The last time America held a military parade, it marked victory in the Gulf War.

Now, President Trump wants to put on his own show.

attended the Bastille Day parade in Paris last year.

It's one of the greatest parades I have ever seen.

I don't know, we're going to have to try and stop it.

Now he's got the Pentagon in planning mode.

The white House says a military parade

would be a show of respect to former and serving American troops.

Others are already drawing comparisons to Kim

Jong UN's missile parades in North Korea several times a year.

The precision show of force plays out as the dictator's warning to the world.

Anytime you are staging a massive military event,

you can come across as over militarized and over authoritarian.

President Kennedy included military equipment in his inaugural parade

in 61, a fine demonstration of military precision.

So did Harry Truman.

Now, November is shaping up as the likely month to host a new parade

for a new generation of troops.

Donald Trump has long called claims

of a Russian conspiracy to help him into the white House a hoax.

We'll use less sanctions on Russia.

But with his Justice Department laying charges,

the questions are becoming harder to ignore.

The defendants posed as politically and socially active Americans,

advocating for and against particular candidates.

They established social media pages and groups

to communicate with unwitting Americans.

According to the investigation led by special Counsel Robert Mueller,

the accused operated on a monthly budget of well over $1 million.

These pro-Trump rally allegedly one of the results

the Russians also recruited

and paid real Americans to engage in political activities

from political campaigns and staged political rallies.

One of those charged does catering for the Kremlin and is known as Putin's chef.

But there's no evidence President Putin was involved.

From President Trump Russia started the anti US

campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for president.

The results of the election were not impacted.

The Trump campaign did nothing wrong.

No collusion.

There's no vindication simply because you're not mentioned.

The investigation into meddling and potential collusion by Team

Trump continues.

One of the theories behind Donald Trump's election win was that

Russia had helped him win,

that President Putin had launched a campaign

to influence the election

and became the subject of conspiracy theories,

and also eventually a special counsel investigation.

That special counsel

investigation found that, yes, indeed, Putin had attempted to interfere

in the election and had attempted to help Donald Trump win.

In fact, it was a massive campaign, but it found that

there were no links that they could find to Donald Trump's campaign.

All the president himself.

This is the Russian troll factory, where US investigators claim bloggers

were paid to spread false information and incite hatred in America.

From their headquarters in Saint Petersburg.

They organized these 2016 rally in the Texas city of Houston

with the Nazis. Now, a small group of

anti-Islamic protesters picket a muslim community center.

According to the US indictment, the Russians had a strategic goal

to sow discord in the US political system.

US investigators say the operation was bankrolled

by a close friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He's denied any guilt, but at the moment, Russia's foreign minister

also dismissing the indictment as blabber, not facts.

But American officials say the evidence is clear, with the FBI indictment.

The evidence is now really incontrovertible

and available in the public domain.

It's our sovereign right

to be able to

conduct our elections unfettered.

Period.

From President Trump today, a string of tweets defending himself,

saying there was no collusion.

But he failed to condemn the Russian plotters.

Imagine if FDR

had denied that the Japanese attacked us at Pearl Harbor and didn't react.

That's the equivalent.

So Trump's tough new tariffs 25% for steel.

It'll be 10% for aluminum.

Have sparked an international outcry and threats of retaliation.

We are impressing upon the American administration

the unacceptable nature of these proposals, with unfair measures

that put thousands of European jobs at risk.

There's concern Trump's policy could eventually lead to a trade war

if China decides to return fire, which economists warn could cost

Australia dearly.

We estimate a loss of 20,000 jobs

in Australia, some in construction, some in mining, some in retail.

But the president has tweeted trade wars are good and easy to win.

Malcolm Turnbull lobbied for Australia to be exempt from the tariffs

during recent talks in Washington, after receiving an assurance last year

that Australia's steel and aluminum exports to the US would be spared.

But a phone call from the trade minister this weekend to hold the United States

to its commitment could fall on deaf ears, with senior white House

officials insisting no allies will be excluded.

My guess would be

that Australia will not be successful in being excluded from the tariffs.

Donald Trump is also warned of further trade action, tweeting

we will charge other countries the same thing as they charge us.

Further escalating tensions and potentially this is very damaging for

world trade.

And that would be very bad for economic growth in Australia.

