Come on, David.
You gotta keep up if you wanna win
Red Light Stop, Green Light Go.
How can you run so fast
when it's so hot out?
Here they come!
Red light!
Close game,
but I think Mel wins.
Nice one, Mel.
Yah-ho! I love this game.
And I know someone else who would love it.
Hey, Barney!
Where is he?
Green light!
Here I am!
- And there I go! - Gonna catch ya!
- Here I come! Ah!
Whew! It's hot out here.
On second thought,
red light!
This Barney needs a break.
Who's with me?
How can you stop for a break
when this game is just getting good?
- That's easy.
I listen to my body. Ring, ring.
- Oh, look.
My body's calling me now!
Hey, body. What's happenin'?
You're feeling hot, too?
I oughta get some water.
Body says
it's time for a water break.
But we don't have tails.
Yeah. How do we listen to our bodies?
Hello? Elbow?
Anybody there?
Your body will give you lots of other hints
to tell you what it needs.
When you sweat, your body is losing water.
It might be telling you,
"I want more water."
I feel much better.
What's your body say, Mel?
It says I gotta do that.
Look at Billy's cool trick!
Alright!
I'm ready to play our light game again.
But I gotta get some wheels so I can learn Billy's trick.
Lights and wheels coming right up.
♪ Ah ♪ Ah!
- Oh, my wow! - Sweet!
There's even a spot for Super Mega Glowing Gary.
Knee pads and helmets for everyone!
Oh. [laughs] Whoops.
Let me just fix that.
This place is glow cool.
And that's where I can do the trick,
once I learn it, that is.
Ready. Set.
- Glow!
I just gotta keep practicing my jump.
Then I can get just as good as Billy.
Yes!
Red light! - Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
My poor little toesies are starting to feel sore.
which means it's time for some me time!
- Ring, ring!
Oh, hello again, body.
Tired toes?
- Oh, noes!
Body says it needs a toe rub, too.
- They are kinda sore. - Whew! Time for a toe rub.
Ouch.
You okay, Mel?
I don't speak toe,
but if I did,
I think yours might be saying,
"We want a break."
They're fine. I just wanna learn that move.
Now, my piggies are ready to par-tay!
Green light!
Ooh-hoo!
Hey, Barney?
Gary was wondering if we could do a blue light next.
It's his favorite color.
Ooh, blue,
like oceans and blue jays soaring
through a clear blue sky!
I love it.
There's one catch.
You have to tell us what the blue light means.
Well, it means
we do special handshakes.
Yes.
Uh, according to my tummy,
it's snack time.
Red light!
- My tummy's rumbling, too. - Oh, I could use a treat.
- Ring, ring! Hello? Hungry?
One of Grady's triple twist pretzels
- coming right up!
Let's go.
- Do you want a pretzel, Mel?
Not till I've mastered that move.
Well, if it isn't my favorite crew.
Let me guess.
You're here for my pretzels?
Yes, please.
And thank you.
Perfect pretzels!
So hungry!
Now that my belly's full,
I know which light is next--
the pink light.
Pink, like ballet shoes and sunsets
and blushing flamingoes carrying roses?
What a marvelous idea.
Pink light means it's dance time!
- Ooh. Uh-huh.
- Uh-huh. Yeah! Hey, Billy.
- Hey, Billy.
Just one more.
Hmm.
Red light!
Phew! My body sure could use a break after all that dancing.
Does anyone else need a quick break?
Not me. I've practiced a lotta jumping.
I must be able to do the move by now.
I know what light we can do next, Barney.
Orange light!
Ooh, orange!
Like tigers and pumpkins
and a tiger named Pumpkin.
I love it.
Orange means do a trick.
Here I go!
Oops.
- Uh, great trick, Mel. - What an interesting technique.
That wasn't the trick.
My jump was getting better,
but now, it's getting worse!
That sounds frustrating.
Do you want to talk about it?
I wanna keep going, Barney,
but my body just gave up! Why?
It's hard when our bodies won't do what we want.
Even dinosaurs have limits.
Not Billy.
His body always does what he wants.
How does he do it?
Well, why don't we ask him?
- Oh, Billy! - Hiya.
Billy, how do you get your body to do that cool trick?
Oh, which trick?
This one?
Wow. I just meant
that little jump you did earlier.
Oh, that!
That's a good one.
Yeah, and I kept practicing the move,
but now, my body won't do it at all!
To fix that,
you've got to do my favorite trick of all--
to listen to your body.
But my body doesn't even talk.
It may not talk,
but if you pay attention,
it's got a lot to say.
Like when my piggy toes felt sore,
they told me they needed a break.
They don't really talk.
My body told me it needed more water,
because it felt sweaty.
And after we stopped to stretch,
my body told me when it was ready to play again,
because it felt amazing!
You know what?
There's one more light I want to add--
a yellow light!
Ooh, yellow,
like sunshine and daffodils
and a bus full of lemons on their first day of school.
Let's do it!
So, what does a yellow light mean?
It means it's time to check in with our bodies.
