Not only are we a full house

and we have to figure out, like, how to finish this off strong,

but there's going to be a lot of work to do.

We have a lot of guests on the ranch this week,

a little more than normal,

so the wranglers are going to have to step it up to make sure

that everybody's requests are met

and that all of the guests are happy.

We have three girls coming in,

and they're not necessarily for, like, the dude ranch thing.

They just know that this is like an adventure-style vacation.

They're adrenaline junkies.

They want to do something, you know, that's exciting and fun.

An adrenaline-filled experience.

-My mom calls me the Energizer Bunny.

I just have so much energy all the time.

Being the adrenaline junkie I am,

this is going to be right up my alley.

Like, I'm up for the job.

-And the last thing is we have some

very special guests coming in.

One of them has been to Russell's other ranch

at least eight times,

and that gives us another thing

that we have to think about because they're on vacation.

They're not supposed to think.

So we have to do the thinking for them.

-I've been feeling very down lately,

especially after everything that happened with Gabby.

I don't want Carleigh and Bob

to regret their decision

of making me assistant head wrangler.

I need to step up and take on more responsibility

and really step into that leadership role.

-I think we need to work smarter

and we need to be very efficient with our time.

But we are going to party.

Horseback riding definitely is an adrenaline experience.

And then we also have some archery.

So we've got you on your first day,

He's going to take us to a mine that no one else knows about.

-We've never been on anything like this.

-I'm super excited to spend some time with Katie today.

Even though we're with some guests,

we still get to spend some time together.

And I kind of realized

that this might be a pretty good opportunity for

me to step up a little bit and take the initiative to see

if that spark between us is still there.

-Okay, wait, what's the speed that it goes?

Like, what's the limit? -Like 65, 70.

So if he continues to prove himself consistently

have caves in them and all these caves

have sapphire veins running through.

That's like the actual sapphire mine right there.

-I feel like I'm, like, pushing my limits of how far.

When we have returning guests, we treat them really,

really well because we want them to continue to come back.

But we have a lot of guests on the ranch this week,

so we're gonna have to push ourselves to cater to them.

Like Brian's a vegan. -Those are all me things.

The adrenaline junkie guests, they wanted to do

something competitive,

so we are building an ATV obstacle course.

It'll be pretty rough. Pretty off road, if you will.

It's gonna have water hazards, logs to go over,

maneuverability sections, uphill, downhill.

So I'm really excited to see them do it.

All right, everybody! Gather around.

-So today we're going to do an ATV relay race.

[ Cheering ]

But we're only gonna use one ATV to keep it safe.

But we're gonna time it.

So we have four people competing.

First we have Trevor.

We have Vern, Miss Head Wrangler.

And we have Chase.

Yeah! All right.

We need one more person from the adrenaline junkies.

-It's gonna be me. -You have a volunteer?

-Yeah. -All right.

-It seems like Carson is like the Ryan Seacrest

of hosting activities here at the ranch.

I think it fits him pretty well.

-We're gonna go straight over two sets of logs.

After the logs, you're going to cross the river twice.

Once you're out of the river,

you're going to shoot over

and you're going to do a barrel pattern.

You're going to go through a super awesome hay maze,

and then you're going to do a little zigzag through cones,

and then we're gonna stop your time

when you cross the finish line.

I think they did a really good job setting up this course.

Some of these obstacles are pretty risky.

We're just gonna hope that everybody drives safe

and gets back with no dirt on them.

The winner gets to take home this ATV.

I consider myself to be pretty competitive,

and so they throw me into something like this,

I'll give it my all.

I might be a little mellow on the outside,

but there's something in me that gets me going.

-My team made a really awesome course.

It was challenging even for somebody like myself

who's been riding four-wheelers my entire life.

I think I almost died.

I think that's what happened.

I mean, these are brand-new ranchers.

They're fast, and we did not make an easy obstacle course.

A bit nervous just knowing

that I want them to have a great time

and be really safe in the process,

because trick riding is extremely dangerous.

-Katie's idea for trick riding is super unique.

I'm not surprised they chose it,

because that's not something that you can do just anywhere.

But when it comes to these guests,

I just, like, have a side of caution.

This is one of my favorites, the shoulder stand.

-I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas.

I learned trick riding when I was about 11 or 12.

What it essentially is is acrobatics on horseback.

It's been around for probably about a hundred years.

There's not a lot of people

that are really tough enough to do it now.

Nowadays it's really just a dying art

and there's very few of us left.

For that reason, I'm really good in, like,

high-pressure situations.

where I'm seeing that they're having a good time,

they're impressed, they trust me

because I've been able to show them that I know what I'm doing.

because the horse was going a bit fast for her,

but the horse has got to stop eventually.

I'm a professional fly fishing guide.

It's what I do for a living back home,

so I'm super excited to be able to show them

how to do simple things like casting.

You want your line to be face down, your rod to be face down.

you'll start to get it.

Fly fishing is a little bit harder

than movies make them look.

A beautiful fish.

I learned how to fly fish when I was,

like, 19, 20 years old,

and I ended up being pretty good.

The hammer and nail cast is easy.

Right after college, got a job, figured out

I was leaving the office way too much to go fishing.

Just got into bass and striper and all that fun stuff.

Remember, just keep your rod tip down and strip.

It takes a long time to learn how to fly fish,

but I think they're getting a lot out of it.
