It's like a hand that goes around your neck and pushes.

It's starting to evolve into a type of poltergeist haunting.

It was like a scene from a horror movie.

The emotion is one of utter, utter hate.

I knew it wanted to kill me. I knew that.

His intentions are very violent.

Ooh, the dark is getting darker.

My name is Amy Allen.

I see dead people.

There is a skinwalker here.

I seek the dead people.

And they seek to me.

He wants to collect the women.

But there's only one way to know if my findings are real.

They're sucking the life out of these people.

I rely on my partner.

I'm Steve DeShop. I'm a retired New York City homicide detective.

This is the kind of case that would have haunted me.

And I know every person, every house has secrets.

It's my job to reveal them. But Steve and I never speak. We never communicate

during an investigation.

Until the very end.

Is that what I think it is?

Yes. When we uncover if it's safe for you to stay. I told you he was trying to

We're time to get out. You have a dead person inside you.

I'm here in Discovery Bay, California. It's about 60 miles east of San

Francisco.

I got a call from a couple, Heather and Jonathan.

Now, a few years back, they moved into a new house and things went south

immediately. It sounds like a really horrible situation.

I'm hoping we can help.

The people here are suffering from depression.

One of the living people here is way more invested in stopping

this activity.

But there's another living person here who has abilities. This woman is really

not wanting it to stop.

She likes the drama and she likes the attention.

She pretty much wants the energy, this negativity that's coming in.

All right, so Heather, the neighborhood is beautiful. This is a gorgeous house,

but I guess looks can be deceiving, right? I mean, what's it like living in

house? It's horrible. It's a nightmare.

You can't relax.

All right, Heather, let's start with basics. Who lives in the house?

All right, what do we got here? Okay, we have my son, Bailey. He just turned 21.

And then, of course, myself.

And then our daughter, Michaela. She's 14.

And then my husband, Jonathan.

It's a beautiful family. Thank you.

Do me a favor and give me a list of what's going on in the house.

Things move in the house.

There's shadows, nightmares, and then the physical attacks.

Now, I remember when we spoke on the phone, you said something about the

killed your dad.

Yeah. What's going on with that?

My father used to own this house.

The minute he purchased this home, he got sick, very sick.

What was his illness, if you don't mind me asking?

Lung cancer, but they still aren't 100 % sure. Okay, and how old was he when he

passed? 67.

It's far from me.

Okay.

So now, when your father was alive, did he have experiences here?

Yes, he did.

He moved in here.

And within a couple months, he said, there's something here.

So on the phone, you also told me you thought your son Bailey's in danger.

Why do you believe that?

We moved in here, and he got sick.

They say, oh, we think.

We're not 100%, but we think it might be MS.

And he's getting hard treatment. He's getting chemo.

That's got to be really hard on you as a mom.

Seeing him take chemo is probably the worst thing I've ever seen.

How's he doing emotionally?

He did have a bout with depression.

We've never argued before, ever.

Okay. And we've had three very heated arguments here that broke my heart.

Okay, so it's totally not his personality. No, not at all.

This has got to be pretty stressful for you guys. How's the family holding up?

Jonathan and I, my husband, we fought.

God -awful anger.

What's your thoughts on what's going on here? What do you think it is?

Death, it's even told me that.

Okay. I feel like trauma from living people, like just fighting.

There are bad living dynamics here.

Feeling the chills, like, for no reason.

That's not good.

There's a vortex right here.

This is happening.

There's a lot of movement here.

Okay, it's being created by a living person.

I think it's the woman with ability.

It's growing. It's getting bigger.

It's just opening a doorway to anything and everything.

All right, so there's basically a path.

This path was already here, but pretty small.

So this woman, I think, is bringing more of this in.

and has been bringing it in, building it up, inviting, being inviting, you know.

Guys.

So what's going on in here?

I hear crashing sounds.

Like what? I mean, what's it sound like to you? It's loud. It's like dishes,

glass, maybe coffee mug.

Do you have any evidence at all that something broke?

I'll even open the cabinets to look inside.

