[Fighter of the Destiny]

[Episode 39]

We are incompetent. We haven't found out where Cheng Changsheng and his gang are.

Your Majesty, Chen Changsheng has always been a cunning man. Besides, he's good at handling formations.

If he's hiding, it'll be hard to find him.

I can't blame you, either.

The one who watched them sneak away

is me, the wise and brilliant

Empress of the Zhou Empire.

We are powerless. Please forgive us.

Qiushan, if you were Chen Changsheng,

would you blame me for being

cold-blooded and without feeling?

Mother?

Your Majesty, do you mean that Chen Changsheng is the Crown Prince?

What do you think?

I think, Chen Changsheng won't blame Your Majesty.

It's said that the thunder and rain are both the ruler's grace. Your Majesty is the ruler of the world.

Of course, everything is mainly for the benefit of the world.

Mo Yu, what do you have to say?

I think, he will hate you.

Speak

Because this is people's nature. A mother's love is the most precious.

When one person loses what's most precious to them,

they can't possibly not hate.

Yes, how could he not hate?

You may go.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Subbers of the Destiny @ Viki

What happened to me? The Star Formation.

As long as I can have the Star Formation,

everything will be worth it.

If you were Chen Changsheng,

would you blame me for being cold-blooded and without feeling?

Chen Changsheng is actually the Crown Prince.

How is that possible? If that is the case,

how can Her Majesty be ruthless enough to fight against him?

No wonder Her Majesty's attitude changed so much after he got back.

If this crown prince accused me of murder,

will Her Majesty believe in me, or him?

Teacher!

Teacher, how are you?

Well, this is the Qilin Mushroom I got from Uncle Jin, please have one.

Have you snuck out again?

Sorry

I should be the one to apologize.

You're clearly the princess of the Beast Clan.

Because of me, you've been burdened and have suffered a lot.

I'm not a well-qualified teacher.

Teacher stop saying nonsense. Hurry up and eat one.

How is it, Teacher?

What's wrong, Teacher?

Changsheng.

What has happened?

I just fed him a piece of the Qilin Mushroom.

Luo Luo.

The nascent soul is already raging in his body,

and the Qilin Mushroom is ultra-nutritious. It's like pouring oil on the flames.

No wonder he had such a big reaction.

Sorry, I didn't know.

This isn't your fault.

But didn't you tell me that the Goddess had cured his disease?

Why is this still happening?

I don't know, she told me he was cured at that time.

I don't know, either.

This isn't your fault.

I made the mistake of thinking it would be easy.

The disease is so fatal, only the one who can change destiny can heal it.

How could it be so easy to heal?

So what can we do now?

I've given him a Cultivation Pill. He will be fine for now.

As long as he keeps taking it, he will be fine for a while.

- It's just that... \N - What is it?

I've only got two pills left. The rest of the Cultivation Pills are in my Parasol Bow.

And someone else took the Parasol Bow.

Who?

Qiushan Jun.

First Senior Brother!

First Senior Brother, you can't hide from me.

It really was you! Why?

Yes.

It's all my fault.

I wasn't careful enough and the Demon Clan planted the Demon Intent into me.

The thing regarding Chen Changsheng?

That's right. It was me who framed Chen Changsheng.

When I was in Zhou Garden, I was seduced by the Black Robe

and lost my mind.

Younger Brother Guan...

Did you also murder Younger Brother Guan?

I really... I really...

I really didn't know what to do!

I really didn't know things would turn out like this after I got attacked by the Demon Intent!

Do you know? I was a hundred times as surprised as you back then!

I really don't know what to do.

No, First Senior Brother,

this is all the Demon Clan's fault!

They used ruthless methods to force you do it!

No!

I told myself everyday, nothing is true!

It's all because the Demon Clan lured me.

I was blinded by them.

But later I found out, it's all lying to myself.

Maybe all of this...

all of this was my own choosing.

First Senior Brother,

it's not like that. It's not like that!

I murdered Junior Brother Guan,

because I was afraid to lose the aura of being a hero.

