[Episode 30]

Your Majesty,

I...

Concerning Qingzhou,

the gods' will must be sought.

Isn't the Prince Heir awake?

I leave it to you two.

I am weary.

Yes, Your Majesty.

General,

what does His Majesty intend for Qingzhou?

His Majesty, driven by a desire for immortality,

weighs Qingzhou's value in his quest.

If it offers no gain, he may spare it.

But

with the Prince Heir's strength proven,

he now trusts him as the Sun Kunlun.

So, our only path is

to gain the Prince Heir's cooperation?

We must ensure

he doesn't obstruct us.

General!

General, news from Qingzhou.

[October, 26th year of Zhaoming, from Zigu]

If this woman is truly the Princess Heir,

then the Prince Heir will be my pawn.

I am resolved

to conquer Qingzhou.

Prince Jing was weakened by testing

the Momai antidote,

harming both Qi and blood.

You must recover fully.

Wei,

the medicine is not ready yet.

Patience is needed.

General Yin.

Should I call you Mei Lin

or Miss Hua?

Is this medicine for the governor?

Yes, to replenish his Qi and blood.

But the governor's true ailment is emotional.

Only an emotional remedy can heal his pain.

Such healing must come from within.

The governor was injured while saving Miss Hua.

This is what Miss Hua should do.

You've done plenty

by preparing medicine for him.

He's suffered long.

He'll need time to fully recover.

Let him endure it.

General Yin,

are you here for the governor?

I'm here for you.

The patrol camp

owes much to your aid.

Your talents

are wasted

in this small cake shop.

Miss Hua,

will you consider joining the barracks?

Thank you, General Yin, for your kind offer.

You're a national heroine, General Yin.

I admire you deeply.

In the past,

I'd have followed without question.

Now, as Miss Hua,

I'm just an ordinary Qingzhou citizen.

The life I lead now

is what I desire most.

General Yin,

when the nation faces danger,

I will rise,

wherever I am,

to defend my country,

life or death.

Well spoken.

I will not force you, then.

Mei Lin,

it's a pity we met so late.

Not late at all.

You arrived in time, General Yin.

The governor's medicine is almost ready.

Could you deliver it to the patrol camp?

Very well.

We must leave!

Every house and shop within three li

has been doused

with tung oil.

Resist us,

and all will perish with you!

Halt!

You're from Xiyan.

We're here to escort the Princess Heir back to Xiyan.

Since you're here, General Yin,

you'll accompany us.

You don't serve the Prince Heir.

[Token] Here, Prince Heir's token.

Qingzhou's governor will understand.

Mei Lin!

There's still time

before the young prince arrives.

Take your time on the sculpture, Your Highness.

There's still time.

No, there's no time.

I can never make it.

Zigu

is gone.

Her Highness?

- Did the secret message...? - Out.

Your Highness.

Out!

Zigu was loyal,

and you failed her.

She wasn't even 20.

Why did you do this?

Why?

Why?

Why?

All I wanted

was to protect those I love,

and they're all gone!

Mother,

Zigu,

and Mei Lin.

You were blind and foolish then.

The fault was mine.

I should bear the punishment,

I should be dead.

Please calm your anger, Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty, take care of your health.

Silence!

I'm the son of Heaven.

I won't die.

Seek the Moon Kunlun.

Only when the Sun and Moon Kunlun unite

will I attain immortality.

Also,

light

another lamp

at the Tower of Immortality.

Go!

Yes, Your Majesty.

Does the new priest

still lack His Majesty's trust?

His Majesty is ever-suspicious,

and

no priest

can cure him.

His Majesty can't afford to wait.

Send the High Priest to declare

that Qingzhou's Sacred Mountain holds immortality.

We must secure orders to attack Qingzhou

before His Majesty weakens.

Yes.

[Order]

Last night, Mei Lin brewed medicine to restore your Qi and blood,

refusing help.

How could this happen?

If Jia and Yi learn

Mei Lin has been taken,

they'll be frantic.

Fear not.

I'll rescue her.

All houses within three lis

are doused in tung oil.

This isn't the Prince Heir's way.

It's Mingju.

He seized them under the Prince Heir's name,

likely to force the Prince Heir into battle.

The general is in danger.

Return to the barracks.

[Like the Constant Sun]

This way, Your Excellency.

General,

His Highness is unwell and refuses visitors.

I bring the remedy he needs,

one that

calms the Prince Heir's heart.

Inform him.

Seeing her

will cure the Prince Heir

more than any medicine.

Where is she?

Once lost, and now returned.

Do I not deserve a gift of thanks, Your Highness?

Take me to her.

I must see her first.

Keep watch on them.

Report all

they say and do.

Yes.

Mei Lin,

it truly is you.

I'm grateful you're alive.

Fear not.

I won't force you again.

I can't bear to

let you die a second time.

I will

send you back to Qingzhou.

Mei Lin.

Don't be afraid.

I won't hurt anyone anymore.

You can't hurt yourself anymore.

I will find more Snow Dragon Whisker to save you.

The Snow Dragon Whisker was an accident.

I don't blame you.

Stop blaming yourself.

Your Highness,

let me go.

I only wish

to live in peace.

You're the Princess Heir.

Your home is in Xiyan.

