She's suffered so much, Ridge, and now Taylor wants her to lose

her marriage, too.

>> Ridge: No.

>> Ridge: [ Sighs ] >> Brooke: She wants Steffy with

Liam and Hope with Thomas.

>> Ridge: She's concerned about our grandson.

>> Brooke: It's more than that, if Taylor had her way.

>> Sally: I think it's good to talk about things --

get everything out in the open.

>> Quinn: Mm-hmm.

Well, if there's something you want to say to me, be my guest.

>> Sally: Look, Quinn, I don't expect us to be Forrester's new

dream team, but I do think that there could be a way that we can

enjoy working together, find a way to get along.

I just need to know how you really feel about my involvement

with Wyatt.

♪♪ >> Wyatt: Look, if I'm getting a

little too personal here, you can tell me to back off.

>> Flo: No, no, no.

I-I think it -- it makes a lot of sense that you'd be wanting

me to find my father.

>> Wyatt: I just remember you used to talk about it in high

school and...

>> Flo: Yeah, after you -- After you left town, I just put

it out of my mind.

>> Wyatt: Yeah.

I mean, I figured that.

Look, if you're still interested...

I might be able to...

help you look into it.

♪♪ >> Quinn: All I care about is my

son's happiness.

>> Sally: Me, too.

And I mean that sincerely.

I am committed to making Wyatt happier than any woman ever has.

>> Wyatt: I can't make any promises, but if you still want

to find your dad, I'm -- I'm with it.

>> Flo: I don't know what to say.

>> Wyatt: Well, I know -- I know you just said you don't really

think about it much, and I don't want to push it or anything,

but...

I mean, I realize how much my life changed when I met my

father, and...

I mean, how incredible would that be if the same thing could

happen to you?

>> Brooke: I think it's wonderful --

a grieving mother consoling a grieving child.

>> Ridge: It is wonderful.

>> Brooke: Hope really wants to help Douglas, and I think she

is.

>> Thomas: I couldn't agree more.

>> Ridge: Hey, son.

>> Thomas: Brooke, your daughter has been a godsend to Douglas

and me.

[ Baby cooing ] >> Hope: [ Chuckles ]

[ Cooing continues ] ♪ Na-na na na ♪

♪ Na na na ♪ >> Douglas: Hope?

>> Hope: Oh, hi, sweetie.

Where's your daddy?

>> Douglas: With Grandpa.

>> Hope: Oh! Well...

did you need me?

>> Douglas: Can we go skateboarding?

>> Hope: Ooh. You know what?

Not right now, but I am sure glad to see you.

>> Douglas: You look sad.

>> Hope: I am, a little.

>> Douglas: Are you thinking about your baby?

>> Hope: I was.

But you know what?

Enough about me.

How 'bout you?

How are you feeling?

What is it, Douglas?

>> Quinn: My son is a very generous person.

>> Sally: And I love that about him.

>> Quinn: I don't doubt that one bit.

>> Eric: You two working on something together?

>> Quinn: No. We were just talking about Wyatt.

>> Eric: [ Chuckling ] Wyatt?

>> Quinn: Mm-hmm.

>> Eric: Now, that's somebody I'm gonna miss around here...

although I do understand the draw to a family business.

Just ask my children and my grandchildren.

Sally, you're here again already?

You're settling in?

>> Sally: Yep!

Feel like I never left.

>> Quinn: That's because you didn't.

>> Eric: Fact is, uh...

I never wanted you to leave in the first place, although I did

respect you wanting to revive Spectra Fashions.

You remind me of myself when I was a young designer -- the same

drive and determination.

>> Sally: Thank you, Eric.

I'm honored.

>> Eric: I'm very glad Ridge talked you into staying.

>> Sally: Me, too. I just -- I hope he doesn't immediately

regret it.

I'm laser-focused on my line, but I have to go out of town for

a little bit.

>> Quinn: You're taking time off already?