I framed Chen Changsheng because I was jealous about his relationship with Yourong.

And I kept killing innocent people... Kept killing innocent people!

That's because I couldn't help my brutal desire!

But I'm no longer me anymore.

I'm no longer me anymore!

Maybe this is the real me.

Courage comes from our weakness.

Turn yourself in! Okay?

There's still time!

Turn myself in?

No, I can't turn myself in. It's impossible for me to turn myself in!

It's all right if I die,

but how can I shame the Lishan Sword Sect!

I'm the well-respected Qiushan Jun.

I'm the pride of the Human Clan; the pride of the Lishan Sword Sect!

There's no way back for me.

Hanshi,

you can let me go... Let me go to the Demon Clan's battlegrounds

to fight them with my life, until I die!

Maybe this way I can regain my last bit of dignity.

First Senior Brother.

Dignity and morality are the same.

It's not to be saved but to defend.

You are the man I most respect. It's also you who taught me to fight for morality.

Therefore, I must take you back.

I won't go back with you.

First Senior Brother, as long as you turn back, there is salvation. It's not too late to repent.

Hanshi!

First Senior Brother, don't get possessed. I believe in you.

Hanshi!

Qiushan Jun, if we don't kill him, you'll be given away.

Hanshi is my apprentice junior brother.

So what if he's your apprentice junior brother. You can't be soft-hearted at a time like this.

Shut up.

Hanshi!

Hanshi!

First Senior Brother!

Hanshi!

Qiushan Jun, you have no other choice.

Shut up!

The only way to protect your dignity was to kill him.

Hanshi.

Don't overthink it. If he didn't die, then you would.

Only the winner survives. That's the nature of the world. The law of the jungle.

Shut up.

What do you know. Hanshi is like my younger biological \N brother.

Now, as his older brother,

I actually caused his death.

Do you know, in Hanshi's eyes,

he respects me the most in this world.

I've never disappointed him for so many years.

But what about now?

It's was me... who destroyed everything.

Are you done crying? If you're done, then listen to me carefully.

Our demon army has already arrived at the boarders of the two clans.

If we can obtain the Star Map, then it'll be the end of the Human Clan.

Where you want to be, you have to make the decision early.

Now...

what other choices do I have?

Of course you do.

You can chose to be hero of the Huam Clan, die on the battlefield without any worth.

Or you can be the hero of the Demon Clan.

King of the world, become known by everyone.

This is for you.

What is it?

Demon-inhibiting pill. It can inhibit the demon aura in your body.

After taking it, no one will discover it.

Join our Demon Clan, you and I

can have a better future together.

Qiushan Jun, everything will start over.

Loving someone

can make them crazy enough to give up on everything.

You've fallen in love with me, that's why you'll understand. Right?

We are different.

We are not so different.

What the Human Clan can't give you, the Demon Clan can.

I can sacrifice everything to help you.

When you become successful, if you haven't changed your mind,

I will not bother you any more.

You want me to join the Demon Clan thoroughly.

You have no other options. Some options, once chosen, you must follow it to the end.

Once we get the Star Map, I'll ask my Teacher to remove his control over you.

For you to be on top of the Demon Clan.

To lead us to be the victor of the land.

- Look at my sword, it's incomparably sharp.\N- Indeed.

Third Senior Brother, have you seen Second Senior Brother?

- I haven't seen him. \N - I haven't seen him.

How about you?

I haven't seen Second Senior Disciple.

I'll give you some guidance another day.

Xiaojiu, have you seen Second Senior Disciple?

Second Senior Disciple, I haven't seen him since yesterday. He probably went out.

This is the situation. We have to get the Parasol Bow,

so we can stabilize Changsheng's condition.

Qiushan Jun.

Fighting him one on one, no one's his opponent. To take something from his hands,

it's no different from a mouse tying a bell onto a cat.

How about we steal it?

It's the same! It's just the difficultly changes to chicks going to visit the weasel.

