and he's a great friend,

and over the years,

I would often have lunch and dinner with the kids.

I love those kids. I've seen them grow up.

My mom has the early stages of dementia,

but she's always been forgetful.

And she said, "Okay. I'll call you in a bit."

- That makes me sad.

She'll ask me, like, you know,

five times in five minutes where Donnie is,

and I'll tell her, and I'll tell her,

and she just doesn't remember.

- We would be talking about something.

She goes, "That's right. I remember."

I go, "Mom, you don't remember." "No, I don't."

We got to laugh at it.

- You know what the bottom line for me is is with her,

you know, having dementia?

It has to be something.

The fact that she's not in pain,

who cares if she doesn't remember where she went?

- Yeah.

- It's not so much just her memory loss,

but it's all the stuff that goes along with the,

like, personality changes and depression.

- She cries a lot. She does cry a lot.

- I think 'cause she's sad that she doesn't see us more.

- Yeah.

- My mom and my stepdad

still live in their own home in Wisconsin,

but we're getting to the stages now

where we're looking towards the future.

I think that the isolation

that they have in Wisconsin sometimes is not good for her.

- You've talked to her in the phone?

Her voice sounds raspy and old.

The minute I'm there, it's like her voice changes.

- She gets a light. Yeah. - She's so... she eats.

She's so active. She wants to wrestle.