Nothing? Nothing.

Okay, so you're hearing the crashing noises. Anything else?

The front door has a digital lock. Okay. And you will hear it as this ding sound

opens and closes.

And we hear it all the time, but when we go and check, there's nobody there.

All right, now, I have the same type of locks at home. Sometimes when the

battery's starting to go, it makes that noise.

We thought of that. We've changed the batteries. It still does it. Okay.

I think another person lives here who has PK abilities.

So they're possibly too sensitive in the house.

So they're like, oh, okay, I'm going to take this out right now, right?

And then they're like this, right?

And then they're, like, doing it over here. And then they turn around, and

open. So they're like, well, I thought I closed that, but it's open.

And so they're starting to be, like, weirded out by this. And, in fact, it is

some kind of PK.

And now it's starting to evolve into a type of poltergeist haunting.

Okay, so what's going on in here?

I get this sense of being watched.

Describe it. Is it like you're peeping Tom, somebody's about to rob you?

It's to the point where I don't even want to get out of bed to go get water

go use the restroom. I feel like it's in the corner just ominously just staring.

All right, so the feeling of being watched. What else?

There's a very tall, dark, thick, black shadow.

First showed itself to me two days before my father passed away.

Give me a description of this thing.

It has like an Amish -style hat.

Can you make out any facial features? No. I think he's sneaky.

I think he's conniving. I think he's figuring out what he's going to do next.

That's the feeling I get.

Okay. It's a game to him.

Okay, so anything else?

I wake up with bruises, scratches, burns. I have some photos here that you

see.

You just wake up like this? Yeah, just wake up regularly, and there they are.

These are pretty bad. And what do you think this is?

It's that thing. It's that tall black thing. I want that son of a bitch gone.

I want it gone.

So this right now is an active doorway.

I see a skeleton coming out of this vortex.

He's big.

He's really tall.

The living are seeing a big guy in and around here.

I'm getting more chills.

The tall skeleton -looking dude.

Yeah, that guy's in here a lot.

Just a lot of, like, really bad energy.

It's feeling it's like hungry, like it's violently hungry.

It wants this person.

This thing is like a collector.

It wants the person dead so it can get the bones.

So, Jonathan, I was talking to your wife earlier, and she was telling me about

what's going on. I mean, things sound pretty bad here. Are you worried about

her? Definitely worried about her. It's getting a lot worse.

What about yourself? Any experiences?

I get extremely angry when I get home. I hear that a lot from, you know, clients

and witnesses about the anger issue.

Why is it paranormal in your case and not just you're an angry guy?

It's not happening when I'm away from here. It's as soon as I get to this

something just kind of ignites me. I'll come home and I'll snap for no reason.

Is it affecting your marriage?

Very badly.

Very badly.

So anything else?

We have a dark shadow that follows us around. Your wife described the shadow

saw. Tell me what you see.

It's basically just a giant dark spot.

Okay. Any features at all?

I can't see facial features.

How big is this thing? It's huge.

More than 10 feet. Okay.

Anything else?

There was a night I was laying down in bed to go to sleep and it felt like

was like a spider on my face. So I kind of wiped it off.

Nothing there. And then it just felt like it started choking me.

The choking feeling you get, is it like something caught in your throat or

somebody wrapped around your neck?

It's like a hand that goes around your neck and pushes right on a soft spot.

Do you think it has anything to do with the shadow figure you saw?

Yes.

Before that, I've had my foot tugged on it.

Your foot? Laying down in bed.

Next thing I know, it just felt like something grabbed my foot and just

I mean, I don't even know how to debunk that. You would have seen it if it was

somebody else, right? I definitely would have seen it if it was somebody else.

What do you think is here? Definitely evil.

It's definitely starting to attack.

There's a lot of negativity in this house with living people, and I think

this person has a darkness.

The tall, skeleton -looking dude was attracted to.

Yeah, but it's fast, and it's like...

Yeah. I have multiple sclerosis.

Your mom seems to think that the paranormal has a lot to do with your

I'm not too sure, but I do kind of feel like I do have more symptoms when I am

at home.

