~ Hero ~ Episode 12

What's wrong?

What did you see?

At the time of my father's death, he was investigating a case.

[December 15th: Kang Kyu Hyun - Kang In Area,] [Re-development Trade Union leader, committed suicide!]

Fifteen years ago, DAESE Construction Group used violence against a Trade Union Leader,

[Missing the entire day before his death.] [Body found covered in blood.]

during a re-development project in the Kang In area.

[Violence? Betrayed by fellow union members?] [Related to father's death? Suicide?]

[Coercion, harassment by DAESE Construction?] [Gong Chil Sung???]

That's the reason why Choi Il Doo asked Gong Chil Sung to kill my parents.

[1980, April 12th. Marriage of Kang Kyu Hyun...]

They didn't want my father writing an article about it.

The reason you're telling me this is...?

After being betrayed by someone and then nearly beaten to death by Gong Chil Sung, the Trade Union Leader...

committed suicide.

His name was...

Kang Kyu Hyun.

He was Kang Hae Seong's father.

Your father's name was... Kang Kyu Hyun?

I heard you've been investigating me, but all you could find out was my father's name?

Fifteen years ago, the Trade Union Leader for the re-development of Kang In-dong was your father, right?

So, what if he was?

Are you now...

trying to take revenge for your father?

Revenge?

Revenge...?

Did you say, that Director Kang wants to take revenge on me?

Yeah.

Do you think that makes sense?

Why would Director Kang want to take revenge on me?

Moreover, who is this Kang Kyu Hyun?

That's the name of Director Kang's father.

Fifteen years ago, during DAESE Construction Group's re-development of the Kang In area,

he was the person who committed suicide.

I don't remember him anymore.

I do.

He was almost beaten to death by me.

You're right.

He was betrayed... and nearly beaten to death.

He was never successful in life either.

He was just an incompetent man who committed suicide.

You're right, that man was my father.

However, what has this got to do with revenge?

If you are just doing this for the sake of taking revenge for your father,

this is your opportunity.

Choi Il Doo is a suspect because he ordered the murder of Han Kyul.

Gong Chil Sung is also a suspect for that murder. These are the facts.

Why get in my way if you don't want to help me?

Why would I need to take revenge?

What?

Hey, Jin Do Hyuk.

Listen up.

You had a great dad, who was a DAESE Daily reporter.

But he was murdered, so you can't let it go. It's not the same for me.

Why would I risk my life to take revenge for a person who committed suicide?

I won't do that.

Then, why does it have to be DAESE Group?

Why does it have to be DAESE Group?

Because they are the best...

and the most famous.

That's impossible.

What?

If Director Kang wants to take revenge on me,

then why would he be helping me?

Furthermore, he's putting his utmost effort into his job. Am I right?

If he wanted to take revenge on you,

then why would he save you this time?

Tha... That...

You're right.

There's a possibility that his father committed suicide.

But, I didn't kill him. Why me? Did I do wrong?

What son wouldn't take revenge for his father who was wronged?

I think Director Kang is trying to take revenge on us both.

That's why he deliberately got close to your daughter.

If you dare say such a thing one more time...

Director Kang is my family, got it?

I still doubt Director Kang's intentions.

I doubt your intentions even more.

Don't you know it is very dangerous for me to meet with you like this?

If you have anything to tell me, just convey the message to Director Kang!

Chairman.

The Chairman won't believe you.

No matter what you might say about me taking revenge on him...

Regardless whether your Chairman believes me or not,

that has nothing to do with me.

I'm not here to start an argument. I'm here to investigate the truth.

So, you're not taking revenge?

Okay, I got it.

Ahh...

There's one more thing.

You told Jae In to not get in your way.

So what?

What's "your way"?

I think it's for the Chairman to smoothly become the President.

Do you have any sense of honor?

If he sees your face right now,

your father, looking down from heaven, will cry for you.

I remember that my father investigated your father.

He wasn't a bastard like you.

Who are you to dare say such things?

I've always been persistent so as to never lose to someone like you.

