And we're actually going to meet A friend of mine named paul,

Who I worked with Back on florida ghost team,

A taps family-member team.

To be in this investigation With you guys.

All right, Brandy has quite a case for us,

Quite a challenge.

She's gonna give The details on it.

hey, guys, we are going To be investigating

the real felipe fortress Here in lima.

The fortress itself Was constructed in 1747.

The name was actually given In honor

Of the spanish king philip v, Who reigned in spain--

Mostly on the plain.

What?

We'll make A lady out of you yet.

[ laughs ]

Go on, brandy.

So there's a ton Of paranormal claims

Coming out Of the queen's tower,

Where there was a suicide By a soldier.

And there's also An apparition

Of a little boy That has been seen, as well.

The fortress today Is partially used as a museum.

But it's still An active military fort.

So there are still soldiers

That work here And maintain the fort itself.

Barry, I'm gonna tell you Right off the bat,

The reports we're getting Is this place is huge.

And I know we're used to Some big places,

But I think that this one Is gonna be a little tough.

Well, we've got everything Ready to go, robb.

As ghi tech manager,

I work maintaining the equipment That we already have

and also develop new pieces Of equipment

that will help us understand The field even more.

As you see, guys, During the late 1500s,

The spaniards decide to start New colonies in south america.

the main big colony they got Was peru,

and they got really excited Because the amount of gold

and silver that was extracted From the mines using the indians

was a cheap and good deal For them.

The big problem they have Is that after a few years,

Many pirates were surrounding The coast of peru.

In 1747, the vice-king Decided to build up a fortress

In order to protect The king's gold.

But it took 24 years To finish the fortress.

Follow me on this way.

I want to show you something you Might find really interesting.

Okay.

Let me show you inside The king's tower.

gentlemen, this is one Of the most scary things

when I think twice about What people went through here.

They put so many people inside The jail, they couldn't move.

They actually went Body to body,

And they only could spin Over edge.

This is so tight,

It was the most rigorous Punishment they could get.

But imagine of this-- You can't even move,

And there was more Than 70 bodies,

And they couldn't Sit down.

When they wanted To eat something,

They used This particular window,

And they set up the food here, But they just put one dish,

And people was getting into A huge fight

With trying to reach That.

One dish for all 70? Yes.

Is there any paranormal activity That goes on in this area?

Yes, many of the people Who work here

And some of the visitors have Experienced different things--

Noise, screams,

Sometimes the sound of a spoon Hitting each other,

Like a dish or something, Like they were complaining.

this is a ramp they used, As many other ramps,

to bring up the weaponry.

and this is The weapons room.

to make sure everyone On the tour had exited,

when suddenly I heard a noise behind me.

Then I saw a dark shape Moving from left to right

In front of me.

I was very frightened And quickly left the tower.

Let's move To the queen's tower.

I will show you something Really interesting over there. Okay.

We're gonna do the second level Of the queen's tower.

and there is a story That happened also here.

one of the tour guides Was supposed to meet

another friend, Another tour guide here.

When this tour guide Was down there,

She heard her friend Calling her.

So she said, "Where are you?" And no answer.

But her name Was called again.

She came out this way, And when she got here,

There was nobody else here.

Do we know If it was a male voice

Or a female voice Calling her?

She said she recognized Her friend's voice calling her.

So it was a female.

Sounds like A mimic. Yeah.

Mimicking is a unique situation In the paranormal

In which a spirit is said to Imitate the sound of the voice

Of one of the investigators

Or even to repeat a word Or phrase that they had said.

Come this way, please.

There is a reason Why they have set up this flag

in this particular place.

during the independence battle,

about 2,500 soldiers Along the whole fortress

shooting that way And getting shot back.

During the battle,

This particular soldier Was so desperate

Because the nightmare Going on here.

And he saw spaniards trying To come this way,

So he ran in this direction And fell down, and the kid died.

Some of the soldiers Have said

That they have seen A kid screaming,

Running toward direction--

Different soldiers During the last three years.

[ speaking spanish ]

interpreter: When I was on top,

I couldn't believe What was happening.

Every time I closed my eyes, I felt a feeling of terror.

I felt very dizzy,

And my son and daughter Asked me what was going on.

And suddenly I started to run Toward the edge

With a very strong feeling To jump off

And finish the whole massacre.

My son and daughter Grabbed ahold of me,

And that's the only reason I didn't jump off.

Rivas: This is the governor's house.

there were two Of our visitors

who were walking towards That direction

And admiring the pieces On the wall.

