I've been building trains
for a little while.

So, today we're building
a winter train heist.

It's a minifig build
where some criminals

have set off an avalanche,
stopping a steam train

so that they can rob the mail coach.

on a mountain pass.

We're playing to our strengths.
Ryan is gonna build the train,

and I'm gonna direct him whilst

What are we getting for summer?

Everyone's come to the beach.

They're gonna get some ice-cream.

The ice-cream shop is
currently being stolen

by a giant living ice-cream.

It's absurd,
but that's what we do best.

We've had sentient cheese...

..which was living cheese.

And now we have a living ice-cream.

Yeah, so maybe our theme is
just we do living food items.

Yeah, maybe.
It is a niche market.

There's something just about
bringing the unrealistic to life.

Just taking something that isn't a
real thing and making it sentient,

giving it life, giving it a purpose.

It's up to our own imaginations,

which is, honestly,
where we work best.

So I think we need to really
push that element of our build.

What colour do you wanna

It's gonna be orange.

Autumn is super tricky for us as
Queenslanders, 'cause Queensland's

basically summer, summer,
summer, slightly colder.

What captures autumn?

People roasting marshmallows.

The whole camp...
This is... So it's like camping.

What's our overall story?
Or is it just... camping?

So, the idea for our build today
is camping in autumn.

We're gonna have tents.
We're gonna have a little caravan.

We're gonna have minifigs roasting
some marshmallows by a fire.

Lots of trees in a forest.

How long do you think
to do that caravan?

Well, I've already got
the foundation done.

That's your family one, right?
Yeah, it is.

Just a little nod to my nana
and pop,

saying, "Thank you for starting
my journey to come on this show

"so long ago."
Oh, I love it.

My nana and pop are a big reason
for why I'm actually here.

It was them who went,
"Why don't you build our caravan?"

And that was actually the build
which got me through

to 'Lego Masters',

and they've supported me
the whole way through.

And so I'm making a little,

small-scale version
of their caravan,

which is just to say,
you know, "Without you guys,

"this journey probably
wouldn't be here."

Oh, this is the first time
we've ever had

a dedication in the form
of a caravan,

hidden in a build.

A grandparent caravan dedication...

It's awesome being given
a second chance on the show.

Having gone through the experience
of being eliminated,

it makes us even hungrier to take
this chance we've been given.

But we're getting caught up with
a lot of stumbling blocks

in terms of coming up with ideas.

A massive fruit tree type of thing.

We are behind all the other teams,

caught in analysis paralysis.

Definitely falling back
into some old patterns here.

I think that's too complicated.

I started to panic a little bit.

We don't have a clear story.

We really wanna create
something epic and grand,

One of my favourite things
to do in spring

is visit the international
flower festival,

so that's where my mind goes,
"Let's build a flower festival."

To try and make it look epic,

we're thinking of putting a massive
rainbow behind the flower festival -

so you've got all these people
doing festival things,

and then you have the rainbow at the
back that gets the eye's attention.

I'm excited to build a big rainbow.

I've been dying to, like, do plants
and things, this whole time.

(CHUCKLES)

We wanna prove
that we have technical skills,

because our last build,
that we got eliminated on,

we didn't really demonstrate
any technical skills.

And this rainbow will help
demonstrate that.

So stoked to have the chance
to come back,

but it ain't gonna be easy
to get back into the competition,

so I definitely wanna put
every single last minute

of blood, sweat and tears
into making a damn good build.

What do you like? What do
you dislike about their build?

Well, first and foremost,

it is about meeting the brief
of the challenge.

We're at minifigure scale,

and I feel like using autumn
as a picnic scene, if you like...

..I think that's a great idea.

And you can have all those orange
and sort of dark red trees,

showing off all those colours,
which really do make it autumn.

So that's... that's pretty cool,
for me.

It comes down to execution of that.

As I'm building, I'm just stressing
a ton about what's a big feature.

I've lost all track of time.

I've just been doing
the same thing forever.