The new tariffs will be signed off next week.

But the

looming trade war sparked by President Donald Trump is no laughing matter.

People have to understand our country on trade has been ripped off

by virtually every country in the world, whether it's friend or enemy.

He's staring down pressure from congressional Republicans

to abandon his threat to Jack up tariffs on imported steel and aluminum.

No, we're not backing down.

Which means despite the special bond celebrated at the white House

just ten days ago, 100 years of mateship make ship.

a better deal for America in its NAFTA trade talks with Canada and Mexico.

And if he succeeds, might back down.

Although predicting what this president will do is a fool's game.

Trump's Commerce secretary, Wilbur Ross, isn't sure if he says something different.

It'll be something different.

Labor says it will support a trade war with the US if necessary,

but the government is decidedly cool on that idea.

One part of the will my might want to move into protectionism.

We don't.

Hoping the Trump threat

is only NAFTA bluster.

The porn star, the president and the payout.

It reads like a gossip magazine headline.

Her lawsuit states that she had an intimate relationship with the president.

But let's not bother to be delicate.

Did she have a sexual relationship with the president? Yes.

An alleged relationship.

Stormy Daniels agreed to keep quiet in exchange for $130,000.

Now she's suing the president to have the hush agreement torn up.

She believes it's important that the public learn the truth

about what happened.

Daniels signed the contract just a week and a half before the election.

But she claims President Trump didn't, making it invalid.

Trump's attorney says he facilitated the six figure payout.

Does he know about the payment at the time?

Not that I'm aware of.

And again, anything beyond what I've already given you,

I would refer you to the president's outside counsel.

If the case wasn't murky enough, it's now been revealed.

Trump's lawyer also obtained a restraining order here in Los Angeles

just last week, stopping Daniels from speaking about the alleged affair.

Legal experts say the fact

she accepted the money in the first place could weaken her case.

As sex scandals swirl, the president walks away.

But Donald Trump can't shake off this prime time confession.

I know it's a wrong thing to do.

Playmate Karen McDougal claiming she had a ten month affair with the now

president starting in 2006 when Trump was married.

The white House has dismissed the allegations as completely untrue

and fake news.

But miss McDougal isn't the first woman to come forward with a claim like this,

and she won't be the last.

Former porn star Stormy Daniels is set to tell her

story of an alleged affair in a tell all interview this weekend.

Her lawyer taunting Donald Trump with a mysterious DVD saying

if a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is this worth?

What I've said is it is a warning shot.

Knowing the personal and professional stakes are high.

As hundreds of desperate

Syrians fled their besieged city of Duma,

Donald Trump's first strike came on Twitter

a tirade against Russia, which has vowed to shoot down any missile fired at Syria.

Get ready Russia, because they will be coming nice and new and smart.

You shouldn't be partners with a gas killing animal who kills his people

and enjoys it.

The so-called animal is Syria's president Bashar al-Assad,

blamed for the latest chemical attack on his own people, leaving 70 dead.

This is a shocking attack yet again, a war crime by the Syrian government.

The British prime minister

gave his strongest indication yet she would support military action.

The use of chemical weapons cannot go unchallenged.

Despite his furious tweeting President Trump is unlikely

to launch airstrikes without first securing support

from here in Britain and in France, and the countries are reportedly

still discussing details of the size and timing of military action.

Even the president's own defense secretary wants more time.

We're still assessing the, the intelligence, ourselves

and our allies. We're still working on this.

There is no advantage to revealing that a strike is coming

and there is no advantage in taunting Russia.

Russia says it does not participate in Twitter diplomacy.

But Donald Trump says relations between the two countries are now

the worst they've been and likely to deteriorate further.

This time, our allies and we have struck harder.

The Assad regime was the military target.

The political target is much broader to Iran and to Russia.

I ask what kind of a nation wants to be associated

with the mass murder of innocent men,

women and children?

The nations of the world can be judged by the friends they keep.

Even this week, the Russians vetoed a resolution

at the UN Security Council, which would have established

an independent investigation into the Duma attack.

Australia fully supports

the US led strikes against chemical weapons facilities in Syria today.

We were not asked to participate in this particular action, and

I won't engage in hypotheticals about what is and could be.

In 2013, Russia promised the world

it would guarantee the elimination of Syria's chemical weapons.

