In order to reduce the fine dust level in Korea,

and in order to instigate cooperation

with our neighboring countries

for the fine dust reduction,

we must reduce the cause of the domestic emissions.

In Korea, there are two major factors that need to be reduced.

First, in the metropolitan area,

the emissions from old diesel vehicles

are the main cause that increase the fine dust concentration.

We must produce less diesel vehicles and develop environment-friendly vehicles

like electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles,

and hybrid vehicles.

On a national scale, the illegal emissions from manufactories are the biggest cause.

We need continuous supervision over them

to have the corporations fulfill their environmental responsibility

and protect people's right to health.
