this atypical pneumonia
appears to be
caused by a virus.

Right now, that's all
the world's experts know.

We're trying to treat
and control an outbreak.

We don't know the enemy
we're fighting.

We don't know
what this virus is,

how it is transmitted,

and in that vein,
I have a question
for the deputy minister.

Is the Government willing
to fund the team of experts

necessary to combat
this outbreak?

The Province is behind
this effort 100%.

were reported in Toronto,
all of them children.

5 children who may have SARS,

the youngest patients

through the hospitals
in Vietnam and Hong Kong.

What I wanna know
is what we can do

to ensure that the people
who work here are safe.

Only half a dozen people
are sick, Amy.

are very sick.
And two are dead.

There's no diagnostic data
and nobody's responding
to medication.

Both Eileen and Joanne
have the same symptoms
