You can't even imagine
the plans that I was building.

P knew in his mind where
he personally wanted it to go.

We got a shopping center,
we got a real estate business,

film, sports business.

It's about No Limit Sports
being able to compete

with any other agency out there.

No Limit Sports
was supposed to take

the No Limit enterprise
to another level.

But what suffered
was the breadwinner,

No Limit Records.

It was no longer the happy
family that it once was.

Please, I don't wanna
hear that shit!

Shit got weird.

The minute you show weakness,

the wolves circle around you
and devour you.

No Limit was at a point
where we was like

we wanted to be the biggest
record label in the world.

Well, the west coast was
doing the west coast

and the east coast was doing
the east coast.

P sprouted up out of the south

and was just like,
"Bam, I'm here."

So by 1998, No Limit Records
just got all these free agents.

Then I was so happy
that Mystikal was on No Limit.

And then we got Snoop.
That was so big!

You know, everything got bigger.

This was really
Master P at his finest.

No Limit Records
is in the house!

23 albums.

16 go gold or platinum.

In 1998,
it was selling like crazy.

Master P ends up making
the "Forbes" list that year

and he earns $56.5 million.

At the same time,
No Limit Records

was worth $400 million.

Coming from
the Calliope Projects,

coming from poverty,

being able to make "Forbes"
was crazy.

But I knew I need to be
making money in other places.

That's what '98 was all about.

Why not be doing movies?

Clothing company, real estate,
I learned diversification,

so I'm even more dangerous now.

Basically, what I did
was I prepared myself.

In business,
you gotta have a strategy

and you gotta have plans.

I had a record label,
but if you in business,

you can't just eat off
of one plate.

There's no limit to your game
with the new MP,

the hottest shoes on the planet,
in stores now!

Master P had gas stations,
shit at the mall,

just had all kind of shit,
he was different.

The Master P action figure,
that mother... was clockin'.

Pull the thing, "Uhh!"

"Uhh!"

He even had a sex talk line
at one point.

Shit, Master P was cakin' up.

We realized who we were
and what was the mission.

We had like 12% of all the music
market share in the world.

And all the money
from that, man,

it just started accumulating.

I think me knowing
diversification,

knowing that I need to be
making money in other places,

even if this music thing
go away from us,

we still going to be able
to make millions of dollars.

He understood, "The more I put
No Limit in your home,

the more you're going
to say it..."

I'm bout it.

...the more you're going
to buy it,

the more you're
going to respect it.

Wow, another business venture!

He opened the door
for people to be

their own boss, to make money.

This is the blueprint.

The business side,

I ended up learning
from No Limit.

That's why I call it
No Limit University.

Percy Miller showed us
a lot of tools

to use our talent to be great.

We got a lot of business savvy
and we got rich fast.

That was just the power
of No Limit and Master P.

Who did that prior to him?

Not a...

Some people just
do a lot of things

and some people only
can do one thing.

You know, with me,
I been blessed and gifted

with a talent that I can
do a few things.

In '98, he couldn't do anything
wrong, but he wanted more.

So he pursued the NBA
and playing ball.

I started working out with
a lot of professional athletes,

then I started realizing
that I still had it.

Hip hop mogul Master P
is joining the minor league

basketball team
the Fort Wayne Fury of the CBA.

And I was like, "Man,
what the... do you wanna

play basketball for,
all this money we making?"

He was like, "Man, I done
accomplished all of this

"in movies and music,
but my passion,

this what I love to do."

It wasn't really about
the money for him,

so he just had a dream
to do it, so he pursued it.

I was getting probably
like $1,000 a week,

flying on these
little small planes.

No matter how big I was,
I'm showing the NBA,

showing the CBA we not bringing
no attention to nothing.

It's just hardball.

He wanted to earn
his basketball credits.

He wanted to be out there
and said,

"Wow, this dude
can really play."

So by '99, I'm doing
what I love to do

and at the same time,
we have more records

than any other company ever on
the top of the Billboard charts.

There's nothing bigger than us.

No Limit, the number-one
company in the world.

Well, basically I gotta
get this basketball thing

out of my system now,
you know what I'm saying?

The NBA lockout is over with.

You might be seeing me
playing with an NBA team.

I don't know, uhh!

At first we used to laugh,
I remember he said,

"I'ma play for
the Charlotte Hornets."

Till you seen him dribbling
that... basketball, mother...

If he said he was gonna do it,
he was gonna do it.

The Charlotte Hornets!

We filled seats, all
our games were sold out,

it was like a concert.