So, talking to your mom, talking to dad, and they were saying they see this

shadow figure, big, tall shadow figure. Are you seeing this at all? Yeah, I see

a tall figure with a black hat. I don't see any facial features, nothing.

He sits right behind my door, just watches.

Your mom mentioned the hat too.

Anything else?

I've also been grabbed when I was laying down in my bed.

It was a very forceful pull.

You're a big guy. Yeah.

What did it, did it feel like a hand?

It felt like it was a one -handed grab and smack on my leg. Do you think it was

this shadow figure that did that?

I do, yeah. I think it wants to come after me.

How are you feeling though? I mean, your mother mentioned to me that you and her

were having some arguments. You had some real anger issues.

Just talking to you for a few minutes, I can't really see you that way. My mom

actually normally will describe me as a gentle giant to everybody.

But for some reason, sometimes when I'm here, I just get angry over the littlest

of things.

In here, I'm just feeling like anger and decompressing.

Yeah, I'm feeling it really hardcore right here.

What's going on?

You also have...

two living people here, one who has PK abilities, and

then you have another one who might be a medium.

And those two combined with their negative energy are pulling from

the energy that was already here. They're creating their own energy, and

therefore they're starting to create little mini vortexes or doorways

the house.

And how many of them are there under these vortexes? It would be one, two,

three. I think there's about four.

This negative energy that they have, you know, is creating a lot of, like,

adrenaline. So that's just building and drawing.

It's growing. It's getting bigger.

So I made my usual calls before I got to town. Local cops, journalists,

genealogists. I just got a call from a historian who says one of the original

owners of Heather and Jonathan's land has a crazy story I'm definitely going

want to hear about.

So Dan, what can you tell me about this guy? The man we're talking about is John

Marsh. John Marsh was born 1799 in Massachusetts.

Okay. So he makes it out west to Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

where he becomes an Indian agent.

So what an Indian agent is, is somebody whose role is to communicate as a

liaison between the federal government, United States, and the various Indian

tribes in the area.

Anything happen there I should know about?

One is he falls in love with a woman named Marguerite de Canteau. They have a

child that they named Charles.

Okay. Then the other thing that happens is he gets in pretty big trouble with

the U .S. government because he's accused of helping to incite.

The Black Hawk War.

He's in a lot of trouble. Do they bring him up on charges? What happens?

Well, he becomes a wanted man.

So he takes Marguerite and their young son, Charles, 300 miles away, sets him

with a family.

He returns to Fort Snelling trying to settle things with the U .S. government.

So he gets her out of harm's way, comes back and tries to see if he can smooth

things over. Correct.

However, Marguerite cannot live without him. She takes it upon herself to walk

300 miles through the wilderness.

While pregnant, she makes it to Fort Snelling, and both she and the child die

his arms.

Okay, so when does he actually make it out to California?

In 1837.

So when he gets here, he actually begins practicing medicine. He pays $500 by 13

,000 acres, which includes your client's property.

Wow. He ends up marrying a woman named Abigail Tuck in March of 1852.

Okay. The next year, they have a child that they named Alice, and that's a

family photo.

Okay.

All right, so he's married again. He's got another kid. About a year after that

photograph was taken, Abby contracts what we think was tuberculosis, and she

dies in 1855.

She is then buried on the property.

How old was she when she died? She was about 36.

Okay, so she was a young woman.

All right, so now he loses two wives. What happens next? So the following

John Marsh is heading to a business trip in San Francisco, takes his horse and

buggy. On the trail, he's confronted by three Mexican cowboys that Marsh hired

to work the ranch for him. They accused Marsh of not paying them what he owed

them. Okay.

They had a confrontation.

Marsh is thrown from the buggy, and then a man named Felipe Moreno comes over

and slits Marsh's throat.

Okay, so now we've got a homicide.

Correct. Charles Marsh, John's son, spent the next decade of his life

down his father's murder. He eventually captures Felipe Moreno, and Felipe is

tried and convicted of the murder.

