we should talk about what happened

at the end of tonight's
nail-biting episode. Yeah.

Well, they've decided someone
from those three.

And according to Harry,
the murder's perfect.

Who do we think it's going to be

and who do we hope
it's going to be?

I think if they choose Charlotte,
it would be...

It's so random

that it would throw everyone
into a bit of a tizz in there.

That would be a really
random one, wouldn't it? Yes.

Yeah. Yeah, it would.
It would be like, well, why her?

Yeah.
So who's been connected to her?

Who's been...? We've not heard
a lot from Charlotte yet. No.

She's played a pretty quiet game,

so to kill her out of the blue
would really mess people up.

Yeah. And I wouldn't do
the clairvoyant,

because she might see it coming,

even though she's seen
nothing else coming so far.

So, we're not hoping for Tracey.

We're not... We're maybe hoping
for Charlotte.

I wouldn't mind if it was Tracey.

She's not giving...

And no offence, Amanda, but Diane's
taking it for the gays now.

They're probably having to go back

Unfortunately, it was Jonny
who got banished tonight.

I mean, I personally didn't
really see this coming

from the previous episode.

It seems to have all happened
so quickly.

I think when one person
is mentioned,

it is like that bit
of herd mentality.

Everybody now is trying to save
themselves, as well, aren't they?

Yeah. So if they haven't
really got a lot to go on,

they jump onto the bandwagon,
and yeah, unfortunately,

I didn't see it coming.

And I liked Jonny.
Yeah, yeah. Jonny was a good boy.

You've been there.
Do you find that you all...

Do you just jump in and think,
"How can I save myself?"

Because you see it flip
on a coin and it annoys me.

Yeah, absolutely.

I mean, it can change...

You know, you sort of have the chats
throughout the day

and then you think, "Right, OK,
the majority is going to go

"with a certain person."

It can change round
that table three or four times.

Let's talk about Paul,

because certainly Jaz really
has his sights set on Paul now.

Do we think that's
going to come to fruition?

Because he seems to be holding
back a little bit as well,

because he knows how much clout
Paul's got, is what he said.

I think Paul is really going
to be in the spotlight now... Yeah.

..so he's really got to pull it
out of the bag.

Yeah. I think he's going
to do it, do you?

I mean, the suspicions have started
to come.

So, let's actually have a little
look at what Jaz said about Paul.

So, please,
if I'm not here tomorrow,

remember this conversation.

Bro, he's acting different,

and he's too popular
to be bringing his name up.

Too popular.

There's too much clout.

It's a very smart move from Jaz...
Yeah. Yeah. ..I think.

To say that out loud,

to voice your opinion and say,

"If I'm killed tonight,
then it's Paul,"

it almost guarantees
that he won't be killed.

Exactly, yeah. Because he's the one
saying that, right?

But as long as Jaz knows
he's saying it to

someone who's
going to tell Paul that.

Yeah, well... And he is.
He's saying it to Harry.

Well, he's saying it to Harry.
Guaranteed.

The only thing with Paul is,
I think he's playing it very clever,

but I think he's going to turn even
on Harry

and Harry isn't
going to be aware of that.

I also think the whole point
of The Traitors is, well,

you're second-guessing,
then you're third-guessing

then you're fourth-guessing.

You never know if something's
a double bluff, a triple bluff,

a however many bluff, you know?
I'm not Carol Vorderman.

So, it's how do we know he's not
the Traitor?

That's what my mind would be going.

Yeah. You know?
My mind would be going,

"Well, how do we know Jaz is not
the Traitor?"

"If I'm not killed tonight,"
and then he turns up tomorrow,

how are YOU not planting the seed?

I mean, I'd be a paranoid mess
if I was in there.

Yeah. I'd have to be a Traitor.

Oh, I had so much fun. Yeah.

Yeah! I mean, you know,
I've had five children.

God, I'd a couple
of weeks away. It was fantastic!