Then what should we do? We can't just do nothing right?

Of course not.

Changsheng. Junior Sister Qijian, you're also here.

Qijian found out that Hanshi is missing. She suspects that Quishan Jun is related to it.

Are you fine now?

I'm fine. After taking Yourong 's Cultivation Pill,

I think I can last a few days.

We must get the Parasol Bow from Qiushan Jun, and ask for Gou Hanshi's whereabouts.

We're taking and asking. It'd be good if he was that easy to talk to.

It's actually not difficult.

As long as we can reveal that he is a spy of the Demon Clan.

We can stop being reactive, start being proactive.

No matter it's getting the Parasol Bow back, or finding Senior Brother Hanshi,

it'll be a lot easier.

But we don't have evidence.

This truly is a difficult problem.

Her Majesty has high trust in Qiushan Jun.

We're the wanted.

If we want to say who else is more suitable for this in the Capital, there is only one person.

Are you saying Mo Yu?

Who is able to investigate in secret? Only Miss Mo can.

Miss Qijian, such a rare guest. What brought you here?

Actually, I'm not the one who wants to see you.

Then who is it?

Mo Yu.

Yourong?

You want me to investigate Qiushan Jun. Do you know that he'a currently Her Majesty's favorite?

Behind his back. There's the whole Lishan Sword Sect to support him.

Why should I monitor him with no reason?

Good tea.

Do you think that you have me baited on it?

Your guess is right. That's exactly my thought.

Xu Yourong!

Don't forget you are now a fugitive!

Fugitive, you know?

Do you still think you're the Saintess? Get off your high horse!

I believe you will do it because you like to suspect others.

You don't believe anyone is perfect.

And isn't Quishan Jun your best target?

I had indeed started to suspect him earlier on.

But you're wrong about saying that I don't believe there is a perfect person in this world.

Is there?

There is! It's you!

The Saintess that the entire world respects.

I've been living with you for years, but I have never found any tiny flaw on you!

Being too perfect is fake. I don't want to become the most fake person.

Too bad. Men like goddesses like you.

Elegant, beautiful, calm, strong.

What are you doing?

You are currently here to beg me for help.

Come, come, come. Come.

See, you look more like an ordinary girl now.

Don't worry. You can leave Qiushan Jun to me.

If he actually is a spy of the Demon Clan,

he will not get away with this under my nose.

Let's have some tea.

- Qiushan Jun. \N - Qiushan Jun.

This is the most outstanding disciple of Lishan Sword Sect, Qiushan Jun.

He indeed looks like no ordinary person.

He deserves to be called the young hero of the Human Clan.

You're right.

Someone robbed my money! Someone robbed my money!

Great! Great!

He is indeed very skilled.

Thank you! Thank you, sir.

Brother, you're such a good person. This is for you.

Thank you!

- Let's go buy another one. \N- Okay.

First Senior Brother, don't get possessed. I believe in you.

I'm a good person?

No.

I'm not a good person at all.

According to my observation, Qiushan Jun is abnormal indeed.

Besides, Gou Hanshi is missing. Nobody knows where he has gone.

But we can deduct that Qiushan Jun has ties with the Demon Clan just based on these.

Do you remember which techniques the Demon Clan killer used?

Yes. It's the Lishan technique.

Your Highness, are you saying...?

What's more convincing than catching someone on the site?

Go. Keep a close eye on Qiushan Jun.

Okay.

Your Highness, he showed up as predicted.

Be careful, he's a master of the Star Collecting Mirror.

Why isn't he moving?

An escape by strategy？

Your Highness, what should we do?

Chase after him! He must be nearby.

Yes.

Go!

Qiushan Jun, you seem to be in a good mood.

You're still killing people in the middle of the night.

I'm begging you, please be a real master.

Don't think you can get away with it by pretending to be deaf!

Who's pretending to be deaf?

Qiushan Jun?

Who's that then?

The Demon Clan.

Anybody has the right to kill him.

Well, you're being lucky.

Lord Mo Yu, I think you owe me an explanation.