Do you know what I've gone through in order to get to this point?

You're right... I don't know what kind of life you had,

but I do know what kind of person you are.

Get lost.

Kang Hae Seong, I'm very disappointed.

So, your goal is to help a murderer become the President of the Republic of Korea?

Mobilize the Republic of Korea's representatives, cover the citizens' eyes and ears,

and elect that dirty murderer, criminal, and unforgivable trash as President.

That's unacceptable.

[DAESE GROUP:] [Leader in Development. Leader in Murder.]

[Lost my home and my father overnight.] [DAESE just ignored it.]

[Choi Il Doo is a murderer.] [He must be held responsible for my father's death.]

I'm thinking of using this opportunity to simply give up on President Gong.

Dad, why are we here?

There's something that I have to do.

Is it wasted if you give up?

I think Director Kang is trying to take revenge on us both.

That's why he deliberately got close to your daughter.

If Kang Hae Seong deliberately got close to Choi Il Doo for the sake of taking revenge,

won't Choi Il Doo figure it out?

Even if he's his son-in-law, he should have checked him out.

The harassment and beating by Gong Chil Sung, and then the suicide...

it's possible that Choi Il Doo may not remember.

You may be right.

If not, it's impossible for him to not have even the slightest reaction.

The most important thing when you're kicking, is the angle.

The power comes from the angle.

What's wrong with my angle?

It's not bad.

Left side, 200 times.

Huh?

I have been kicking with both my right and my left leg...

Didn't you say that it's simple?

That fellow's ambition and Gong Chil Sung... I don't want to care anymore.

I won't leave alone a single one of them who's helping Choi Il Doo!

As long as there are competitors left, the game must continue on.

Next is the third round.

Trade Union Leader, you can only do that much?

Didn't I already say that you don't have to worry about the Kang San Police?

Trade Union Leader!

Just manage your own office well. Have you hidden the account books?!

[Gong Chil Sung the muscle...] [Kang Hae Seong the brain.]

I thank you for your great articles.

It's us who should be thankful.

I got it. Thank you.

Those exotic women who dance the tango on the Iberian Peninsula*,

* the extreme south western peninsula of Europe that contains Spain and Portugal.

today's the day such women are looking for you.

That is what I think.

[Kang Hae Seong often meets and holds discussions] [with reporters from other newspapers.]

You were really great out there.

We should go out again for another round.

You know the recent golf trip I took?

Yes.

I was pursued and caught by a reporter.

That's something that can easily be taken care of, so please don't worry.

Oh, really?

Then, I'll trust you to take care of it.

Hey...!

You already have a fiancée so why are you looking at me like that?

Looks like you have good taste. You're quite good at choosing people.

[Kang Hae Seong close relationships with politicians] [generate twisted articles that get people's attention.]

Hello.

Hi.

Hello.

Hello.

Ah, I was wondering...

why are you only engaged and not yet married to him?

Because Oppa is too busy with his work.

Tchh... That's just an excuse.

You wretch.

I got it.

[Why is Kang Hae Seong avoiding marriage] [and focusing only on serving Choi Il Doo?]

Take care.

- See you.

I'm very happy today. Go back.

Okay. Bye.

Excuse me...

Hello.

Recognizing your beauty from behind, I've finally found you.

If I'm not troubling you, have a cup of tea with me?

Oh... That?

They met each other at a party.

It was there that Director Kang fell in love with her at first sight.

Actually, another reporter was assigned to attend.

I heard that Reporter Kang appointed himself the job instead.

But, why do you keep asking me about my friend?

By getting to know your friends, I'll be able to know the kind of person you are.

[Just after joining DAESE Group, Kang Hae Seong began] [a relationship with Choi Il Doo's daughter. Was it deliberate?]

Ahh... This is awesome, huh?

Yah... how great would it be if you hung one of these in your office?

You have very good taste in art, don't you?

Oh! Hi! Nice to see you.

How much does one of these pictures cost?

Aihh.... Price is not a problem for these.

