(male narrator) In the Great Hall of the Justice League

there are assembled the world's four greatest heroes

created from the cosmic legends of the universe

Superman.

[train horn honking]

Wonder Woman.

Batman.

Aquaman.

And those three junior Superfriends

Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog.

Their mission, to fight injustice

to right that which is wrong

and to serve all mankind.

[instrumental music]

Hank, we're almost there.

I figure it's about a mile to the gold fields, Ben.

(male narrator) The Blue Jet flies

over the richest gold-mining country in the world.

People may not realize it but we're doing them a favor

'destroying all the gold in the world.'

(Hank) Yeah, well, they will, after a while.

On automatic.

(male narrator) Hank and Ben turn on the blue ray extractor

which transmits a weird beam of light

down out of the Blue Jet

into the ground below.

The blue beam is penetrating, Hank.

(male narrator) Underground, the blue beam spreads out

in thousands of circles

through the rich gold-bearing ore.

Tiny electrical particles

called quarks flow out of the gold

and stream upward through the blue beam.

The gold remaining in the earth is turned

into a worthless residual metal

while the quarks fill the empty cylinders

in the aircraft as Hank and Ben watch.

(Marvin) I must not talk out of turn in class.

I must not talk.

[squeaking]

How can I write this sentence a hundred times

if the chalk won't write?

Hmm. Huh?

What the heck's going on?

[alarm blaring]

"Skyscraper in danger of collapse."

(male narrator) The tower of a skyscraper under construction

is in danger of collapse.

A steel girder has broken.

I'd better see if I can help save that building.

(male narrator) Another emergency flashes onto the SDI screen.

The underwater face of a great dam is cracking.

Strange coincidence.

The steel girder and the dam both breaking at the same time.

And the blackboard in my classroom too.

It just fell apart a little while ago.

That is strange.

The steel girder, the dam and the blackboard, all at once.

Why?

[instrumental music]

- Look, it's a bird! - It's a plane!

No, it's him! It's Superman!

(male narrator) Has Superman arrived in time

to save the building from collapse?

- Yay, Superman! - Hooray!

He did it!

(male narrator) Removal of the dangerous loose girder

stabilizes the structure and prevents its collapse.

And Superman returns to the Hall of Justice

with the defective member.

Meanwhile, Aquaman speeds to save the dam from destruction.

Built of quarried blocks of stone

rising hundreds of feet into the air

the dam is anchored on both sides

to the walls of the canyon.

Mud, welling to the surface from the river bottom

shows Aquaman where water is pouring through a crack

near the river bottom.

Aquaman dives downward through the murky water

in search of the damage.

He discovers that the cement along the topside

of one of the stone blocks has crumbled

and is being washed out.

If this block is washed out

the tremendous water pressure

may tear away the other blocks.

The entire dam is threatened.

Only solution, Aquaman himself must replace that block.

With no time to lose

he spots a pile of blocks left over

from the dam's construction.

With precise memory of the defective block's size

he chooses a replacement.

This time, it's into the upstream side of the dam.

Quickly, he again locates the problem area.

The loosened block is about to give way.

Aquaman jockeys his burden against the loosened block

and, like a giant tapered cork

the new piece slides into place.

[thud]

The job's partly done

and Aquaman streaks for the surface.

But he knows the cement is crumbling at other points.

The water pressure against the entire dam must be relieved.

[grunts]

The controls seem to be jammed.

[grunting]

I'd better get down to the spillway itself.

(male narrator) Aquaman reaches the spillway

a huge tunnel to carry the river around the dam

in case of emergency.

But here, too, the cement is crumbling.

The blocks around the gates have shifted

and the gates are jammed shut.

Carrying the boulder in front of him like a battering ram

Aquaman swims against the gates.

With the spillway tunnel open

the water pressure against the dam is relieved

and the dam is safe until permanent repairs can be made.

The block Aquaman replaced must be examined.

And with it, Aquaman heads back

for the Hall of the Justice League.

(Batman) Does anyone have any idea what might make a blackboard shatter?

Hmm. I've got it.

Snapping your fingers? Uh, I don't think so, Robin.

- I mean a sharp sound. - A sonic boom?

[groans]

(Batman) It's possible, Marvin.

Haven't you heard that a certain frequency can shatter a glass?

Like with your voice, you mean?

Yes. Let's try it. Robin?