Assad's recent attack

and today's response are the direct result

of Russia's failure to keep that promise.

But more secrets are certainly on the line.

It was a

message from a dictator the world never thought would come.

From April 21st, North Korea will stop nuclear tests

and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

I have to say, I am really, almost speechless here

at the pace at which North Korea has done this U-turn, a stunning backdown

announced through his state run media trade leader Kim Jong UN quoted

saying he would shut down a nuclear test site in the country's northern side

to guarantee transparency in suspending nuclear tests.

The dictator is due to meet with South Korea's president in six days,

then a historic summit next month with President Trump,

who tweeted tonight this is very good news for North Korea and the world.

Big progress.

Look forward to our summit.

Little rocket man progress after months trading personal insults,

perhaps they both came to their senses and said maybe it's time for negotiations.

If that's the case, it's good for everybody.

Others are watching with wariness.

This is, after all, Kim Jong UN, who's a cunning political player

who's in there to last through and endure.

North Korea carried out 24 missile tests

last year, as well as its biggest nuclear test to date.

Since coming into office, Donald Trump has kept his own military options

on the table while also hitting the rogue nation

with round after round of financial sanctions.

We have asked the North Korean regime to choose the path of peace,

and if they do, we would welcome them back into the community of nations.

South Korea delivered

news of a diplomatic breakthrough on the white House lawn last month.

This week, the president announced he'd already dispatched his CIA director

to North Korea to lay the groundwork for their face to face meeting.

Got along with him really well. Really great.

The questions now, who will host the leaders and will they make a deal?

We the media became a favorite target of Donald Trump.

And I think we're perhaps with the the scapegoat.

Any time that he thought the spotlight was turning on him, he'd quickly

turn it back on to the journalists many times.

I was sitting at standing at the back of the room at his, gathering.

He would call us the most despicable people in the world,

you know, fake news, mainstream media.

It was a favorite attack line of Donald Trump.

And it certainly became a favorite of his fans.

Any time you'd go anywhere, to cover Donald Trump, his supporters

would certainly let you know that they were not fans of us and media.

As white House reporters let their hair down in Washington, so did Donald Trump.

Only a different Washington.

Choosing instead to hold a rally in his voter heartland of Michigan.

I'd much rather be in Washington, Michigan than in Washington, DC.

Snubbing the white House.

Correspond one's dinner for the second year,

running in protest against what he calls the fake news media.

I could be up there tonight smiling

like I love where they're hitting you shot after shot.

These people, they hate your guts.

This is Trump country, a town that was pivotal in making him

The North's most famous newsreader proclaimed the words once thought

This morning, Trump was briefed by South Korea's President Moon.

He gives us tremendous credit, gives us all the credit.

Donald Trump might be able to claim more credit if his proposed

summit with Kim Jong UN goes ahead with some success.

While the time and place is still being finalized,

experts are urging caution and patience.

He can't look for an easy and early victory

because this may be a several year long process.

Trump insists he'll do it his way.

I may go in, may not work out. I leave.

Long suspected, but never proven.

Iran lied.

Israel's prime minister claims this is all the evidence the world needs.

More than 100,000 documents and files reportedly

found in a secret Iranian bunker.

Iran is brazenly lying

when it says it never had a nuclear weapons program.

If true, it would be a serious breach of the deal signed in 2015.

What's happening today has really shown that I've been 100% right

with his decision on whether to pull out of that deal less than a fortnight away.

Trump denies doing so would send a poor message.

One of the many agreements

Donald Trump promised to tear up was the Iranian nuclear deal,

which basically allowed Iran to escape sanctions

if it limited its nuclear testing and its nuclear stockpile.

Donald Trump wasted no time carrying out that threat.

He tore up the deal.

He said it was a bad deal, that it didn't bring peace

and never would be a sign of the tensions to come.

Minutes before

Donald Trump revealed his decision, Israel installed its Iron

Dome anti-missile system and opened air raid shelters.

Fears Iranian forces inside neighboring Syria were preparing to launch an attack

in reprisal.

To this, the United States will withdraw

from the Iran nuclear deal.

Fulfilling an election promise to pull out of the 2015 agreement.

It's a bad deal.

It was a terrible deal.

Horrible, horrible, horrible Iran deal.