Suddenly, They turn around,

And they saw this little kid Looking at them

From a showcase All the way to the back.

After that,

They have seen the kid Running towards this area,

And on the way, He fades out, he fades away.

When they saw this child At the end,

Did they give a description

You know those sort of Sailor suits from the 1800s?

Blue navy with this kind Of circular white collar.

And the kid was just looking At them.

So this is basically The end of the tour.

Could potentially be Quite dangerous.

You couple that with the fact That the areas

In many of these towers Is like a complete maze,

The team's really got to Stick together

And make sure That they're being safe.

as far as the scientific side,

Is a camera pointing directly Into the cell

Toward where The prison officers

Would have fed the food To the people.

We have a trigger object Of apples and bread,

Which will be set Into that little open way

Where The prisoners were fed.

Everything's ready to go For us, really.

So, good news is There's only about one light

In this entire place.

So once we get that off,

there has been the spirit of A child who runs toward people.

But this place Is actually doing it to me.

My grandmother's house In south minneapolis Was incredibly active.

Everyone that had ever visited That home had an experience.

So it was that That prompted my desire

To learn what it was That I was experiencing.

Barry: after we settled The thermal

And full-spectrum cameras,

Brandy and I started to Investigate with some evp work.

Robb: evp stands for Electronic voice phenomenon.

We go into a location And ask questions

While recording everything On our digital voice recorders.

We then go back And listen to the results

To see if there's A voice picked up

That we did not hear While we were there.

robb going into The dungeon.

obviously, I'll give you a shout

if things go pear-shaped In here,

seeing as it's gonna be The world's slowest run

if I have to try and get out Of here, 'cause I barely fit.

Paul and I decided to go in Individually

To the dungeon area 'cause really tight and compact.

Okay.

If there is anyone here, I'd like you to come forward.

You're not trapped In here anymore.

But apparently I am.

This is very Claustrophobic.

I can't see anything.

I asked for whatever was there

To make some sign Of its presence known.

Definitely this place does not Make me feel at home.

Sounded like we had some Footsteps near the entrance.

I don't know If that's paul walking around.

But there should not be anything Down this way,

And I just heard a sound Down this corridor.

I heard footsteps coming down The hallway towards me.

Okay. We have got a dead end here.

And I know for a fact That I heard noise down here.

I went up that alleyway. There was nothing there.

Where are you?

[ thud ]

Well, I asked "Where are you?" And I just got a loud bang.

There was knocking, banging.

Wherever you are... Can you come right to me?

But certainly not enough To determine

If in fact It was anything paranormal.

I'm gonna go now.

Don't be scared of us.

dustin: Now we're talking.

so they would take All the prisoners,

And as you can see, It's not the roomiest of places.

It's very tiny.

Yeah. And they would stack These guys in here

So they were, like, you know, Two to a space, basically.

Oh, my gosh.

And they couldn't Sit down.

They had this little space In the center.

That's where they would leave Food for them.

So you can imagine, If you're down one of the ends,

You're not getting Any food.

That's horrible.

what's that in there?

It was, like, A loud bang.

It was down the hall?

Yeah. Shh, shh, shh.

Dustin: ...A loud bang Of some kind.

I heard that. Yeah.

You have The evp running?

Since there's noises out here And there's stories of voices

And screams and stuff From in there,

While angela Got into position inside.

An emf detector measures The electromagnetic fields

That are present in the room.

What we're looking for

Is any raises or spikes Within this field

That may coincide With paranormal activity.

Where I had a lot Of personal experiences

That, you know, hopefully Will prove to be paranormal

But when I was experiencing The dark figures surrounding me,

I-- I just wanted To get out.

And it was just Incredibly uncomfortable for me

Just to be in there.

I've only noticed it To my left-hand side.

To actually form into actual-- What looked like bodies.

I've only noticed it To my left-hand side.

Barry suddenly said That he had seen something

In the room that he was in,

So I rushed out to see if I could see what he was seeing.

That's the first time, I think,

I have ever seen A full-bodied apparition.

I swear to god, I thought I saw something,

And I wasn't sure At first.

That's insane. I'm, like, shaking.

hold on to that a second.

I want to show you What I just saw.

as the stuff Was pointing that way...

Brandy: yeah.

Yeah.

Someone just stepped out Like that.

Yeah. Yeah! Exactly.

He kept looking straight ahead, Never looked at me.

My reaction-- The hair stood up on my arms.

My rational mind was coming in

And saying, "No, this isn't possible."