♪ Mi ♪

♪ Sol ♪♪

Hmm. Nothing.

[yowling]

[yowling higher]

- Crumbling tumblers! - Like, wow.

Nice going, Wonder Dog.

[grunts]

But Wonder Dog wasn't yowling when the blackboard shattered.

(Batman) 'I realize that, Marvin.'

But in what other ways could the blackboard have been vibrated?

- Earth vibrations? - Right.

But I didn't feel any this afternoon.

But maybe the blackboard did. Look.

'Wonder Dog's voice shattered the drinking glass'

'but not the windows, right?'

Exactly. A tremor of one frequency

can be felt by one object and not another.

The blackboards could've been broken by an earth vibration.

We'd better find out if there were any vibrations

and if there are going to be any more.

Gee, how do we do that?

(Batman) By checking with the Seismological Bureau.

Earth vibrations might have cracked the dam.

- And the skyscraper. - Let's go.

(male narrator) Meanwhile, in the air

Wonder Woman checks out another strange occurrence.

A huge transmission cable carrying telephone messages

from one part of the country to another has broken.

Communications have been interrupted.

The cable must be repaired immediately.

Wonder Woman lowers a hook from her transparent plane

to a waiting linesman perched atop the tower.

The broken cable is attached and drawn up into the plane.

As Wonder Woman is reeling in the broken cable

elsewhere in the sky, the mysterious Blue Jet

projects its blue beam into the earth

at another gold-bearing region

The curious particles flow back up the beam into the jet plane.

Okay, Ben, we're filled up. You can shut it off.

I think we've ruined

all the gold in this part of the country.

Right. On to our next target.

(male narrator) Inside the Seismographic Bureau

the director explains how the earth tremors are recorded.

This is the getigraph.

"Geti" stands for "ground electronic tremor indicator."

(Marvin) 'Hey, there's a vibration line.'

(Wimple) 'It's called a tremor line.'

There are more than 50,000 tremors a year

throughout the world.

'Look at this model of the Earth's crust.'

'Let's pretend the rocks at this place slip.'

A tremor is produced.

It travels to the Seismological Bureau, here

and my getigraph tells where the tremor started from.

And this is where we are.

Would this tell us if there was a tremor

which could have broken the blackboards?

Or the steel girder in the skyscraper?

Or the dam?

It would tell whether there was a tremor in their vicinity.

(male narrator) While Batman and Robin are on their way back

to the Hall of the Justice League

Wonder Woman, with the broken cable safely stored

now begins to lower the new cable.

Carefully, she lowers it to the transmission tower.

There, the lineman attaches it to the crossbar

and signals to Wonder Woman.

With a precise touch, she eases her craft forward

paying out new cable across the towers.

In a few minutes, she accomplishes a task

that would take a ground crew weeks.

As she reaches the last tower

another lineman completes the connection.

The transmission line is in service once more

and Wonder Woman heads back

for the Hall of the Justice League.

There, the Superfriends examine the defective steel girder

the block from the crumbling dam

the frayed communications cable, and Marvin's blackboard.

Simple inspection of this piece of this blackboard fragment

shows it to be filled with minute cracks.

The broken end of this girder

has thousands of little fissures in it.

If the steel in the rest of the skyscrapers is like this

the whole downtown area will have to be rebuilt.

The cement that held this block, it's pulverized.

Well, look at this cable. The metal is strangely decomposed.

Batman, do you think earth tremors have caused this damage?

Marvin, Wendy, what about your seismological research?

We went through all the records for the past month.

There were no earth tremors near the skyscraper or the dam.

- Or Marvin's school. - Or those transmission towers.

Yet in each case, it's as though the material was shaken apart.

Why? Riddle.

What do all these materials have in common?

- They all come from the earth. - 'Right, Robin.'

Blackboards from a slate quarry.

The cable from a copper mine.

Cement from a limestone quarry.

Steel made from iron, also a mined material.

Our next step is to investigate the mines and quarries

these materials came from.

Maybe that's where the problem started.

What can Wendy and I do?

You kids go back to the Seismological Bureau.

Monitor every earth tremor the getigraph records.

(male narrator) Each of the Superfriends begins his task.

Superman off to check the iron mines.

Aquaman speeds to an island limestone quarry.

Wonder Woman wings off to investigate the copper mines.