Princess, we've taken care of the business you asked us to.

After this time, I think nobody will be suspicious of Qiushan Jun.

Princess, you care so much about him. I'm sure he will be grateful to you.

It's just a matter of time before us Demon Clan will rule the whole world.

Qiushan Jun is such a human hero.

He will certainly stand by the winner.

Nonsense!

Qiushan has killed so many demons.

How can he be the murderer?

You've been running the Secret Guards for many years. How can you draw such an absurd conclusion?

I just had the deduction based on the clues on the crime scene.

It's my duty to find out the truth.

Forgive my rudeness, I suggest we inspect Qiushan Jun, to see if there's any Demon Intent in his body.

Your Majesty, Lord Mo Yu is just being a loyal servant.

I'm willing to be inspected.

Good.

Qiushan, you're indeed frank and straightforward.

Guards!

Demon-Inhibiting pill can inhibit the demon aura in your body.

After taking it, no one will discover it.

Your Majesty, there's no Demon Intent in Qiushan Jun's body.

Good.

I feel ashamed.

Is saying "ashamed" enough?

From now on, the Secret Guards you managed will be managed by Qiushan.

He will be in charge of catching Chen Changsheng and his gang.

Leave now.

Yes.

I need to see Chen Changsheng standing in front of me, being well.

Understood.

From now on, put surveillance on anyone who was close to Chen Changsheng and Xu Yourong.

No matter who, and what rank he/she has,

as long as he/she's suspicious, don't be easy on him/her.

What about Lord Mo Yu?

I said, "No matter who"!

Got it! Got it!

Go.

Let's go!

Where exactly are you at, Chen Changsheng?

This tree is dying.

Changsheng.

Birth, senility, illness, and death. All things are cyclical.

All things have lives.

Though I've known all of these, every time when I see lives dying and there's no coming back,

I still feel sad.

Spring, summer, fall, and winter. The four seasons cycle through.

Life essentially means passing the flame. In next spring,

new seedlings will definitely sprout.

That's right.

But, by then, I don't know where I'm going to be.

Of course, you will be with me then.

If there's an afterlife.

[Head of the Snake Subduers]\N My Lord.

How's the Ministry of War?

We've replaced the deputy minister of the Ministry of War with our peer.

But Minister Li is too smart.

We had to be discreet on many things.

Do we need to kill him?

Minister Li is very important to Her Majesty.

If we make a move, it will only alert Her Majesty..

What about the Palace Guards?

A quarter of the lower ranked soldiers of the Palace Guards are our people.

But the generals are all relatives of the royal family. It's hard to bribe them.

It's enough.

Those are just useless people who are good only at feasting and drinking.

We only need to quickly take over the Palace Guards after getting rid of them.

Your performance is very good lately.

Our Snake Subduers needs people as loyal as you.

I will be a loyal servant to the the Snake Subduers till I die.

Her Majesty is obsessed with the Star Formation. She's been losing popularity.

It's a good opportunity for us the Snake Subduers to achieve our goals.

Don't lose your focus because of some trivial matters.

Got it. Leader,

lately, the Demon Clan Army seem to start getting together.

They will march south soon. Will it affect our plan?

Don't worry about it.

Everything is under my control.

No matter if it's the Demon Clan or the Beast Clan,

they're all insects in front of the absolute power!

As long as we take control of the Star Formation, we won't be in any danger.

But the Star Formation is still in Her Majesty's hand.

She's been under the influence of the Star Formation gradually.

And she lost the legitimacy to rule the world.

Now she's a ruler who's dumb and cruel, and she's lost the support among the people.

Us Snake Subduers should defend the land of the Zhou Empire, and the future of the Human Clan!

Why are you here?

I'm here for Second Senior Brother.

Have you seen him?

Hanshi is out for some business.

I haven't seen him lately.

Why? Do you need him for something?

Why do I need a reason to see him?

He's my second senior brother no matter what.

You're not a member of Lishan Sword Sect anymore.