It was historic.

I feel like this is something
probably never be done again

where you can come from hip-hop

and be a professional athlete
'cause it's a lot of hard work.

But it was like,
man, I'm in now.

The fans loved me, this is it.

I know, like, I'm on this team.

P was the first rapper to go
on to get him a NBA jersey.

We were there at the games.

We supported Percy,
we screamed for him.

Went out there, I held my own.

A lot of NBA players know
Percy Miller, Master P,

he's a real baller.

Are you serious
about playing in this city?

You tell me for yourself,
what you think?

My jersey was the hottest
jersey at the time.

Autograph day, I had
10,000 people in my line.

I went in the community,
I helped underprivileged kids.

I did my part.

And I'm thinking, "Man, okay,

at least I'ma be
in the league, I'm in."

Then the politics kicked in.

The GM told me, he said,
"Percy Miller,

"you a hell
of a basketball player,

but your music is pure filth."

I was the last cut on that team.

I couldn't believe it, like...

What were your thoughts

on your time with the Hornets?

I love the Charlotte Hornets
for giving me the experience,

and hopefully some other team
is gonna keep me this year

'cause they know
Master P got game.

When he played in the NBA,

P saw the money that
all these big agents

were making
off of these athletes,

but they're our athletes.

You know, so why
we can't do that?

In the NBA, I saw everything,
man, from what goes on

in the locker room,
what goes on with the agents,

the financial advisors.

I had the insight
and I wanted to give that

to the people around me.

The main thing I wanted
to do was make sure

athletes was getting fair deals

and also have somebody
that look like us.

Are you a soldier?

I had Derek Anderson,
I had Ryan Mercer,

I had all these different guys
and I was ready to expand.

You can't even imagine the plans

that I was building
for No Limit Sports.

We're here at the future site

of No Limits Entertainment
Complex here in Baton Rouge,

and it'll feature not
only offices but also

recording studios,
a gym, a swimming pool
and living quarters.

It looked the size of a Walmart.

I mean it was pretty darn big.

The lure of not just
the tank medallion,

but getting these athletes
into music videos and all that,

I thought, he's gonna
hit some big guys here.

Ricky Williams runs
to the Hall of Fame,

cuts back!

Ricky Williams, touchdown!

The chance of getting
Ricky was intriguing for him.

Ricky Williams not only won
the Heisman Trophy,

but he had set
the all-time rushing record

in college football.

Ricky was huge!

And I was like, okay...
let's meet him.

The first conversation
we had is,

"Hey, we really wanna
have you, come..."

you know, he was just
trying to sell me.

I went to the school,
sit down with him, met him

and we just hit it off, man.

Ricky was a different
kind of person.

It was an unconventional
direction to go,

but it felt really good to me.

And I remember in college,
my Discman...

P and No Limit was
with me all the time.

They're the soundtrack
of my most amazing

four years of my life.

Uhh!

This is about making history,
taking No Limit Sports,

a black-owned business,
and being able to compete

with any other agency out there.

I saw it as being something
that was potentially

good for my career but,
even bigger,

good for the game of football

and the self-respect
and dignity of athletes.

Master P actually talked
Ricky into leaving

a really big sports management
firm to come to No Limit.

I wanted a tank.

I wanna first say how
excited I am to be

a part of the No Limit
Sports Management.

They're gonna do some really
big things here

in the future and I
wanna be a part of that.

That really scared all these
white companies

that had that on a choke hold.

Master P was disrupting
that industry in a major way.

When you have a player that
has those accomplishments

and that big a name and
you've got him as your client,

you're setting yourself
up for success.

We could dominate with our
star power and family business.

For our culture and our
community, it's unheard of.

In 1999, Snoop releases
his sophomore No Limit LP,

"Top Dogg."

Oh my God, we on
and poppin' now.

I was like, ooh!

I wanted to get on it,
but damn it wasn't my album,
it wasn't my song.

We still trippin'
with Death Row,

so C-Murder like... that.

Just spoke with
Suge Knight recently

and he said he used
to be a superstar

and now he's just
a No Limit Soldier.

What do you say to that?

Nothing, he used to be a CEO

and now he's just a inmate.

That probably what made
C-Murder have that vengeance

in his heart, to say it
without saying no names

but just to let a... know,
...them other...,

I'm down with

Actually, I have the story
behind that song.

I could never say
nothing about it

'cause it had
no relevance until now.

So in 1998, Master P did
a "I Got The Hook Up"

comedy jam at the
Universal Amphitheater

in Universal City, California.

