do you require that all deck
crew gets checked out for STDs

since bed hopping is
the norm for the crew?

- Not up till now,
but next season for sure.

I have to say,

it was fun for me this season
watching the show because you

all were clearly
an excellent crew.

I mean, you all really
were great at your jobs.

Did you... you would
agree with that, Glenn?

- Absolutely,
they were amazing,

fantastic crew, I couldn't
ask for a better crew.

- Yeah, well,

while Captain Glenn considered
this crew a crack team

overall, a fracture between
the interior and exterior

crews seemed to get
deeper all season.

And along the way, it caused
many a Yachty breakdown.

- JL needs to serve
with us every time he comes.

Is it possible to get some
help down the interior?

We have dishes everywhere.

- We never get help
from them up on deck.

But as soon as they need help,
I'll be right there.

If everyone just
did their part,

I wouldn't have to come
across as such a bitch.

From my side of it,

because I think you and
Dani are just hooking up.

- Change your own department.

Don't come and
it up with my job.

- I've literally been told not
to offer help to you guys.

- You don't have to work
any later than eleven,

even if there's
still dishes to do.

- What?!

- It's getting pretty
old pretty fast.

why you have such an issue
with helping the interior

with dishes, service
and other dinner things.

- Right. Umm...

Well, it wasn't that I didn't
want to help, but when you're

working a 17 hour day nonstop,
and I'm not saying no one is

working because we all worked
really hard.

To get the motivation to help
inside after a 17 hour day,

it's very, very hard
to find that motivation.

- I want to hear
from Daisy.

- Come on, Daisy.

- I felt...
It wasn't that I felt

like you were any lazier,
worked any less than we did.

That was never

my interpretation
of what was happening.

But my interpretation
was that, oh, it's interior?

Not my problem.
Not my job.

I know you work 17 hours
a day, but I also know

that you had a lot of downtime
during those 17 hours.

But, that's ok.

- Colin, Leah C.
said it looked like

you did some of the deck work
aside from your engineer work

and helped Natasha
prepare the crew meals.

Why is it such a hassle

for the interior to get
a little help as well?

Was Gary overreacting?

- Umm...

No, I kind of agree
with Gary on this one.

The deck guys are
working really hard

and yeah, it's just it's just
one of those things

that it's easy to point
the finger and assume other

people aren't working
as hard as you are.

But everyone was busting
their ass on this boat, so...

- Gary, how many smoke
breaks did you take a day?

- Uhh.. Three, four, maybe.

- Three or four a day?
That's it?

- Who knows?

- Three or four,
first smoke break.

So if you have three or four
per smoke break. Four smoke

breaks, that equals
at least 12.

So...

A 12 cigarette break during

dinner time is
not a good time.

Dinner service is
my biggest pet hate.

And I agree with both of you.

I don't think an exterior
crew were lazy at all.

It was the chosen
times to kind

of seem to have a break.
It grated me.

- Glenn, are the interior

and exterior crews obligated
to help each other out,

or is it completely up
to the department heads?

- It's got to be you know,
it's got to be reciprocated.

I think it was, but it's
got to be a team effort.

It's not, Oh, that's
not my department.

That does not wash at all.

Dani, you were rightfully

pissed when you learned Gary
was trying to change your job

to address JL's lazy behavior
when he worked nights.

How do you think Gary should
have dealt with the problem?

- He should have
dealt with JL.

If his problem was that
JL wasn't working,

he should have
dealt with him, not with me.

I was doing my job.

- Daisy, did it bother you when
Gary tried to insert himself

into how you run
your department?

- Umm, at the time it didn't.
I understood where

Gary was coming from,
but when I saw the interview

and he said like, Oh,
Daisy takes, takes, takes,

I didn't mind
that he came to me.

I was like, Ok, well, this
isn't going to work.

And he's like, he takes
takes takes. I'm like,

Piss off. Like this is
the way it's going to go.

There's no way I'm changing

my department because of your
absolutely moronic deckhand.

Like, I'm not...
It's just not

going to happen.
And it's my fault. No.

in question is JL?

everything on JL.

did Gary really tell the deck
team not to help the stew's or

were you just saying
that to cause drama?

- Ummm...

I would never say anything
just to cause drama.

However,
there was times that

perhaps I was encouraged
to focus on my breaks instead

of helping Interior when I
was rather the Interior.

- Gary, did you say that?

- Yes, I did.