Batman and Robin collect samples

of raw slate from a quarry.

As Wendy and Marvin, with the director's help

monitor the getigraph

noting every disturbance in the Earth's crust

large or small.

The Blue Jet prepares to descend on another gold field.

The blue beam projects into the ground

and the extraction of the quarks begins.

The area below us must really be rich.

The gold quarks are pure, pure blue.

Yes, there will be a very surprised

mine owner down there

'when he finds his gold has been disintegrated.'

Mr. Wimple, look at this line.

It's wavy. It's not like the others.

Strange. Very strange, very unusual.

Strange enough to put in a call to Batman?

Might be worth looking into.

Maybe another dam or skyscraper is in danger.

(Wendy) 'Where does the tremor originate?'

(Wimple) 'Why, due north of here, 50 miles away.'

May I use your radio, Mr. Wimple?

Please do.

I'll tune to the Bat frequency.

Hello, Batman? This is Wendy. Acknowledge, please.

This is Batman. Go ahead, Wendy.

(Wendy on radio) 'There is a very peculiar earth tremor'

'coming from 50 miles north of the Seismological Bureau.'

'Mr. Wimple says it's very strange.'

Thank you, Wendy. We'll investigate it.

Batman, look. A blue beam coming down from the sky.

(Batman) 'It's coming from a plane.'

Do you think that's causing the earth tremor Wendy reported?

We'll find out. Batman calling Wendy.

Go ahead, Batman.

(Batman on radio) 'We are at the scene.'

'Are you still receiving tremors?'

(Wendy) 'Yes, Batman. The pattern's continuing.'

(Batman) 'Stand by.'

Hello, Blue Jet. Hello, Blue Jet. This is Batman.

'Hello, Blue Jet projecting blue beam. Come in, please.'

- 'This is Batman.' - Don't answer.

We'd better move on, Ben.

- Blue Jet, please answer. - Look.

- Come in, Wendy. - 'Go ahead, Batman.'

(Batman on radio) 'Are you still recording tremor?'

It is disappearing from the recorder.

Then we know what's causing it, a blue beam from a blue jet.

(male narrator) As the Blue Jet arrives at its home base

which serves as both a factory

and a hangar for the airplane..

...a giant panel in the roof slides back

and the Blue Jet settles to a secret landing inside.

Immediately, from the plane's cargo space

the cylinders of blue particles are moved

across the hangar

and into the production laboratory.

They are placed in racks with previously collected material.

On a fantastic machine called the quark rectifier

the blue particles will be transformed into any metal

iron, chromium, tin, copper, aluminum

whatever is wanted or needed.

(Hank) Wow, a few more trips

and we'll have wiped out most of the gold in the country.

(Ben) And everybody will be better for it.

Sure. Instead of people wasting all their time

and energy acquiring gold

maybe they'll concern themselves

with more important things

like improving the quality of life.

(Ben) You know, Hank, I was wondering about Batman.

He must have located us through the Seismological Bureau.

(male narrator) Meanwhile, the Superfriends have brought

specimens of metal ore from the various mines

to the Earth Resources Chemical Laboratory

to find out whether the ore itself is defective.

The spectroscope can identify a metal

because each metal produces colors of its own

when placed in the chamber.

When put in the spectroscope

iron should produce these colors.

Now, let's see what our iron ore produces.

The steel in the skyscraper came from the mine

where I got this ore sample.

'Why, it hardly contains any iron at all.'

No wonder that skyscraper almost collapsed.

Let's try the copper ore.

(Wonder Woman) 'The copper ore has practically no copper in it.'

That explains the bad telephone cable.

And bad limestone was used to make the cement for the dam.

And even Marvin's blackboard

made from somehow defective slate.

So that blue jet and its blue beam are at the bottom of this.

Causing high-frequency vibrations

that effect certain minerals in the earth.

- We've got to stop them. - We've got to find them first.

We'll patrol the country and keep a watch for the Blue Jet.

- I'll take the western half. - I'll take the east.

I'll patrol the seacoasts.

Robin and I'll pick up their trail where we last saw them.

Wendy and Marvin have instructions

to call us on the Batradio, next time a strange tremor occurs.

As soon as they give me the location

I'll let you all know and maybe we can intercept that blue jet.