>> Sally: I have to see my grams.

>> Eric: Is something wrong?

Is Shirley okay?

>> Sally: Yeah, yeah.

Everything's fine.

I just feel like I'm gonna be too busy once my collection

launches, and Wyatt knows I don't like to, you know, have

too much time pass before I see her, so...

>> Eric: Well, of course.

Of course you should go.

That's very thoughtful.

>> Quinn: Yeah.

>> Sally: Well, I am devoted to the people that I love.

>> Quinn: [ Sighs ] >> Wyatt: I mean, I think these

DNA tests are pretty easy to use.

>> Flo: Could it really be that easy?

I just send in a sample and they tell me who my dad is?

>> Wyatt: [ Chuckling ] Yeah.

I mean, he might not be in the database or whatever, but, I

mean, if we can find a cousin or a relative or something, then,

you know, maybe that'll get things started.

>> Flo: God. I don't know if I'm ready, Wyatt.

My dad has been this mystery to me my entire life, and now I can

actually...

find out who he is?

>> Ridge: Where is Douglas?

>> Thomas: Over at the cabin.

And he saw the door open, so he ran to see Hope.

He'd be over there every day if I let him, but I told him that,

you know, Hope's got her own stuff she's dealing with right

now.

>> Brooke: Yeah, but she loves seeing him.

>> Thomas: I don't want her to feel obligated.

>> Brooke: Oh, she doesn't.

None of us do.

>> Ridge: Anything you need -- anything at all.

>> Thomas: I think we're good.

Douglas is doing really well, and we have Hope to thank for

that.

She's got him talking about his feelings, you know, and it's --

it's really good for him.

It's made a difference.

I don't know how we would have made it through this time

without her.

>> Douglas: I really miss my mommy.

>> Hope: I know.

And it's okay to feel sad about the people we miss.

>> Douglas: I cry sometimes.

>> Hope: You know, I cry, too, and that's okay.

And so is feeling mad or confused or scared.

You're gonna feel a lot of different emotions, Douglas,

and, you know, sometimes you might even feel happy.

And that's okay, too.

It does not mean that you don't miss your mom, all right?

It just means that you're having fun and you're excited, like --

like how we're gonna be on the boardwalk when we go

skateboarding together, yeah?

You know, some days you're gonna feel like you're rainy and

gloomy on the inside.

But other days, you might feel a little sunshine instead.

And that's how I feel when I'm with you.

>> Eric: So, what's all this tension between you and Sally?

>> Quinn: She was singing Wyatt's praises, as usual,

talking about how grateful she is for everything he's done

for her.

>> Eric: Well, isn't that something that every mother

wants to hear from her son's girlfriend?

>> Quinn: Eric...

I know that you're fond of Sally.

And I like her enough, you know?

Just it's hard to feel positive about someone who introduced

herself by stealing my husband's designs.

>> Eric: I forgave her for that.

>> Quinn: [ Sighs ] And you and my son have the most

beautiful hearts.

But it reminded me that Wyatt once gave his heart to someone

else -- a young woman that he was involved with when we lived

in Las Vegas.

She's here in L.A. right now.

And her mother and I -- we were such good friends.

>> Eric: All right. All right.

I see where this is going.

So, you hold this other young woman in very high esteem.

Who is she?

>> Quinn: [ Sighs ] >> Flo: There was a time when I

really wanted to find my dad.

>> Wyatt: What was our plan?

We -- We were gonna try and save enough money so that we could

hire a private detective?

>> Flo: That's what we were gonna do, yeah.

[ Chuckles ] Oh, God. We were so brave then.

>> Wyatt: Yeah.

>> Flo: And I knew that whatever I found, I'd be able to face it

with you.

And I figured my mom kept it from me for a reason.

>> Wyatt: Yeah, me, too...

enough to tell me that he was dead.

[ Chuckles ] >> Flo: Quinn said he wasn't a

good guy.