But I said it after 11 o'clock
at night, and I remember as

clear as day me saying
that Sydney was up when she

was on days at 6 o'clock
in the morning.

We didn't get a rest
throughout the day because we

were busy, but that's
just how it was.

And I said to her, after
11 o'clock, you go to bed.

By law, she is not allowed

to work from 6 o'clock
till 11 o'clock at night.

By law, she is not.
So I'm just trying to look out

for my deck department as much
as possible and then for her

to go to everyone around
the table and says, Gary said,

I'm not allowed
to help you out.

I kind of did, but
I had reason behind it.

- Yeah, I will say I was really
wound up when Gary said that.

But by watching over it made
a lot more sense to me.

He didn't say don't help,

but of course people like
to have their breaks.

Never ever what I expected
from anybody.

- Question, sorry.

I mean, and I agree
with you completely Daisy,

but if I had a terrible work
ethic, I'm sure I wouldn't

have lasted this
long on boats.

And yes, I agree with what you
said Dais and Glenn,

that we were a team and we
need to help each other out.

I've learned that from this

season and it's not
going to continue.

Thanks Dais, my girl.

But at the end of the day,
when you've worked your shift,

you can't physically
work 24 hours nonstop.

And that goes for every
single person here.

So for me saying to her it
was looking out for her.

Sydney, I never said
that to never help.

- And volatile relationship

I knew you were
season Yachty

and a lot of stuff
we agreed with

and some stuff we didn't.

And it was very
confusing for me.

I think watching the show,
it was obvious where I was

confused and where my and
where there was

miscommunication,
misinformation coming to me.

But you clearly also hated me

and thought that I
was a giant bitch. So...

Being bitchy and being a bitch
is completely different.

Anyway, what I was saying,

what I was elaborating on is
when you say communication was

a problem and I think that
is what it boils down to.

- It wasn't easy for watching

the way you spoke about me
in our interviews.

I didn't think it
was very nice.

I think you were pretty harsh

about me, that you were
derogatory towards my job.

You were derogatory towards
me as I felt as a woman.

And I like you.

I have a lot of respect
for you and...

I don't know. I don't know

where we kind of broke down
during the season,

but it obviously happened.
Maybe it was other people.

I might have missed those

episodes where I've been so
derogatory to you because

that actually hurts me
a little bit because I never

thought I was
derogatory to anyone.

this might be the first
Below Deck season where all

the stew's got along
with the Chief Stew.

What would you say were
Daisy's strengths as a boss?

- I always felt like no matter

what I was doing,
I was going to be able to get

it right because I had Daisy's
support the whole way through.

She took the time to actually

teach me things the way
that they should be done.

And she was amazing.

- Daisy's amazing!

Glenn, Dan F. from Syracuse
wants to know why your crew

has such a looser code
of conduct rules than

the crews on the other
Below Deck shows.

You do seem way more easy

breezy than Sandy
or Captain Lee.

- I think maybe this season you
see them party on the boat,

you see them doing
stuff on the boat.

And so maybe it seems like
they should be acting

in a certain way because
they're on the boat.

But it's partly because they

can't go to a bar
and really let loose.

But I think they're
professional.

As far as my style.

Yeah, I'm a little
more hands off.

But, you know,

my style only works with great
people and I think I had great

people and they you know,
they take care of themselves.

- Yeah.
And to elaborate.

I think because
of our situation

with the Covid protocols

and stuff, we had
to socialize on the boat.

And while you're working

on the boat, the boat is our
home and you're a lot more

relaxed and a lot more loose
in your own home, I think,

than out in public,
in a bar or at a restaurant.

And people are seeing

that and comparing
it to other seasons.

But this season
is like no other.

So it's it's a bit

of an unfair judgment,
if I may say so.

- And also,
other seasons were a party.

I'm also like, relax, it's
just a boat.

People are just having sex.
We're just going swimming.

- Glenn,
is there anything

that you saw while you were

watching the show that you
didn't know happened

that wound up irritating
you when you saw the show?

- I think people casually,

everybody like a
revolving door into the guest

cabins is not cool,
but it's not, for me

it's not a deal breaker.

It's not like something I'm
going to fire somebody over.

is the most challenging.

- Yeah, I have learned the
definition of making eggs,

of us like sometimes.

pitas actually were
in the basket?

- There were actually
twenty and I know Daisy may

not agree with me on this,
but there was twenty

and I know like I have photos

and all the dates
on my iPhone.

The thing is, my ex-boyfriend
at that time,

I had sent him photos, what
I was doing the breakfast.