I'm a big fan of Master P
and I'm just looking forward.

He's just constantly breaking
history and making leeway

through black music
and music worldwide.

The show was sold out,
everything was going wonderful.

In between the comedy show
we went on and performed a song.

We went on the stage
and uh, Dogg got left.

He was in the green room.

So, this is what happened.

When we sitting on the inside,
Death Row guys walk up.

So we chopped it up.

Five minutes later, it's
about seven of 'em around me.

I ain't paying attention,
so the soldiers

done went on stage,
now I'm back here

talking to these Death Row
...by myself.

We end up yapping
and yapping and yapping.

They talking behind my ear, so
I'm like, "Let me holla at you."

So now they were like,
"You owe Suge apology."

I'm like, "... Suge,..."

He's like, "What?!"

Maybe Snoop was...

talking crazy to them
and they caught him slipping.

When I got to "The Hookup
Comedy Jam" in L.A.,

shit got real.

Towards the end of the show,

there was a grand finale

where they brought all the
No Limit Soldiers up on stage.

What's up?

Y'all bout it, bout it,
rowdy, rowdy!

So the soldiers done went
on stage, now I'm back here

talking to these Death Row
...by myself.

...tried to take off on me.

Woop, he missed.
I get out of there.

I'm up on the side stage
and Snoop just comes flying by.

Master P and them get the word
while they on stage.

I could see somebody, you know,

and they're telling
everybody to come.

They literally ran off the stage
in the middle of a performance.

Broom, boom and everybody
was like running out the gates,

so we, pow, run after them.

DJ's got the record spinning,

there's gunshots...

on the song but audience
doesn't know that,

so now a riot is happening.

You know, all you see is
the red shirts coming

and I was like, shit,

all you see was
that camouflage too.

I get aw-izz-ay, no cuts,
no scars, no hits, no nothing,

but I run right into the law
with weed in my pocket

and everything 'cause
I'm trying to save my life.

They handcuff me, they put me
in back of the police car.

As soon as we come out the door,

we got officers drawing...

pumps in our faces
and helicopter...

"Get on the ground!"

They didn't know where Snoop was
so they're screaming,

"Where the... is Snoop,
is Snoop all right?"

The 20 cops
aiming shotguns at 'em,

they're screaming back, "You all
need to get on your knees!

Everybody on your knees!"

And they're like, "We ain't
getting on our... knees!"

It's a standoff.

My No Limit Soldiers was ready.

I was in the back of
the police car like this,

I seen about nine...
Walk out like this.

Master P and them
was going crazy,

"What's happening,
what's up, what?"

'Cause they just heard that
the... just jumped Snoop.

They didn't jump me,
they didn't get none.

Been doing this shit
for years,...

They take me and my cousin
Daz to jail

and when we get in there,
Ray J's in there.

So we spend four hours in jail
with Ray J.

I ain't making
this shit up, man.

I'm not making this shit up.

No Limit did prove to Snoop
that we had his back.

He's not with Death Row
no more, he's with No Limit.

Nobody's messing with Snoop.
That's it.

Master P, he had a plan for us.

He ran down what he thought
that should happen

as far as music, albums, movies.

In 1999, we want to
expand our brand,

so we did action movies
and we were able

to sell that in about
30 different territories.

We on fire!

Yeah if we that hot,

we should be
the mother... Hot Boyz.

The opportunity to be a part
of "Hot Boyz," that was fun.

Silver screen,
that's a whole nother

set of checks right there.

Hot Boyz,...

No Limit Films was in
the $50 to $75 million range

from a revenue standpoint.

We then started to get the calls

from the studios
and the big producers.

People like Joseph
and Peter Guber,

who was head of Mandalay.

And that's how Master P

got a $10 million, five picture
deal with Trimark.

Nobody in hip hop
was doing that, nobody.

We expandin' and, uh...

y'all just might see me
on "Scream 3" too.

Master P was putting less
emphasis on the music side.

He was putting his energy

into new opportunities
that made sense.

We got a shopping center,
we got a real estate business,

we got a sports business,
we got a film, music...

You just never know
'cause it ain't no limit.

I'd look at P sometimes and go
"This is bloody... nuts."

But that was P.

I'd like to bring out my man

Master P and the
No Limit Soldiers!

In addition to the films,

Master P came into
a deal with the WCW.

In 1999, the No Limit Soldiers
debut on WCW

and they face off against
the West Texas Rednecks.

No Limit Soldiers! Hoody hoo!

