She was the kind of person you assume is gonna live

And, unfortunately, thats something you and Douglas are

gonna have to go through now, too.

I lost my child, and you lost the mother of your child.

>> Brooke: I really cant believe you, Taylor.

Disrespecting me and my marriage in my own home!

>> Taylor: Oh, stop being so dramatic.

Ridge and I have children together.

We were married.

And that was a very long time ago.

>> Taylor: Look, our family just suffered a terrible loss,

I was just sharing my sadness with Ridge.

Because I remember you saying something like you miss him,

and youre still very much in love with him.

I think she deserves a shot at making it as a real designer.

I mean, were hoping to get the ball rolling sooner rather than

[ Clears throat ] Um, we got a bunch of

free weekends coming up if you and Hope want to

come down to the beach.

>> Liam: Um...

Yeah, that -- that sounds really fun.

in, like, a few months, though?

>> Wyatt: Hope feeling any better?

>> Liam: I-in some ways, yes.

The -- the cloud is lifting a little.

And Ive been reading about what mothers go through when

they -- when they lose a child the way that Hope did, and,

I think that i-it would be incomprehensible for you or me.

A part of Hope left with Beth that night.

And now its just about adjusting to the new normal.

you just have to go through it.

You know, there is no right or wrong in how to deal with it.

Well, for Hope, thats Phoebe.

Just, like, spending time with her, holding her.

says shes too heartbroken to have another child.

Part of me wants to reach out to her, but I know shes

moved on with Wyatt.

Um, that probably seems like too soon, Im sure.

Theres something that not a lot of you living in L.A. know about

our time there.

We werent...together.

Sally -- to be with Caroline.

It was too tough trying to get back what we had.

But, heh, it actually worked out really well, cause we realized

we were amazing co-parents.

We just hadnt been romantically involved in a long time.

>> Hope: Wow.

I had -- I had no idea.

>> Thomas: She was one of my closest friends.

She was the mother of my child.

We just realized that we were better as friends.

And I was so focused on Douglas, and so was she.

Um...

But...now shes gone.

Douglas...has no mom, and Im a single father.

>> Taylor: Of course I will always love Ridge.

We were together for years.

Im sorry if that makes you feel threatened.

>> Brooke: I dont feel threatened.

Im very secure in my marriage.

This battle was over decades ago.

At least be gracious in your victory.

Hope is trying to bring peace.

I-I know all about her taking off her wedding band, Brooke.

She wasnt thinking clearly.

Hope is the only one thinking clearly.

So you got to -- you got to give her some room.

wish Hope could see the woman that I see.

But its like shes lost confidence in herself -- in her

ability to be a mother, in her ability to protect her child.

Shes gonna be an awesome mom someday.

I mean, she -- shes still afraid shes gonna lose

another child.

Think about how hard it is to, like, have faith in anything

when you go through such a deep loss.

But Hopes a fighter.

Shell get stronger.

Shell -- shell believe in herself more.

Someday, shell want to have a family again.

Just give it time.

>> Thomas: I wasnt prepared to lose her.

I mean, nothing can prepare you.

I cant believe Im in this position.

How could Douglas lose his mother at such a young age?

>> Hope: Well, that has to be the hardest part as a parent.

Knowing that your child doesnt have his mom anymore.

Hes gonna miss her so much.

Steffy and Liam have been broken up for a very long time now,

and theyve moved past this.

The only person who hasnt is you.

Steffy and Liam would still be married if Bill

hadnt interfered.

I had nothing to do with that.

But somehow youre always trying to blame me for everything that

doesnt go right in your life.

Its about my daughter.

granddaughters.

>> Taylor: Steffy is practically raising those little girls

all by herself.

I mean, thats a choice that she made.

She is lucky.

She is so lucky to have two healthy, beautiful babies.

While my daughter is suffering the loss of her own.

She is struggling with Liam.

Theyre both grieving for their child.

Shes in a very dark space.

empathy for her, but you dont.

dealing with the consequences.

Its obvious you want Liam in that home.

He needs more time with his daughters.

And thats not Hopes fault.

That is because of Steffy.

Because she turned to Bill.

Her father-in-law.

The worst possible betrayal.

Sure, you can blame Bill all you want.

But Steffy said that she was a willing participant.

>> Taylor: [ Scoffs ] >> Brooke: And she hurt Liam.

She destroyed that trust.

And what did my daughter do?

Did she swoop in?

No, she didnt.

She was there to help them, help support that marriage,

for months.

But it didnt work out.

So Hope and Liam ended up together.

And now they -- they are dealing with the loss of their child.

Beth.

And they need a lot of love and support, Taylor.

They certainly dont need you insinuating that Liam should

leave Hope and reunite with Steffy.

Dont you see what youre doing?

You are pitting us and our daughters against each other.

The blondes versus the brunettes.

As if, by virtue of our hair color, we get to stand on

moral high ground.

This has been going on for years -- for decades.

And somewhere along the line, you rewrote the story to where

you and your daughter, you -- you guys are the virtuous ones.

Well, no more.

You can judge me all you want.

I am used to your high-and-mighty attitude.

But you sure as hell are not gonna do anything

to harm my daughter.

Hope is so loving, and she is kind,

and she is moral.

Shes everything you wish that you were.

And she is suffering, Taylor, the biggest grief of her life.

And Im gonna be there to protect her.

So if you try to come between Hope and Liam, I swear to God,

youre gonna have to go through me first!
