performers we just watched will be unmasked tonight.

alongside Goo, Buffalo, and Wasp in the quarterfinals.

The Golden Mask trophy is on the line, ladies and gentlemen.

Tonight is a celebration of all things Miley Cyrus,

one of the most prolific artists of our time.

Let's do this. We're kicking things off with Sherlock Hound.

Nick: So just how does his life mirror Miley's?

this reminds me of Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls.

Last week, he reigned supreme as an audience favorite.

Miley and I actually have a lot in common.

We both know the media can be totally uncool.

And this year, I've been part of a firestorm of press.

I finally felt ready to tell my truth to the world, and so I did.

And then instantly regretted it.

I imagined my words all over the news and internet, and totally freaked.

I begged them to pull my story. I didn't want it to run.

But that power was out of my reach.

The night it was released, I was a total disaster.

Frozen. But once I saw how may people could relate,

I felt the weight lift off my shoulders.

My story is out there, and I don't need everyone to understand me.

But I've worked hard to put that chapter behind me, which is what I wanted most.

And for those of you who do stand with me, thank you.

Because your support makes me feel like the sky's the limit.

but very brave to have come out, whatever that news was.

But then I also go into the fun names of, like, a James Franco.

accepting his Teen Choice Award in my head.

So it could be someone-- he's always in the news.

Last week, she kicked things off

with a showstopper performance.

But it turns out, this royal subject

has lots in common with paparazzi favorite Miley.

Let's get every juicy detail.

and just like she's had many chapters,

well, in my life, so have I.

Chapter two.

While I may be standing the a stage in shiny protective armor,

for so much of my life, I felt broken.

And she also happened to put out some country music, which is in the Nashville.