The value of these pictures can grow to many times

or even ten times their original price. No one knows for sure.

Then that's more important than current value.

Of course.

Both of you...

The Congressmen he's on good terms with would have at least one or two such pictures in their homes.

Did Hae Seong ask you to do that?

Or, did he just give away those that he picked?

Aghassi*, you do know that, right?

* Miss

What?

Who were such paintings given to? What was the purpose? You do know, right?

That...

Let's just see the list of names of those who bought them.

It's over there, right?

Why are you doing this?

Aghassi, I beg you to open your eyes wide. Don't fall too far.

[Art pieces in gallery of Choi Il Doo's daughter] [used as bribes to politicians.]

[Kang Hae Seong is the culprit.]

[Just after joining DAESE Group, Kang Hae Seong began] [a relationship with Choi Il Doo's daughter. Was it deliberate?]

Oppa.

Have you seen the article?

Why do you always look at their homepage?

Didn't I tell you to not believe their nonsense?

Even the other newspapers have published the same thing.

[Kang Hae Seong promoted DAESE Group Director only after] [two years. Relationship with Chairman's daughter criticized.]

[Was it a deliberate act? Developed a quick] [relationship - Very suspicious.]

Oppa.

Why do I have to hear these kinds of comments?

They're saying you got close to me deliberately. Why do I have to hear this?

Ho Kyung.

You do know that isn't true, right?

Then, why are you allowing them? Exactly, why?

Because it's not worthy of me retaliating to the words said by these people.

Even if I'm this furious?

Even if everyone is pointing their fingers at me?

Then, what do you want me to do?

"I didn't get close to you deliberately..."

Write an article like that?

Let's go out.

[ ~ President Gong Chil Sung ~]

See, Chairman...

Even if all the people in this world don't believe it,

we know, don't we? We know that Young Deok Daily is right.

Please re-consider it.

Chairman, you're initiating a disaster by raising the tiger now.

I actually didn't want to say this to you.

But, Director Kang...

has another woman.

What?

You know Officer Joo Jae In of the Kang San Police Department, don't you?

You should be able to remember how she treated you.

Can you back up what you've just said?

Of course. Think about it once more.

If it's not true, why did Director Kang let the Kang San Police go unchallenged like that?

Dad, what's wrong?

Who was it, Chairman?

You...

don't say another word. Just deal with Young Deok Ilbo and the Kang San Police.

I got it.

[Young Deok Daily]

[DAESE Group Director Kang Hae Seong is connected to] [the reason why Oh Dong Ki changed his statement.]

What other connections could there be?

He threatened Oh Dong Ki's mother forcing him to not tell the truth.

[Kang Hae Seong promoted in just two years] [becoming Choi Il Doo's most trusted person.]

[There were suspicions that he deliberately] [became close with Choi Il Doo's only daughter.]

Khaaa...

What does that mean.... that "Khaaa"?

Am I wrong?

Not only was he seducing his daughter, but he's managed to get a huge inheritance of power and fame.

That's why I uttered the "Khaaa".

Officer Oh,

no matter what, you'd never be able to accomplish that.

Omo! Officer Wang, why do you always find fault with me?

[Kang San Police]

Hey! Hey! Hey! I don't care if you have a fault or not.

Where is Team Leader?

Team Leader, is there something worrying you?

That Kang Hae Seong...

what other misdeeds could he have done in the past?

I'm not so sure. But if we are meticulous in our searching,

we may be able to find many of them.

However if he denies them, unless we find hard evidence we can't do anything.

Maybe there is still hope.

Please tell me, what did you mean by that?

You wished that someone would pull you out.

Because these words are carved into your heart, that's why you're doing this, right?

It's not too late.

You can tell me even now.

You only have to say that Gong Chil Sung killed Han Kyul and that Choi Il Doo ordered him.

I will catch both of them.

That way, you'll have taken your revenge, right?

If you help us now,

- I can appeal for... - Officer Joo.

I believe that there must be a reason for you to do this.

Without good reason

- you wouldn't do such bad things. - The Chairman...

didn't order anyone to kill.