This story went from unbelievable to this is bad to unbelievable again to a

tragedy. That's the story of John Marsh's life.

I'm seeing a dead couple sitting there, a male and a female.

They're both white in their 30s. They come into the house through one of the

vortexes.

The dead woman, she also wanted to say that the reason why the guy she's with

so stiff and quiet is because he's got PTSD.

The woman is kind of messed up.

The side of her face is not right. I thought she had been in some kind of

because of her face.

But then I heard no.

They seemed to be a couple from a while ago. They want out.

She kept saying, help me, help me, trust me.

Her head was hurt. Something about a premature baby.

And that's the real way she died.

Heather and Jonathan live in a big gated development.

It's a beautiful place.

But a local genealogist just called me up, said the whole place is built on an

ancient burial site. This I got to hear about.

So, Cherie, I appreciate you coming out and meeting with me.

Before we get to the burial site.

When did this development start?

In about 2002.

They started out at Marsh Creek area, which is about five miles this way.

And they developed the area all the way to where you see now. There's about 3

,000 homes in this community. So ancient burial grounds, what did they find?

Well, at first they found tools. They found a lot of artifacts.

Okay. Then they came upon some burial sites.

Okay. After they did the radiocarbon dating.

They found that the bones were 3 ,000 to 4 ,000 years old. So do we have any

idea how many remains they found as far as bodies go? They found 500 burial

sites. Wow.

Within this area here. So with all the stuff that they found, was there any

clues as to who they might have been or what they were all about? The

archaeologists on the site have dubbed them the Marsh Creek people.

And this is what the burial sites looked like.

Do we know how they survived, how they ate and stuff like that?

They were hunter -gatherer people. They survived off of acorns and fish.

Any idea how old they lived to?

There were some skeletons that were approximately 35 years old. There was

another that was 40, but not much older than that. So middle age to them was 20.

Yes. You always hear the old joke about, oh, I live on ancient burial grounds.

These people actually do.

Yes.

So I'm walking along and I see like this wide, I don't know if

it was a large creek bed or a river bed.

In it, I'm seeing all of these human bones just scattered.

Along this, I see men on their knees.

They're hunched over and they're naked. They're also completely hairless and

they're pounding on the ground in anguish. They chose to stay to remember

mourn. The tall skeleton dude was one of those people and has like

these glowing eyes.

He's got like some kind of special job here or whatnot.

And that's when I got a really bad feeling. And I mean, very bad.

So far, I've got a client who thinks something in the house killed her father

a property that was built over ancient Native American burial grounds.

But I want to see if there's anything else.

Searching through old records, I found a gruesome story about a man who kept

thousands of cremated bodies in a storage facility.

So I'm heading over to meet a local journalist who covered this crime.

Now, he says the reason the guy kept all the cremated remains is going to blow

me away.

So, Greg, do me a favor and let's take it from the top. How the hell did they

find the remains?

Steve, it happened on June 5th, 1997.

Okay. When one of the local storage units out here, the tenant noticed that

was getting this dust from the unit next door.

Okay. So he told the management company, and they come out, and they roll up the

door from the place next door, and it was like a scene from a horror movie.

There were boxes of human remains, cremations, stacked floor to ceiling in

storage unit.

Okay, that's a little bizarre.

I mean, how far is that from my client's property, do you know? It was just

about a mile.

All right, so we got a locker filled with cremated remains.

I mean, do we know how many?

Yes, there was close to 5 ,000 remains in this locker.

And some of the boxes were so old, they were like crushed and the ashes were

coming out of them. All right, so who the hell is keeping the remains there? I

mean, what's going on? Well, the guy's name was Alan Kenneth Vieira. He was a

-year -old guy from Stockton, California.

All right, so this guy sounds like a sick bastard. I mean, what would possess

this guy to keep 5 ,000 remains in a loft? I don't understand.

Well, he was a commercial pilot, and he worked with about 150 funeral prowlers

around the area.

And his job was to disperse these ashes. And he used to fly them in a plane like

this, right?