(male narrator) While Wonder Woman, in her transparent plane

hurries to patrol the eastern half of the country

Aquaman stations himself offshore

Superman speeds west

and Batman and Robin begin a ground patrol

in search of the Blue Jet.

You see, Wonder Dog

these lines on the graph indicate ordinary earth tremors.

When the blue beam causes the tremor

'it makes a wavy line, kind of like this.'

[whispers] You divert them while I sabotage the seismograph.

(Ben) 'Hello there, friends.'

- Gee. - What's the matter?

(Marvin) 'I never saw a pair of shoes like that before.'

I don't know why people are always so surprised.

When you're as short as I am

you've just got to do something logical about it.

I guess you're right.

Is it alright if we look around?

We're--we're tourists.

Well, the director went to get his lunchpail

but he said it was alright if we stayed.

(Wendy) 'So I guess it's alright if you do too.'

Say, what's that gadget?

It records and measures tremors.

You don't say.

(Wendy) 'The director says'

'there are more than 50,000 earth movements every year'

'throughout the world.'

Most of the tremors are too slight to be felt by people.

Hey, the director said we mustn't touch anything.

Aw, it's just a little old souvenir.

[chuckles]

He's kind of playful.

If you're in charge, maybe you better follow him.

(Marvin) 'Hey, you better come back with that.'

Uh, aren't you gonna go after him too?

No, I'm going to stay right here till the director gets back.

[instrumental music]

[Hank humming]

That wasn't very nice of your friend.

Oh, well, he doesn't mean any harm.

He's kind of irresponsible.

[whispers] Did you get to the machine?

[whispers] No, she was watching me. You try. I'll divert them.

Here, take the magnet.

[pants]

- I think we lost him, Wendy. - He's a little ahead of you.

'There he is. And he put the flag back.'

Hello, Wendy, Marvin. Anything happen while I was out?

Oh, I'm glad you're back, Mr. Wimple.

You have two more visitors. Some tourists dropped in.

Oh, sir, are you the director?

I am.

Could you explain how this machine works?

Why, glad to.

The idea, which is surprising to most people

is that the Earth is really alive internally

as well as externally. Basically, the getigraph

is an electromagnetic-type seismograph.

'Using a balanced column..'

Nice dog, nice dog.

Do you know how to fetch and carry?

Fetch it, doggie.

Doesn't even know enough to fetch. Oh, boy.

(Hank) 'But how do you estimate distance?'

(Wimple) 'Well, the way to tell distance'

'is to calculate the measurement'

'between these two points.'

The getigraph is a very sensitive instrument--

Hank, time to go. We don't wish to overstay our welcome.

But I haven't explained it all.

Some other day. Ha, ha. We couldn't impose on your time.

But I have plenty of time.

[Hank and Ben laughing]

They'll never know what happened.

[Ben laughs]

(Hank) Next extracting site dead ahead.

[beeping]

(Marvin) 'There she blows!'

Wendy, Mr. Wimple! Look!

Why, it's that peculiar wavy tremor line, to be sure.

(Marvin) 'Three hundred miles from here at 85 degrees.'

- 'Correct.' - I'd better radio Batman now.

Wendy to Batman, Wendy to Batman.

Suspicious earth tremor coming from 300 miles

85 degrees from Seismological Bureau.

Roger. Your message received, Wendy.

Will tell Superman to search area.

(male narrator) Immediately, Superman begins a search of the area

Wendy has reported.

But there is no sign of the Blue Jet.

But above the sea..

[beeping]

Another good job.

We've extracted all the gold quarks here.

Yeah, well, on to another spot.

(male narrator) As the Blue Jet moves off, a wavy tremor fades

from the getigraph.

[grunts]

You're right, Wonder Dog. It's gone.

Should we report it?

Let's wait a while. It might reappear.

- That looks like a great spot. - Into hover attitude.

[beeping]

(Marvin) 'There it is. It's back, but in another place.'

One hundred and eighty degrees, 200 miles away from here.

I'm gonna report that.

Hello, Batman. This is Wendy.

The previous tremor faded out.

'But there's a new tremor 200 miles from here at 180 degrees.'

I will report the new location to Aquaman for investigation.

But, Wendy, your last bearing was in error.

Superman found nothing. Turned out to be a false alarm.

But the getigraph is most accurate.

If the Blue Jet is causing the tremor

it should be exactly where the graph indicates.