I'm no longer the Princess Heir.

You and I have parted ways.

I regret it.

Now that you live,

you must stay here.

If you are to die,

let it be by my side.

Your Highness,

I owe you

my life,

but I cannot

return your love.

You have no choice.

I hold Yin Luomei.

If you wish her safe,

stay.

Your Highness,

General Ming requests your presence.

Your Highness.

General Ming,

what do you want as thanks?

Your Highness,

take a seat.

Your Highness,

you know well

my desired thanks.

Very well.

I'll help you

seize Qingzhou,

but

release Yin Luomei first.

With her in hand,

why release her?

Better to execute her

before the armies,

rallying our troops.

Yin Luomei

is but a minor sheriff.

Her death

would only trouble our men.

But Murong Jinghe's fall

will deliver Qingzhou

without a fight.

Where's the Prince Heir?

Tell him

that I will stay,

but he must let General Yin return.

Release Yin Luomei as bait.

Murong Jinghe's death is paramount.

Stalling tactics.

Send word to Weibei Army's camp

that Yin Luomei was caught spying on Xiyan's camp.

Out of regard for peace,

I will overlook it,

but I require Qingzhou's governor

to fetch her at Liucui River.

Yes, Your Highness.

If Mingju and Yue Qin are allied,

it could prove problematic.

Choose a trusted team

from the Pingnan Army

to assist in their rescue.

Also,

keep General Yin's absence

secret.

Understood.

Enemy sighted!

Enemy sighted!

Enemy sighted!

[Yin Luomei caught spying. Governor to] [retrieve her at Liucui River, Wu hour]

Qingyan.

"Yin Luomei was caught spying.

Qingzhou's governor is to collect her at Liucui River at Wu hour."

Now, I only wish

the Princess Heir would stay in Xiyan willingly.

Alas,

her heart belongs to Murong Jinghe.

It seems Xiyan seeks a reason

to break the treaty and ignite war.

Let us fight them.

The General said

the Pingnan Army does not seek war,

yet fears it not.

Kill the Xiyan soldiers,

save the General!

Kill the Xiyan soldiers,

save the General!

Kill the Xiyan soldiers, save the General!

Kill the Xiyan soldiers, save the General!

Kill the Xiyan soldiers, save the General!

Kill the Xiyan soldiers, save the General!

We cannot engage them.

With the decree and the treaty,

we should not be the first to declare war.

Moreover, Xiyan's excuse

is sound.

I believe

we should follow their words.

His Excellency can go to retrieve her.

No,

it's likely a trap.

I agree.

If His Excellency and the General fall into danger,

Qingzhou

will be left defenseless.

Your Excellency, let me go.

Even if it costs my life,

I'll bring back General Yin and Miss Hua.

Miss Hua is less important.

General Yin is crucial.

Over half of Qingzhou's troops

are

former Pingnan Army.

Choose a team to rescue them.

I'll lead.

Be assured, General.

I release you with a sincere heart.

But

wait a while for Qingzhou's governor to fetch you.

I will use Yin Luomei to put on a show

to have Mei Lin's spirit broken.

Therefore,

Murong Jinghe must die by my hand.

A clever ruse, Your Highness.

I want her to stay

and her heart, too.

Aid me, General Ming,

and Qingzhou

will be my gift to you.

Qingzhou is the Princess Heir's homeland.

Your Highness, so deeply in love with her...

Why should I believe

you'll give it to me?

General Ming, your soldiers outside

follow the gods.

Without the gods' blessing,

do you think they will follow you into battle?

Your Highness.

I know you didn't remain willingly.

I offer another chance to leave.

You aim to incite war between nations.

I merely wish to watch a show.

Tell the governor

I await him with my beloved wife.

He must come alone.

Yes.

Your Excellency,

how are you?

If you seek peace,

release them now.

I shall.

Yet, General Yin and her men spied on Xiyan's camp.

I must retain one as a pretext

for the army.

Which one remains

is your choice,

Your Excellency.

You break your word.

I pledged to release General Yin,

not both of them.

Since this lady

is dear to you,

I bring you together, Your Excellency.

You should thank me.

Why should I trust you?

Choose Mei Lin.

You know

I'd never harm her.

I'm the Sun Kunlun,

under the gods' favor.

Moreover,

as Prince Heir

and future king,

I need not break my word to any subject.

I'm sorry.

Yin Luomei, come with me.

Your Excellency,

it seems you hold General Yin dearer.

General Yin, depart now.

You've made your choice. Don't be greedy,

or you'll lose both.

General,

do you truly trust the Prince Heir?

With His Majesty gravely ill,

I comply

with the Prince Heir for now.

But as long as his heart remains in Xiyan,

he'll keep his promise.

Mei Lin, see?

He abandoned you once more.

I knew he'd choose General Yin.

General Weibei values loyalty

but upholds justice above all.

He's unworthy of your sympathy!

Only I

will always choose you.

Murong Jinghe must die here.

Release the arrows!

Stop!

No one moves!

Stop!

Any who harm the Princess Heir

will be cut down by me.

So, the Prince Heir has been playing his part all along.

I'm the Sun Kunlun.

If I fall,

you all fall with me!

[Weibei] Yin Luomei, heed my command.

If I perish,