I didn't care if I had to murder

to have a couple of weeks away.

You'd do anything for a free
breakfast and a bit of, you know,

a bit of time
on your own after five children.

So, no, I really enjoyed...
This is why you're loved.

Paul also got called out
by Anthony at the round table... Yes.

..and this was to do with
their sort of botched plan.

Now, the plan was obviously
Paul was going to be saved,

then they could they could
kill Andrew,

and then Meg
would get banished.

But obviously they saved Andrew,

because Paul thought
he was the most popular. Yes.

So it's all gone a little bit wrong.

But then when you see... This is why
I think Paul's incredible.

When they went back to the turret,
Paul's reaction was,

"It's worked, our plan's worked.

It's like, "No, it hasn't.
Your exact plan completely failed."

Yeah, but he can't see that.
He can't see that. Because to him...

He wanted Ash out.

She's gone.

So, to him, that was his plan.

Yes. I think that was his individual
plan in his mind.

Although he's playing Team Traitors,

he's not Team Traitors.

He's Team Paul. Team Paul.
He's Team Paul. He's Team Paul.

Absolutely.
We're on the same page, guys.

Yeah.

Amanda, how many steps ahead
were you as a Traitor?

Were you doing things day by day,

or were you thinking ahead
like a game of chess?

Oh, no. Day by day.

Who was annoying me that day!
But that didn't come across.

I thought you had it all covered.

I thought you absolutely had
the whole thing planned.

Cool as a cucumber. I know, I was in
the chess club when I was younger,

so perhaps something...
Maybe that's it.

..like that came through.
I don't know.

Yeah, but we've got that
chess guy in there now.

He's a chess coach, to be fair.
Oh, he's a coach, is he? Yeah. Yeah.

I think the best way to play
a Traitor,

I know it's a game of deception,
but it's a game of trust. Mm-hm.

You have to get people
to trust you very quickly.

And Paul has done that. Yeah.

And that's what it's about.

And as long as they trust you
and believe in you,

they believe any shit you're saying.

Now, I want to talk about
the missions,

because despite sort of rising
tensions amongst the group,

they seem to have worked
really well as a team today.

Yeah, I think...

You need the missions
obviously to win the prize fund,

but I think as a team it brings
you together

and it does
just calm your mind down, as well.

Mm-hm. You can observe other people.

It's a good excuse for the Traitors
to get rid of people

that aren't participating.

Yeah. You know, they can use
that as an excuse as banishment

to start sowing some seeds.

But yeah, really, it's nice

just to sort of calm down
and be a team,

but that's
when the friendships,

you could see them bonding more
and more... Yeah.

Totally. ..because they are totally
relying on each other

to pull this, the mission, together.

And that's when their friendships
are going to form

and that's when it's going to
get harder.

Can I say, I think, as a viewer,
the missions are where the Traitors

let things slip?

Because I think Harry's
facial expressions in some of

these missions have
given it away.

When they didn't get
the shield for Paul...

Yeah. ..he was visibly gutted.
He was gutted, yeah. Yes.

If I was in a one-mile radius,
I feel, of Harry at that point,

I think I'd have been onto him.

Well, and in this episode he was
offered, wasn't he, a shield,

I think once or twice?
And he just said,

"No, it's OK," because he knows
he's not going to get murdered.

Yeah. And they gave it
to Ross instead. Yes, yes. So...

But I also think that was tactical
of him to try and seem

like a real team player.

Yes, yeah. And, like, well,
that's what a Faithful would do.

I mean, there's always kind
of a way of spinning it.

Yeah. Yeah. "Well, that's what
a Faithful would do. I'm Faithful."

Yeah. I think tonight, though,
the real star of the mission,

for me, was Charlie.

So, let's have another
look at Charlie in the mission.

This is for Bristol!

CHEERING

Get in!

I'm so happy.

Whoo!

No matter what happens to me
in this game,

that was the proudest moment
of my life.

