that we get good news.

-Coming back to the ranch is the most comforting thing ever.

Ryder is feeling better. He's looking better.

And we want to show our dedication to Bob and Russell

and just also show everybody else that,

like, we do care about this job.

We got one final big week ahead of us.

There's work to get done.

-I'm just glad y'all came back. I had it set in my mind

y'all wasn't going to come back for us this season.

-Yeah, I didn't... -I didn't think I was.

-How are you feeling now?

-We're good. So, he's got a tumor.

They're not sure what it is yet. It's not cancer.

It's just right under his tongue in here.

Ryder is my beautiful son, you know.

He's become my best friend.

And like, he's what matters most to me in the world.

And Gabby cares about fishing like I care about my dog,

and she left her fishing tournament early

because she just wanted to be there for me.

And that meant the absolute world for me,

because I knew how much that meant to her,

and she literally forfeited to come home.

-Luckily, like, God is good.

Like, I fished the first day and I was in first place,

and I get a call from Chase saying he was like,

"I'm going to the hospital right now with Ryder."

I was like, "Lord have mercy."

Like, this cannot be happening when I'm gone.

Flew into Great Falls, and thank God I did.

Like, there's a reason why I came back early.

It was worth it.

I'm really glad that I came back from my trip early,

because I really didn't want him to go through that alone.

If the roles were reversed,

I would hope that maybe he would do something like that for me,

but I also understand that that would be a lot to ask.

I think he probably would, though.

A lot has happened since we've been gone.

-Oh, yeah. -Yeah.

-What the hell?

-When we were hanging out in the bunkhouse,

Jay said something.

-He brought up your dog. -Yeah, that's what happened.

-He was cracking jokes, and she didn't like that.

Told him to get up and leave. -Oh!

-It was very awkward for all of us.

Then he just starts laughing,

and then Carleigh gets even madder.

And she was like, "All right, that's it."

Walked off, got on the phone with Bob,

and she was like, "He's done."

Like, I'm telling him he's done.

-I guess it makes sense that he got fired.

Saying a joke about your dog dying

isn't really funny though, dude.

Like, if he made that joke about my dog,

I'd probably punch him in the face.

but this is my first vow renewal, so for me,

it feels exciting.

Have you guys been on a dude ranch before?

-No.

-Well, welcome. I'm glad to have you guys here.

Quickly, before we go on a little tour of the property,

I had some notes that were in your file

that I would like to go over with you guys.

So, you're here for a vow renewal, yes?

-Yes. -Okay.

-13 years, yes?

A vow renewal almost feels more special than a wedding.

These guests are entrusting us with their memories,

which are precious.

And so I want to make sure that we get it right

and we don't mess it up for them.

-I do have some wants and desires.

-Okay. -So if I could possibly have,

like, an aisle, you know, to walk down on.

-Okay.

-A bouquet of flowers, you know, nothing fancy,

but possibly something in blush. -Okay.

-And I really love the idea of -- I don't know

if I would come down on a horse or if we could leave,

like, on one horse or two horses,

but I love the idea of having the horses involved.

And do you have an officiant or someone

that could just say a few words

and, you know, be the master of ceremonies?

-I thought you were making me say words.

-I do not have an officiant on hand,

but I'm sure I can find one.

-Okay, if you could muster one up.

It doesn't have to be legal. We're already married.

-This couple's list is pretty extensive,

I'm not going to lie.

So we've got our work cut out for us, but I want to make sure

that we're able to give them what they want.

I'm not sure we can do everything on this list,

but we'll obviously do our best.

But it's also our last event of the season,

so we're going to have to work extra hard

to make sure that we pull it off.

Let's go ahead and take a quick look around the property,

get you guys a little more acquainted,

and we'll get you to your cabin. -Okay.

-It's great to be back at the ranch,

because, you know, I saw some of these folks

as they just began their tenure here.

And to see them really doing so well and fitting in

and embracing our culture and doing it the true ranch way

and finish strong.

Hats off to all of you getting great reports.

And you know, families come with goods and bads.

And that's kind of what dude ranches are.

You know, you live together, work together,

and you become that family that takes in friends.

So keep that going.

-I think that if you get the right people

and you give them the right opportunity

and you hand them the reins, they can do great things.

And I think this team did.

I am beyond proud of these guys.

-So I just want to talk about this last week of guests

and what's going on.

So we have a full house. We're still pretty jam packed.

We have a very lovely couple here.

They are renewing their vows.

They have a lot of requests

for what they'd like it to look like.

They're very in love with the horses.

They want the horses to be involved.

And just remember that in our last week,

we want to finish strong.

We want to treat everybody just as special as we did

when we first got here.

-Yes, ma'am. -Yes, ma'am.

-During the last week of closing a ranch,

it always feels like you're, like,

you know, you feel like you're free,

and everyone kind of just wants to,

like, go home and everyone's got, like, the jitters to go,

but we're just -- we're not quite done yet,

so we need to make sure we're on our A-game this week.

-Thank you for the hard work you've done for six weeks.

You are a family now,

and in some cases we even have some lovers,

and so, didn't see that coming,

but that's the way that it goes.

-Okay, don't have to talk about the lovers part.

-Why? [ Laughter ]

Well, I think it's great.

I think -- She thinks it's great.

So I mean... That's not a ring, is it?

-We got a week left, and this ranch

is closing down for the winter,

and it's time for me to kind of figure out,

you know, what's going to happen after this.

And I'm still up in the air.

I don't know what's going to happen.

I'm still making that decision.

You go back to Arizona?

-Yeah.

-I'm trying to get in to bronc ride.

-You really want to ride broncs?

-Yeah. I mean, I just found out I'm pretty damn sticky.

I've always known I was pretty good rider,

but being at this ranch, we have some pretty bronc-y horses.

And I've specifically realized on those ones

that I'm pretty good about staying on.

So it's kind of got me thinking,

like, maybe I should try bucking horses,

see what happens, maybe get my shot at rodeo.

Far worse places to go.

I'm not staying here, so... -You and Katie --

you're not chasing after Katie going to Fort Worth, is it?

-I'm not chasing her to Fort Worth, no.

Coincidentally, Katie lives in Fort Worth,

and that's where I want to go to rodeo,

so it kind of works out pretty well.

Now I want to go even more, obviously, but...yeah.

-Now you got a little bit more, uh, what's the right word?

-Motivation? -There you go.

-Me and Katie, we haven't really talked about our future.

Neither one of us came here looking for a relationship,

and here we are.

Hopefully, you know, stars kind of align.

-Everything's in Texas, including Katie.

If that's your lady, for the time being,

you know, I hope it stays that way.

-Yeah. Me too, man. She's sick.

-The last time we talked, it was a controversial decision,

this head wrangler decision.

Vern, she was the choice.

Was it the right choice? -Yes.

She came through with flying colors.

-Could she do the winter caretaker job?

I mean, you know, that's a job that's all about responsibility.

-Absolutely.

Here she is.

There is a winterization process,

both in the fields as well as with your equipment

as well as with your buildings.

-Hey, Vern. -Hey.

-How you doing? -I'm doing well.

How are you? -Good.

Why don't you sit right here? -Okay.

-We think that, with Vern's expertise,

she could be the caretaker that stays here.

We have something we would like to talk to you about.

So, Russell, you want to take it?

-Well, just that Bob was speaking really well of you

and the job you had done as head wrangler.

And we had some plans for the winter with the ranch closed,

and those have changed.

So we're looking for a caretaker.

-I have been thrilled with what you've done

the last several weeks and stepping up,

and your crew has responded. They have followed you.

I couldn't think of anybody better.

-Before we go too deeply into it,

is it something you'd at least take a look at?

-I would love to stay up here this winter.

It's definitely going to be different

not having everybody here,

but I have my dog, my horses, and I'm from Wisconsin,

so I'm not a stranger to the cold.

-Well, that's great.

That's one big worry off our list, so we're thrilled.

-It's been a great season for me.

They made me head wrangler,

and now they're asking me to stay on the ranch

and be their wintertime caretaker.

This is a really big deal because Montana winters

can be brutal, and we're so rural.

But this is another step of responsibility

that I'm so willing to take on.

-Bob'll hand you the keys and the mantle when he's ready,

and you'll be all set.

-And a gift certificate to get some long underwear.

-It's been a really stressful time this past week,

especially for Chase.

And he asked me to go up to the mountain

and decompress a little bit and relax, and I really...

I really like this guy. He's wonderful.

He's great.

-Imagine people actually having to hunt like this.