And he sent back the photo
for me when he saw the episode

with the date on it and
the time that I had sent him.

So I did make 21, 22 pitas.

It's not something I want
to argue about anymore.

I think it's the past
it's not really...

wants to know why

can't you admit when
you make mistakes?

Nobody's perfect.

- Watching myself back

on the show,
it made me realize how

defensive I was. Daisy,
the way she approached me,

it's kind of like
intimidating to me.

It's kind of like aggressive.

So whatever she gives to me,

like I give back
to her and I'm sorry.

Daisy and I spoke about that
and we're in a better place.

And I was wrong
a lot of times.

So I am sorry.

And I apologize for the
times that I was wrong.

- Very good.

wants to know, Glenn,

what was your reaction when
you watched the show and saw

all the ways Natasha dropped
the ball and even lied to or

misled guests?
For example, telling Erica's

charter they got five courses
then changing it to three.

Telling Barrie's charter he'd
gotten the cotton candy

machine and then bailing
on that request,

serving scrambled eggs when

the guests asked
for over easy.

Should you have stepped
in sooner, Glenn?

- Good question.

Again, I see that stuff after

the fact, so it's kind
of hard to step in.

I think a couple of those
are simple mistakes.

I love Natasha's food.

I gained a lot of weight
during the season.

She's an amazing chef.

But we all make mistakes.

I think she made
some mistakes.

And she you know,
I think she misinterpreted

some some orders
and stuff like that.

But maybe a couple of times,

I don't know what happened
with the three courses and

the five courses, but maybe
she made a judgment call

and, you know, she's got her
hand up so let her answer.

- I did tell the guests
they had five courses,

but they started
drinking like a lot.

So I was like, they're drunk.

They are not going
to have five courses.

So that's why I switched

to having three courses
instead of five courses.

But I was prepared
when they came and

tell me they are hungry.

Would you like for
me to stop, honestly,

Ok, I'm giving you all
an extra course.

I really thought
that they were drunk

and they would not
have a lot of food.

- You were punishing
them for being drunk?

- No, you just never know.

But the thing is like me when
I'm drunk, I don't eat a lot.

Some people eat a lot.
Some people don't.

So, I was like--
- Oh my God, I eat.

I eat like two meals
when I'm drunk.

Daisy, you blamed the bad tip

after Barrie's
charter on Natasha.

Do you still stand
by that statement today?

- You know what,
I go back and forth,

I kind of think it was
a collective thing.

I do believe that we were all

a team and I think we
all dropped the ball.

But, yeah, I was pissed off
at Natasha's performance.

- Natasha,
what do you think?

- Maybe I am, maybe I'm not.
Me, I'm not blaming anybody.

It is what it is and Barrie was

a difficult charter,
so it more reflects on him

and not us, I guess,
because I think he knew

that he and his
family were difficult.

- Raise your

Natasha was to blame for
the tip on Barrie's charter.

Daisy and Gary. And Glenn
is raising a finger.

- Not me, I'm joking.

- We're all to blame.

There's not one person that
brings a charter ship down.

- Ok.

Natasha, it's not just deck.

It's not everybody.
- Daisy.

- It's not Natasha's fault
we got a bad review.

- I think it
was Natasha's fault,

but I also actually
really felt for

Natasha as well
at the same time.

and delivery of your feedback
could account for 50 percent

of the tension between
you and Natasha?

Would you do it differently
after watching the show back?

- Brilliant. I love my

so condescending.

I'm not a naturally
condescending person.

And the two of us struggled to
communicate with each other.

So, yeah, I would have I don't

regret the strong words and
done it differently?

settling really nicely.

and Daisy complain a lot about
Natasha's overconfidence

despite her ups
and downs in the galley.

enough ups and downs for one
season, everything went

sideways and the boat
backed into a dock.

Let's take a look back.

Like everybody I've ever

worked with is
going to see that.

So, yeah, it's not fun.

I know I kind of understand
what happened now.

I just I talked to Byron
the other

a couple of days ago, and he
had a very similar problem.

When you're in high revs,
when you're maneuvering

and you go under stern,
it gets stuck sometimes.

And it's exactly
what happened.

I didn't realize it
until I spoke to him.

He spoke to the manufacturer

of the it's a control
wheel pitch propeller.

And he said it's
a known issue.

I didn't know about it.

I wish I had I wouldn't
have used the higher revs.

But, yeah, it's a--

It ain't pretty.