She's brilliant, and we've not heard
a huge amount

from her in the build-up... No.

..but now she's really announced
herself into the game, I think.

Screaming, "This is for Bristol,"
at the top of her voice

as she launches a catapult. Yeah.

It was that slo-mo through the
field for me. Yeah. It was like...

I just want to see that slowed down
and sexed up.

I think she's going
to be a dark horse.

I think she is. She's going to come
from, as you said,

she hasn't put herself out
there,

because I think
being a Faithful as well,

you can't, you shouldn't be too loud

and voice opinions too early
in the game. Yeah.

Because... Because that'll knock
you out. Yeah, going to get you out.

It'll target you.

So, you know, she's going to come
from behind

when the time is right, I think.

Because there are people

that we haven't really talked
about on this show yet. Yeah.

But really that's
a compliment in terms of gameplay.

For sure. Because those are
the people that are just going to

sort of just be under the surface
of the water for a little bit longer

and hold out until those crucial
moments, so... Yeah. We'll see.

Someone who didn't hold out
until the crucial moment was Meg...

Aw! ..who was unfortunately
murdered.

She had to be murdered.

That was their only option,

because it was obviously
between Paul and Meg at the end,

because they were the two
remaining dungeon dwellers.

Yes. And so they had
to kill Meg,

but she already had a lot
of suspicion on her

as a potential Traitor,

so I think she would
have been banished.

What do you think she was doing

that had got
all that suspicion onto her?

I think it's what she wasn't doing.

I think, I'm sure she's
a really nice girl,

and I actually can't wait
to chat to her,

you can be a really strong person

and then you go into a room
and there's five other people

who are stronger characters
than you,

and it does something
to people's, like, I don't know,

psyche or whatever,
and it changes. It does.

And I think she just became
within herself

and that raised suspicion.

And if you give an opinion,
you have to back it up.

Yeah. Yeah. Obviously, right at
the start of tonight's episode,

we got to see Ash
reveal herself as a Traitor.

Yeah. How would you assess her time
as a Traitor?

I think she was
the weakest link. Mm.

You know, did she deserve for
the other Traitors

to not stick by her so early?

That's questionable, because I do
believe we've got Team Faithfuls,

Team Traitors, and we should...

I know it's called Traitors,
but we should keep sort of

a team alliance for a certain amount
of time.

But she was...

Yeah, she was the weakest link,
definitely.

Yeah. She was just giving...
Her body language, everything,

she was just giving too much away.

She was.
And having met her now on this show,

she's just the most effusive,
lovely person,

very warm personality.

But she really does give a lot
away of her personality. Aw.

I think she just immediately
wants to talk to people.

Yeah. And for some reason, that got
a lot of suspicion onto her

that she was going round asking
people questions

and trying to work out
what the lay of the land was.

Yeah. And that was the first port
of call for her banishment.

Yeah, she was trying too much
to see what people's thoughts were

rather than just letting it
run a little bit.

Let it run and just guide it gently.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

I also think the other Traitors
stabbing her in the back

this so, so, so early,

it's opened the gates to say
anything can happen.

Does it feel more brutal,
this series, do you think?

Yeah. It feels so much
more brutal. Yeah.

I think from the off-start,
everybody's in it for themselves.

Yeah. Everyone, you know?
And that comes across.

Yeah. Definitely.

It's exciting, though, as a viewer,
isn't it? Yeah, it is, yeah.

That first night this launched,
I was like,

"I'm just going to watch
the first one.

"Oh, go on, we'll just put two on.
Oh, it's midnight.

Oh, go on, we'll just... It was,
like, two in the morning,

three in the morning,
I was pacing up in the bedroom,

like, needing to see the next fix
of it. I know.

It's fantastic. It's the best show.

I shouldn't say it,
but it's the best show.

Well, your video,
if you were in The Traitors,

would be you watching old episodes
of The Traitors? Yeah.

