of the Patria y Libertad movement.

We were a new movement, recently created.

We were no more than 10,000 militants.

And Paul Schäfer was waiting for us
at Colonia Dignidad.

They gave us a tour around the campus.

The hospital, the school,
the brick factory…

It was similar to a kibbutz,

but everything was free,
it was all functional.

It was summer, they would go in the water.

And the kids looked well, very happy.

Everything was normal,
everything was fine, nice.