Well, what happened was he lost his pilot license in, like, 1985.

Okay. So he needed the money.

So he just kept taking the job and taking the remains and storing them in

storage unit, figuring nobody was ever going to know.

Okay, so I assume the authorities got involved.

Well, absolutely. They knew who he was from the storage locker.

They found out they got seven arrest warrants for this guy, and they went to

airplane hangar where they found another thousand boxes of remains.

Wow. Cops seek remains pilot. Okay, so they didn't get him at this point.

No. They tried to get him, but he went on the run.

All right, so with all these warrants out for him, did they ever catch up to

him? Sort of. They found his abandoned car out on a remote road in the next

county over, and they did a search, and about 200 yards from the car, they found

his body.

Single gunshot wound to the head. He offed himself.

Did the families ever get any of the ashes back?

Yes, most of the families did get the remains back from the identifications on

the boxes, but there were several hundred that were never identified

boxes were broken and ashes got mixed together, so unfortunately not everybody

did get their family member back.

I saw a lot of disturbing

things on my walk, but the tall skeleton dude tormenting a living woman has me

the most concerned.

From the front.

You see clearly a skeleton.

Everything on the back side of him is actually skin. And also,

he has eyeballs in his sockets, in the open sockets.

Amy, is this what you saw?

Yes, that's what I saw.

Now that Amy and I have completed our investigations, we're ready to reveal

findings to each other and our clients for the first time.

Guys, this is Amy.

She's going to be doing the reveal from one of your bedrooms so she can

Amy, this is Heather and her husband, Jonathan.

They live here with their two kids.

This is Bailey and Michaela.

Bailey's 21 and Michaela's 14.

So now these guys have been here a couple of years, and it's been bad for

When I first walked into the house, I knew that there was somebody here who

It's the ability of an individual, a living person, to affect their

And some of the things that I felt you guys might be having experiences with

were hearing or seeing cabinets and doors opening.

I will hear like mugs or dishes crashing, but I don't find anything.

Okay. Have you had anything with like getting something out of the cabinet and

thinking you closed that cabinet and then you're looking and it's open, but

you're like, I'm pretty sure I closed that thing. Yeah. And it consistently

happening? Yeah.

Okay. I thought I was losing my marbles.

Actually, when I sat down and I was looking at you, Heather, I do think it

you. I also think you're a psychic empath.

And you also being a psychic empath means that you're absorbing even more

energy? I always thought it was just my mother instinct.

I could tell you my kids can get sick before they do.

Okay, okay.

So, Amy, you should probably know that the house used to be owned by Heather's

father, Warren.

I actually have a picture of him here.

This guy never had experiences before, but the second he moved in here, that

changed. Really?

Interesting. Okay.

He just thought something was here.

You also think this house killed your father?

From the minute he saw this house, he declined rapidly.

Did he ever think, like, he had abilities?

If he did, he would have never told me. He didn't believe in that stuff.

Okay. The reason why I'm asking that is because I believed there to be a

second sensitive in the house.

But I felt that that individual was more than likely a medium.

Any idea who the other sensitive is?

I don't know if it was her father or if it's you.

Here's the thing. The energy created by having two sensitives in this house is

making various pathways or vortexes for the dead.

Right now, I believe there are four separate vortexes in the house. And the

problem with these is that, unfortunately, they can allow anything

I'm trembling.

Yeah, it's a lot. I'm trembling.

So now these vortexes, what's coming through them?

There were two different sets of dead people. The first one was a couple.

They looked to be probably in their 30s. The male was very, very stiff.

And she told me the reason why he was like that was because he is suffering

PTSD.

I kept trying to figure out how the female died.

because her face was a little messed up.

And I thought initially that it looked like she had been in some kind of fire

something, but I heard no.

She just kept saying, please help me.

There was something as well around her death that had to do with a premature

baby. Okay, so this is making me think of the original owner of this land.

His name was John Marsh.

He was from Massachusetts.

Now, he ended up in Minnesota in Fort Snelling. He worked as an Indian agent.