Here's hoping the second report we gave Batman

wasn't another mistake.

(male narrator) Aquaman searches for the Blue Jet

in the new location reported.

But again, the Blue Jet is nowhere to be seen.

Finding nothing, Aquaman speeds back along the coast.

(Batman) Hello, Wendy?

Your last report was another false alarm.

(Wendy on radio) 'But Mr. Wimple says we read the getigraph correctly.'

(Batman on radio) 'It's sending us on wild-goose chases.'

'Please have Mr. Wimple find out what's wrong with it.'

Roger, Batman.

There must be something wrong, Mr. Wimple.

If there is, I'll find it.

(male narrator) Because the getigraph is unable to locate the Blue Jet

the Superfriends question mine owners

about the strange blue beam.

Blue beam from the sky?

Now, what kind of nonsense is that, miss?

Then have you seen a blue jet plane?

No! The only thing I've seen is worthless rock

coming from my gold mine.

I'm telling you that if all the other gold mines go

as bad as mine this country is in deep trouble.

We are doing our best to solve the mystery, sir.

(male narrator) Escaping detection completely

the Blue Jet returns to its headquarters

and additional cylinders of quarks stack up.

(Hank) Let's test the quality of these last cylinders.

What should we make from them?

Well, iron is one of our most useful metals.

(Ben) 'Alright, iron it will be.'

[buzzes]

(male narrator) And the fantastic machine

begins transforming what was once gold into iron.

Look, one of those very peculiar wavy lines again.

(Wendy) 'Only five miles from here at 45 degrees.'

(Wimple) 'Why, that's just outside of town.'

Going out along Ninth Avenue, that's northeast.

Should we call the Superfriends?

Not if it's another false alarm.

But there's absolutely nothing wrong with the apparatus.

(Wendy) 'Still, it gave false reports.'

Not that first one. Remember?

The first time we saw the wavy line and told Batman

he found the Blue Jet Plane.

Then why has it been wrong ever since?

Something must have happened between that

first true reading and the subsequent false readings

'but what?'

[grunts]

- 'I don't know of anything.' - 'Neither do I.'

[barks]

What, Wonder Dog?

[barking]

(Wendy) Tall? And short? The tourists!

The guy who took the desk flag.

What about them?

Could they have done anything to the getigraph?

How could they? They didn't even touch it.

But Wonder Dog is right.

It worked before they came but not after.

You know, the tall one talked to us about the getigraph

while the short one played with Wonder Dog.

Could he have short-circuited some wires?

No. The getigraph is wireless

and all its components are in this cabinet.

(Marvin) Wonder Dog, did you see what he did?

[grunts]

Were you watching him at all?

Well, kind of.

[sniffing]

He's tracking the little man's footsteps.

(Marvin) 'Stay with it, Wonder Dog.'

[sniffing]

[Wonder Dog grunts]

(Wimple) 'My lunch!'

[panting]

(Wendy) 'Wonder Dog, don't you dare.'

[whimpers]

[grunts]

[Wonder Dog growling]

Whatever you're having for lunch, Mr. Wimple

sure doesn't wanna be eaten.

- 'A magnet.' - 'Of course, a magnet.'

It's interfering with the magnetic field of the apparatus.

Get rid of it.

[grunts]

Wendy, Mr. Wimple, look.

(Wimple) 'The magnet pulled the tremor line'

'away from its true direction.'

Then with the magnet removed

this line should be a true reading.

Five miles east on Second Avenue.

That's just outside of town.

Should we alert the Superfriends?

But suppose it's another false alarm.

Wendy, why don't we check it out ourselves?

- It's not far. - Alright, Marvin.

Mr. Wimple, if we're not back in 20 minutes, call Batman.

I'll do that. But you take this indicator with you.

It'll direct you right to the source of the tremor.

It's controlled by the getigraph, follow the pointer.

- Fantastic, Mr. Wimple. - Come on, Wendy.

How far have we gone, Marvin?

Almost five miles, the pointer still says straight ahead.

Somewhere around that building up ahead will be five miles.

(Wendy) 'Look, Marvin. The needle points straight to the door.'

(Marvin) Well, let's check it out.

Marvin, look.

(Marvin) 'The Blue Jet.'

The indicator points through that doorway. Let's go.

(Marvin) 'Look, it's the blue beam.'

I wonder who could be behind all this.

(Hank) Hello there.

(Wendy) 'You were the ones who came to the Seismological Bureau.'

Right.

[laughs]

And you planted that magnet.

(Hank) 'Right again. Ha, ha.'

If you've traced us here, you must have found it.

- He found it. - That mutt?

Why, he didn't even know enough to fetch and carry.

He knew enough to find your scent on the flag

and trace it right to the magnet.

Why did you plant that magnet under the getigraph?

We didn't want anyone to find us.

(Wendy) 'Why?'

People wouldn't understand

that we're really helping them with our process.

- What process? - Quarks.

- Quarks? - Quarks. Those are quarks.

'Quarks are parts of atoms.'

An elementary particle of matter.

What are you gonna do with them?

The quark rectifier can arrange the quarks

in any structure to form any element we want.

'Copper or iron, for example.'

[beeping]

(Marvin) 'What happened?'

(Ben) 'We're having a trial run to make iron.'

There it is, pure iron.

Do you use the Blue Jet to gather the quarks?

[whispers] We better stop talking.

Those kids are getting too nosy.

(Ben) Why don't we entertain them

while we have the operation moved to some other place?

Invite them to come for a flight on the Blue Jet.

[Ben clears throat]

Say, how would you kids

like to see us extract quarks?

We're going to get them at a very special place today

a fine supply.

[whispers] If we go, we can find a way

to let the Superfriends catch the Blue Jet.

[whispers] It's chancy, but okay, let's try it.

[in normal voice] Okay. Sounds like fun.

Oh, fine. Let's get aboard.

- Gosh. - Wow.

[barks]

Sir, do you know what the country runs on? Wheels.

Do you know what makes them turn? Engines.

Do you know that engines can't operate without lubrication?

Oil. Oil provides lubrication.

But look what's coming out of my well. Looks like orange juice.

You can't run engines on that.

We're doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this.

- Well, can I help? - Perhaps.

We're looking for a mysterious blue jet plane.

You know that when you extract the quarks from the earth

the minerals in nearby mines are ruined?

We've seen the evidence.

Weak steel, lousy copper cable, even crummy blackboard slate.

Oh, yeah, we know that.

You see, when we extract the quarks from gold

Besides, there's really no loss of natural resources.

By rearranging the gold quarks in our quark rectifier

we can make other more useful metals than gold.

(male narrator) As Marvin and Wendy fly on with these odd gentlemen

Batman and Robin receive a call on the Batradio.

(Wimple on radio) 'Hello, Batman.'

'This is Mr. Wimple at the Seismological Bureau.'

Go ahead, Mr. Wimple.

I'm worried about Wendy and Marvin.

They left to investigate a tremor and--

What was the location of the tremor?

(Wimple) 'Exactly five miles from my building at 135 degrees.'

It's just outside of town.

(Batman on radio) 'How long ago?'

About an hour ago, on bicycles.

They should have returned or called by now.

(Wimple) 'They haven't. I'm a bit concerned.'

(Batman) Thank you. We'll go look for them.

that mark the caverns' location.

(male narrator) Aquaman sends out telepathic instructions.

His friends in the deep are to stand by.

Should their assistance be needed

they will proceed on Aquaman's signal

to the underwater caverns

where millions in pure gold bars

are threatened by the blue beam.

Each of the large fish will carry one gold bar

to an already determined new secret location.

As Aquaman's reserve stands ready

in the sky above, the Blue Jet comes into position and.

(male narrator) Wonder Woman's transparent plane

emits a shield of super heat.

Wonder Woman's interfering with the beam.

(Ben) 'Shine it on her.'

and speeds on his way to help Wonder Woman.

Near the underwater caverns

Aquaman and friends are ready to act

That'll keep her groggy, and Superman's nowhere to be seen.

Let's beam in on that gold.

(male narrator) As time runs out, the Man of Steel returns.

Using the curved surface of the huge mirror

to reflect the blue beam away from himself

Superman is able to approach the plane

and shut off the powerful ray.

The gold in the undersea caverns is saved.

The emergency is over

and Aquaman thanks his many friends and swims for shore.

Wonder Woman takes the Blue Jet in tow

and heads for its home base.

Superman speeds back to the Palomar Observatory

to return the huge mirror.

[instrumental music]

- Batman! - Robin! Are we glad to see you.