It's pretty cool.

I love our story.

We have the gigantic
ice-cream monster,

and, someone selling ice-cream on
the beach - he's not a fan of that.

Alright. Our winter heist -

GABBY: Building today
has made me realise

that I don't want to stop
doing this -

I want back in, more than ever.

And now we're, like, really...
Fingers crossed, yeah. Yep.

Because you were out so recently
and now you're back,

did you feel like you were, like,
match-fit to come back and go again?

Yeah, still had the calluses.

Yeah.

The train is coming out of this
tunnel on a trestle bridge.

The avalanche,
created by criminals...

has come down and blocked the path.

There's little hold-up scenes
on the train.

If you look carefully in
through the windows,

you'll see other criminal activity.

There's the getaway vehicle.

They've set off more charges,
blowing up the top of the mountain.

So there's more avalanche
on its way.

One thing that I have learnt

is that mountains have an incredible
effect in a Lego build

but my gosh, they're a time-sucker.

They really are.
They really are.

They really eat a lot of time

and the risk is,
if you don't get it done,

it looks terrible.

Brickman, what's your thoughts
on Winter?

So, if we were to look at
the sheer volume

of Lego bricks
that you've laid down,

for a long time, Gabby -
for the best part of seven hours -

you were slogging.

Yeah.
You were really laying down bricks.

We've got an amazing train.
It looks great.

You've got some real
technical tricks

but that train is nothing without
the mountain that sits behind it.

They're so coherent together.

Without the scene-setting,
you've got nothing!

And also, we have a bit of a bonus
behind the mountain -

a prospector, a miner,
hidden away inside the model.

To see that is absolutely fantastic.

There is a couple of
missed opportunities -

I would love to have seen
the robbers on top of the train

or repelling down out of the train.

A little bit more action to
entice us into what's happening.

So, the problem with the phoenix is,

how do we get it back
to that Minifigure scale?

Now, you did manage to do that
by having our birdwatchers.

Yeah.
Having them in their little shed.

The problem is those birdwatchers
are tucked away in the corner.

It's very difficult to see exactly
who and why and what's going on,

as far as that goes.

Obviously, technically,
this is a great build.

I still don't know how
those wings are attached.

I... It's something of
a minor miracle.

I don't understand
the science behind it.

(WHISPERS) Magic!

I did see you with Liquid Nails,
to be fair, Dawei, so...

Oh!
..we will be testing it.

The fact that you've turned those
branches and leaves downwards -

it gives your tree
significant presence

and is a great way of making the
tree seem a lot bigger and thicker,

without having to lay
tens of thousands of bricks.

So overall, a great technical build

and certainly incredibly colourful.

a character of this size.

I'd never built a bear in general,
or really an animal, at this scale.

It's so different when
you actually start building

and you notice all the little things

was the head.

than I thought there was.

The bear?

There is a lot of room
for improvement in it,

however...

that is entirely masked by the head.

That's the one thing that's
catching our attention.

A bear has black eyes naturally

but in this instance, if we were to
take those white components off,

we can't see where it's looking.

It's got that blank stare -
which they do, in nature -

but not in Lego.

One of the things where
you could have improved -

Lego Minifigures.

If you had all of those figures
all in the middle,

running away from the bear,

that's one thing

and that would have really gone,

because we really worked together
as a team

and to get the bear's eyes right,

This is like... I mean, I've felt
so many emotions on this show

but this is by far the most uplifted
and happy I've felt.

or I've loved, you know,
making Hamish laugh.

I've loved doing many things
on this show

but to know we're back in and we've
earned our place back on this show,

it's... it's amazing.

We did it.

but you guys came back and made
something incredible

that you should be super-proud of.

This has just been a bonus.
Yeah.

Like, getting on the show -
incredible.

Getting to come back and build
something that we both love - insane

and, like, getting to once again

make one of our absurd ideas
into reality...

That's what we're all about

and we got to do that today

and we're just thankful for
another experience to do that.
