Northern Franconia, 15th century

This is the tale of Count Montrak.

Once, he was a warrior of God.

But soon Montrak's heart should fill with hatred.

Turning his back on church,

he made a pact with the devil.

With an enchanted ring from Lucifer

he became immortal.

But this came with a price:

Montrak was eternally cursed

and became a slave of darkness.

And so he isolated himself

in the depth of his castle,

But the count shouldn't stay in his crypt by himself for long.

Around 1430 the Hussites invaded Franconia.

They destroyed and despoiled houses, farmyards and castles.

So it happened that the invaders discovered Montrak's hideout,

but also their end.

The warriors entered the dark crypt

with Wladislaw as their commander,

whose destiny should change soon.

Driven by inconceivable blood thirst,

Montrak created his first entourage

in the following nights.

But quickly it became known who Montrak really was.

The people wanted to see him dead.

Montrak only saw one way to bury the myth of vampires:
