We are talking about love,

what it isn't and what it is.

What we do know is we know that it's not what we see in movies,

and it's definitely not what we see on social media.

It's also not other surface material,

things like adult only physical relationships is not love.

Talking on the phone 24 7,

not love. Laying up in bed all day,

not doing anything, not love.

Might sound fun. Going on dates,

getting all dressed up solely to take pictures for Instagram.

Absolutely not love. What love is,

is somebody who sees you the worst side of you,

knows you, sees the messiness,

how vulnerable you are.

They know all the things about you that you don't want anybody to know,

and they still love you exactly the same.

It's somebody who does things for you,

maybe when you can't, and you don't even have to ask them.

It's somebody who holds you and calms you down.

If you're pouring your heart out about something.

It's somebody that speaks up and tells you everything good about you,

even when you only see the bad.

It's somebody that makes sure you are okay.

Even if they didn't ask you to,

you didn't ask them to.

It's somebody who prays for you every day and night,

wishing nothing but the best for you,

even if you're not near them.

It's somebody who makes you laugh,

smile, and especially if you're feeling down.

That's their superpower for you.

That's love. That's real love.

It's not about the flashy moments.

It's about the little things and the deep connection that you make.

It's about the way that they show up for you.

It is. There's no expectations,

there's no external validation, right?

There's none of that that's happening.

There's no boundary breaking.

It's real love

and it's quiet and it's supportive and it's unconditional.
