who died 1890 is the name

associated with the
impasto technique.

Though of course Van gough
worked in oils, which are much

more forgiving because
they're slow drying.

There are some
drying agents that

can be applied for
speeding things up.

Van gough was a master of color.

And the way that
he layered on color

was revolutionary in his day.

He also was a genius
because of the way

that chose color and the
way that attacked the canvass.