People did. And that must have sucked.

-You finally see the first deer of the season.

with, uh, leaving here, and, um...

Are you headed to Arizona right away?

-So Russell asked me to be the ranch caretaker this winter.

-You're going to bear the winter here?

-Well, I mean, I'm no stranger to the cold.

I'm from the north.

-It's going to be completely empty after...

and then you're by yourself. -I know.

-I have much respect for you for staying out here.

I'm impressed.

If they asked me to do it, I don't know if I could.

I'm not like a scaredy cat or anything.

But to be here alone, especially in the winter,

you have to have some balls to do that.

I mean, if I was at the ranch,

I'd probably go crazy talking to walls.

-I mean, I feel really honored that they're entrusting me.

-That's a lot of trust, for sure.

You're a wrangler, then you're like, head wrangler,

and now they're like, "Here are the keys."

-So your goal is to be head wrangler down there?

-Yeah, have the head wrangler position for sure.

Yeah, I've gotten a lot of experience and learn a lot from,

you know, seeing how you do things.

And hopefully that happens to me

and I'll be where you are.

have been really special

because when you know that something is coming to a close

possibly soon, it just makes you appreciate it even more.

So it's just been such a fun adventure with him here,

and I'm just enjoying every second,

because if it doesn't continue,

then I just want to appreciate what we have now.

where the sun sets, right?

Katie and I, in our flourishing sort of relationship

at this point, are the ones doing this.

I think that everything that happened between Katie

and I kind of spawned from me

being a bit nervous about it all.

and I go where it takes me.

So I'm starting to think after everything

we've experienced and what we're looking at now,

that it's maybe something that I really want.

establish that we have a good friendship above anything else.

-That's an incredibly important aspect of it.

I think that really kind of makes something go

from nothing to more.

And honestly, I mean that, I do. It's genuine.

It's like a middle school crush in a way.

It took us quite a while to get here,

-I think this ranching season has changed my perspective

on relationships a good bit.

It showed me the beauty of connecting so deep with somebody

and sharing your life with somebody

and how important that can be.

-When I came to Circle Bar to work as a wrangler,

the last thing I expected was to leave here

with feelings for somebody.

It's not what I intended coming in here.

and get into a long-term relationship.

I can't believe it's the last week of the season.

We're gonna go back to reality.

And my reality is, I met somebody on the ranch,

and now we're going back to Texas together.

I'm really excited to see where it goes.

-I'm going to meet Chase's family,

and I'm really nervous, but I'm really excited.

I'm really hopeful for the future with him.

I want this to work out for a long time.

I really like him, and I think he's so great.

-Tonight we're having a big farewell dinner

put on by Bob and Russell as a thank-you to all the staff.

It's great to celebrate with everybody,

but it is a bit bittersweet having to say goodbye.

Now we're going back to our regular lives.

I've gotten so used to seeing everybody.

You know, they become family.

I'm hopeful that I get to see a lot of people again.

and it feels bittersweet.

We bonded like family.

I'm gonna miss everybody I worked with

and their friendship, but I'm really excited

to get home and start my next chapter.

I've never really been with someone

who's been willing to make big decisions for me.

And so the fact that he's willing to,

you know, try things out in Fort Worth for a while

to see where this goes...

You know, the great thing about the ranch

is that you're with all your best friends 24/7.

But the bad thing about the ranch

is that you're with all of your best friends 24/7.

And so we just wanted some privacy

and to enjoy a little bit of time, just the two of us,

and to feel like we were in our own little private,

romantic cocoon.

-Things are finally starting to settle in with Katie,

and we're finally at a point where our relationship's

headed towards that next level.

And I think there could be a pretty good future for us

Throughout our time together,

she's taught me a lot about humility

and reflection of yourself,

and it's something that I don't think I was too aware of

before knowing her,

and I think she's taught me a lot in that regard.

I hold her in a very high respect for that.

This season has just flew by.

And, you know, I'm really gonna miss

This ranch has a personality of its own.

but leadership-wise,

having to build people up when they're down

and self-realizations.

So there's a lot of things I've taken away from this time here.

With Hunter, I think I've grown

throughout this whole experience,

learning how to forgive and move on.

it always shows a lot of strength

when someone's able to open themselves up to someone again.

This season's been really amazing.

I feel like I started off as the underdog

and really stepped into a leadership position
