to get my drag out there

and I feel like
usually regardless

of whether it's good or bad,

people don't really
give a shit,

so to have my drag sort
of validated by people

like the Boulet Brothers
is really something else.

It takes it to a different
place and it feels good,

so that's what the
win feels like for me.

- You look really good.

went comedy on the runway.

and I show up in drag
and I go support,

but I just don't ever get paid
or get offered paid bookings,

and I feel like my
drag merits that.

I feel like when I
show up I bring a show,

I turn a look and I
give a performance,

and I'm just ready to
be taken seriously.

- That they felt that my lip
was very more galactic villain

I would definitely change,

'cause then they did say that
I slayed the whole runway

but it was just a whole look

the weakest to me is Loris,

just 'cause I know
the other two better

and I don't know
what Loris can do.

- I mean, Pinche's won the
club version of Dragula twice

so the Boulet Brothers
know what she can do

and they know what
she's capable of.

who pretend to be your friends
and then stab you in the back

and it's nice to have friends

of that get in my way.

was really kinda scary.

dark waiting to be called.

coffin and closed the lid

and that's when they started
dropping the dirt on it,

and you could just
hear, it was so loud

inside the coffin.
- We had no idea

what was gonna come.

- I was freaked out and
we couldn't move our arms.

- You had to keep your arms

by your side.

- That was just part

of the challenge, so
you're in the coffin

and you just feel
like you wanna move

and get the crickets
off of your face

'cause they were
being dropped in

through the top,
like on your face.

I'm trying to explain
to these girls

what being in the coffin is like

and I don't think
that they get it.

Like, you don't know
how you're gonna feel

in that extermination
unless you've done one,

so let's pray that I
never have to do it again

and that they all have
to do one to go home.

tonight's challenge

is all about being
glamorous and being tough.

We've taken some inspiration

from the fabulous female
wrestlers of the 1980s.

They were big, they were
beautiful, they were brawny,

they definitely knew a
thing or two about drag

and they definitely knew
how to take a punch.

It was all about big
hair, big personalities,

but simple concepts, so
tonight's challenge is simple.

You're going to draw inspiration

from these female warriors
and transform yourself

into your very own version
of a female wrestler.

- Now we're gonna release
you guys to go back

and work on your concepts
for a while longer

and then meet us in the parlor

in a few hours for
the floor show.

- And tonight to help
us judge the floor show

we'll be joined by
celebrity drag photographer

Magnus Hastings.

Magnus is somewhat
of an authority

when it comes to a queen's
look and her image.

His photos are featured
all over the world

and his formidable body
of work includes images

of everything from
underground influencers

in cities like San
Francisco and New York

to some of the biggest and
most successful drag artists

from across the globe.

Basically if there's a
queen who walks the Earth

whose picture is
worth being taken,

Magnus has already shot
her, including yours truly.

that women can't do drag

they clearly haven't seen the
Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

- They were loud, strong, punk,

- These girls had these
really simple concepts

but really crazy characters
and just kinda broke

into this
hypermasculinized world

by being just really powerful,
strong, body-slamming women.

- The GLOW girls are these
campy character actresses

from the 80s.

- And I got this, 'cause they
were not to be glamorous.

- It was one of my
favorite things to watch

growing up as a little gay boy,

and one of the only things

people didn't
consider very weird.

- I will not be in the bottom

start with Foxie.

- I was confused at first,

I was like what the
hell is going on

and then the story kind
of unfolded for me,

or maybe better yet, spilled
out for me all over the stage.

I mean, this type of
risk is super punk,

it's disgusting, it
definitely makes you think.

I was like girl, is
she shit right now?

- Your look almost
put you on the bottom,

but your concept and
execution was so good

that it moved you up to the top.

- Yeah, Foxie, the
look is kind of basic

but what you did, I'm
very rarely shocked,

and I loved it 'cause
it made me laugh

and gasp and it was
kind of shocking.

- I will move on to Meatball.

For me, you understand
the ladies of the 80s.

It was big hair, the
colors were there.

You kinda get extra
credit for being,

it was a little insulting,
it was a little revolting,

like I was,
(laughing)

you know, for me that
pushes it to a nice place,

a place where I wanna see more

of what Meatball's
gonna do next.

- You really epitomized
the challenge today.

I mean, you coulda walked
out of that ring in the 80s

and I would've bought it,
hook, line and sinker.

You really nailed the challenge.

The performance too,
the cartwheel, amazing.

The body slam of the
hamburger, perfect,

like you understand
the challenge and you
nailed it, really.

- If I win this week I feel
like I would actually be proving

to the other girls that
I do deserve to be here

just as much as they do.

- And yeah, I loved
your tummy tearaway,

performance level was high

- For me, Vander, your
performance tonight

was the most
committed, like, 150%.

With every little
flick of the knee

the characterisation of
the matador was just there,

and you really had me
thinking about gender a lot.

It really had my gears turning
and that's what pulls me in

and keeps me interested
in what you're doing.

It's a good job tonight.

- Vander, I liked it,
I found it feminine.

I kind of felt it was the
movement made it really feminine

and I was transfixed
by your face

'cause I've not seen you before

and I was trying to work
out what the illusion was,

but it was incredible
but I was just trying

to kind of get my head around
it if that makes any sense.