Donald Trump claims he has proof Iran was pushing ahead

with nuclear weapons, even though his own intelligence leaders repeatedly agreed

the regime was in compliance with the deal.

America will not be held hostage to nuclear blackmail.

We will not allow American cities to be threatened with destruction.

Both the French and German presidents had made personal pleas

to Trump releasing this joint statement today.

It is with regret and concern that we take note of President Trump's decision.

Barack Obama, who signed the agreement, called it a serious mistake.

Iran today

promised to stick with the deal, but warned it could restart its nuclear

weapons program if the regime continues its nuclear aspirations.

It will have bigger problems than it has ever had before.

In just three weeks, the leader of the free world

and the North Korean dictator is set to meet.

But Donald Trump's not packing his bags just yet.

There's a very substantial chance that it won't work out.

But Singapore sit down uncertain after Kim Jong un

last week threatened to pull out of the meeting altogether.

Today, South Korea's leader traveled to the white House

in an attempt to salvage the historic summit.

But saying there's a 99.9% chance it will go ahead.

Odds the secretary of State wasn't backing.

I'm not a betting man.

The president seeing China as the game changer.

I think that President XI is a world class poker player.

In an 11th hour public pitch to Kim Jong un, Donald

Trump committed to the future safety of the North Korean leader,

a dictator whose human rights abuses well-documented.

He will be safe.

He will be happy.

His country will be rich.

The white House already counting the cash.

Commissioning a coin to commemorate the meeting.

This one featuring a face to face Donald Trump and Kim Jong un.

As for the chances of that happening may not work out for June 12th.

Might as well flip a coin.

A high stakes meeting in a New York high rise,

and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo face to face with a sworn enemy.

Kim Jong un's right hand man who is carrying a letter from the dictator.

A letter is going to be delivered to me from Kim Jong un,

so I look forward to seeing what's in the letter. But,

it's very important to them.

Just one part of a frantic international dash towards a possible June 12th summit.

US diplomats are in North Korea

and a third American team in the host city, Singapore.

Our two countries face a pivotal moment in our relationship, in which

it could be nothing short of tragic to let this opportunity go to waste.

Kim Yong Chul is North Korea's chief spy

who sat behind a bunker Trump at the Winter Olympics.

He reportedly ordered the hack of Sony Studios for a film ridiculing Kim Jong un.

Now North Korea's top negotiator, he required special permission

to enter the US.

But is the North ready to give up its vast nuclear program?

Thousands of workers, hundreds of sites

in exchange for huge economic lifeline from the West.

The president now suggesting it could take more than one meeting.

That's going along very well.

But I want it to be meaningful.

It doesn't mean it gets all done at one meeting.

Maybe have to have a second or third, and maybe we'll have none.

Experts believe it could take 15 years to disarm North Korea.

US officials fear they could be setting Donald Trump

up for failure if the summit goes ahead.

But at this stage, they appear willing to take the risk

as the clock counts down

to his historic first meeting with the North Korean dictator.

Donald Trump's already looking forward to the second one.

Maybe we'll start with the white House. What do you think?

The president dangling an invitation and projecting

confidence ahead of Tuesday's Singapore summit.

I think I'm very well prepared.

I don't think I have to prepare very much.

It's about attitude.

It's about willingness to get things done.

Japan's Shinzo Abe showed his willingness today, an 11th hour

dash to the white House to make sure the allies were on the same page.

This will not be just a photo op.

This will be at a minimum.

Making clear what Washington wants Pyongyang to do.

They have to deny if they don't denuclearize,

that will not be acceptable.

President Trump says if he doesn't get that commitment on Tuesday, he's

willing to walk and potentially stiffen sanctions on North Korea if necessary.

Secretary of state Mike Pompeo, who's met twice

with Kim Jong un, thinks that won't be necessary.

He, has indicated to me personally that he is prepared to denuclearize.

A bold ambition, tried and failed by presidents before.

But it wasn't so I'll solve it.

Having made

few friends at the G7 summit in Canada,

Donald Trump jetted off hoping to make a new one in Singapore.

especially for Singapore, when these historic talks take place

Experts say it's likely North Korea will demand the US

cut back its military presence in South Korea

before they even consider giving up their nukes.

