tracheotomy had been performed,

it's possible that it might have
saved his life.

Yes, and, sorry,
can I just point out

that Dr Slater,
who did the post-mortem,

he put down Kevin's injuries
as chest injuries?

That was on the Form 99.
Now, that was wrong.

We wrote to the coroner
and pointed this out and, well...

then, Dr Slater,
he then rectified his mistake.

But I understand Dr Slater
hasn't changed his opinion

of Kevin's cause of death?
Yes, sir, that's correct.

But if he was wrong about that,

then what else
could he be wrong about?

If we can just look at
what happened after 3:15,

then, you see, it throws up
a whole range of questions.

I mean, why wasn't there
somebody there

who could perform a tracheotomy?

I mean, why wasn't there
more ambulances?

And why is PC Bruder's evidence
not being given the credence...

well, it so clearly deserves?

The police heard
over 3,500 statements.

And the coroner had to select
which witness to call,

which witness to summarise...

So the mere fact that
a witness came to light now

whose evidence was not called,

or was not summarised,

does not seem to me to necessarily
give rise to the inference

that it was improper.
It seems to me that...

well, there's an argument

that one should at least
follow the paper trail.

All the evidence
should be investigated.

I don't wish to jump to conclusions,

Mrs Williams.

It may be at the end of the day

that I'm not able
to recommend fresh inquests.

But,

I might be able to ascertain
with a greater clarity...

what happened to Kevin in the last
three quarters of an hour.

Look, I KNOW what happened to Kevin.

I have tracked EVERYBODY down.

I have spoken to all those people.
You know, I have spent...

hours and hours
with forensic pathologists...

That might well be so.

you went in, onto the terrace?
