So, she left
and headed down the road, on foot.

[Eric] So, this was just
another typical night of drama.

So, James Sythe got in his car
and he drove home.

He flew into a violent rage

and followed Kendall Carter
down the road...

where he proceeded to kill her.

[cell phone chimes]

[Faith] He beat her viciously.

He pushed her over a railing
to the creek below...

and left her to die.

[Eric] James Sythe didn't attack her,

and he couldn't have pushed her

because he wasn't there.

And then the next day, I opened,
and I did what I always do.

Because of the rain the night before,

the trails were all muddy and wet.

So I had to cut up to Old Quarry
by the bridge

in order to get back to the road.

[birds cawing]

Right. And just to be clear, when you
found Kendall Carter, she was dead?

Her head was in a pool of blood.

It was awful.

pulled me out of everything,

then turned around, and just drove home.

And we'd see each other the next day,
and we'd work it out...