I don't know if Gong Chil Sung has murdered anyone or not.

Revenge?

Where did you hear this from that you'd come and find me? I don't understand.

Director Kang...

I'm warning you.

Without the existence of any real evidence,

if you continue to investigate matters regarding the Chairman or President Gong,

it won't be just a simple suspension.

I beg you, please.

Don't continue the investigation.

Okay.

Continue to follow him.

[ ~ Director, Kang Hae Seong ~]

It's not too late.

You can tell me even now.

Don't say another word...

just deal with Young Deok Ilbo and the Kang San Police.

They said that they would let us grow our crops. I even borrowed money.

And yet, he now says they're too expensive.

Didn't you sign a contract?

Once again... they didn't publish any articles denying it.

[DAESE Daily: Of 1,250 participants,] [two-thirds are students.]

If a man states there'll be a postponement to his date of marriage,

there must be a reason for it.

What reason?

That, you should understand the most...

N... noona, why are you doing this?

Do you want to see me resign my job?

Even if you deny it, do you think the truth will disappear by itself?

Framed! Framed! I'm being framed!

Okay, let me review it and understand the case some more.

- I will contact you later. - Okay, take care.

Take care. Bye.

What is this?

- What is that? - It looks like a fine notice.

[Seoul Central Court. Simple Order.] [Violation of News Regulations.]

It seems that we have violated a regulation and they want us to pay a fine.

What?

A fine of 10 million won*?

* 10 million won = 8,500 USD

This is Young Deok Daily.

Ah! Yes! Yes! Yes!

What?

You want to remove your advertisements?

What?

No... No matter what, how can you suddenly...

Hello?

He hung up.

Why did he want to remove his advertisements suddenly?

His customers said if he continues placing advertisements in our newspaper,

they would organize a boycott of his business.

This is so strange.

Why can't I load our homepage?

Did you exceed the time limit to log in?

I think our homepage is being shut down.

Shut down...?

We're from the National Tax Bureau. We're here to do a check of tax records.

We've received some reports that...

this publication business was established by a mafia leader to do money-laundering.

We intend to do a thorough investigation of Young Deok Daily's sources of income and cash flow.

You're all to go for questioning at the Tax Bureau's Inspection Office.

Inspection Office?

W... we didn't pay our taxes?

Confiscate everything!

Hey!

Why are you doing this? What are you doing?

- Don't move! - This is very important!

- Just a minute. - Wait!

No!

Ahjussi, you can't touch the camera.

What should we do?

- Get lost! - What should we do?

Jung, go and wake uncle. He has to eat breakfast before he goes to work.

He's not here?

Where is that guy? He worked all night, again?

Omma.

What does "self-destruct" mean?

What?

[Young Deok Daily publishes fake news,] [and consequently is about to self-destruct.]

Oh my! What is this?

Did something happen to Uncle?

Oh my...

Hello.

H... hello.

By... by any chance, do you know what happened?

I'm not sure either. I rushed here once I saw the article.

But, why is it the Inspection Office? Did our Do Hyuk do something wrong?

Don't worry. I'll verify it and give you a call later.

The Inspection Office investigation will give them a taste of their own fruits.

You should have done this earlier.

It was I, who underestimated them.

We're in the same profession but I didn't foresee their investigation, would be so thorough.

What's wrong?

Till when do you want to postpone the wedding?

Right now, your situation is more important.

It won't be too late if we hold the wedding after that matter is finished.

Let's put Young Deok Daily aside first. What about Kang San Police?

Even if we don't use harsh measures to deter them,

they can't investigate any longer anyways.

Really?

So he's saying that he's leaving the Kang San Police Department alone?

We no longer have any suspicions.

So, there's no need to provoke the police intentionally.

Chairman, why do you disregard my words?

This thing is not as easy as you thought!

He's only doing so because of that woman.

Didn't I tell you to stop doubting?!

Isn't it settled now that Young Deok Daily has shut down?