>> Wyatt: Yeah, back then, I mean, I guess he wasn't.

But...I mean, meeting my dad has -- I mean, it's changed my

life, like, more than anyone could have ever imagined...

beyond the money and the fame and all that, but...

of course, I mean, the chances of something like this -- like,

the exact same thing -- happening to you is slim.

>> Flo: That's exactly what I told your mom.

>> Wyatt: Well, yeah.

It doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Even if you don't get to meet your dad, at least you'll have a

name and -- and some information that -- that might help you

answer, you know, some of the questions that you might have

had about yourself.

>> Flo: Yeah. You know, I, um...

I spent a lot of time convincing myself I didn't need any of

that.

>> Wyatt: Mm-hmm.

>> Flo: But then when your mom brought it up and asked me if

I'd found him, it -- it kind of just brought up all of these old

feelings I had.

>> Wyatt: Yeah. I mean, well, she's seen what it did for me --

how much I've grown, you know, how I feel about my brothers --

and I think maybe she just wanted that for you, too.

>> Flo: I want that for me, too.

I do. But there's just -- There's really no guarantee.

And I've, um...

I've seen firsthand how even the...best, um -- best

intentions just don't really always pan out the way you want

them to.

>> Wyatt: I just want you to know that I'm here for you,

whatever you decide to do.

>> Hope: You feel better?

>> Douglas: Yes.

>> Hope: Mm. Me, too.

And whenever you want a hug, you just ask, okay?

>> Thomas: Does that go for me, too?

>> Douglas: Yes! Daddy!

>> Thomas: Hey, buddy!

Wow! That's a really great hug!

You know, I just saw some beetles outside on the front

steps.

You want to go check them out?

>> Douglas: Can I catch them?

>> Hope: Uh...you know, maybe we should leave them where they

are?

>> Thomas: Oh. Okay.

Well, I will come out and look at them in a second with you,

okay, bud?

All right.

>> Hope: [ Chuckles ] >> Thomas: I live for when he

smiles and runs into my arms like that -- just a happy little

boy excited to see his dad.

When we got back, I-I didn't know if he'd ever be that boy

again.

But here he is, you know?

He's playing, excited to see some bugs, you know?

>> Hope: [ Chuckles ] >> Thomas: That's all because of

you.

I can't express how much that means to me, Hope.

>> Hope: Spending time with Douglas has been good for me,

too.

You know, it used to be for a while that being with Phoebe was

my only relief.

>> Thomas: Yeah. You know, Steffy said that before she left

town.

>> Hope: Yeah. I miss them.

I really loved being able to hold Phoebe, getting that look

in her eyes.

It brought me peace.

And I could think about Beth without feeling any pain.

>> Thomas: Yeah. I think that's how Douglas feels when he spends

time with you.

>> Hope: Oh, I hope so.

[ Chuckles ] I mean, I re-- I really do.

My heart breaks for him and for your loss, too, Thomas.

And if being around me can help in any way --

>> Thomas: It does.

I don't think you realize how much.

You're a remarkable woman, Hope.

And that's what attracted me to you when we dated.

And I can see that's why Douglas gravitates towards you.

You have this remarkable goodness and sensitivity about

you.

>> Hope: [ Chuckles softly ] >> Thomas: [ Chuckles softly ]

>> Hope: Thank you.

>> Thomas: You know, you once said you felt safe with me...

and that's how Douglas and I now feel with you.

I'm so grateful for everything you've done for Douglas, helping

him through this really tough time, and...

I know it can't be easy for you.

I just -- I just wish that there was...

something I could do to repay your kindness...

to ease your suffering.

>> Quinn: The Fultons were such great people.

Shauna and I were such good friends.

We had so much in common.

You know, we were single moms raising our kids together.

And seeing Flo, it just -- it made me realize that I really

want to get back in touch with her.