Your second senior brother and Lishan Sword Sect have nothing to do with you.

Wait.

Second Senior Brother is not here.

I've asked other disciple brothers. They said nobody has seen him.

They said he went missing suddenly.

Don't you find it suspicious, First Senior Brother?

Based on Hanshi's ability, even if he runs into people from the Demon Clan, he will be able to deal with them.

It's none of your business.

Well, it's very strange then.

Second Senior Brother told me that he came here for you.

Never mind. I'll look for him elsewhere.

I don't want anything else to happen to him.

I hope you can stop pushing me.

Dust Avoiding Pill, Glaze Mirror.

Uncle Jin, why did you bring so many items?

We are going to hide, not to go sightseeing.

If we got their attention, we would be toast!

Your Highness, don't worry.

Us Beast Clan have been operating in the capital for many years.

If we can be found just by sending some stuff, we should be ashamed.

Well, where's Tang Thirty-Six?

Where did he go?

He seemed to sneak out.

He told me he would ask for some information in the underground markets.

Uncle Jin, what's the situation out there?

The situation is horrible.

Mo Yu attempted to call First Senior Brother out, but she failed.

She got scolded by Her Majesty and she was relegated of her power.

Now First Senior Brother is in charge of all the Secret Guards.

What?

Even Sister Mo Yu can't take care of Qiushan Jun?

Why is he so hard to fight?

If it's easy to defeat him, he wouldn't be Qiushan Jun.

Someone snuck in!

Qijian, you were followed!

Let's go now!

Seal the intersection. Don't let anyone out.

Got it!

Junior Sister Qijian, what are you doing here?

It turns out to be First Senior Brother.

Of course, I'm here to look for Second Senior Brother.

Nonsense.

How can your Second Senior Brother be in a place like this?

Before he went missing, he told me,

it's possible that the Tang Family hid most of the treasures before their house got searched and properties got confiscated.

So I was thinking, maybe Second Senior Brother would be here looking for the treasures.

Stop the nonsense.

Do you really think I don't know that Chen Changsheng and his gang are hiding here?

This is the Capricorn Luo bestowed by Her Majesty.

It's specifically used for looking for people who hide by using formations.

As long as they're in the Tang household, this will find them.

Search!

My Lord, they're not here.

My Lord, they're not here. My Lord, they're not here.

I wonder if First Senior Brother's fish can help me find Second Senior Brother.

If they can't find Second Senior Brother, it'll still be great if they can find the treasure.

Let's go.

First Senior Brother, don't go.

Don't forget to tell me when you find Second Senior Brother.

Back!

Thanks to Mister's intelligence for setting up an Invisibility Formation outside of the Tang household in advance;

otherwise, we would have been in big trouble.

We need to thank Luo Luo's Interspatial Bug.

Without it, we couldn't have escaped on time.

Yes. Your Highness is more resourceful.

That's too obvious.

- Let's go.\N- Oh.

What should we do next?

Though Qiushan Jun has retreated, we don't know if he left anyone here to monitor everything.

That's right.

He put people everywhere for surveillance.

Do you think he dared to put people to spy His Holiness?

That's impossible.

His Holiness has such a high rank. How dare he?

Of course.

Then let's go to Li Palace and hide for a while.

But we need to inform Thirty-Six.

Well, Mister. Why not send me to do it?

I'm a small target, not easy to be found.

Are you joking? You're huge. Small target?

Well, then let Xuanyuan do it.

- Be careful.\N- Okay.

Be careful on the way!

Don't worry, Your Highness.

Among us, Xuanyuan is not very powerful. He's not that smart either.

But he wants to make a contribution as much as anyone does.

- Changsheng.\N- Teacher, are you okay?

This is the last Cultivation Pill we have.

Don't worry about me. I'm okay.

I'm worried about Gou Hanshi the most right now.

I don't know what happened to him.

Please take care of yourself before worrying about others, okay?

- Father Xin. \N - His Holiness is waiting for you.

Kid, you always have us worried about you.