It's reached the point where I should stop being suspicious of Director Kang. So should you!

Chairman!

Damn!

Do you have any sense of honor?

If he sees your face right now,

your father, looking down from heaven, will cry over you.

Don't worry, all of you.

Because you just have to say the truth...

How did this happen?

What else could it be?

It's definitely Kang Hae Seong who is behind this.

All reporters, please come this way...

except for Jin Do Hyuk.

Jin Do Hyuk will be questioned separately.

What?

Reporters, please come this way.

[Statement of Declaration]

Excuse me.

We will definitely pay our income taxes once we receive our wages.

Not only haven't we received our wages,

we even mortgaged our houses to start this publication, so, we didn't think of paying taxes.

Okay. Please write those facts on the form.

What?

All the threats that the mafia leader made to you and that you've never received your wages...

Write that on the form.

No! No! No! It's not like that.

Don't you guys feel this is weird?

Inspector.

Why do we need to be questioned? What do you mean "not paying taxes"?

What money did you use to establish the business?

Ahh... We used the money that was buried underground.

Didn't that money originate from a violent, criminal organization?

No, it didn't.

Jin Do Hyuk...

because you were stalking someone, you were locked up in detention, right?

What?

Moreover, you were stalking Congressman Park Sang Hun,

and your reputation was ruined for photoshop-ing pictures.

You also lied that you're a doctor, barged into a hospital, and took away a patient.

You stalked President Gong Chil Sung, Chairman Choi Il Doo, and Director Kang Hae Seong.

You also were stalking the Prosecutor in charge of Choi Han Kyul's case.

- I wasn't stalking. I was gathering materials... - Who is the person backing you?

Is it Jo Young Deok?

What?

- What do you mean? - Why are you covering for Jo Young Deok?

Did you accept any money from him?

Tell me.

What is it?

Was it threats or violence?

It wasn't like that. I'm a reporter and he's the President!

Reporter?

President?

I am the one behind all of this.

I am the one who is nurturing them, and they were all my orders.

Please, let the reporters go.

President!

Stand up!

Let go of me!

What are you talking about? "The one behind all of this"?

Stand up!

- Let go of me! - Stand up!

President, what are you talking about? Say something!

President!

You used violence against Choi Il Doo after your prison release and established a publication.

You buried your former underlings...

looks like you're very obstinate.

You "mafia" people are all alike, with your thuggish behavior.

Who asked you to...

check into the background of Chairman Choi Il Doo?!

The Democracy Party Congressmen?

Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry, Noona.

Okay.

You're here.

How did you know?

I asked around, of course.

What did they say?

I don't really know either. What the hell do they want to investigate?

I'll help you ask around.

Are you okay?

Thank you for coming.

It won't be too big a deal, don't let it get to you.

Hey... what time is it now?

4 a.m.

The President still hasn't been released?

Yeah.

All of you are allowed to go now.

What about our President?

We still have something we need to investigate.

What would that be? What'd you need to investigate?

How can you call yourself an Inspector and charge innocent people?!

I think it's better if you all go.

Why do only we get to leave? We're all Young Deok Ilbo members.

Our President hasn't done anything wrong.

What else do you need to investigate?!

Why are you guys doing this?!

If you're curious about something, just ask us.

Aih... Seriously... they're really going overboard.

What's the purpose of establishing the publication office?

What weapon did you use to force your reporters?

Who manipulated and forced Jin Do Hyuk to establish a publication office?

Are they Congressmen from the Democracy Party?

Answer me. Jo Young Deok!

Jo Young Deok!

Didn't you hear me asking you to answer my question?

You're right... Inspector.

I was indeed a mafia leader.

After being imprisoned for 15 years,

I realized I'd become not only someone with no place to go,

but also someone who had nothing and was of no use to anyone.

For someone like me,

the person who provided lodging, food, and care...

was reporter Jin Do Hyuk.

I, who had considered murdering his father...

was treated as if I was his own father.

That was reporter Jin Do Hyuk.

I only wanted to give to him,

he who took care of me when I was of no use

and had no one to depend on, a little help.

