looking on, feeling sick.

Never raised a hand not
to kill, nor to stop it.

And when it was all over,
the smoke, blood, screaming.

They blowed assembly for
us to go back to the fort.

I wasn't with 'em no more.

They'd have to kill me first.

You know, I might have
heard about that massacre.

And I'm not trying to
defend what the Army did.

What they did was wrong.

But there are times
when a man has

to kill to defend what's right.

denying the sacredness of life.

put uniforms and badges

on men like you and me.
