This exceptionally well-preserved medieval town

is known as the jewel of the Adriatic.

To kick-start their adventure,

teams must find this statue

of famed Croatian poet Ivan Gundulic

here in the heart of the old city.

Right now we are the last team

that got the taxi, so we are

behind the pack right now.

We're gonna hold on to this with our lives.

If both teams have Express Passes,

So we are very wary of how they're playing alliances.

We know that Jas and Jag

are going to be our biggest threat.

It seems like

Kyland and Taylor have that potential.

We don't know, but that's definitely gonna be something

we're looking out for in this leg.

So, I don't know why I'm so nervous about a reset leg.

We've been extremely successful at Detours,

um, and so

we're just hoping for more of that.

We're obviously hoping for a first place finish.

Simone and I do feel more comfortable on foot.

In addition to just being precise with our directions

on foot, we also have to kill these challenges.

KRISTINE: I thrive under pressure,

but I don't want to feel, like, panicked.

in any of these situations and just

lean into, like, confidence

in what I know how to do.

And so that does get in your head a little like, "Am I not

good enough, am I not pretty?"

When I look at this race, like, our big "why" was, like,

representation of a different kind of woman,

Fisherman Haul or Skin 'Em All.

Humans have been using fishing nets

in some form or another for more than 10,000 years.

And even today, they're still unwieldy

and hard to move around.

Which is exactly why we're having teams deliver one

clear across town,

picking up a bucket of chum along the way.

If they get on the right path, it's about a half a mile away.

However, with a cumbersome net like this,

they could get caught up along the way.

Once they've made it to the old port,

they can cast aside their fishing net for a clue.

The Adriatic Sea is famous for its rich diversity of fish,

including the monkfish,

which is commonly known here as grdobina,

translating to "the ugly one."

But don't let the looks deceive you, because this fish

is a real delicacy here.

This Detour requires teams to prepare

two of these popular fish for cooking.

Cutting too deep or ripping too fast

will ruin their chances of completing this Detour.

But if they use surgical precision,

they'll be rewarded with a clue.

That's definitely where we feel like

that's one of our strong suits.

in my life, however, I have taken anatomy.

I'm in medical school right now.

I'm a third-year medical student.

Immediately, I was like, "Okay, this feels like anatomy class."

And I'm not trying to sound like Jeffrey Dahmer.

It's not like I enjoy cutting open human bodies,

but you have to be very exact with where you're cutting.

So, yeah, I felt at home, if you will.

If I can cut open a cadaver, I can do this.

of the old city during the summer,

you'll find this secret watering hole

known as the Buza Bar.

Located on the side of a cliff,

it offers spectacular views of Croatia's coastline.

It's here that teams will be surprised to find

a Double U-Turn-- a chance to slow down two teams,

forcing them to perform both sides of the Detour.

KEOGHAN: This Roadblock gives teams a chance

to race onkaric,

a Croatian kart,

one of eight events in this city's annual street games.

Taking part is a no-brainer.

All you have to do is assemble this simple racing machine,

and then head downhill.

If teams can complete the course

in 36 seconds or less,

they'll win a clue.

racing kart out of wood

so I just

wanted to do it.

I was confident in my ability to build it.

And it looks very simple

at first.

I saw Kyland and Taylor run up, um,

and they were talking about how they think that

the all-guy teams have, uh, some "gentlemen's agreement."

And so it seems like Kyland and Taylor

are kind of gunning for me and Tucker,

Jas and Jag and Joseph and Adam.

and stand up to eight stories high.

This is Fort Bokar, the westernmost tower,

built to protect the city's main entrance.

Today, it is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

it was a mental battle for over 90 days.

And when I thought about my siblings,

just seeing me fail, fail, fail,

but not give up,

that was the thing that motivated me.

we no longer have to play the polite game.

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life.

Especially after getting double U-Turned.

The fact that both teams who were U-Turned are still in this.

I really truly believe we can do anything after this.

Inadvertently, the Double U-Turn has given us more confidence.

-KRISTINE: Yes, definitely. -RUBINA: I don't think

that's what Joseph and Adam wanted.

Whatever happens next in this race,

-the fact that we survived this leg -Double U-Turn.

And seeing Hannah cheer me on

on the side really gave me that motivation

because I can't give up after all of this hard work

that she's put into this.

And she's still able to smile throughout this,

and that's what makes her such an incredible sister.

I'm so proud of you!

We did exactly what we set out to do during this race.

We made memories that, you know,

my sister and I will now have shared together.

Hannah and Simone, you are the last team to arrive.

HANNAH: Most siblings

who are as close as we are in age

spend a majority of their childhoods together,

and we just didn't have that.

And so, just having this uninterrupted time together

has been so special.

It's always been about us and our relationship growing,

and I've been able to learn so much about Simone,

as well as from Simone.

We truly have made up for lost time,

and I have the best sister that anybody

-could ask for. -Yeah.

HANNAH: I'm so glad we were able to do this adventure together.