>> Flo: I wasn't sure coming to L.A. was a good idea, and then I

ran in to you, and now this is --

>> Wyatt: Well, hey, look, look, if this is too much, we can

forget about the whole thing.

>> Flo: No, no, no, no, no, no.

I-I think -- I think it's time.

I just, um...

I think I should call my mom first.

>> Wyatt: Yeah.

>> Flo: Right? Yeah.

>> Wyatt: Why not?

[ Cellphone rings ] >> Shauna: Flo, honey.

>> Flo: Hi, Mom.

>> Shauna: Well, it's about time you called me.

>> Flo: Oh, we've been texting.

>> Shauna: A mother likes to hear her child's voice.

How's L.A.?

>> Flo: It's, um -- It's not exactly what I

expected.

I-I think I was a little naive, coming out here so quickly like

I did, but hopefully it turns out better than it started.

That's actually why I wanted to call.

Um, you will never guess who I ran into.

Wyatt.

>> Shauna: Wait.

Your Wyatt?

>> Flo: Mm-hmm.

>> Shauna: Oh, my gosh!

How is he?

>> Flo: He's great.

It's been really nice to catch up with him.

>> Shauna: Aww.

You were so in love.

Is that why you've been too busy to call me?

>> Flo: We've been hanging out a little bit, but, no, that's,

um...

that's not actually why I am calling.

Um...

do you remember, when Wyatt was younger, when his father died?

Well, apparently, his mom made it all up, and a couple of years

ago, Wyatt found out who he was, and...

it has completely changed his life, and, um...

it's got me thinking a lot about my dad.

>> Shauna: We don't talk about him, honey.

>> Flo: I know we don't, Mom, but why?

>> Shauna: Flo, you need to trust me.

There is no place in your life for that man.

>> Flo: Does he know about me?

Did he even know that you were pregnant?

Mom, I-I am an adult.

I can handle it.

I understand that sometimes people let us down and we do

things we regret, but you can't just --

>> Shauna: Weren't you happy?

Didn't I give you everything you needed?

>> Flo: Yes, Mom, y-you did, but that -- that's not why I'm

asking.

>> Shauna: You didn't need him when you were little.

You don't need him now.

>> Flo: Mom, I'm not gonna judge you.

I love you.

>> Shauna: I love you, too, baby, but you need to drop this.

Don't go looking for your father.

It'll be a mistake.

>> Flo: Are you ashamed?

Is -- Is that what it is?

I mean, you don't have to feel that way around me, Mom.

>> Shauna: We'll talk soon.

>> Flo: M-Mom.

[ Cellphone beeps ] [ Sighs ]

>> Wyatt: What happened?

>> Flo: The same thing that happens every single time I ask

her about my dad -- she shuts me down.

>> Wyatt: Even after all this time?

>> Flo: Yeah. It's...

>> Wyatt: Look...

I don't want to put you guys in, like, a bad spot, all right?

I mean, obviously, she has her reasons to keep him from you and

everything, but...

it's like you said.

You're not a -- You're not a kid anymore.

You're an adult.

And if you want to know who your father is -- like, if that's

what you want -- your answer could be right

there.

But, look, it's totally up to you.

It's whatever you want to do.

>> Flo: You know, I've, um...

I've lived my whole life with this question hanging over my

head, and I've -- I've tried to ignore it and let my mom push it

under the rug, but...

I think it's time.

I want to find out who my dad is.

>> Wyatt: Okay. Yeah.

>> Flo: And you -- you know what this means to me.

I've, um -- I've spent so much time trying to convince myself I

didn't need to know, that, you know, I know who I am, I don't

need this, but...

the thing is, lately I've been, um...

I've been wondering about that...

about me...

whether this whole trip to L.A.

was a mistake, but...

I'm starting to think that maybe it wasn't.

And, um...I think it's the time.

I think you're right.

I think -- I think I want to find out who my dad is.

it may change my life.