I was fully aware That no one else was there,

And yet I was looking At this guy.

I know that the rig that we were Using was pointed toward brandy.

I'm hoping-- I'm really, really hoping

That the thermal has caught At least some form

Stepping out from that statue.

Dustin: all right. Angela: okay.

This is the top, The queen's tower,

Where that guy had the little Time-slip incident.

Oh, wow.

so, now, when The actual battle was going on,

it was a younger guy Who was working here,

and he ends up running And just jumping off the edge.

oh, my gosh.

and then so people That have been up here

have experienced urges to run And just jump off the edge.

oh, my goodness.

I think we should put the-- Set the emf up.

dustin: Don't jump off the edge.

Brandy: so this is where He jumped.

After I saw this flash of light, I wanted to track that down.

Paul was right behind me. We ran out to the hallway.

There was nothing.

Whatever it was Was completely gone.

It came From right behind you.

I didn't flip out. I was startled.

dustin: Is anyone down here?

angela and I were investigating The queen's tower.

it's kind of like A labyrinth in here.

There's a lot of winding Staircases and tight passages.

Did you hear something?

Whatever seems to be In this queen's tower

Has some sort Of intelligence to it.

We captured whispers, Clanking noises.

And then it would Just completely dissipate.

You could feel the air In the room completely change,

And it would just go silent.

Yeah, but it's only when You ask certain questions.

Yeah.

But it's so close.

Yeah, I'm just gonna look Outside just to double-check.

I'm getting nothing here, Just that bag.

That's just like a bag, though. It's not a dragging sound.

It's not a metal sound.

And it was very close.

So it's kind of, you know, a lot Of chasing this thing around

The staircases and passageways.

With the full-spectrum.

we're able to see a wider band Of the spectrum-- infrared,

visible-light spectrum, And the ultraviolets.

the only think That I can imagine is "Reina."

that means "Queen."

All right. I mean, I can hear it perfectly.

I mean, There's no mistaking it.

You guys looked around,

Made sure that there was Nothing causing it.

Everything kind of Carries there.

So we went up the stairwells, We went down the paths,

And we weren't able To pinpoint anything

That was making that sound.

What we have next Is the cameras.

The images that we have here, The standard camera,

Everything's absolutely Perfectly fine.

However, whenever we switch To full-spectrum,

Which was taken At the same time,

You will see this image here That moves toward the gate.

Wow, barry. I mean, incredible eye.

I can't believe You caught that.

And previous to that, There's nobody in that area,

Right, on either camera?

No. On the standard camera, There's nothing there.

Everything's fine.

You took these Simultaneously,

So the standard camera Would have shown

Anyone walking up Into that area.

Yep. Yep.

And for some reason,

The shadow appears and moves Across toward the gate.

I mean, That's a great catch.

Well, we have a little bit Better than that.

What we have next is A very impressive piece of video

We want to show you, Which was captured in The governor's house.

Saw or heard but wasn't able To quite document.

This was a big one.

Saw a full-bodied Apparition,

Saw a full top-to-bottom ghost Walking in this very room.

Angela and I were over In the queen's tower,

And there was a whispered Conversation between two women

That was no more than 6 to 10 feet in front of us.

We could hear it Clear as day.

We had our recorders Pointed toward it.

We had the camera mikes Pointed toward it.

And then we go back to listen to It, and there's nothing there.

It's just us two talking.

But everybody that was there Witnessed what was going on.

But we didn't want to Let you down,

So we didn't come here Empty-handed.

Angela and I were in there, And we were doing an evp session

Where we ask questions to try To get imprinted recordings.

Now, here's one Of the things we do.

We take an electromagnetic-field Reading device

That can measure changes In emf--

Electromagnetic field.

What we do is we'll ask A question, get a response,

Ask the same question A few minutes later

To see if we keep getting The same responses.

I want you to hear an example Of how it worked here.

So what you're gonna hear Is angela asking questions,

And then you'll hear The response of the meter.

that you died here, That you died like this,

that your life ended So tragically like this?

Are you angry that this is The place that you died,

This was your last place?

And then what you heard In this section here, The clicking sound,

That was the emf meter In response to our questions.

And consistently We would get these responses.

It's kind of the only way

We can almost have A two-way conversation

With the spirits that may Or may not be present in places.

So when we get Something like this,

It helps to kind of build The case.

But obviously we always want More evidence.

We don't want to just settle For a couple things.

Across over To the queen's tower.

And when the digital Voice recorder was reviewed,