And I said, man, you know,

sometime you gotta think
outside of the box.

That's the bodyguard of Master P

that just jumped
the safety rail.

We was the first to put hip hop

into pro wrestling with the WCW.

I probably had one of
the biggest contracts.

I signed on to do two matches,
they paid me $2 million.

Master P's involved!

Master P!

All the No Limit Soldiers!

That was a short-lived
wrestling career.

Hoody hoo!

Hoody hoo!

So I left the WCW to go do
other business ventures,

but the No Limit Soldiers
stayed there

through the rest of the year.

I don't know what his goal
was at that point.

We would just follow
and try to keep up.

Even when we were
working on albums,

he always talked about still
going back into the NBA.

How are you gonna end up

balancing everything
else that you do

along with basketball?

I've got great people
that work for me

and it's time for
them to do that.

'Cause I wanna play basketball.

That's my dream, I'm chasing it.

So, I'm on my way to Toronto.

Throwing up the three again
and he's got it!

Penetrating inside,
he's on fire!

Percy Miller!

Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady,

Charles Oakley,

all those guys knew
that I could play.

Now, Master P. Got it!

Every rapper fantasize
about being in the NBA.

Master P did it, but God
clearly had a different plan.

I had a $3 million
one-year deal on the table,

and the next day, they decided
to go a different direction

because Vince Carter agent,
Tank, had got in trouble.

It was like a big scandal.

I don't think
the Toronto Raptors
wanted to let me go.

They had to let me go
'cause it was too much tension.

That was it, I mean,
I was the last cut.

It was disappointing,
but I knew the politics.

You know, we all have dreams.

What suffered was
the breadwinner,
No Limit Records.

That ball shit is cool.

Don't let it take away

from what's making us
real money.

We got too comfortable
with being at the top.

Master P was working
on everything but music,

which he seemed to be fine with.

At the same time,
Cash Money was hot on the scene.

It's time to make a change.
I'm coming for y'all.

How does it feel
to be front and center

on the hottest indie label
in the country right now?

Stars calling me,
wanting to do the nasty,

but it's all gravy,
you know what I'm sayin'?

You got Cash Money
following the blueprint
that Master P laid out.

They were kind of grinding
in a parallel state

with No Limit, but they were
here all the time, obviously,

and P was kind of away
doing his thing, so...

You could see
that they were becoming

a force to be reckoned with,
for real.

I'm very excited.
Like, this our big break.

I had people talking to me
and they said Cash Money's

looking for a distribution deal,
and I was prepared to do it,

but P was really, really serious

about not letting us
sign Cash Money.

He said, "Yeah,
if you sign those guys,

there's gonna be big problems."

They'd been slim.

A lot of they people
was from the Magnolia

and we was from the Calliope.

It was a war going on
at that time.

I stay strapped.
I mean, I'm strapped
right now.

With those two
neighborhoods beefin',
anything could happen.

If they wanna bring it to me,

take it how you wanna,
bring it how you feel.

I feel like I saved their lives.
Baby knew.

Cash Money ended up
signing with Universal.

It was the way it was
supposed to happen.

These guys went and built
something that was supposed

to be a part
of Southern hip-hop, too.

And my whole thing
with No Limit was,

man, keep grinding.

Master P knew in his mind
where he personally wanted

No Limit to go,
but there was clashing of egos.

Beats by the Pound got
into a little beef with P.

They felt they were worth more.

Percy was also very busy,
so a lot of times,

we had people passing messages

from P to them, from them to P.

You know, in the middle
is always a little funny.

There was this meeting
that they had with Master P

over the phone
and they expressed they self.

Something got miscommunicated,
then it got personal.

It never became personal.

Beats by the Pound wanted
to be they own boss.

When they left
having that meeting,
I was at the house.

So, they all came in there
like, "What the...? Right?"

I don't think that they
got the answer that they
was looking for.

I didn't have to create
a Beats by the Pound.

I could've paid for whatever
the top production
there was at the time.

I believed in these guys.

When you give opportunity
to somebody that's ungrateful,

that's really sad
'cause they wouldn't had
that opportunity without me.

Go handle your business.
They did.

Did it work out?

1999, Beats by the Pound
leaves the label.

When they lost
Beats by the Pound, man...

...that was important.

That was his weapon, for real.
The artists, we were great.

We were very important.
They were the heartbeat.

When I got the news,
"Oh, well, the Pound,
um, they leaving,"

I was like, "Ah,...,
I don't know what I'ma do now."

