You don't see me.

You don't see your daughter,

the one you raised to stand up for what I believe in.

You know what? Maybe you did raise a fool.

I honestly thought we could have a conversation

instead of arguing.

another name, another tragedy,

in Ferguson, St. Paul, Memphis.

It never changes, and I'm tired.

And I'm trying to change that, Dad, in my own way.

We both want the same thing,

the right to feel safe in our communities,

the right to feel safe in our bodies.

And I'm trying to do my part, and honestly, I have no idea

what it's going to take to change things out there.

But I was hoping--

I was hoping we could start by trying to change

things in here between us.
