My name is Thomas
Vail, or at least it was.

I'm a photographer. I had it all.

A wife, Allison.

Friends, a career.

And in one moment, it was all taken away.

All because of a single photograph.

I have it, they want it, and they
will do anything to get the negative.

I'm keeping this diary as
proof that these events are real.

I know they are. They have to be.

I used to take photographs for a living.

Now, to get by, I find myself
working on other people's pictures.

Pictures of loved ones.

An attempt to preserve memories.

And more than once, I've stopped
to remember when I had loved ones.

When I had memories worth

the town where I taught school.

Kids have parents.

of those kids talk to their teachers.

I guess I became privy to
certain facts that I shouldn't have.

Our goal, after all, is to
pursue our normal lives.

Cooperation is the key to our
freedom, and freedom is our doorway home.

sense of community get thrown in prison?

about his private little Alcatraz.

people had died or taken ill.