I mean, I wouldn't be sitting
like this, let me tell you.

It would be untucked!

I think they would jump
at the chance to have that.

I think they should.

this process today,

I'm starting to think I'd be
a crap Traitor,

because I'm a bit like Ash.

our Faithful murdered Meg
and banished Jonny

finally find out who the Traitors
actually are.

Now, do bear in mind,

this was filmed the day after Meg
and Jonny left the game,

so Meg doesn't even know
whether Jonny is a Traitor or not.

a task and he's doing it.

who else it could be?

I mean, who hasn't spoke
to Harry?

That would be the next thing.

Paul, I don't think, really, much.

at the round table

and doesn't

And Harry is very much similar.

They just go with the flow.

That's the way they're playing it.

Harry and Miles both voted for Ash,

so they threw a Traitor
under the bus. Mm.

Very clever. That is smart.

And they let
everyone else make the decision,

which is even worse. Very smart.

So, I had a feeling with Paul
that he was using real emotions,

do you know what I mean? Thinking
about things... What an actor.

What an actor. He was fantastic
in the dungeon and all.

I just thought he was a Faithful.

Jesus Christ, so there was two
Traitors down there

and one upstairs.

I mean, look, there they are
in print.

Oh, Harry, Miles and Paul.

Well, they're a good Traitors team.

They actually are. I actually...
I can't mock that.

So sad to see you go.

Is it something
that you were expecting?

In my heart, I could feel
an energy shift.

And I was thinking,

"Have I said something wrong?
Have I done something?"

You could just kind of pick up
on the atmosphere change,

so I had a small feeling that
something was going to kick off

round that round table.

But you don't know
until you're sat there.

So, it's yes and no, to answer that.

I think from our perspective,

it all turned against you so quickly.

Yes. Like, the previous episode,

I don't think anyone was even
really looking at you

and then suddenly someone
pipes up with...

I think the issue was
you were too nice.

Yeah, I have that problem
in life.

It doesn't always do you good,
does it, when you're too nice?

Ross and Jasmine were quite strong
characters in there,

and the minute I went for them,

that's where I shot myself in
the foot. No pun intended.

Can I ask, now you've
seen it back,

is there, like, a bit of sour
grapes?

Not at all. Oh, I would be.
Really? I think.

Oh, I think... I take my hat
off to you. Oh, yeah.

Oh, I bantered the moment,
don't get me wrong.

in that VT that we just saw,

that you did have suspicions
about all of the Traitors.

I thought everyone was a Traitor.

know who's on your team,

and that's what people
don't realise.

It's like Team Faithful,
Team Traitors.

Team Faithful don't know
who's on their team. Mm-hm.

So you're looking at everyone.

And the minute I went to go and talk
to someone, I was like,

"Oh, no, that could be a Traitor
I'm talking to." Yeah.

So I naturally felt reserved,

but I didn't want to be,
but I just didn't know who to trust,

so it was like that...
It's the paranoia, isn't it?

Yes, massively.
It does really get to you.

You wouldn't know
you were a Traitor.

Yes, I know, but I was trying
to feel it. OK?

You were trying to feel the paranoia.

That's how method you were.
Yeah.

In your mindset, you were
a Faithful.

I've never thought of it like that.
How stupid am I that...

Of course you don't know
who's on your team. No. No.

You said something very canny
about Paul in that video, actually,

that you felt like he was using
real emotions

and then putting them out
in The Traitors... Yes.

..as if he was a Faithful.

And I think there was that
moment where

he started to get a bit emotional.

He started to cry about going
home to see his family. Mm-hm.

And I think that was a genuine
emotion that he somehow managed...

Yes. ..to manipulate into looking
like he was a Faithful.

So, you know, I was very...

I related to Paul in the sense of,
I've got two young children

and your emotions are up there
compared to normal.

And, you know, you're tired, you're
stressed, adrenaline's pumping.

