As Metropolis is being ravaged by a powerful storm

Superman is there to save the city from ruin.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice

in an all-out effort to combat the strange ray

Batman, Atom and Black Vulcan quickly consult

the Justice League computer.

The computer reads gravity destroyer ray.

Looks like Superman's going to need our help.

Look!

Not a gravity destroyer, Super Friends.

A gravity stealer!

I'm the Iron Cyclops.

I command you to leave your planet now

while you still can.

Your command is absurd.

That chrome cranium of yours better think again.

[Iron Cyclops] You will not be able to cope with my gravity collector beam.

[intense music]

[Batman] The Iron Cyclops has increased the number of gravity rays.

Look! That building's trying to break loose!

Black Vulcan and I'll join Superman.

Right. We may have to weld everything down.

And I'll find a way to confine that ray to a small area.

[rumbling]

[male narrator] As the gravity rays increase and intensify

the Super Friends go into action

in an effort to keep all of Metropolis

from floating into space.

[Superman] I've got to put this train back on the track.

[dramatic music]

Great Krypton! All creation's breaking loose.

I'll tie these down.

[buzzing]

That should hold this one.

And this one.

Zap

[Superman] Something's drawing the beams back together. Let's go!

[rumbling]

Good. Batman's got control of the beam now.

You must follow that beam. Put a stop to the Iron Cyclops.

I'll try to keep the beam focused

on the Justice League magnetoscope.

[male narrator] Following the robber gravity ray into space

Superman, Black Vulcan and Atom approach its deadly source.

So, the Iron Cyclops lives on Xeron, a planet with no gravity.

That explains why he wants ours.

[Iron Cyclops] That's right, Super Friends.

[beeping]

Great neutrons, Superman.

The Iron Cyclops has an electron militia.

You're not the only ones with fire.

The Iron Cyclops awaits you.

[Iron Cyclops sniggering]

[continues sniggering]

Soon that puny Hall of Justice will explode!

And all the Earth's gravity will be mine.

And while I'm at it, I'll collect their superpowers

and add them to my storage cells.

[dramatic music]

My powers are-are fading.

We've got to do something fast.

We're fading away to nothing.

I'll try to get through this grid and shut off the power.

[whirring]

[Atom] if I can just restore my own energies first.

Good. I've collected enough energy to restore all of us.

Superman, Black Vulcan, get ready for a recharge!

[buzzing]

Now to shut down that catastrophic gravity ray.

Now, for the Iron Cyclops.

[Black Vulcan] I'd say he's nearby. Inside this fortress.

[Iron Cyclops] Nice try, Super Friends.

But you'll need to do a lot better to stop me!

The Hall of Justice's about to be ripped off its foundation.

[male narrator] We now continue with the "Super Friends..."

At a small art gallery in Metropolis

a strange event is about to take place.

[beeping]

[music continues]

Calling the Super Friends. It's an emergency.

[male narrator] And at the Hall of Justice

Wonder Woman and El Dorado respond to the alert.

Super Friends, a monster

has stolen a treasure from the gallery.

A monster?

This sounds like a most unusual robbery.

I'll check it out, El Dorado.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, across town, an artist receives

a very bizarre guest.

[dramatic music]

Excellent. Excellent!

The perfect crime committed by one of my own creations.

I will have the richest collection

of artifacts in the world.

Now, to put more of my creatures to work.

[beeping]

[growling]

[alarm ringing]

Great golden aura! Another robbery at the Perry Mansion.

[beeping]

[intense music]

Stop where you are, my strange amigo.

Now, that is not simpatico.

[growling]

There must be something more you can tell me.

Only that this painting seems different somehow, Wonder Woman.

[male narrator] Using his powers of telepathy, El Dorado sends

a thought message to Wonder Woman.

[El Dorado thinking] Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman. Are you hearing me?

Telepathic message from El Dorado.

[El Dorado] Another robbery carried out again by some strange monster.

[Wonder Woman thinking] Yes, El Dorado. Go on.

I'll meet you back at the Hall of Justice.

You tripped the alarm and alerted the Super Friends.

[growling]

Now, you shall pay the penalty!

Now, I must stop the Super Friends

from interfering with my robbery plans again.

And I know just how to do it.

[male narrator] Later, at the Hall of Justice...

But where are these monsters coming from and why are they

stealing fine art?

I don't know, Wonder Woman, but an exhibit of rare

Aztec treasures just opened at the Metro Museum.

[bell rings]

Someone's at the delivery entrance.

It's a painting... of a monster.

How very strange.

A gift from an artist named John Palette.

Hmm, well, it's not paintings of monsters we have to worry about.