Basically, what that means is a fancy way of saying he was a broker between

government, U .S. government and the Native American tribes.

While he was there, he fell in love with an Indian woman and they had a child

together. Then things went bad.

He got blamed for starting a war between two tribes and suddenly his life was in

danger. So he sent his common -law wife to hide out with a friend about 300

miles away.

But she missed him. And get this, she walked all the way back.

300 miles. Even though she was pregnant with their second child.

But the walk literally killed her. When she arrived, she actually died in his

arms. Her unborn child was also dead as well.

So in 1838, Marsh finally made his way here and bought 13 ,000 acres of land,

which includes your property.

So in 1851, he remarried.

Now, I got a picture of him with his second wife.

But four years later, she died of TB.

And she was only 36 when she died.

The following year, Marsh got into a fight with some of the farmhands who

thought they'd been underpaid. One of them sliced his throat and he died in a

field. Now, he was 57 when he died.

I don't want them stuck here.

So you said this couple came through the vortex.

Yes. Anything else coming out of the vortex when they came out? The second

that I saw coming through is something I'm actually worried about here.

What I saw coming at me looked like a skeleton.

I know that this thing was alive once. It was a person, a male.

And what I saw was about five or six men with this

skeleton. They were all on their knees and bent over, and they were banging on

the ground.

They were around, I believe, a large creek or some kind of riverbed. And what

saw were a lot of bones that were scattered all over the place.

And that's why these men are so upset.

And they were grieving over the bones.

Well, you pretty much nailed this one.

So Heather and John's house is built on a development of about 3 ,000 houses.

Construction started a few miles away in 2002 by Marsh Creek.

This is the creek not far from here. Now, once they started digging, they

realized they were building over an ancient city. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh.

Now, they found tools, cooking sites, you know, all kinds of other artifacts.

They also found more than 500 graves with the bones intact.

This is what it looked like. It was similar to this.

Using radiocarbon dating, they determined that these bones were between

,000 and 4 ,000 years old.

Oh, holy.

Did you guys know about that? I said it. No. She felt it.

What'd you feel?

She just kept repeating, like, your face is on native ground. We're out of here.

He's very black, very big, black, black, black shadow. It's almost identical.

It's like I can make out the shoulders.

Then you can see just the shadow of his head.

The emotion with him is one of utter, utter

hate. And violence.

The reason he's attracted to your house is that there's a lot of anger here.

As soon as I pull up in the driveway, I just instantly feel angry

over the smallest things. And I snap instantly, just snap.

And for no reason.

It's anger I never felt. Screaming to where your throat hurts.

And that's not us.

No. That's not us.

Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if there's been some physical interaction.

At this point, I'm thinking touching, possible scratching with him.

I will wake up first thing in the morning and I will notice bruises on my

my forearm, inner thighs, around my knees.

And it looks like fingerprints.

And I also wake up with scratches on my arms.

So I got a couple of photos here of the bruising she's talking about.

This is one of them.

This is the other one. These are both on your... My forearms. My forearms.

They're pretty significant bruises.

You got grabbed by the foot.

Yeah. Tell Amy what happened. In bed, getting ready to go to sleep.

Next thing I know, I just had this hand just grab my foot and just tug.

Your son barely had his...

Foot grab, too. Tell Amy what happened. Yeah, and he's a big boy, and it yanked

him recently.

Okay. Remember that spider thing you talked about?

Yeah. Tell Amy what happened. It was a night I was laying in bed, and it felt

like I had a spider crawl along my shoulder.

So I kind of brushed it off, and it touched my face.

And just a few minutes later, something grabbed my throat and started squeezing.

Now, Heather, you told me you feel what?

Oh, yeah.

Creepy, in the corner, just ominous, evil, just staring.

He's in the dark, watching.

So you guys have seen it. I mean, Amy, what did it look like to you?

Actually, I did have a sketch done of what I saw.

I'm not sure if you're going to want to see this.

No, I'm going to fight this guy. I want to see what he looks like.

We are still currently in the house. We haven't moved yet.
