Hi, I'm Kristen Bell and happy holidays.

I have been waiting for this moment all year long

and it is finally time to kick off my favorite season.

Do you like my place?

I call it magic chic and decorating is a snap.

[ Snaps fingers ]

Tonight I have the honor of telling you

a holiday tale for the ages.

It's actually pretty spectacular.

Ooh!

That's actually the name of the book --

"The Wonderful World of Disney Holiday Spectacular."

Would you look at that? [ Clearing throat ]

Let's begin with how it all started.

"Once upon a time,

there was a boy named Walt Disney

who had an imagination that took him to magical places.

As he grew up, he made those dreams come to life.

He made the magic real.

When Disneyland was born, the magic took on a life of its own.

And that magic is at its most powerful during the holidays.

But how does Disney make the happiest place

on Earth even happier?

How can they make the most magical place on Earth

even more magical?

Tonight, two very special people will be given

the secrets to the Disney holidays.

Will they be able to harness the Disney magic

and light up every park, every land,

and every corner of the world?"

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to find out.

Magic Kingdom Park is already magic.

Now, how do we make the most magical place on Earth

even more special?

Well, we call in the experts, of course.

But you know what?

We need someone who can pull it together fast.

Mickey Mouse?

Well, someone who everyone loves.

Well, someone who really knows what it means

to bring the holidays to life.

I lent someone the glass slipper once

and it took me forever to find it again.

to do at Disney Parks during the holidays?

Oh, my gosh. Everything. I love being here.

In fact, one of my first experiences and memories

was when I was 7 years old, running through the fountains,

and I got to perform for the first time ever at Disneyland

at 7 years old.

Pretty cool. Very cool, very cool.

Mine -- We make it a tradition to come here

for my son AJ's birthday every year.

We do it as a family. We have the best time.

I mean, it's Disney.

It's the greatest experience we could ever have you know?

-Yes, it is.

And tonight we're helping make so many more moments

for so many families and friends.

Yes, we are.

I celebrate the holidays with family and a lot of cooking,

a lot of cooking and baking

and watching a lot of Christmas movies.

We like to cook together,

make some beautiful meals, spend a lot of time together,

and listen to some great Christmas music.

I celebrate the holidays with my favorite people here,

and we go on a Christmas tour every year,

and it's actually my favorite.

and so much more.

It's a Christmas gift to Alfonso and Julianne

My favorite Disney memory is coming with my parents.

And honestly, the little autograph books.

And I know that you all still do them,

and that makes my heart very happy --

getting all the signatures of all the characters.

I grew up watching a ton of Disney films,

so I have so many great memories,

but I think today, like, just being

in this, like, Disney World,

this is my favorite memory by far.

You know, one of my very first memories

of when I was a little kid,

I have this video of me at age maybe 5 singing

"True heroes embody the meaning of the holidays

and make holiday magic every day.

This family brings some joy to children when they need it most.

Hailing from a far-off land known as New Jersey,

the Demma family.

My name is Giuliana.

I'm in ninth grade.

In my free time, I really enjoy sewing.

My cousin Giada,

when she was 10 months old, she was diagnosed with cancer.

Giada was diagnosed with medulloblastoma brain cancer.

They were pretty much living in the hospital for nine months

as she was undergoing treatment.

Melissa: It felt like a nightmare.

Giuliana: When I saw her in the hospital,

she was wearing, like, drab, really big hospital gowns.

I noticed that this was an issue.

Giuliana said, "What if I sew a hospital gown for Giada?"

G's Giving Gowns started

when Giuliana was in sixth grade.

Giuliana: It began with sewing a hospital gown for a girl

from the cancer community.

And then it just kept spreading from, like,

word of mouth through social media.

Joseph: As the cause grew

and we had more and more requests come in,

it was her leadership skills that made her decide,

how do I make this bigger?

Let's put workshops together.

Let's recruit other people in our community.

Audrina: The gowns have like, fun, bright patterns,

happy stuff, like rainbows, smiley faces.

Giada: It makes them really happy

because they could have hospital gowns that they really love.

Giuliana: Now we've donated over 2,000 gowns

across 41 states and internationally,

and Giada is cancer free and she's doing good.

Most girls her age would not even consider,

"How could I help my cousin?

How could I help pediatric cancer patients?"

Giuliana does it from her heart.

Joseph: It makes us proud to be parents,

to have a heartfelt moment when she sees a child suffering,

what we could do to help them not only individually,

but as a community, as a family.

Vanessa: We have all of Giuliana's friends

and volunteers here today.

Disney is surprising Giuliana for all her hard work.

They had a quilt custom made with Mickey patches.

We're gonna surprise her and she's gonna be so excited,

and she's gonna be even more excited

that she gets to go with her cousin.

I think they're gonna be, like, shocked

when they come in and they're gonna freak out

that they're going together.

Giuliana, for all you do for kids across the world,

Disney Parks would like to invite you and our family