You know, P brought in
new producers

who were good producers,
but we were so family,

it was like,

yeah, they cool, but I don't
wanna work with them, man.

What's up
with Beats by the Pound?

Man, close my ears,
I don't wanna hear that shit!
You know what I'm saying?

After we split,

Beats by the Pound was still
working with all the rest

of the artists
that was with No Limit.

But I don't recall anybody
having any big records
after that.

It was no longer
the happy family
that it once was.

Shit got weird.

Imagine going in
your house one day

and all your paintings
are off the wall.

It's a house,
but the personality about it,

what accumulated
over time, is gone.

That's what it felt like.

'99 was a time to get rid of
all the bullshit from around me.

When the smoke clear,
I'ma be good.

Fire in the hole,
fire in the hole,
stand by, and action.

After Master P lost
Beats by the Pound,

a lot of people were
critical of him.

So, he came out
of retirement to drop

"Only God Can Judge Me."

"Only God Can Judge Me" was
personally my favorite album.

I'm not in it tryin' to be
the biggest star in the world.

It wasn't about,
I needed to rap.

I think that the message
needed to be heard

that only God could judge me.

Where do we go from here?

I mean, can't no man put
no barriers on my life.

We gettin' ready
for a new start,

and the people
that's not gon' be around,

go on 'bout your business.

What's going on with you, man?

Ah, man, just chilling,
just glad to be here,

you know what I'm sayin',
and I wanna thank

all my fans
that supported No Limit,

'cause without y'all,
we couldn't get

rowdy, rowdy, 'bout it,
'bout it, ya heard me?

By '99 things had
started to change.

No Limit had so much
going on that maybe

there were people
who felt that P

stretched himself
a bit too thin.

I wasn't spreading
myself too thin.

I was doing what I had to do.

It was all part
of a bigger plan.

Television, movies, clothing.

Percy was doing all that
before anybody else
thought about doing that.

He said, "We gotta make
many levels of revenue stream.

It can't just be about music."

I mean,
the music business is cool,

but now just do something else
with your money

because it still gotta grow.

If I didn't get my feet wet
in this other stuff,

I won't be able to make it
the next ten years from now.

You gotta be able to
keep up with the time.

We were still moving.

You know, P had
the No Limit Sports into effect

and had just signed
Ricky Williams.

So, I was drafted
as the fifth overall pick

by the New Orleans Saints.

Pretty much immediately after,
the conversation, you know,
started

that there was no way
No Limit Sports

were gonna be able
to negotiate a good contract.

Why are they saying that?
Because they're ignorant.

They think that P's
gonna be across

from the NFL team.
He's not an attorney.

He's not an agent.
He's not gonna do that.

People would just look and say,
"Are you crazy? Are you stupid?"

They don't understand.
I mean, he's a businessman.

It was all negative.
The one thing that still
bothers me to this day

is people assumed that P was
my agent, but I never once

talked to P about contracts
or negotiations.

With me and my vast experience,
and P hearing about me

and me hearing about P
and what he wanted to do,

it was a natural for us to bond
and join together.

When I started talking
with Leland about a contract,

my idea was, "I think
I have the potential to be

one of the best
running backs ever."

I've heard all this conversation
about athletes

being spoiled
and being overpaid.

I wanna do this differently.

Signing bonus of $8.8 million
should be my reward

for what I did in college,
but everything else I do,
I should have to earn.

So, let's talk about putting
in incentives that allow me

to make more money
if I actually deliver.

He a student athlete
making $400 a month,

eating noodles in a dorm room.

Now you got $8.8 million
in cash up front.

Who not gonna take that?

Now you can buy your mom
a house, a car.

You can buy you some things.
You know, like, that's the way.

And I know that's the way
Ricky was thinking.

He told us what he wanted
to do and that was it.

They had to do it
or he was gonna

go do it with somebody else.

So when I signed the contract,
I got my signing bonus,

and the backlash was that
No Limit Sports screwed up

and it was the worst contract
in the history of the NFL.

A lot of people think

that he signed
the worst contract
in NFL history.

What are your thoughts on that?

You know, I think
Ricky Williams is a man

and he worked out
with his agent
what he wanted to do.

He wanted a lot
of money up front

and he got it,
and now he gotta work.

I was feeling
grossly misunderstood.

And then in our first preseason
game, I sprained my ankle

and then I battled injuries
the whole first year.

We only won three games.
It was a season from hell.

And so all the negative stuff
people said

about my contract,
it made it true.