If there's an impasse, there could be an unlikely diplomatic savior.

Kim Jong UN wants to do something great

for his people, and he has that opportunity

The South Korean protesters aren't convinced.

They believe this is just more North Korean trickery.

The whole world is hoping

these peace talks don't become a real live pantomime.

Let us set an example for you.

This is how people are supposed to get along.

So this relationship

between North Korea and the US was going from bad to worse.

And suddenly it took a turn and they agreed to meet in Singapore.

The first U.S.

president to meet a leader, a dictator of North Korea.

I was there for that meeting. It was astonishing.

And from Name-Calling, Donald Trump would go on to say that,

they had fallen in love with, the letters that they had

exchanged, that he was a great leader and a great negotiator,

and that he had prevented war with North Korea.

It was just extraordinary to see a US president, a sitting US president,

standing side by side, shaking hands and being friendly

with the dictator of North Korea.

It was absolutely bizarre because they demanded that

Kim Jong un basically be kept out of the public eye.

He was so paranoid about being out in the West.

This meeting took place in a resort that had been barricaded off.

He had a huge entourage of dozens and dozens of vehicles, reportedly

including a toilet in one of the vehicles

because he was so frightened of assassination.

Donald Trump, after that meeting,

said he thought that he deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

They emerged from separate quarters on a veranda from a distance.

They closed in their first face to face encounter.

A 19 second walk before coming together.

It is a previously unthinkable moment, now being televised

live globally and then walking to a private meeting.

More smiles, handshakes, even laughter.

Translators followed

for the first media conference in front of selected journalists.

A new thing was gonna change.

I knew it, I was the only one.

I never had no one to hear me.

After 3.5 hours, the leaders emerged

a walk down the garden path after a successful lunch.

broccoli, plus sweet and sour pork for mains.

A really fantastic meeting.

Emboldened by the summit, both leaders have cut short their visit to Singapore,

flying home early to spruik their successes to their people.

But backslapping is easy, making it reality is tough.

In what looked like a prize revealing the gameshow,

doors opened and the leaders walked out to sign a document.

We had a historic meeting and decided to leave the past behind,

and we are about to sign a historic document.

The world will see a major change.

the people that you most distrust turn out to be the most honorable ones,

and the people that you do trust, they are not the honorable ones.

There is no timeline.

But under the deal, North Korea plans to dismantle its nuclear arsenal

after Trump agreed to make security guarantees to ease Kim Jong un's paranoia.

That means the end of military exercises on the Korean peninsula.

It's inappropriate to be having war games.

So, number one, we save money a lot.

And number two, it really is something that I think they very much appreciated.

Japan tonight says it needs more information.

Wanting those games to continue.

None of the details have been decided, but

we believe the military drills are vital for the security of North East Asia.

Pictures of the meeting haven't yet been broadcast in North Korea,

but this four minute propaganda video organized by Donald

Trump was shown and gifted to the dictator.

History is always involved,

and it makes Kim Jong un look like a hero.

If he chooses to destroy these weapons.

accusing Donald Trump of using his charity as a personal piggy bank.

The New York attorney general alleges the president and three of his adult

children used his private foundation for personal and political gain.

For over a decade, comparing the foundation to a checkbook for Mr.

Trump.

More nonsense, more nonsense.

They're saying there's misconduct of funds.

You don't think any of that is legit.

A timing couldn't be more coincidental, right?

Donald Trump senior took a similar response, proclaiming he won't settle this

case.

Back on North Korean soil to shake hands and shore up the commitment.

Secretary of state Mike Pompeo visiting Pyongyang for the third time.

The first since Kim Jong UN's historic meeting with Donald Trump.

The first time.

One more time catches him tweeting along the way, the president believes that

Chairman Kim sees a different, brighter future for the people of North Korea.

Kim Jong un promised to give up his nuclear arsenal.

Pompeo is mission now keeping him true to his word.

That, number one is a full declaration of your program

with an agreement to intrusive verification.

If you don't get that, you've got nothing.

Period.

The president at a rally in Montana overnight defended his art of dealmaking.

Remember, they said he's too tough.

He's going to cause a war.

controversy, insult, upset.

People either loved or hated Donald Trump.

There were very few people in between.

And to this day, that's the same.

You either love or you hate Donald Trump.