So that's why I established the publication office.

You asked me whether I forced them...

I didn't.

They were like my family to me.

Who in this world would force their own family to do things against their will?

Was there any manipulator?

There wasn't.

No one ordered us around. It was all done voluntarily.

We want to be the voices of those who have been neglected and wronged.

Inspector...

If there were any mistakes during the process of our interviews,

we are willing to accept any punishment.

But, if we didn't commit any crime,

I beg you... please verify the truth.

Is everything alright, President?

Of course, everything is alright.

Why are all of you here?

It seems that there was confusion due to the massive reports from everywhere.

Therefore, there were misunderstandings.

Fortunately, thanks to Officer Joo's help and testimonies by the victims,

there is no longer any suspicion.

We had no choice but to have interrogated him.

Thank you, Officer Joo.

You're welcome.

Thank you, Officer Joo.

I understand now why Choi Il Doo came out in a wheelchair.

This is harder than I expected.

You can still joke in this situation.

President...

Ta-da!

Have a seat.

Don't joke around.

- President, hurry and have a seat. - Hurry! Have a seat.

Have a seat! Give it a try!

Okay. Be careful, don't trip.

I'm so jealous.

1, 2, 3!

[Young Deok Daily]

Someone should help us with opening the door.

Thank you.

Thank you.

No matter how I think about it...

I should have just given in.

How can you utter such disloyal words?

Without our President, what can the rest of us do?

Without the head, how can the hands and legs walk?

This kind of thing happened because I'm a President with a criminal record.

Aish. Seriously...

If that's the case... Oh... then you can just be our Association Chairman.

Let's make the change once it's our first anniversary.

Just be our Association Chairman.

We can just make someone else on our team the publisher.

Do all of you really want to continue with this?

I've developed more guts now.

Me too.

We'll just have to squash them.

Paying the 10 million won* fine will be a problem.

* 10 million won = 8,500 USD

Only after we've paid it can we get the computers and our stuff back.

- Ah... My stocks... - Shut up!

I'll shut up.

I don't think it'll be enough even if we use our backup money.

It's 4 million won*. Let's go and gather it up.

* 4 million won = 3,500 USD

Yeah. Isn't there a saying that "a penny saved is a penny earned"?

Okay. For that...

cheers.

- Cheers! - Cheers!

Oh! So delicious.

It was really so offensive, what they did.

They had no other moves so they did that kind of thing. Bastards.

Uncle, is prison scary?

Didn't I tell you that I didn't go to prison?

You won't be seized and locked up again?

Didn't I tell you that it won't happen?

Sol and Jung... don't worry, hmm.

You two know me, don't you?

I only have guts and spirit.

That's why, isn't it better if you became rich?

How much do you need?

Don't worry. Anyway, you can't help out much.

Let's sell the house.

How many times can I help you in my life?

If the three of us didn't exist,

you'd definitely sell. You think I don't know that?

What about the kids? Where do you expect them to stay?

Ah...! Doesn't the publication office have rooms?

Ahhhh...

Is that okay?

But... Uncle can't bully Mom in the future.

That's why it's okay.

What are you doing?

Oh! We have telepathy.

I was about to call you.

How is everyone?

Everyone is thinking of not giving up, right?

Hey. You still don't know me?

In Jin Do Hyuk's dictionary...

...there are no such words as "give up".

It will be my last night here today.

What?

I'm selling this house to pay the fine.

Our Young Deok Daily has to start running again.

Aigoo... So thoughtful of you...

How can this woman say such words to Oppa?

What Oppa?

Tell the truth... I'm more like a Noona, right?

I'm always taking care of you and protecting you. Am I wrong?

That's true.

Thank you.

I've troubled you again today.

Hey... Why do you become so serious all of a sudden?

I'm just joking. Are you angry?

Actually, I'm not good at anything.

Hey, since you're keeping silent all this time does it mean you're agreeing with that?

You could say... "Oh yeah, you are good at something."

"You're good at doing this." "You're good at doing that."

