[male narrator] High above the hills of the city

at the Metropolis Observatory

a concerned group of astronomers

is about to make a startling discovery.

Dr. Varga, these computer readouts indicate

an extreme change in the magnetic field

on the Planet Mars.

I see what you mean, Professor Brooks.

Colbert, reset the telescope coordinates

get us a view of Mars.

Those charged particles from Mars' magnetic field

are heading straight for Earth.

There's no telling what might happen when it collides

with Earth's magnetic field.

[male narrator] With the speed of light, the charged

magnetic particles from Mars

travel across the solar system

on the direct course for the Planet Earth.

Quick! We've got to get out of the street.

It must be some sort of freak storm.

Holy kilowatts! This lightning storm we're having

is increasing the electrical activity all over the Earth.

I have a feeling we won't get much rest tonight.

[laughs] It looks like Gleek isn't getting much rest either.

Our computers have confirmed that the lightning

that's battering the Earth has been caused

by a strange disturbance in Mars' magnetic fields.

But what we can't explain is that it seems to have been

created by some sort of unnatural cause.

- We'll take care of it, doctor. - Superman, look.

[beeping]

According to the TroubAlert

emergency map, that lightning

is causing disasters all over the globe.

Wonder Woman, Aquaman

you and I will handle the emergencies.

You two monitor the TroubAlert.

Robin and I will take off for Mars and find out

what's causing that magnetic disturbance.

[instrumental music]

[male narrator] Within seconds the Super Friends streak off

to the four corners of the earth

in an attempt to rescue a peril planet.

[intense music]

I've got to act fast if I'm going to save that jetliner.

[thunder crashing]

[fire blazing]

A supercharged blast of my invisible jet engine

should put the flames out.

[instrumental music]

[thunder crashing]

Great Scott!

I've got to get to that truck

before it crashes into the ocean.

[intense music]

[thunder crashing]

That last lightning bolt cut the bridge support.

My only chance is to weld it back with my heat vision.

[thuds]

[male narrator] But as the incredible display of lightning continues

to batter the Earth...

Batman and Robin approach their

destination on the planet Mars.

[dramatic music]

Keep a careful eye on your instruments, Robin

we've got to find the source of that magnetic disturbance.

Holy meter readings, Batman.

I'm picking up some strange signals from the north.

And the Batcorder indicates more magnetic fluctuations

to the south.

We better split up, Robin.

Call me the minute you find anything.

That's strange, according to this Bat-magnetometer the source

of the magnetic disturbance should be right here.

But I don't see a thing out of the ordinary.

[intense music]

The Earth beings are using their primitive devices

to search us out.

If they get too close

we will have to neutralize them.

According to the Batcoder I'm just about

at the source of the disturbance.

Great God!

These brain creatures must be

behind the disturbances in the Martian atmosphere.

You are correct, Earth man.

It is unfortunate that you have found us.

We must protect our mission and neutralize you.

[zapping]

There is no escape, Earth man.

all forms of life on each of the planets

[Batman] The lightning we have created on Earth is being stopped

by the others known as the Super Friends.

[creature 1] Then they must be stopped first.

This is Batman on Mars

base one, calling Super Friends.

[thunder rumbling]

This is Superman. Go ahead, Batman.

I couldn't find a thing to the north, Batman.

You must come to Mars immediately, Superman.

Robin and I are in extreme danger.

[intense music]

Great Scott! He's been cut off.

I've got to stop this lightning and get to Mars with the others.

My only chance is to fly into the stratosphere

and let all of the lightning discharge into me.

[male narrator] Later at the Hall of Justice...

There's been no word from Batman and Robin

since they radioed their emergency message, Superman.

We've got to get to Mars and find out what's wrong.

[male narrator] Millions of miles from Earth

the Super Friends arrive at the Planet Mars.

There's no sign of Batman or Robin anywhere.

I'll scan the area with my telescopic vision.

[intense music]

Great Scott! Batman's trapped in the Martian desert.

We've got to hurry. This way.

Excellent. Soon the Super Earth beings will be gone.

And we can continue with our mission.

[music continues]

It's too late, Super Friends.

You'll never get out of this Martian desert alive.

What's gotten into Batman?

I don't know. But we'd better do something fast. Look.

[wind howling]

[growling]

This sand is sucking me down.

My only chance is to try to blow the sand away.

[Wonder Woman] It's going to drop us into the lava.

Now, to take care of that sand monster

with a little sandstorm.

Something must have affected Batman's mind.

We better head back toward the Batrocket

and try to find him.

you won't be causing us any more trouble.

Nothing will get in the way of our plans now.

The two of you, will head back to Earth

and start a global meteor storm

that will destroy the entire planet.

[dramatic music]

Our mission will be complete

as soon as you make Earth devoid of life.

We will head for the asteroid belt between Earth and Mars

and begin the meteor storm.

Holy falling stars! We've got to do something.

Unless we figure some way out of this trap

there's nothing we can do.

[male narrator] As Superman and Batman arrive

at the incredible asteroid belt...

They gather dozens of giant space rocks,

for their attack on the Earth.

I wonder what Superman and Batman are doing

with those asteroids.

Yeah, they said, they were going to notify us

when they learned anything.

