the not so friendly skies.

airline officials, in Atlanta,

this woman boarded
a flight to Vegas

without a boarding pass,

but she seems to think
it's the airline

that's in the wrong.

- How y'all gonna
inconvenience me?

I get on the plane and y'all
tellin' me I gotta get off, no.

Today I'm not, and I'll
make sure it's recorded.

- [Narrator] She missed
an earlier Vegas flight

because she alleges the
airline closed the gate early.

The woman then
reportedly sprinted past

the boarding agent of
another flight to Vegas

and took a seat.

Now she's live streaming
her refusal to deplane.

- What is up is I'm
sitting on this airline.

- And she tellin' me I
gotta get off the plane.

I'm trying to go to Las Vegas.

- [Narrator] An officer
asks her nicely

to chat about the
issue up front.

and forth between

the woman and other
passengers continues.

to Las Vegas, Nevada,

neither can y'all.

- [Narrator] And
it's getting heated.

passengers have gotten off

and things have cooled down,

an Atlanta police officer
steps in to reason with her.

- How you doing Mr.
Baker, Sergeant Baker?

- I'm Sergeant Baker
with the Atlanta police.

- [Passenger] Yeah.

- I'm the police supervisor.
- Okay.

- From what I understand, you
have been denied boarding

and you are not
going on this flight.

- [Passenger] I don't care
about going on the flight.

a difference.

- [Narrator] Finally,
the officer seems

to get through to the woman.

- Get off the plane.

will, Mr. Officer.

- [Narrator] She refuses
to stop streaming.

- [Narrator] According
to court documents,

the woman was charged
with criminal trespass,

but the case was disposed.

She later apologized
for the incident.

As this plane prepares to
depart Miami International,

an argument between two
passengers begins to escalate.

record a nasty dispute

between a married couple
right before takeoff.

- [Narrator] The wife is
apparently accusing her husband

of having a wandering eye

and the flight crew tries
to calm the situation down.

belligerent behavior continues.

this verbal altercation

turns physical.

plane waits to take off,

a married couple are
in a very public clash

over the husband's
alleged roving eye.

And when the plane's flight
attendants intervene...

hell breaks loose.

- [Narrator] The woman
strikes her husband

from behind with a laptop.

[passengers scream]

And moves past the attendants
to collect her carry-on.

- [Narrator] She's met by
a member of the flight crew

in the aisle.

- [Narrator] Once off the plane,

the couple was met
by airport security

but reportedly
refused to cooperate.

The husband was put
on another flight.

No charges were filed
against his wife.

Days later, the husband posted

on social media that he
can't live without his wife,

but it was not clear if
they were still together.

It used to be pets
couldn't travel

in an airplane cabin.

Today, we live in a brave
new world of furry flyers,

but they must be in a carrier
and stowed under the seat,

which can be an issue because
when it comes to pets,

passenger emotions
often run high.

- [Attendant] Grab your stuff
and come with me, ma'am.

I'm not gonna ask you again.
- Oh.

- [Narrator] This woman
is being ordered off

this Atlanta to New York
flight for not complying

when asked to take
her dog off her lap.

- You're kicking me off

and you're gonna put
me on another plane?

- [Attendant] Ma'am.

- [Narrator] And she's
not taking it well.

we're about to fight.

- [Passenger] Because I
didn't (bleep) do anything

to you guys to make
me 12 hours late

for my destination.

My dog was sitting on my lap.

I put him in the bag,
he's in the bag.

- [Narrator] But the promise
of a refund only seems

to make things worse.

- Because you couldn't
let my dog sit

on my (bleep) lap?

- [Attendant] Ma'am, let's go.

- [Passenger] (bleep) you.

(bleep) all of you.

- [Narrator] And that's
when the other passengers

start to get involved.

- I am! Shut the (bleep)--
- Hey!

[passengers exclaim]

- Turn your (bleep) phone off.

- [Narrator] The
woman takes issue

with a fellow passenger
recording the incident.

- Shut the (bleep)--
- Hey!

[passengers exclaim]

- [Passenger] Turn
your (bleep) phone off.

- [Narrator] And lashes out
by hurling a water bottle,

which reportedly
hits the passenger.

- Who did she hit
with the bottle?

- Why is he recording me?

- You just struck a
passenger with a bottle.

You talk to APD,
wait a few minutes.

exercises extreme patience.

- Ma'am, calm down.

- You asked, I'm

- [Attendant] Okay,

but I need to calm down?

- [Attendant] There's rules.

- There's rules and
I followed them.

- Nobody acting this way
flies on a flight with us.

get off your plane,

- [Narrator] As
eager as she seems

to get off the plane,

there's something she
wants to address first.

- Why are they recording me?

- That's their right.
- That's their right?

And it's my right to
tell them to stop.

- [Attendant] Not throwing
anything at anybody.

You called APD?
- Yeah.

- [Attendant] Sorry, guys.

- [Narrator] She appears to
strike a passenger's phone,

then finally gets off the plane.

She was not arrested and
no charges were filed.

According to witnesses,
the passenger gave everyone

the finger on her way out.

She later said in
a TV interview,

"I am sorry that
I got so upset,"

but maintained that the airline
crew weren't right either.

Airport security officers try
to handle problem travelers

without getting physical,

but sometimes altercations
just can't be avoided,

like this exchange at
Singapore's Changi airport.

- [Narrator] After
hearing reports

that this man allegedly
harassed another traveler,

two officers attempt
to detain him,

but the situation with the man,

who is apparently
intoxicated, intensifies.

- [Narrator] The man starts
listening to his headphones

and begins dancing.

The question now is how
this strange standoff

is going to end.

- [Narrator] At
Singapore's Changi airport,

after hearing reports that
this man allegedly harassed

another traveler, two officers
are attempting to detain him.

