Brian's role was changed.

But he had always been the fifth Beatles member.

He took them from Cavern out into the world.

In the beginning of 1967 ... They made music which was played at Roundhouse.

It was just Mark Lewisohn who heard it.

They sat and drummed on plates and tables

and other things in the studio for seven minutes.

The idea was that what they did, the freer the better

-was brilliant, but so it wasn't always.

What direction should the Beatles take now? They had been a perfect pop group.

They had written great songs and topped the charts. What do you do then?

People were expecting that the Beatles would be at the forefront.
