It's an early morning here in Tennessee today,

but I wanted to bring you all along with me on my bread route.

My name's JW Griffin.

I'm 25 years old, and I deliver bread.

I go around and deliver to different grocery stores.

Stacy: The bread company.

The first time they let him go out by himself,

he backs out into the trailer hitch of a big truck

and knocks out the back window.

And then he said they started calling him "Crash."

I thought I was toast.

I don't know where y'all are going with that one.

The van survived.

I still drive that van to this day.

At the end of the day,

delivering the dough is a good way to make some dough.

I like all of them. I think they're all good.

I don't think you can go wrong.

I hope they all three turn around, get a three-chair turn.

This song really resonates with me

because it's a spirit I want to bring into my own songwriting.

I just love older country

'cause it had such a distinct sound.

There's no country coaches this season,

but they're all pretty iconic

and they've all won the show before.

I'd love for all three of them to turn around.

I have a ton to learn, and I don't want to go home

before I get the chance to do that.

My passion isn't delivering bread, it's making music.

it was so full and open and beautiful.

and it starts super wordy

and only gets more challenging as it goes.

That's a really tough vocal, honestly.

So I think that just kind of rationing a little bit

and holding on to enough breath

so you can really kind of belt it when it's --

I think all those things worked against you a little bit,

but that doesn't mean that if you don't keep at it,

you can't come back here and have some success.

I am a dental hygienist by day

and a country singer-songwriter by night.

I do love being a dental hygienist,

but I intended to move to Nashville

In 2019, after I graduated dental-hygiene school,

and I got a call, breaking the news saying

that my dad suffered from a massive brain aneurysm.

Here's the thing about your voice that I love so much.

It's that deep, rich voice I wish I had.

But as strong and robust

as your tone is, in the upper register,

I think there's even room for you to grow more.

I live in the high register,

and especially in the transition into those falsettos

that were really, really sweet, and, in a weird way,

maybe I'm crazy,

how cool your raspy part of your voice is.

I felt like it was unexpected,

and if I were going to venture in,

that would have been the reason why.

And combining that with the yodeling,

you're just super interesting as a vocalist.

This is going to be the hardest season to pitch.

Every time y'all talk, I'm like,

These are very seasoned coaches,

and each one has a unique playbook

when it comes to winning an artist.

Don't pay attention to the others.

Kelly seems to really swoop in early, on average 14 seconds

before any other coach.

I'm so excited that I turned first.

I noticed that John has the highest name-drop count,

and he uses that to his advantage.

I could call Reba McEntire.

I can call Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini.

I did a little a cappella in college, as well.

I-I did know that, actually. O-O-ka-a-a-y.

We were, like, an award-winning a cappella group at UPenn.

What school do you go to? I go to Cornell. Um...

The a cappella thing's, like, a double-edged sword,

'cause whenever movie people want to make fun

of people in college,

they usually put them in an a cappella group.

I grew up in choir, too, and I think we're doing all right.

You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yes, absolutely.

Uh, but what it does teach you is how to blend,

and, as a director,

it taught me how to actually arrange parts.

I think it's a great part of your college experience,

and I feel like we have a lot in common, sir.

...it would be a lot of fun for us to work together,

and I think we should -- Well, he knew --

he knew you did a cappella in college.

I think you should definitely... Yeah.

I did grow up singing in choirs, as well,

and they want you to be so perfect, right?

And the thing that Bruno has

from being in a group and being a solo artist.

So make sure you're just being a little bit more wild

and passionate about it.

I even photoshopped myself with my coach that I want.

I'm incredibly grateful to be able to have this opportunity.

I've been performing for the past seven years.

I have a residency in Las Vegas.

I sing with a band called the Diamonds.

I sing a lot of Chaka Khan, a lot of Whitney Houston.

We do Michael Jackson, Prince, lots of funk and hip-hop.

For my blind audition, I will be singing

It's my number-one pick,

and, actually, I envisioned myself singing it

while I was writing out my vision board, too.

And it's one of my favorites to perform.

My name is Hunter Jordan.

I am 22 years old,

and I am from Maysville, Kentucky.

I grew up in a very, very small town.

I would say population of around 10,000, 20,000.

Growing up with my brother and sister

in a small double-wide trailer in the trailer park

was a pretty rough way to live.

When my mom and dad separated, things --

things were really, really tough, uh,

because, as soon as they split,

my mom was working two jobs at once.

It taught me to hang on and, you know,

just always keep looking forward no matter what.

When I graduated high school, I had a job,

but I kept thinking to myself,

"I feel like I'm meant for something more."

I definitely feel like there's something bigger to life

than what's going on here.

I play three to four nights a week currently.

Through the separation, Hunter was basically

a beacon for both of us.

He was our purpose.

I'm very proud of where you're at right now.

I love you so much.

My parents showing up for me to support me in this

is really important to me.

The common point that they always had with each other

was they always wanted the best for me.

I love them dearly for it.

Being from a very small country town in Kentucky,