- The judges didn't
quite get my character

but my intention
was kinda to bring

this hypermasculine
character that is the matador

and hyperfeminize that,
kind of like an inverse

of what the Gorgeous
Ladies of Wrestling

did with their characters.

- Loris, you
impressed us tonight

because you grew a
lot since last week.

Last week when you came
out you were very nervous

on the stage, and we
were nervous for you,

'cause we're like this
girl looks amazing

but, you know, does
she have the confidence

to sell this concepts
and last week you didn't,

and after we put you through
the extermination challenge

and you survived, I feel
like that forced you to grow

as a performer and you showed
it today on the runway.

- Yeah, for me the
devil's in the details

and you were in bed
with the devil all week,

it looks like to me.

There's goo coming out of
the arm pieces, the shoes,

your makeup is sickening, the
reveal from the medical mask,

then the blood pouring
out, the lines,

the character, the moves
at the end of the runway,

seriously, you were
impressive tonight.

Weirdly I loved you with
the mask on almost the most,

it was so beautiful.

Your eyes are so
beautiful and you came out

and I kind of gasped and went,

it was really really
beautifully done,

doing just the one death drop

and death dropping and it
was like thank you, perfect.

Once the reveal
happened I was looking

at details in your costuming.

I started noticing
some of the things

that were shifting in the
mask, this was coming up here.

You know, for me that
really distracted

from the spell you were casting

because when you
came out, I was in.

I was like oh, I love
those little pearls,

the reptilian thing,
the sharp teeth,

like, this is
someone in my army.

- For me when you were
moving and dancing

I could see parts of your
undergarment showing through,

so like in your crotch
I could see black

and some things
were peeking through

that maybe we
shouldn't be seeing.

- You were giving full bulge

at the end of the runway.

- You were, you were.
- Last week it was on purpose.

- And congratulations.

- So Xochi, for me it was
more about performance

'cause I like your outfit

and it just felt
really lackluster,

really like you
couldn't be bothered.

It was weird, I was watching
you and then I started

to nitpick about other things
because if you look bored

then I get bored when
you're performing,

so that was kind of
what it was for me.

- It all fell apart literally
seconds before the runway

so automatically I
just felt so defeated,

and guess what, it
read on stage too

and my performance was
lackluster, I was falling apart.

Definitely not my best.

on to Ursula Major.

Your face, you know how to
paint, you have an idea,

the tattoos, the tongue split.

I mean, you have all of
the raw material it takes

to be the supermonster that

The concept is so cute but
the fabric choice is so odd.

It doesn't scream disco to me.

- For me, Ursula, you are
a supermonster already,

but I don't feel
like you're bringing

everything you have
to the competition.

We know you and we
know what you can do,

and you know what you can do

but I don't think you're
giving it your all yet.

You don't seem fully committed.

- Yeah, for me I love
the faggot tattoo

'cause I've not seen it
before so it was fabulous,

and I was really kind of split
because I'd look at your face

and it's painted so beautifully
and I love what you do,

and then I was just
going in my head

going what is it
about the outfit?

What I said to them was the idea

of having glitter ball fabric
so it really felt disco-y,

'cause if you're gonna
reference Saturday Night Beaver

then it's gotta feel
really disco, hasn't it?

I think that there
were some things

that kinda pulled me
into your character.

It was like this balance
of super masculine

and cutesy cutesy feminine,

like you were gonna
fuck me to death,

think the character

was as realized as
the girls around you.

again, apart from the tits,

the actual costume
was kinda basic.

But then the tits, 'cause
I've not seen them before,

then they're kind of fun, and--

If you're gonna do a

Just own all of your
movements at 110%

and I think it'll
serve you better.

We feel like what we're missing

from the competition
is your delivery.

We have seen what
you can do on stage

and you pretty much blow
away most performers,

but you're not bringing that
to the stage for some reason

and we keep wondering
where is it?

So when you came out
dressed as a cat tonight

we're waiting for those
backflips and death drops

that we know that you can
deliver, but they weren't there.

is she holding back?

- The idea of almost going
into the looking glass

and finding the other side,

like the alley cat
rather than the kitten.

As I said, it was like
going back to my teens

and I was trying to like pussy
but just wasn't quite right.

Just a few years ago I
was actually diagnosed

as HIV-positive and this has
always lit a fire under my ass

to be an advocate
and be the strength

that other people don't
have to move forward,

or to live and thrive with it,

and there's just so much
going through my head

as to wanting to be that
beacon of strength for them,

for myself, I need to
prove I am a monster

and I deserve to stay here,
and I'm ready to fight.

- So when I first recently
came out to the gay scene

I used to party at this thing,

at these parties
called tea parties

and it's, you know, parties
where all the gay people go

and have fun and I
was 16 years old.

Coming out to those kind
of parties was rough.

I was known to be the new
kid on the block, you know,

and then people wanted to
talk to me, get to know me,

and then there were some where
they did not like me at all

that one time during a party,

almost towards the
end of the night

I had a few of them confront
me and just kinda punked me.

I got jumped and it was tough.

I couldn't defend myself.

I was 16, I was young, I
didn't know any better,

I didn't know what to do, and...

That affected me along
the run, growing up,

and now that I'm here
in this pool full of mud

that I have to wrestle Xochi,

it's kinda bringing
back a lot of memories,

a lot of feelings
where I need to fight.

(bell ringing)
