[theme music concludes]

[dramatic music playing]

[Ruksy] So, let me get this straight.

You're on the trail of a lost temple of immense power and wealth.

That may or may not exist.

And all of this started because of a story

some old elf told you on a beach in Thailand?

He was very convincing.

And you're doing this to show your father that you're worthy of a job at the DMI?

-It started out that way. -But then the keys started reacting to me.

[dramatic music intensifies]

[key chiming]

[dramatic music concludes]

I want to find out why.

And there's only one more key to find.

And now, we've found Magnus's second journal to tell us where to look.

If this temple exists, it's a lost part of magical history.

Finding it is exactly the kind of mission the Bureau should be doing.

A treasure hunt? I'm in.

Weren't you listening?

Kyra just said she didn't know what was happening.

We can't go into something without considering the risks.

Why don't we take a vote?

All those in favor of the Bureau taking this on.

[scoffs]

Ruksy?

I think you're all mad. And I don't want anything to do with it.

She'll come around.

So, let's find out where we're going.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Darra] "August 29, 1919. Central Indochina."

"We set off from our campsite at sunrise

and followed the sun for three kilometers."

"The vegetation was dense, and our passage was slow."

"Though we kept watch, the shimmer hurried us

and claimed my porters before we found the clearing."

-What's a shimmer? -No idea.

What else does he say?

"Vannak has not made it easy to find his statue."

"Not everything that is can be seen."

-What does that mean? -Will you stop interrupting?

[Darra] "Vannak's statue refused to surrender the key."

"And when the sleeping guardian awoke,

we were forced to retreat in fear of our lives."

-Sleeping guardian? -Peter!

"But I have progressed too far to stop. The dream must be realized."

"I will return with stronger magic and find the key."

-That's all he wrote. -So, let's go.

We can't. Ben's playing tonight. I have to stay and mix for him.

Okay. We will go in the morning.

Isn't Maxwell doing his career seminars with us tomorrow morning?

We go in early, get the key, get out, agreed?