And if I was just to think about my
children,

I would have probably
felt really emotional.

Yeah. So I... Even if it was...

I believe they were real emotions
and I still do to this day,

because all he had to do was think
of his children and he would get

upset because I knew that's what
would happen if I did. Yeah.

So I tried my hardest
to put them back,

and I think, when I saw Paul upset,

irregardless, they were real
emotions and I could feel it.

And that's why it hit me hard
as well, because he started talking

about his children and straight
away, woof!

Yeah. I felt that as well, and
that's why I was like, you know,

I've had to comfort him.
You mentioned your relationship

with Harry, obviously, the Army
link, the sort of...

I mean, I think Harry described it
as a brotherhood... Yes.

..on the show. Naturally.
Yeah, naturally,

which made him feel a little bit
guilty

about having to go against you, but
he did do it quite quickly, anyway.

Yeah, he did, didn't he?

When you think about it.

Do you think, if the roles were
reversed, if you were a Traitor,

would you have been able to go
against Harry in the same way?

That's a tough question.

So the reason why I'm so
understanding with Harry now

is because I was his age, his rank,
and that's when I was still serving.

If I was given a task, irregardless
of how I felt, how we're trained

in the army, you complete
that mission.

You've been given a mission.
You complete that mission.

But he had the squeeze on the
shoulder, so he had to do a job.

He had to do it, yeah. I mean,
irregardless of the fact

that he did vote for you at
Banishment

and he knew that's what
he was aiming to do...

Go on, stir the pot, babe.
Go on, stir it!

No, I'm saying I think
his emotions were genuine

and he did feel bad about it.
Yeah, yes.

And we've actually got a little VT
of his reaction after

you were banished. Aw! So let's have
a little reminder of that.

especially when I'm involved in it.

It's hard to watch it back,
to be honest.

Now, Meg, going back to the video
of you finding out who the Traitors

were, you seemed a little bit
more surprised than Jonny was.

at who the Traitors were.

In fact, I think there was a big
gasp for every single name.

Yeah, to be fair, like, I just had
no idea at all, to be honest, ever.

I was always wrong.

Everyone I said, I was like,
"No, not that one."

Or just, I'd have a new theory
every day.

Just, in the end, I just went
with it, to be honest.

Went with my gut, and that was that.

Even when you were in the dungeon
with two Traitors,

so you're obviously in there
with Andrew, who was a Faithful,

and then Paul and Ash,
who were both Traitors,

you had all day in that dungeon
with them,

did you start to suss out anything
about them while you were in there?

Um, yeah.

To be fair, you do kind of start
to... When you're vulnerable,

like, you're most vulnerable,
they are as well in there.

It was quite a quite a complicated
day, that, but, yeah,

it was just really unpleasant

and we all were in it together
at that point.

But also, you know that they were
kind of sussing you out as much

as you were trying to suss them out.
And under conditions like that,

I just feel like none of it was
accurate, to be honest, none of it.

Now, suspicion was building
against you, Meg.

I think, you know, maybe
your cards were numbered

even before you got murdered.
There was a lot of suspicion

building up, especially

Again, Diane's had something

against Anthony from the beginning
of the whole game.

But why do you think you had any
suspicion building up against you,

I'll be honest,

I was quite quiet in there at
multiple points.

There were a lot bigger
personalities than me,

and at points, I just thought,
"Actually, it's probably better

"to just keep my gob shut
than open it."

But maybe in certain moments
I should have talked more.

But in general, I just never knew,
because they were voting people

that talked too much... Exactly.

..and they were weighing people up
that didn't talk at all.

So, you know, you never
know how to be in there.

It was always very complicated,

and I just decided to just
be on the back burner

and watch it all happen,
to be honest.

I think they get ahead of themselves

get away with a little bit more.

I think Harry might come
under suspicion of it.

you're rooting for them.

with it, it's delicious, isn't it?