You have to say something like that for the conversation to continue, right?

You really don't have any manners.

Do you know why I like you, Jin Do Hyuk?

What?

Hello? Hello, hello....

What is wrong with that woman?

I didn't hear wrong, did I?

I heard that you need some cash.

So, I've talked to the landlord and got this.

Is it really okay for you to do this?

Of course, we're alright with this.

But, you won't feel uncomfortable, will you?

No, I welcome you wholeheartedly.

Welcome.

This is great.

Frankly speaking, there haven't been any other elders.

I think it'll be very helpful to the kids too.

Please take good care of me.

Hey! This is too much.

What is too much?

Hyung, we're also a part of Young Deok Daily.

You provided the rest of the money yourself. What are we then?

Hey...

here's the money I got from selling all those wigs that I had collected at the market.

- Does anyone want those wigs? - Hey!

Although I was planning to save for the future, it's not much.

Here is my rent money for this month and next.

I've decided to stay with my mother in the future.

I've sold all my stocks!

- Give it to me. - How much is it?

- How much is it? - Only 600,000 won?

Thank you.

Okay. I'll take these as office operating funds.

Let's stop wasting time and go get my computer back.

Let's go! Let's go and pay our fine!

Okay. Let's go!

Let's go!

- We're leaving! - We'll be back!

Okay.

[Young Deok Daily]

Young Deok Daily will not die!

- Will not die!

- Let's go! - Let's go! GO! GO! GO!

Yes, President? Yeah. They're on the move.

Yes.

It looks like Young Deok Daily still wants to move forward.

What should we do? Let's meet up.

It's not convenient now.

It seems you're more relaxed now.

I think it's because I've let go of a lot.

Many of your supporters, especially the female ones, felt pity towards you.

All of them stated that although it's a mistake that men will possibly commit,

you also were taken advantage of.

Since I'm aware of the mistake I committed,

I should know how to take responsibility for it, right?

I hear Park Su Jeong, who attempted suicide, has woken up.

Please comment on that.

I only hope, that she'll recover from the wounds in her heart as soon as possible.

Hello.

Noonim, are you okay?

I'm so much better.

So well behaved...

Where is Jung?

J...Jung? Where are you?

What is that? Where did you get that?

He said that an unni asked him to give it to ahjumma.

What?

Wait a minute.

[I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.] [You must recover.]

What is that?

Who is she?

Is she someone that you recognize?

No. There's no name written...

What did you say? What's with Young Deok Daily?!

If Park Su Jeong is discharged,

what are you going to do?!

I will pay more attention.

- Mom, I'm leaving. - Okay, it's very cold. Hurry!

Okay, it's hard on you too.

- Okay. Be careful. - Yes.

- It's very cold. Go in quickly. - Go ahead. Go.

Be careful.

What's wrong?

What's wrong that Gong Chil Sung has to come here personally?

Who says I can't meet with Officer Joo in person?

What do you want?

For you to go someplace with me.

Yeah, pass the phone.

Hello. Please hold on.

Take the phone.

Hello?

H... hello?

Jae In... I'm alright.

Where are you? Run! Hurry! Run!

What should I do? Jae In? Jae In?

Jae In! Oh my...!

Aigoo. Good morning!

What's wrong with you?

Did... did something happen?

That... That...

That fast...?

It's good enough to be able to do it now, Chairman.

No matter what it is, everything has its own timing, right?

Now is the right time.

Director Kang, what are you doing? Hurry up and convince the Chairman.

As for that, we'll have to see how stubborn the Chairman is.

I'm sorry. If you'll excuse me...

Hello?

Let's meet.

It's not convenient for the time being.

Is it? Is that really the case?

Say something.

Such a vicious bitch!

Hello?

Hello? President Gong. President Gong!

What is that sound? Who is there?!

Kang Hae Seong... Kang Kyu Hyun's son, Kang Hae Seong.

How dare you try to trick me and the Chairman?

Who is there?

Who else can she be? Kang Hae Seong's good friend, Officer Joo Jae In.