I must go to the museum and stand guard myself.

[intense music]

A rare gold sunburst at the museum?

I must have this masterpiece for my collection.

But first, I must make sure the Super Friends

don't interfere again.

[beeping]

[growling]

Great Hera! The monster has come out of the painting.

[growling]

Mr. Palette sent us quite an unfriendly painting.

[growling]

Ah! This monster's playing for keeps.

Let's cool you off with some cryonic rays.

[growling]

So, that's it.

Palette is able to bring his painted creatures to life

to steal for him. I've got to warn El Dorado at the museum.

[male narrator] Meanwhile, at the Metro Museum...

[intense music]

Well, closing time and no sign of trouble.

Oh, again.

[squawking]

What's that?

[squawking]

Now, it's my turn to attack, scaly one.

[Wonder Woman] Not so fast, my winged thief.

[squawking]

The monsters came from Palette's paintings.

We have to get to his studio and stop him.

Bueno. And an image of our monster friend here

will help us gain entrance.

[male narrator] And with his hologram vision, El Dorado creates

a three-dimensional image of the monster.

[intense music]

Where is the Aztec treasure?

You dare to come here without it?

You shall pay for your bungling.

This is the end of your painting career, Palette.

You have painted yourself into a corner, amigo.

An illusion, eh?

Well, Super Friends, I also have my own tricks up my sleeve.

[beeping]

[growling]

This didn't work on my hologram creature

but my guess is it'll wash your paint monsters away.

[growling]

[dramatic music]

Hold it right there, Palette.

You don't appreciate my art.

Not at all, Palette. But we do know what we like.

Si. And it's not the art of robbery.

[intense music]

[male narrator] Through the vastness of space, walks Colossus

the giant of giants.

Whiz whiz whiz

Reckless and destructive, this cosmic barbarian

turns his savage eye on the Earth's solar system.

[sniggering]

Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice

the Super Friends respond quickly

to this huge, mysterious threat.

[beeping]

Our computers show that this is a giant strand of hair.

And that's what's blocking the sun's rays?

[rumbling]

- What was that, Superman? - I don't know.

But my telescopic vision may give us a clue.

Zap

[intense music]

[Superman] Great Scott! It's some sort of cosmic giant.

Our entire solar system is in danger.

I've got to fight that creature off.

[rumbling]

I'll monitor the situation from here, Superman.

Swoosh

The best one.

I'll see what I can hit.

[dramatic music]

Superman, Earth has been pulled out of the solar system.

It's on a collision course with another planet.

I'll stop that.

[dramatic music]

Got to steer Earth away from that planet.

Swoosh

Missed.

I save for later.

[male narrator] With Superman and planet Earth bottled up...

...Apache Chief charges into action.

Inuk-chuk. Inuk-chuk.

Inuk-chuk.

Inuk-chuk!

Inuk-chuk!

[Superman] While Apache Chief handles the giant

I'll put the Earth back in orbit.

Who are you?

This hunting grounds of Colossus.

[intense music]

You cannot treat Earth like one of your playthings, Colossus.

All cosmos is mine.

You are too big for your own good, Colossus.

This shrink ray will trim you down to size.

Huh! I get small. No!

[male narrator] And so, the mighty Colossus, reduced to the size

of ordinary mortals, plummets to Earth.

I destroy Earthlings. I tear Earth to bits!

[snarling]

Apache Chief shrunk Colossus down

but he's still extremely powerful... and dangerous.

Colossus is on a rampage! That bridge is in danger.

Swoosh

[rumbling]

[people clamoring]

[grunting]

[growling]

I've got to prop it up.

[dramatic music]

You not stop me.

I go destroy more.

[sniggering]

Apache Chief.

- I'll mend this, Superman. - And I'll stop Colossus.

[chugging]

[horn blaring]

I wreck train.

[creaking]

Colossus must be stopped!

What's he going to try to wreck next?

[computer over radio] Hall of Justice under attack.

Hall of Justice under attack.

That answers my question.

[intense music]

[grunting] I pull down.

[Superman] Save your strength, Colossus.

Your wrecking spree is over.

I squash you like bug.

Zap

I do better. I tear building inside-out.

Oh, no, you won't.

Zap

[Colossus laughing] I like this.

This fun.

[Colossus sniggering]

Oh, no. The disintegrator ray.

- Stop! - You disintegrate.

Zap

Enough is enough.

Ah!

[whirring]

Let's do him a real good turn, Apache Chief.

Get ready to fly back into space, Colossus.

[inhaling]

[Colossus screaming]

Looks like we cut Colossus down to size, Superman.

He won't be disturbing Earth again.