Even though he only made
one of the incentives,

he still got the $8.8 million.

A lot of choices that I made
were projected

or put on top of No Limit Sports

when, really,
they were my decisions.

The disappointment
with the contract

and the way it was covered,
the relationship deteriorated.

I left No Limit at the beginning
of my second year.

Me leaving, it felt like,

essentially, it was the end
of No Limit Sports.

After Ricky's deal,
I think people

were becoming wary
of dealing with these guys.

You know, I think certain things
you could get away with

in the music industry,
it's more rigid in the NFL.

And I think maybe
he underestimated

how white
professional sports were.

It's life, but we was
the first to do it.

No Limit Sports was a good idea,
but we didn't have time

to sit there
and run it ourselves.

After the Ricky Williams
situation,

No Limit Sports started focusing
more on basketball,

but then I didn't
even wanna do that no more.

I'm like, you know what,
we just gonna

shut it down, man,
and do something else.

With the sports complex,
I had invested

millions of dollars,
but I end up selling it.

We were, literally,
the number one

independent rap label
in the world.

Then late '99, early 2000,
things slowed down,

and I think for Master P,
the weight of everything

started to feel like
it was closing in,
and not in a good way.

A lot of times,
things we were supposed to do

had to be put on hold
until he came back.

Time don't wait for nobody.

And in my real life,
I had a real problem.

In 1999, I lost...

14 family members in 18 months.

And then my mom died.

She went through so much.

Every time she start that album,

she lost somebody
that was close to her.

I left No Limit
because I had to be a mom

and be a big sister,
so I made the decision

to just not rhyme no more.

And then the boys,
they were all just there
and I was gone.

I think everybody was
beefin' amongst each other.

Sometimes you start out
with aspirations.

We all love each other
and we all a team.

But the love was gone.

I blamed myself.

I did.

You noticin' our family
burnt out.

You know,
I wanna be with my kids.

So, guess what,
it's time for me to go ahead.

And so I left.

I don't know what's going on.

I just know I ain't making
no... money.

I don't know what made
the flow of water stop,

but something happened,
so I had to just...

I had to just keep moving.

I was already rolling
and I had my parachute on.

So, before that bitch
even start shaking,

shit, I was out the door,
"I'ma get at y'all.

I got some business
I gotta handle over there."

I was gone already.

It's a lot of record companies
you will look at, that,

once you sign with these guys,
they own your life.

Like, I've never done that.

I tore they contracts up,
let 'em move on,

and never asked anybody
for anything

and never said
anybody owed me anything.

Fiend, gone. Right.

Man, it's time for us as artists
to step up to the plate

and focus on getting
our careers where we want 'em.

I don't want nobody
to be around me

that don't wanna be around me.

that could bring No Limit

to a whole nother level because
Master P gon' own these masters.

So, if I can get
some Dr. Dre shit

in the No Limit catalog,
what a way to pay this man back.

I allowed him to be hisself.

He went from struggling
in the music business to boss,

and that's what we done
with Snoop.

Their three-album deal,

it was exactly what
they both set out to do.

P gave Snoop the tools
to stand up

as his own man
and not have to be under anyone.

Snoop graduated from No Limit
and he had my blessing,

saying, "Man, go out
and blossom."

And that's what he did.

I feel like that record
was a masterpiece.

The album went double platinum
and it's a part of history.

Is this gonna be
the last album on No Limit?

this Snoop last album

and the same thing is, I mean,
we got a good personal bond

that we still gonna be
working with each other.

It's like a corporation.

When you lose an employee,
every day,

they ain't gonna put it on

we got our own talent.

Right after Snoop left No Limit,
a lot of people thought

Master P and No Limit were never
going to be quite the same.

At that time, people was tryin'
to count me out.

I might come down a little bit,
but then I'll pop back up.

He had a formula.
It was a constant formula.

It's like it's constantly going,
constantly going,
and we just never stop.

I created another brand
just like that, instantly.

Master P, C-Murder,
Silkk the Shocker and Krazy.

P was like,
"I really gotta push forward

to show that I can

I don't know how somebody
can say No limit

wasn't strong with the 504 Boyz

'cause we still putting out

No, we not selling 15 of 'em
at one time,

but any company that put out

is a successful company.

P had a historical run.

But at the time,

P was only putting out
a handful of records.

Losing major artists is
gonna slow anybody down.

But it just felt like
the writing's on the wall,

this is starting to slow down.

This can't last forever, can it?

It changed. It's gonna change.

Every three to five years,
this business will change.

they're moving on.
