I may not get a water
license next year.

be our last year here

Less than halfway
through the season,

two-thirds of the way

towards his 1,500-ounce gold.

But his biggest
gold-producing cut,

Rally Valley, is mined out.

out of Rally Valley

in three weeks.

but we gotta move on.

on getting the most gold

I can out of the ground.

out of some ground up there.

For the last two weeks,
Rick's crew have been

stripping and digging up pay dirt.

hauling it 900 feet

to stockpile next
to Rick's second wash plant,

Rocky, which has sat
idle for nearly a year.

to put some gold in it.

his dad on Scribner Creek.

Now, he's weeks behind

on his royalty payments.

Kevin get on the gold,

key pieces of equipment

to get sluicing,

a herculean task

to finish the wash plant pad.

This is the first time
that we've tried to run

three plants at once.

And really the success
of the season depends

on us being able to do it
and keep three running.

But it's a pretty tall order.

Nearly halfway
through the season,

is hoping to turn a corner

with three wash plants

set to run nonstop
for a full week.

This place
has gotten pretty hectic.

There's just a lot
going on everywhere,

and operators

and mechanics
and Chris in the gold room.

They're all doing their
part to try to keep

the wheels under
it but it's tough.

Parker needs
his three-plant blitz

to get him
out of a massive hole,

having banked just a tenth

of his 10,000-ounce
season gold.

In the Long Cut,

Roxanne is racing
through prime pay dirt.

At the Bridge Cut,

Big Red is sluicing
top layer pay gravels.

And down at Ken
and Stewart's,

wash plant Bob is churning
through reliable ground.

It's a lot of moving
parts trying to keep all

the rock trucks running
and wash plants maintained,

and now it's just a matter

of how long
can we sustain this?

We're here
at the Bridge Cut.

We're hopefully getting
into some better pay.

And Tatiana and Michael are
trucking it to me to sluice.

I'm hoping
it's got some better gold.

It hasn't really been
looking too good this year.

the biggest rock trucks
on his mine site.

With being so behind,
there's a lot of pressure

coming from Parker,
and definitely

make a huge difference.

The amount of dirt we
can move during the day

is almost double, the A40s.

So they're very, very handy.

The A60s

hold 20 tons more dirt

than their little sister,
the A40.

Over a thousand tons
more pay a day.

Just at Big Red.
Just dumping.

We really gotta hurry up
and get things done.

the A60 weighs
a colossal 50 tons.

The problem right now
is we've got the box

slightly elevated.

I don't want the excavator
pulling on the box with the...

With the cylinders extended.

We're just kind of at risk
of bending a cylinder

or snapping a bolt off
at the base of it

which will destroy
the cylinder anyway.

So we're gonna just try
and make some clearance

by pulling on the frame
a little bit

and, lower the box.

You can fire it up.

Yup.

It's just a bit more rigid
with the box all the way down.

The A60
has two hydraulic cylinders,

which extend to tip the box
and dump dirt.

just be careful.

If Taylor destroys one,

the A60
will be out for weeks.

Uh, the tires
are buried pretty hard

into the one side there,

so there's quite a bit
of resistance.

but it wasn't
an easy week either.
