until I seen the Reverend.

When the rapture takes place,

and the church no longer remains on the Earth,

is the Holy Spirit still present on Earth,

or is he also gone with the church?

And if so, how do those left behind get saved?

Do they just believe in the Lord Jesus Christ

and become saved?

Does Jesus send the Holy Spirit

to dwell in those that repent?

Well, first of all, the Holy Spirit is God,

and God is omnipresent,

so there is no place that he isn't in existence.

So the idea that when the church leaves

the Holy Spirit leaves is not only impossible,

but unbiblical.

Furthermore, during the time of the tribulation period,

the greatest revival in human history takes place.

You have more people converted in a seven-year period

than at any other time in history.

And that's laid out very clearly in scripture.

So the notion that the spirit is gonna be taken away

is not true.

Now what is true is this,

that there is a ministry

that the Holy Spirit has now,

and has had through all human history

called the ministry of restraint.

The world is a bad place.

It's full of sin and evil and wickedness,

but it isn't as bad as it could be

because the restrainer, the Holy Spirit,

holds it back.

During that period of tribulation

the restrainer lets go.

So there's a sense in which evil

will reach epic and unheard of proportions

because the restraining ministry

of the Holy Spirit is released,

but at the same time the work

of salvation will be carried on

by the Holy Spirit during that period,

and the greatest revival ever will take place.

Because the Holy Spirit is God.

That's a wonderful answer.

Hal from Michigan asks,

"and studying God's word in the Bible

"equips us for life in this world.

"I'm wondering if the knowledge we obtain today

"will accompany us into eternity,

"and if so for what purpose?"

Well, first of all, it will.

Our Christian life here,

our Christian growth,

our spiritual development,

our knowledge of scripture,

all of those maturing things

that are going on in our lives

as we expose ourselves to the word

and power of the spirit effect how we live,

how we witness, how we serve the Lord.

And that all effects our eternal reward.

So when we go to heaven we're gonna be rewarded.

There are certain crowns promised to the believer.

There are rewards promised to us

for the things in our lives

that you would classify as gold, silver, precious stones.

So in a very real sense our place in eternity,

the role we are gonna be given,

the kind of service we will render to the Lord,

and the kind of reward we will receive,

is defined and determined by

how we live our lives here,

and how we live our lives here

is determined by how we respond to the word of God.

So that is true.

But on the other hand, it isn't going to be necessary for us

when we get to heaven to reach back,

and try to remember some spiritual principal

that we learned while we were here

'cause the Bible says when we see the Lord

we'll know as we are known.

So we will instantaneously have full knowledge.

What is the importance

of anticipating the return of Jesus Christ

for the life of a believer?

Well, we're told to set our affections

on things above,

and not on things on the Earth.

We get too Earth bound.

And I would say that's not always the same

in every culture,

or in every period of history.

It's tougher for us because we have so much.

If you're living in a mud hut in Africa,

and you become a Christian,

you're gonna long for the coming of Christ

in ways that we don't because

we have too many distractions.

Living in this culture we have to hack our way

through to even think about heaven.

Heaven seems, how can I say it?

Not even as good an option as Disneyland

because we're so into running from one thrill

and one high to another

that we don't experience the pains of life.

They're basically leveled out

in a highly technical culture like ours is,

and with all the medical stuff that we've got.

We don't face death.

I mean death is even hidden from us when it happens.

So I think it's easy to forget about heaven

and become Earth bound.

For me, the attraction of heaven,

I'm happy for the pearl gates,

and I'm happy for the gold streets,

but the attraction of heaven

is literally a weariness with the flesh.

Here's how it goes.

It's gonna be the rapture of the church.

That's an unsigned event.

In other words, there's no sign preliminary to that event.

It's gonna be suddenly in a moment,

in the twinkling of an eye,

snatching out the church.

Then there's gonna be a period

of seven years of tribulation.

Daniel refers to that period,

and that period is laid out

in the book of Revelation repeatedly.

Even the numbers are laid out.

The events are laid out from Revelation 6-19.

I went all through that.

And I said that's gonna be followed by

the return of Jesus Christ to establish

his thousand year kingdom.

I think it uses the word thousand in Revelation 20

about six times so it's not obscure.

And at the end of 1000 years Satan has a rebellion,

Satan's rebellion is basically ended,

and then the entire universe as we know it

literally implodes in an atomic implosion,

and the Lord creates a new heaven

and the new Earth.

Tired of the battle with sin,

tired not only in the struggle in your own life with it,

but tired of the struggle around you with it.

I'm in my 80's,

and my ministry hadn't slowed down at all.

I'm constantly fighting on all kinds of fronts.

It's like Paul said when we referred to Ephesus.

He said "There's a wide open door

"and many adversaries."

Paul said at the end of his life

"I fought the good fight."

It's a fight.

It's a fight against sin in our own lives,

weakness and failure,

and then in all the people around us.

We're trying to move the kingdom forward

one life at a time.

I've even said to some people,

"You're gonna have to reintroduce yourself to me

"when I get to heaven because

"I'm not gonna recognize you when you're perfect."

But I think there's a kind of time

when you just say "Okay, Lord, any time's fine with me."

When the battles over.

You just wanna be faithful to the end.

I'm thankful it's a reality.

Peter says we have an imperishable, undefiled,

inheritance stored up for us who are in Christ.

And we need to-

Reserved for you.

Reserved for us.

Yeah, and that's something that believers

need to contemplate and consider,

and anticipate.

And, as you said, it's not obscure, it's clear.

It's right there for us.

And the word of God continues to say

"And he shall hear of wars

"and rumors of wars.

"See that you be not troubled

"for all these things must come to pass."

"For all these things must come to pass,

"but the end is not yet."

So I just want you to know the end is not yet.

This is not the end.

We're just beginning.

Everything that you see that's going on,

all of these wars, is just the beginning.

But the Lord shall return.

The word of God also says

"For nation shall rise against nation,

"and kingdom against kingdom."

And there should be hungry, famine, estivates,

sickness, Earth quakes at diverse places.

Everywhere.

And we see it's going on now.

And I wanna get this message out

because many of you are worried,

yore concerned what's going on.

We are in the last days.

All these things are the beginning of sorrow.

More sorrow is coming.

In closing, I want you to know

what the word of the Lord says.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted,

and shall kill you.

Some of us shall be killed

fro the namesake of Christ.

Get ready.

And he shall be head of all nations.

For Christ's namesake you shall be hated.

They're coming after us.

They don't like because we're proclaiming the word of God,