[intense music]

[male narrator] Meanwhile, in New York city...

[water splashes]

[waves crashing]

Jupiters! That meteor just caused a tidal wave

that could destroy New York.

And worst than that, Superman caused it.

We better do something before the rest of those meteors

batter the Earth.

[both] Wonder Twin powers! Activate!

Shape of an ice jet.

Form of a giant hawk.

[Zan] Gleek and I will take care of the danger in New York.

[Jayna] Right. I'll see if I can stop the meteor storm.

[dramatic music]

Quick! Run for cover!

[waves crashing]

Hang on, Gleek. We're going down.

Shape of an ice stand.

[male narrator] Millions of miles away, in outer space...

[dramatic music]

I'm going to try to deflect those meteors

before they hit any populated areas.

[dramatic music]

[Jayna] I did it!

That giant hawk, must be one of the Wonder Twins

that is recorded in Superman's memory circuits.

They two of them, are delaying our plans.

They must be taken care of.

[male narrator] Back on the distant Planet Mars...

According to the telepathic monitor Superman and Batman

are having difficulty completing their mission.

We had better send the other three Earth beings to help them.

Very well. We must take over their minds.

Holy brain washers! What do we do?

We've got to get free.

It is useless, Earth man. You cannot escape.

Aquaman, Robin, I've got a plan

that should take care of everything.

There is no time to waste.

Take over the Earth-beings' brains.

Their minds are under control. Quick, to the invisible jet.

This time when we arrive at the Earth

there should be little resistance.

[male narrator] Using her own incredible

mental powers, Wonder Woman struggles

to free herself of the brain creature's hold.

[thinking] Got to keep control.

The Earth woman is regaining control.

I'm almost there.

[male narrator] Over-powering the mental control

of the evil brain creature

Wonder Woman steers the invisible jet

toward a strange magnetic cloud in space.

Buzz buzz buzz

But, what happened?

The magnetic cloud we just passed through

trapped the brain creatures.

We've got to get back to Earth, and fast.

The Earth beings have tricked the others.

They will return to their planet

and try to stop our mission.

Alert all of the others.

We will go to Earth ourselves and destroy them.

[male narrator] But as the hideous brain creatures move up

in great numbers toward their sinister rendezvous...

Still more danger awaits the Wonder Twins, back on Earth.

Nice work, Wonder brother.

Looks like for once, we saved the day.

Guess again, Jayna. Look!

Superman, what's happened?

Don't you remember us?

Quick, take them to the docks.

[intense music]

[motor revving]

Now, that we've taken care of the Wonder Twins

we must continue our mission.

[male narrator] Once again Superman and Batman

proceed with their sinister plans.

Showering the Earth

with a deadly barrage of white hot meteors.

It's raining rocks! Run for your lives!

Come on, Zan, reach.

Our only way out of here is our Exor powers.

[Zan grunting] It's no use, Jayna. I can't make it.?

[intense music]

[chattering]

Gleek, where have you been?

Never mind, where he's been, look where we're going.

[Jayna] We're headed right for The Statue of Liberty.

Quick, Gleek. Grab the steering wheel and turn!

Oh, no!

Holy Wonder torpedo! Zan and Jayna are in terrible danger.

- I'll take care of them. - Right, Aquaman.

Robin and I will try to stop the meteors.

Quick, Gleek, turn the wheel, the other way!

No! Not that way!

[dramatic music]

I've got to try to steer them clear of the danger.

[Zan] Look out! We're finished!

Thanks, Aquaman.

[chattering]

[dramatic music]

We've got to stop the meteor shower

before Superman, destroys the surface of the Earth.

Some fast maneuvering with the invisible jet

should take care of that.

Wonder Woman and Robin are stopping the meteors.

We must destroy them.

Holy rocket twins, Wonder Woman.

Superman and Batman, are after us.

Don't worry, Robin. I know just what to do.

The Bat-disintegrator will stop them.

[dramatic music]

The magnetic field of this cloud

trapped the brain creature.

My mind is free.

The brain creature, it's left my mind.

Just as I was about to destroy the invisible jet.

Nice work, Wonder Woman.

Batman and I, will meet you at the Hall of Justice.

[intense music]

We've got to return to Mars, and figure out a way

to stop those evil brain creatures.

We don't have far to go. Look!

They're starting to surround the Earth.

We must align all of our minds, into a thought link.

With our total mental power we can rip apart the Earth!

Holy dooms day! There's no way to stop the brain creatures.

There maybe, Robin.

If we can run a super charged flow of electricity

through the center of the Earth, from one pole to another

we maybe able to increase the Earth's magnetic field and trap

all of the brain creatures in a magnetic envelope.

Right, Wonder Woman, I'll go to the North Pole and focus

all of northern hemisphere's energy at one point.

Right, Superman. We'll do the same with the South Pole.

[male narrator] Later, at the North Pole...

[wind howling]

Fantastic, Superman.

The energy of almost a 100 nations

is focused right here.

Over a trillion kilowatts.

Okay, Batman, we're ready at the North Pole.

It's trapping our mental energy.

Now, to send those brain creatures

on their final journey.

Those brain creatures are billions of miles away by now.