- When I was
watching and I was

like, he's got to be
used in lower revs.

That's what happened.

- Well, the thing about--
no, exactly.

- So Andy, so so.

- Thank you, Gary.

Gary is the only one that's
understanding me tonight.

How much did the repair cost?
- It's a freak event.

- How much did
the repair cost?

- We were the -- the people

who painted the boat just
prior to this season

owed us a free paint job.

So I think was a couple
of grand just to fill it.

- That's it?
- But we were yeah.

- It was just a paint job?
That's all that it needed?

- I know, yeah, yeah, I mean,

it was just filler
that was damaged.

We were really lucky.

And you can see those we
were super lucky,

those stones lifting up
and riding up the back.

That was like a massive shock
absorber and it saved us.

- What did the dock cost?

- I think it was
five, six grand.

The insurer, our insurance
took care of it.

- Wow.

Lewis I. wants to know how you

think your deck team performed
during the emergency

situations you
faced this season.

- Exemplary.
They were amazing.

I mean,

I don't see it till after
because,

you know, Gary and Sydney
in JL, they're they're

sorting out this
problem at the back.

I'm like thirty five meters

away trying to control
what the boat's doing.

Everybody did amazing.

- All right.
Let's leave it there.

wants to know if you think
Gary did everything he could

as JL's boss to kick
his rear into gear.

- Yeah, I think

JL is an interesting case

to work with,
but I think that Gary

handled him the best that he
could and sometimes

you know,
there could have been

more done on JL's part,
but I think that JL is very,

very green as to what he was
doing and maybe didn't

necessarily express
that so much.

- Colin?

- Yeah, I didn't
particularly get on that well

with JL from the start,
we didn't really click,

but I felt like he kind of

didn't want to take
instructions from from Gary or

myself sometimes that which
isn't in any episodes.

But that was just his attitude
towards work a little bit.

And yeah,

he was I think Sydney had
a much stronger work ethic.

- Glenn, do you
think JL's work

ethic improved as
the season went along?

- He just didn't get the
urgency of what's going on.

You know, like

they need something
and he's eating, you know?

- Gary, did he improve?

- I once thought about
this with JL

what that saying is,

you can take a horse to water,
but you can't make it drink.

And I was trying to teach
JL as much as I could.

Maybe I was a bit
hard on him at times.

Maybe Sydney, too.

But then when
hits the fan or we

slide into the dock,
we hit the dock.

Maybe it is my forceful nature
of me being hard on them

that gets them
to be able to react quickly.

Maybe besides him

- I think when it
comes to a workplace situation

that Gary's very
competent at his job.

Gary's very good on deck.
He knows what he's talking

he knows how to react.

So I don't have a problem

with the way he
ran his deck team.

- Glenn, do you
think Gary set a good

example as a department head?

- Professionally,
Yes, absolutely.

Personally, yeah.

- I mean,
the thing about it is

the issue is that on a boat,

personal and professional,
it's just one big overlap.

So it's kind of you know,
it's you you can't necessarily

make them into two different

categories when everyone
is living together.

And, you know, it's all
happening 24 hours.

- Yeah, I can understand
that argument.

I can understand
that argument.

And would I have done it
the same way as Gary did it?

No, but I'm not Gary.

- I also think Glenn
is being very, very generous.

Gary is the head
of department, I love Gary,

I love everybody, but Gary
knew what he was doing.

He knew the chaos
that was going to cause.

And I think he
should be held responsible.

I think he calls the
bull

And, he knows he did.

Gary's been doing
this for 12 years.

It's not your first rodeo.

- That was my first rodeo.

In that situation,
I can promise you that.

I don't want to
relive any of that.

But...

can say that, it
takes two to tango.

So, yes, I am
to blame 100 percent.

But we're all human.
We all I'm not going to say it

wasn't a mistake
because whatever.

But if you are sitting there
and telling me you've never

had a one night stand drunken
hookup in your life, then yes.

that happened with Sydney

You are right, that was like

that was like a mistake
and like everybody's part.

But I think as somebody

senior, I do think somebody
has to be held accountable.

- Definitely

Sydney was stronger than JL,
there's no question.

I think that comes
across very clearly.

I love Sydney.
I think she's great.

And I do want to say,
as far as the whole thing

with Gary, you know,
it's it's complicated because

they're in the same
department.

But I really want to say

that I think they both handled
themselves very professionally

once it came out that first
their first interaction

and how that evolved,
but how they kept working

together professionally,
I was amazed by it.