If you don't come and fetch her, I'll kill her.

Where?

The place... where I punched your father ruthlessly.

[You have a message]

[Kang Il-dong warehouse]

[Kang Il-dong warehouse]... There's no phone number of the sender.

What is this?

Could it be sent by mistake?

Oh! That scared me.

Yes, Officer.

What? Team Leader?

Seriously... Why would you call here to find the Team Leader?

Team Leader is... Hello?

What is that? Seriously... Aishh.

Hung up without finishing the sentence.

But, where can that woman be if she didn't go to work?

Kang Il-dong warehouse?

Where?

Do you know it?

It's a warehouse that Gong Chil Sung used to go often.

Chairman.

What is it?

I've seized and am holding Joo Jae In.

What are you doing?

I've asked Kang Hae Seong to come over.

We'll have to see whether he comes or not.

I want to prove that what... I've said is true.

I'm sorry.

Who called you?

It was not important.

Should we report it to the police?

If we notify the police, there will be guns. That'll put the lady's life at risk.

Gong Chil Sung is mine.

Why are you doing this?

Aren't Kang Hae Seong and Choi Il Doo... on the same side?

I can only know after verifying it.

Kang Hae Seong, is trying to take revenge on the Chairman and myself.

Why?

Because you killed Kang Hae Seong's father?

I only did what was ordered by the Chairman.

I murdered Jin Do Hyuk's parents.

You can also say that I murdered Kang Hae Seong's father.

Choi Han Kyul, that noisy little brat...

was also strangled to death by me.

You should know...

you shouldn't be saying all of this to me.

Why would I tell you this?

Kang Hae Seong is the only one who knows you're here.

Regardless of whether he comes or not...

What I'm saying is that you will definitely die here.

So, if you have any questions, ask them.

If I do not die here, I'll personally lock you up in prison.

You will rot to death there during the rest of your life.

You'll pay for your crimes and those you've murdered by being in prison for the rest of your life!

You'll grow old and die there!

These assholes!

Reporter Jin...

be careful.

Gong Chil Sung!

Gong Chil Sung!

If you move one more step, Officer Joo Jae In will die.

Go ahead. It's okay if I die here.

After you've caught Gong Chil Sung, report to the police.

Shut up!

Chil Sung...

Don't call me like that!

What are you doing right now? What do you want exactly?

You wouldn't have come alone?

You're here with the police, right?

Where is that brat? Where's Jin Do Hyuk?

It's better for you to surrender, before it's too late.

I will definitely not betray the Chairman.

Choi Il Doo will betray you.

Don't joke.

Do you know how I've spent the past 20 years of my life?!

Idly spending 20 years of your life...

Choi Il Doo now keeps Kang Hae Seong at his side, after only 2 years.

If you're willing to cooperate with the police now, I'll plea for a lesser punishment.

You know what method Choi Il Doo used to betray me.

It'll be the same for you.

That's impossible!

Just surrender. Just end it this way.

What if I say no?

Then there's no other way out!

Are you okay?

Don't move!

Report to the police that...

Choi Il Doo, Kang Hae Seong, and Gong Chil Sung pose a dangerous threat.

Team Leader! Where are you?

Give it to me!

Where are you right now? Everything is in a mess.

Arrest Gong Chil Sung now, immediately!

What?

Immediately!

Furthermore, search for Gong Chil Sung in the neighborhood around his office.

Okay, I got it.

Let's go.

[Chairman]

[Please leave a message after the beep.]

[Director Kang Hae Seong]

[Please leave a message after the beep.]

Where do you want to go?

The headquarters in Seoul.

Got it.

- Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo!

[Progress for economy and citizens] [Our hope, Choi Il Doo]

- Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo!

- Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo!

- Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo!

Yeah, Officer Na.

Gong Chil Sung...

has committed suicide.

Why did Gong Chil Sung commit suicide?

After receiving energy to go forward from my supporters,

I, Choi Il Doo, want to once again seek election.

- Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo!

- Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo! Choi Il Doo!
