and he's nine years old.

He's been on the team for seven years now.

He found the missing body in Gangjin.

These dogs have gone on almost 300 missions last year...

to find human bodies dead or alive.

almost 200 to 300 manpower.

There are only 17 scent hounds...

(There are 17 scent hounds countrywide.)

(Scent hounds have helped us in the area of forensic science.)

He's definitely a star.

On November 2012, Leo was appointed to...

Busan Metropolitan Police Agency forensic team.

He was the first ever scent hound in Korea.

He was deployed 147 times,

and his trip was a total of 315 days.

He undertook the task of...

searching for the missing person, and criminal investigation.

I was appointed here in 2013,

to the forensic team.

So he is a year ahead of me.

(Leo is a big senior of the team.)

This picture was taken on Leo's first mission,

when he was on the SWAT team...

as an explosive detection dog.

On the murder case in 2016,

Leo was the one that found the victim's body.

On the arson case in 2016,

he had found the arsonist...

who was hiding.

He caught the actual criminal?

I think he did.

On the missing case in 2018,

the scent hounds including Leo had found the body...

in 8 days after the incident,

helping us solve the case.

This is Leo's best friend,

Larry, who's at Daegu Police Agency.

Larry was bitten by poisonous snake,

while searching for a missing body and had died on the job.

(He died of snake venom on the job in 2018.)

These scent hounds...

get bitten by poisonous snakes, and stung by bees,

sometimes they get hurt from a fall during missions.

On November, 2012,

of the seven scent hounds of the primary group,

four of them passed away from diseases.

And one died on a searching job,

while the other one had retired this January.

Leo was the longest one to serve,

and he's the last one to retire.