Donald Trump may have had trouble concentrating

on getting away.

not blaming those indicted yesterday, but his predecessor.

These Russian individuals did their work during the Obama years,

he tweeted, adding it had nothing to do with the Trump administration.

Democrats are calling for the upcoming summit with Vladimir Putin to be canceled.

Within a single hour.

Two of the president's men become felons.

Inside

a New York courtroom, stunning admissions from Donald Trump's former lawyer.

He worked to pay money to silence two women

who had information that he believed would be detrimental to the 2016

campaign money to adult film star Stormy Daniels and a Playboy model.

Stormy Daniels, claims she had a one year relationship with Donald Trump

back in 2006, after Donald Trump had married his wife, Melania.

Donald Trump's right hand man, his lawyer, his fixer Michael Cohen,

reportedly paid Stormy Daniels $130,000

to keep quiet during the election so that it wouldn't hurt his chances.

Donald Trump still denies, by the way, that he had an affair with Stormy Daniels.

He often calls her her horse face.

Michael Cohen would end up going to prison

for three years for that $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels,

because it was decided it violated election finance laws.

In the end, Michael Cohen would turn on Donald Trump.

So once his greatest protector, his fixer,

his lawyer would end up becoming his greatest enemy

and something that Donald Trump is still battling to this day.

The president's made it clear how he feels about the mainstream media.

When you want to kick out someone.

But now he's taken aim at social media

to Google and Twitter and Facebook.

They're really treading on very, very troubled territory,

and they have to be careful.

The most powerful man in the world admits he's googled himself,

but he doesn't like what he's found, tweeting the search engine is rigged

so that almost all stories and news is bad.

The white House warning it's exploring regulating the tech giant.

that that US jobs would come back.

The jobs that had gone over to China would end up coming back

to the US, whether he's successful or not.

That's a big question.

But that was the motive.

Donald Trump was all about protecting

American jobs and American industry.

He's chaired board meetings, cabinet meetings.

And today, Donald Trump wielded the gavel for his first UN Security Council meeting

order after savaging Iran 24 hours earlier today.

China was in the crosshairs.

China has been attempting to interfere

in our upcoming 2018 election.

They do not want me or us to win,

because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade.

Sitting only three seats away, shrugging his shoulders,

China's foreign Minister Shita Khawaja.

We refuse to accept any unwarranted accusations against China.

President Trump followed up with a tweet posting newspaper clippings

critical of US trade policies, labeling it Chinese propaganda.

Later, in front of the world's media, he changed tack.

China has total respect for Donald Trump and for Donald Trump's

very, very large a brain.

A verbal attack like this on a global stage has made it

clear the US considers China a threat to American democracy.

Interference denied by the Chinese but supported by the president's

intelligence chief.

The Chinese government uses all of the capabilities at their disposal

to influence U.S.

policies, spread propaganda, manipulate the media, and pressure individuals.

An ongoing trade war and a new war of words.

It's been

so long since the white House held a press briefing.

They had to dust off the podium, all in preparation for a big announcement.

The president has received a letter from Kim Jong un.

An invitation for a second summit.

The president has achieved tremendous success with his policies so far.

And this letter was further evidence of progress in that relationship.

But senior US officials have found evidence to the contrary.

The construction of up

to eight new nuclear weapons and new structures to hide them.

They'll be completed this year.

Despite Kim's promise to denuclearize at the last summit.

But the intelligence community is saying they're building more.

We don't know where they are.

We don't know how many there are.

There's no specific agreement as to how that's going to be defined.

Just yesterday, Donald Trump publicly thanked Kim Jong un for his commitment

to denuclearization, saying that the pair would, quote, prove everyone wrong,

adding that there's nothing like dialog between two people who like each other.

That dialog is set to continue.

We are open to and are already in the process of coordinating that.

It started off rocky. Threats of war.

Name calling.

tumultuous relationship between the US President and North Korea's

supreme leader has crossed into supremely bizarre territory.

When I did it and I was really being tough, and so was he.

And we were going back and forth.

And then we fell in love. Okay.

Now, really, he wrote me beautiful letters, and they're great letters.

We fell in love.

But it may be unrequited.

At the UN General Assembly a day

earlier, the North Korean foreign minister told world leaders

they won't dismantle their nuclear weapons if they can't trust Washington.