- [Narrator] As the man breaks
into a few dance moves,

the officers size him up,
then swing into action.

- [Narrator] The
officers struggle

to get the situation
under control.

- Hold up, hold up, hold up.

- [Narrator] Then things
escalate even further.

With baton in hand,
one officer strikes

the combative man.

The man then charges, appears
to hit the officer's face,

and sends him tumbling
to the floor.

Even when bystanders
try to help,

the man can't be restrained.

It finally takes
a team of officers

and airport staff
to subdue the man,

who is arrested and
later pleaded guilty

to multiple offenses, including
use of criminal force.

He was sentenced to 6-1/2
months in a Singaporean jail.

Authorities have their work
cut out for them trying

to please thousands of travelers
passing through an airport.

Often, a threat can be
very hard to anticipate.

It's approximately 5:30 a.m.

at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson
International,

and this family of five is
on their way to Disney World.

This woman in the
pink hat doesn't know

the family, but she
approaches them.

According to police reports,

the woman then appears to
try to grab the stroller.

In a desperate
panic, Mom struggles

to protect her children

as their father
comes over the help.

A scuffle ensues, and
the woman runs off.

Atlanta police officers step
in to apprehend the woman.

According to police, the woman

was speaking incoherently
when they approached

and seemed to be
in mental distress.

She was arrested, but
court documents state

her case was later dismissed.

When threats emerge in
an airport or on a plane,

sometimes they're too
dangerous for staff

or passengers to handle.

- [Narrator] That's where
Special Ops comes in.

- [Narrator] According to
news sources in Melbourne,

passengers watched in disbelief

as an Australian Special Ops
team removed a passenger

for rushing the cockpit after
he claimed to have a bomb.

Turns out the bomb
was a power pack

and portable speakers,

but the officers still
needed to sweep the plane

and make sure there were no
real explosives on board.

According to reports,
the man was sentenced

to 12 years in prison
for attempting to take

or exercise control
of an aircraft.

Upon appeal, it was
reduced to eight years.

This was attributed to
mental health issues,

the bomb being fake,
and a guilty plea.

[plane engine roaring]

This woman at a Bangkok
airport has climbed

onto some structural cables

and is dangling 60
feet in the air.

As travelers look on,

rescuers in safety
harnesses inch closer

to try and coax her to safety.

[spectators chattering]

She nearly falls, making
a miraculous recovery.

[spectators chattering]

Then finally, does
drop, thankfully,

into a giant airbag
that was set out

to catch her fall.

Airport crew scramble
to her rescue.

Reportedly, the woman was
picked up hours earlier

wandering the streets of
Bangkok and was brought

to TORS police at the airport.

She refused to talk to
authorities and was taken

to a hospital for observation.

Love is in the air as a
small private plane hits

the runway in Canada.

Amateur pilot, Anthony
Bordignon is taking

his girlfriend, Katherine,
for a joy ride in the sky.

- [Narrator] While the
couple prepares for takeoff,

the pilot notices something
seems off with the plane.

Their flight
continues to be smooth

until the plane makes
a sudden movement.

- Babe, babe, babe.

[Katherine screams]

- [Narrator] Amateur pilot,
Anthony Bordignon has taken

his girlfriend, Katherine,
out for a short flight.

- [Narrator] But it
seems something's wrong

with the plane.

- [Narrator] And that's
when Katherine realizes

that there is nothing
actually wrong with the plane.

[Katherine screams]

[gentle music]

- [Narrator] Faking a potential
plane crash might not be

the best way to propose.

- [Narrator] But Mr. and
Mrs. Bordignon tied the knot

a few months after
their infamous flight.

They continue to fly,

though now their trips
are a lot less scary.

[plane engine roaring]

It's standard
operating procedure

to remove certain
articles of clothing

before going through
airport security.

What happens here, though,
is anything but standard.

These two British traveling
companions are going

through Manchester airport's
routine screening process.

As they wait in line, a security
officer purportedly tells

them to take off
their coats and belts

and place them in the bins.

But the ladies take
things much further.

As officers react to
the surprise striptease,

a third woman rushes
to cover them up.

[upbeat music]

The women later claimed the
security officer directed them

to take off all their clothing,

a claim that security
officials denied.

The women ended up in court,

where they were found guilty
of public indecency and fined.

From the moment you
enter an airport

to the time you
board your flight,

navigating the whole
process can be confusing,

especially for a
first-time flyer.

In 2019, surveillance from
Dagestan Airport in Russia

shows a reported rookie
flyer approaching

a security checkpoint.

Apparently, he's unsure how
the screening process works,

and he climbs inside
the baggage scanner

with his luggage.

The security agent
sets the man straight

and sends him on his way,

luckily with no harm done
to the confused traveler

or the machine.

[plane engine roaring]

Once check in is done
and bags are stowed,

many passengers
turning their attention

to finding a good movie,

but passengers aboard a
flight from Fort Lauderdale

to Dallas witnessed
a real life drama.

- [Woman] A baby has been
delivered on our flight

from Fort Lauderdale.

- [Narrator] A
passenger traveling

with her two pre-teen
daughters suddenly went

into labor with her third
child about a month early.

- [Narrator] The 35-year-old mom

said she began
having contractions

about 10 to 15
minutes after takeoff.

In a very lucky coincidence,

a pediatrician and a nurse
were also on the flight.

They assisted with the
delivery right there

at her seat as the plane
was diverted to New Orleans.

- [Narrator] One
passenger grabs her phone

and shoots this video,

narrating the 7-pound
baby's first moments.

- [Narrator] Yes, it's a boy,
and Cristophe is probably going

to be spending a lot
of time in airplanes,

because the airline gifted
him with free flights

for the next 21 years.
