Long ago, a group of martial artists who used their stealth and technique later became known

as ninjas.

Today, most people assume ninja is from Japan, when in reality, ninja originated in China.

But it was the Japanese whose technique and combined different styles that made it become

the iconic ninja.

My name is Jennifer Murphy.

I grew up out in Southern Oregon in the beautiful countryside.

I'm second to the oldest of 12 kids, 6 girls and 6 boys.

We loved building forts and climbing trees.

I even had a pony.

She bucked me off a lot, but I always got back on.

I was a hard worker.

I rolled up my sleeves and started climbing the corporate ladder.

I bought my first house at 21.

I then tried out to become Miss Oregon.

I had that entertainer in me.

And I won.

I went to Miss USA, made top 10, met Donald Trump that night.

I lost his business card so I had to try out with everyone else to get on my favorite show,

The Apprentice.

I got on the show, I flew to New York, I'm in Trump Tower.

It was incredible.

He offered me jobs even though I didn't win on the show.

But I had fallen in love with a guy in Hollywood, in LA, the dentist to the stars.

I felt like I had met my Prince Charming.

And I moved to LA and got married at Trump's Country Club.

Donald Trump came, Access Hollywood covered it, People Magazine.

And wow, I felt like Cinderella, living in this incredible mansion in Beverly Hills,

rubbing shoulders with celebrities, attending red carpets, flying on private jets.

It was incredible, bigger than my wildest dreams.

I got to do acting classes, I didn't have to work anymore.

I thought I had arrived.

Well, over time, I started to grow sad inside, depressed.

I didn't know what was going on with me though.

I thought, I have everything money can buy.

Why am I feeling like this?

And then I remembered, I had met Mother Teresa when I was a little girl, about seven years

old.

She was about my same height.

And she had told me, you have the love of God inside of you.

And you can spread joy to a lot of people.

And I studied her work and I saw what she and the Sisters of Charity would do for the

poorest of the poor.

And it reminded me that I had a purpose.

And my purpose was more than about me.

It was about in giving we receive.

And I realized I had become selfish and off track.

I rarely saw my family.

I felt invisible to my own husband.

And I realized I needed to make some tough decisions.

I needed to start over.

So I did.

I got a divorce.

Right at the same time, the real estate market crashed and I lost all of my finances.

My cell phone got turned off.

I thought, oh my goodness, is Miss Oregon going to end up under a bridge?

Well, I called my dad from a pay phone and I said, Dad, I'm so sorry.

I've made some really poor decisions and will you have me back?

And he said, Jenny Jo, you're my little girl, of course.

And I said, just loan me some money for a plane ticket.

He said, no, I'm coming right now to get you.

I want to remember the day when I rescued my little girl.

I started to see a vision, a character, a ninja.

I really want one.

Every ninja has a sword.

Please, will you make me one?

I don't want to make a tool for killing people.

While waiting one year, the go-girl, Jen, decided to make a YouTube-style movie.

it was fall and i started hitting the rocks as i was going through the rapids i went around quite

a few riverbends and until i finally saw the gold hill bridge where i knew there were usually people

i was saying julie very help and they pulled me under the raft brought me to the shore sat me down

and juliana asked what did the rocks whisper i told her they said go with the flow at one point

my song took off

hi when i was an orphan