So let me just.

But the problem is that the continued sanctions are deepening our mistrust.

But Trump's administration won't consider lifting any sanctions

on North Korea until it surrenders its nuclear weapons,

bringing any progress towards the country's disarmament to a halt.

Trump's secretary of state will travel to Pyongyang next month

in the hope of setting up a second summit, more than three months

after their first meeting, a second date appears on the horizon.

would actually increased during Donald Trump's time in office,

because the whole world became fascinated with what this president would be doing.

He was certainly the most watched individual,

the most watched politician in the world.

And that helped journalism.

I think the rest of the world, Australia included, became fascinated

in American politics like they'd never been fascinated before.

We were concerned by what Donald Trump was doing,

the decisions he would make because you'd never know what was coming next.

So all of a sudden, people in Australia, people right across the world,

were tuning in to this president to see what on earth he was going to do next.

It was the allegation that undermined the Clinton campaign.

Think she should be in jail for what she did with her emails,

a war cry that's now left Donald Trump eating his words.

Ivanka did some emails.

The first daughter under investigation for violating federal records rules

by using her personal email account to conduct government business.

They were classified like Hillary Clinton.

They weren't deleted.

Like Hillary Clinton, who deleted 33.

She wasn't hiring.

I think the pressure of the job

is much more than what he thought it was going to be.

You guys all know that Michael Cohen was also convicted of lying to Congress,

US officials say ISIS has lost 99% of its territory.

the stake we have basically turned

the country over to Russia and to an even greater extent, Iran.

If Trump withdraws from Syria and they do come back, like I think they will,

he'll be one of the reasons I came back.

The Defense Department says troops will remain in

neighboring Iraq and continue their results from the year.

It was a surprise appearance for

the commander in chief in Iraq.

In secret, with smiles, selfies and a show of thanks

to the 5000 troops for what he calls the near elimination of Islamic State.

They were very dominant.

Today, they're not so dominant anymore.

But allies in the region are worried

who will be dominant now after Trump's sudden move to pull U.S.

troops out of Syria?

These troops in Iraq told they would now be the ones taking on ISIS.

Should anything happen, we can hit them so fast and so hard they will.

They really won't know what the hell happened.

I had concerns for the institution of the presidency

because not for myself personally.

Sometimes violence.

It wasn't the America that I'd grown to love.

I felt like it was tearing itself apart.

Despite a still day in the Capitol, the political winds of change were strong.

Democrats taking control of the lower house for the first time in eight years.

We're now entering a period of divided government.

The 116th House of Representatives, the most diverse ever,

with the most women leading the charge of regulations.

Madame Speaker Nancy Pelosi taking the gavel for a second time.

Two months ago, the American people spoke and demanded a new dawn.

America's first female speaker back again to the third

highest position in the land, co-equal to the presidency.

The sign of change at the Capitol.

Signifying a new reality at the white House.

I am here today to break the logjam and provide Congress with a path forward

to end the government shutdown and solve the crisis on the southern border.

He's offer extended legal status with 300,000 refugees

and for young undocumented immigrants brought to the US illegally as children.

In return, he wants funding for his border wall.

But it now doesn't have to be concrete or complete.

This is not a 2000

mile concrete structure from sea to sea.

These are steel barriers in high priority locations.

Donald Trump says his offer is a common sense compromise

that both sides of politics should embrace.

But before he'd even announced it, the Democrats had rejected it.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi labeling the plan a nonstarter,

claiming his proposal is nothing new and has already been rejected.

With the stalemate set to continue.

Both sides will return to Washington on Tuesday, which is coincidentally

the payroll deadline for 800,000 workers set to miss another paycheck.

So we don't know whether Donald Trump will get a second term in office.

But I guess what

we do know is we've had a sample of what the first term is like.

And if he does get into power, will he be even more unconventional?

Will he throw off the shackles that were applied to him?

Because there are still people

who tried to keep him on a path and not let him stray too far?

Will he throw off those shackles?

Will he be more unpredictable?

So Donald Trump, as unpredictable as he was in his first term,

what's the second term going to look like?

Will there still be adults in the room to keep him on the path?

Will he throw all those so-called adults out

and have the enablers beside him so he can do what he likes,

when he likes, to whom he likes?
